Okay, so this is a great place for inexpensive BUT GOOD pizza, Italian and sandwiches in Berwyn. It's the BEST place for wings in Berwyn. They're not the sloppy, saucy kind that I admit I love from time to time, but they're crispy and are spiced rather than slathered in hot sauce. You won't need hot sauce for these because of the spices that are cooked right into the crunchy breading. When my baby's blue, I like to take him here for the proper medicine we simply call "Benny's" usually meaning the chicken wings, or "wingies". Wash that down with a pitcher of beer and it seems to be the perfect cure for his ailments. We usually order our food through a hole in the wall (literally) that connects Benny's (which is a walk-in, carry-out location, not dine-in) to our favorite hole-in-the-wall bar called Beavers. We go to our hole-in-the-wall watering hole and order (not yell) through a hole-in-the-wall to our usual friendly Benny's kitchen staff and head home after a pitcher with some super satisfying food for cheap. What more can you ask for?

We just love Benny's Pizza and their pastas too. If you want the crust thinner, just ask them to make it extra thin. If you want it well done (hard to get many places), just ask for it well done. They will do it. Their sauce is so good on the pizzas, the sausage is so good, the crust is just perfect. The pastas (order meatballs to go with it....DELISH) are great as well. We order from the at least once a week. Plus, their prices are very reasonable.

The regular crust is thick enough to hold all the cheese and other toppings without seeming like you'll be chewing forever and getting dry mouth in the process. The sauce is a sweeter than a place like Salerno's - more akin to DiNico's or Nonno's (but not as sweet as Paisan's). Prices for pizza are pretty cheap for your basic cheese or 1-topping, but they add up quickly depending on size and number - it'll cost you an extra $5 for 2 toppings on a party pizza. To be fair, the menu clearly states this, but still, it can get pricey quickly. They don't seem to have as many toppings but it almost seems like they make up for that with a slightly better quality. All in all, this is a rebuke of my previous review - Benny's has some great pizza.

Bennys had some good pizza...but to me it's a bit pricey...theres so many other good pizza places with reasonable prices that makes you think before ordering...

I like Benny's because from what i know they are the only ones that offer a 10 in stuffed pizza for 12 bucks that can feed up to 2 3....The sauce is great! and the quality of the sausage is great, its nicely seasoned

Ordered a pizza from here and it was better than expected. The sauce and cheese are of good quality and it was delivered hot and in good time. The price is slightly lower than competitors. I only wish the pizza was delivered in a box so it was easier to store leftovers.

If you're looking for ambience Bennys is not the place but if you're looking for hands-down the best pizza in Chicago or for that fact the best I've had coast-to-coast. Then Benny's has to be your choice. A Berwyn family owned and run staple for over 40 years and going strong. This isn't your Chicago deep dish or the tortilla thin pizza wanna-be's nor the mass produced plastic out there. It's the perfect crust, zesty sauce, real cheese and some of the best sausage toppings. My only ask would be that they build a second location farther out west where good pizza is sorely lacking. But then again it does give me a good excuse to visit my hometown coming from downtown and pickup to bring home to the family. If you call ahead they can par bake one or even freeze you a couple. If you pick one up fully baked I've got $100 that says you won't make it home before sampling :)

I don't care how non-people friendly they are when I call them. I mean, As the phone is ringing, the guy picks up so quick and he's pretty much yelling: "BENNY'S!" "OK WHAT DO YA WANT?" " OK WHERE WE GOING" "OKAY 24.95" "OK IT'LL BE AN HOUR" -Click- Their pizza is the best in this city of Berwyn. They blow Paisans out of the water, DiNicos, Anythony's, Falcos - pffft. They have crispy crust, lots of cheese, great sauce, and the more toppings the better! Honestly, never have ordered anything else but the pizza, not sure about the appetizers or beef. The only thing I wish they did was get on GrubHub so then I don't even have to bother the loud guy on the phone. I can sit in bed and just wait for it to arrive.

Love it... So much better than some of the other pizza joints in the area! They have been consitent for decades.

I love me some Benny's! This place has been a Berwyn staple fahever! It's just a solid pizza place with the obligatory Italian pastas, beef sandwiches and fried chicken on the menu to please the folks of Cicero and Berwyn. We always order the pizza with hot gardiniere as a topping. They don't skimp on toppings and I like their sauce. It's not sweet at all which is a pet peeve of mine with pizza sauce. I'm not a toddler and I can handle a sauce with some oomph and spice! They have some of the lamest specials though I have to say. If you buy 20 pizzas and save the coupon on the pizza box, you will get $4.00 off your 21st pizza. Yep, no screaming deal here! You can eat in but it's not much, just a few tables. Order for delivery or pick it up. I love institutions like this. Family owned and a mainstay in good old Berwyn.

Benny's is a decent pizza, needs a little more sauce but probably the best thin pizza now in Berwyn area.

Although Benny's has great pizza their delivery program is for shit. The thing is, the owner is a very cool and good at customer service. I'm writing this review to notify him of what's been going on all these years. I'm tired of apologies or credits to my account. Something needs to be done about their delivery program. I've been ordering from them since I was 23 years old. Now I'm 38. They always tell you that the delivery will be there between 45 minutes to an hour. I used to deliver pizzas in Oak Park. Typically when they dispatch deliveries 2 or 3 to a guy, the closest home gets delivered to first. I live six minutes away from them. Not once in the last 15 years has the order gotten to my house in less than 58 minutes. They are professionals it getting the delivery there between 58 minutes and 60 minutes. All their delivery guys are pieces of shit! The management is even worse for never correcting this problem. The shame of it all is that they are my favorite pizza place. However I'm forced not to order from them unless I want to pick it up which is never. Eff you Bennys and your "management" team!

We are a Falco's pizza family but we just moved in to our new place and decided to try something new. We got a Benny's menu when we moved in so we ordered at 5:57 and it took them over an hour and a half to get it to us. I had to call them to check on it and they had the nerve to say "you just ordered 30 minutes ago, it will get there soon", the driver shows up 8 minutes later. (We live about 5 minutes from there). The pizza is not that great, and they forgot part of our order. Probably won't order again. ...

Okay, here's the quick scoop on my personal favorite order from Benny's. Thin crust pizza with Italian beef and hot giardinara is so good. You get thin slices beef, super flavorful, and the whole garden of veggies mixed with hot and spicy jalapeños. If spicy isn't your thing, their other ingredients are also tasty, but for my money, it doesn't get better than the beef and giardinara from Benny's!

Wow...what a difference 2 years makes. I used to live in Berwyn and ALWAYS ordered Bennys every week. I moved and came back to visit my sisters house and told them ordering Bennys was a MUST! We ordered 2 beef sandwiches dipped a family pizza and the fried ravioli. The beef was TERRIBLE.we asked for it dipped it was DRY NO FLAVOR AT ALL! Sweet peppers were the green peppers they put on the pizza steamed and limp. When we called back to say the parmesan cheese and hot peppers were missing we were told in a sarcastic patronizing tone " You need to ask for it" we said we did its on the receipt we were told hang on and then hung up on. We called back asked for a manager and the same rude guy said I am the manager you didn't ask for it. So instead of arguing with an idiot I am posting my DISGUST. The food quality is NOT THERE ANYMORE!

Pizza is great but don't plan on eating there. I get delivery or take out. Crust is not too thick or too thin. Order extra sauce it is the best!!

I don't care what anyone says I love Benny's. Been ordering here for about 20 yrs and I love their pizza. Absolutely delicious. The guys here have always been nice so if they are rude to you then you probably have said something out of pocket. Anyway, love their food. One of the best places in Berwyn. Now I'm only rating the pizza I never had anything else.

Great service, shitty pizza. Greasy and nothing fresh about it. Several better options around town.

Just went here tonight to get some pizza. This isn't really a restaurant; it's just a white room with some tables and a little window where you pick up your order. The people were very friendly! We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, garlic bread and cole slaw. The garlic bread was pretty good, as was the cole slaw, but the pizza dough had obviously been frozen at some point. It tasted a little like Sam's Club pizza crust. It was okay, but I'm surprised at all of the stellar reviews here. Overall, probably not a place we'll be going back to.

First time ordering from this place, it was recommended by a friend. Have also heard good things from other people. Very surprised by how rude the phone person was, got our food missing items, other things not as we ordered. Called back, got ruder person on phone. Never ever again.

Yuck! I would compare this pizza to the quality of a cheap frozen pizza OR if I've ever eaten pizza from a convenient store (which I have not) this is what I would imagine it tasting like. The crust and cheese were flavorless! I ordered here based on the great reviews, but my tastebuds find something different. Never again! I give it an extra star b/c the service was really good.

This place has to be my favorite place for pizza! Benny's has been a staple in my family since I was a little girl. We always ordered pizzas or pasta with a side of meatballs. It's really their sauce that steals the show! I do wish they had more of an ambiance in their "dining" area as this place is really more for just a carry out or delivery. They do have a wide delivery zone which is great as I live in a neighboring town.

We've been going to this place since I can remember. But like so many of us, we move out and move on. I am now in Southern California and saw people on Facebook talking about growing up in Chicago and the things to remember and someone mentioned Benny's Pizza. I can remember going grocery shopping with my mom on snowy Fridays and having Benny's for dinner every Friday. OK OK... enough of the memory lane.... (EXCUSE ME!) anyways... I was back in Chicago last month and decided to grab a Party size ZA on my way from O'Hare to my parents house. Needless to say it still ROCKS!... Though it seems smaller than before. (Maybe because everything looks huge when you're a kid) and the price went up about $10. But it still took me back and the taste was awesome. I will be coming back next weekend and may just grab another! Or a Connie's down on Archer! Either way..... give it a try!!!!

As far as pizza goes I think everyone should try this pizza! the people are friendly and deiveries are always in good time. the pizza has a nice thick layer of cheese and toppings are always really good, you just cant believe the pizzas gone when your done and you want more. the price is slightly higher then other places in the area but what you get for the money is totally worth it. they have other items on the menu as well and nothing there dissapoints. its well worth the money if you are in the area and want some good food.

okok, i did deliver for them a while ago, but I have to admit I drive a hour to get it on th way home a few times a month. Great sausage pizza, oh by the way if you order a sausage pizza, you dont ahve to say cheese adn sausage becuase a pizza ISNT a PIZZA without the CHEESE! each pizza place has its own flavor and taste, freddy's, salerno's, homeruninn, casciani's etc! to me Benny's is the best!!!!

Benny's is my favorite pizza in Berwyn.. the quality sausage and fresh vegetables on this pizza just gives it better flavor the any other spot in town.. the sauce taste good as well.. and the dough is thin crust.. Love it! I order pizza from Benny's at least 3-4 times a month.. 4 stars because I have yet to try anything else out..

I haven't had Benny's pizza since my Ciceronian days long, long ago. As my memory serves me, I can still say that seven years later, Benny's was the best around. What really made this pizza superior was its sauce--slightly sweet. The crust was just perfect and crunchy. To be honest here, I'm very sick and have strange fever-induced dreams. I just woke up from a dream that included a strong smell of Benny's pizza and fries. I wish they were open at 3:40am.

I've eaten pizza here for years. The crust is not too thin or too thick, but still crispy enough. The sauce is good and a tad bit sweet. Definitely do toppings because they always taste good.
