Awesome! Great food and good service. It's in our neighborhood, so we go quite often. Skip the "Bell" and head for Jalisco's!!!!!

Absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in this area. Their tortas and shredded beef tacos are great. Parking is annoying, but it's worth the annoyance.

GREAT mexican food that is affordable. This location is my 'go to" destination to fullfill my pork tostada crave! It is indeed a small space, but the service and quality make up for that. My only negative is that the television is ALWAYS on the HIGHEST volume. A definate distraction if you decide to eat inside. This is geneally a carry-out for me because of that.

I have frequented Jalisco Tacos II for years now [on and off]. They are definitley authentic mexican short order food. I say short order because I wouldn't classify it as fast food grade i.e. taco bell, and on the other hand I would not classify it as restaurant quality food either, i.e. La Quienta De Los Reyes. Jalisco tacos is a happy medium. Like their name, their tacos are actually really good... most people usually get steak, but be adventurous... try tongue, or shredded beef, or my personal favorite: Al Pastor. They have other dishes as well that are worth a nod or two. The Enchiliadas are great, tortas are cheap but pretty darn good, and if you are feeling like you want to try something out of the ordinary but really flavorful... then try the gordita de chiccharon. They have been there as long as I can remember. The Horchata is superb and they are very generous with the size portions compared to price. They also have a candy / dessert canister by the counter... I would go for something with coconut in it. Service is very good, if you are eating in, they will bring you chips and homemade salsa's [chiles]. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because there has been more than one occassion where the food seemed to be a little too greasy and had the "sitting in the warmer too long" appearance. Other than that... I would say, go for it, and try as many different tacos as you can!

Always delicious and always quick. I like the tongue tacos. Wish they had more parking though.

Wow, I work 2 mins away & we only come in here a couple time a year. Was crusing home wanting something quick & there it is-an empty parking space on the corner of Galena and Highland. Got some Chorizo & chicken tacos & a burrito(chico) of desesbrada for lunch next day. Out the door for less than $10 for 2 outstanding meals!

If you're looking for a no-frills, high-quality taco experience, this is a great little place. Very inexpensive and all taco choices known to man. I was the only gringo in the place but they treated me well. I will be back when I'm in that area!

Good authentic Mexican food. The place is small and always busy from neighborhood people doing take out orders.

I love Jaliscos!! My favorite place to get Mexican! Foods great, service is great, clean restaurant. Only thing that can get tricky is parking.

Lived in Aurora my whole life so I have been here plenty of times however about 5 years ago I found some hair in my food. It happens I understand that about 3 months later I tried it again and I couldn't believe it hair again. The food is good so almost 5 years later I'm gonna give them one last chance tonight. Wish me luck

I love their crispy chicken tacos so much I could cry. I can't comment on authenticity, but what I do know is I crave this place - like I have to stop myself from having lunch and dinner in the same day there. The prices are awesome, the food is fresh, and the employees are super friendly and fast. If eating here daily didn't result in me gaining weight rapidly, I'd be a regular.

This is a little restaurant! The food is quite good for being fast food, try their guacamole its the best I've had from a restaurant! I hate that this restaurant is so small!

So, this little place is great!! Its very small, almost like whole in the wall. I love coming to this kinds of places because most of the time you'll be surprised. The food was very delicious and very inexpensive. I ordered the combo #1 which includes 3 tacos, rice and beans. I got stake tacos and orchata. Everything tastes very authentic. The orchata is not too sweet, it's just very refreshing and the way it's supposed to be. If you are in the area and want to have the real thing, this is it. I loved it and I'll be coming here again. Oh! The people here are super nice! Good customer service!

Ok.. this place is way too inconsistent. Last time I picked up an order my pastor burrito was a sloppy mess. Basically inedible.

This place has awesome food and it's cheap as hell, only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the parking sucks. Other then that the restaurant is 5 stars. It's kinda a whole in the wall but if you want real Mexican food what do you expect. Absolutely delicious! oh and it's super fast and you can call 10 min ahead of time and by the time you get there it's done

Jalisco's is an awesome place. Parking is a little awkward right off of Galena Avenue, and the restaurant looks a little skeezy from the outside, but it is SO worth it. They have so many combinations and it all comes with a huge amount of food, and you'll only spend about five dollars for everything. You'll even have to take home.

LOVE Jaliscos! DELICIOUS guacamole, great horchata and great tacos (always have gotten chicken). Go here with coworkers a few times a year, and we love it. Parking lot is tiny so best to carpool. Also, the place definitely has an ambiance of being in a restaurant in Mexico, but I think that adds to the charm :)

Hubby did a machine install at the "Save A Lot," and the manager of the grocery store recommended this place for lunch. Upon opening the menu, I saw many regular items such as tacos, tortas, burritos, and gorditas. Everything was very reasonably-priced. For examples, the taco is $1.40 per piece. A standard Mexican joint will typically charge 1.70 per piece. We ordered a small asada burrito and pastor taco platter. They were portioned nicely for lunch. I tried the horchata hubby ordered. It was well-flavored and didnt contain excessive amount of sugar. Everything was good, but I am picky because of being a foodie Chicago. The service was quite attentive. I know it sounds silly, but I would like to give a shout-out to the ladies' room: it was super clean and smelled amazing! They even provided the toliet covers. I did not try the condiments for dine-in patrons, nor the people in my party. However, they looked pretty decent. I do not think I personally will come this way. I am too satisfied with what Chicago offers. P.S. When we went to pay for our food, we were charged for the chips and salsa that the friend asked for. They charged $1.50 without informing us ahead of time. Normally this item is complementary at any other Mexican joint. Be aware! That was why the two (2) star-review warrants.

This little place was definitely authentic Mexican food!! The location was easy to find and we were glad it was open late on the weekend. When we walked in we were greeted kindly by the employees. My friends and I ordered Ceviche Tostadas, Tacos, Gorditas and a Asada Torta. Everything was delicious that I myself had to go back before leaving town for more Ceviche Tostadas! I will definitely return when I'm back in the Chicago area!!

Of all the years I've been in Aurora, I've never once had a negative experience with Jaliscos. Their food is good and is made fast, and fresh upon ordering. The only downfall of this location is the parking. It's parking is parallel to Galena Blvd and Elmwood which makes it hard to enter and exit any parking slots. My go to taco joint.

My wife and I stopped here for some lunch Sunday and man, the hard shell chicken taco platter was delicious! If you like deep fried corn shells, and greasy (like me!) this place is for you! The steak tacos were also great, I am definitely a fan of this place

Good food. Nice staff, even though they do always try to give me lettuce and tomato first. Cilantro and onion please. I am pretty white, so I understand the initial guess. LoL

Great food and great prices! The staff is always customer focus. I have been supporting this location for years. I have never had a bad experience.

I live pretty close to this place and have gone here multiple times in the last few months. I will admit I have had way better Mexican food before but this place is pretty solid. Good prices and pretty speedy/helpful service. Perfect if you are looking for some greasy food to coat your stomach late at night.

The j is pronounced like an h. That's confusing. Mi amo gringo para siempre. Also whenever I order they always say they want to pinch my merry cones. I know I'm a big dude but I didn't think my moobs had reached the proportional size to call them cones. All hilarious banter aside the food here is legit. It's about as close to a Chicago grade taqueria that you will find in the burbs. The lengua tacos are on point. Although I get mine with flour tortilla and cheese. Tacos del gringo para mi. This review might be borderline offensive/awful. Be easy on me it's been a while since I wrote one of these things and I'm a little rusty. Aren't you proud that I didn't end that sentence with trombone ? Ok. Back to the rock I've been smo.....errrr hiding under.

I feel like the quality of the meat has gone down. The last few times our beef has had a lot of fatty and inedible pieces and the flavor is lacking. I had been excited to have a taco place near by but I've found myself thinking twice before ordering from here cause it's such a hit or miss now.

Over the last year, the food quality and service has declined. The food is OK, but not nearly as good as it used to be. In an area with lots of taco places, this is probably a C+. My biggest gripe is that they consistently mess up call in orders- even when you place orders in Spanish. The last few times that I placed order, we have been shorted on items. Because everything is wrapped in aluminum foil, it is an enormous hassle to unpackaged everything to make sure they got it right before leaving. With so many other taco places in the area, I will probably not go back.

Excellent food! Service is great and I have never had a problem with the taste or quality.

I used to love this place. The horchata is still very good, but I would never choose a Mexican restaurant for their horchata. The salsa is very good too - one of the best in Aurora (I'm referring to the salsa that comes with the chips... the free stuff that comes with your meal is average). The steak is awful, and has been on a steady decline over the past two years. There's always a big hunk of blubber in my tacos/tortas/tostadas... and usually it's two or three hunks of blubber. The employees are on auto-pilot, and the other west side establishments have surpassed them - La Palapa, Taqueria Muniz, and Taqueria El Tio are all better choices.

Stopped in here for a burrito over lunch. Layout is confusing. Do I sit down and get table service or do I order from counter and then sit down. Seemed that people were doing both. Burrito was good, but not great; somewhat of a let down based on reviews here. Parking is an absolute bitch and one reason why I will not be coming back. Overall did not feel this place stood out from the std. Mex shacks all over the area.

I really wanted to give this place more than 3 stars for the fact that (a) it's close to work, (b) my students have raved about it since the day I started working here and (c) it looked like your typical hole-in-the-wall taqueria that I love. The location isn't the best, considering they have a total of 6 parking spaces, however it had added to its mom-and-pop vibe for me. I came at 11, hoping to avoid the major lunch rush, and I was right. There were about half the tables full, but they were not busy by any means. By chance, I saw a co-worker here during my visit, grabbing lunch before the same meeting later this afternoon. (This becomes importat later in my review). I usually judge my mexican restaurants by their tacos and guacamole. So, I ordered my usual...three tacos, one desebrada (essentially mexican pulled pork) and two asada (steak) and a side of chips and guacamole. And than myself and the coworker (who had order and was waiting when I arrived).....waited....and waited. Than the person taking our order came back out and re-wrote my coworker's order, as it seemed that they had misplaced it! By the time our orders came up, they came up together. The cashier was very confused (as were the people in the kitchen aparently!) and charged my corworker for my order! Good thing we know each other; because she was in a rush, she ended up paying for both our orders, and I just gave her cash for mine. Had we NOT known each other, this would have lead to more frustration on both our parts! Personally, waiting 15 minutes for three tacos during lunchtime does not bode well! Anywho, on to the food. The three tacos I got were pretty good in flavor, compared to those I've had elsewhere. The pulled pork was probably one of the better I've had, with the meat being very juicy. In comparison, the steak was a little dry, althogh the flavor was delicious! The guacamole was just ok. You could tell that, although homemade, it seemed like they made a large batch earlier that day and that's what they used for the service throughout the day. The chips were also ok...not hot like I'm use to at other mexican restaurants, but they were sturdy to stand up to guacamole and salsa scooping. Overall, I was expecting a little more from them based on the hype (and reviews!). I will, however, try them again soon. Maybe it was an off day!

The real deal! Great service, authentic. Food was awesome, reasonably priced. Had the chicken enchiladas and tostada and they tasted outstanding. Great sauce, texture and just the right heat. I will be back!

$5.30 for 3 tacos, beans, and rice are you kidding me? Well if half of the carne asada tacos weren't fat this would be a good deal. Unfortunately they were and I was spitting out chunks like watermelon seeds. Gross... On the other hand the al pastor tacos, although not authentic, were pretty tasty. The rice was run of the mill but the beans were nice and silky smooth. Horchata was missing something too. About as cheap as you are gonna find tacos so check it out if your on a budget. I mean there is a reason the tacos are so cheap. Your smart just think about it...Id say go with the al pastor but its up to you maybe some of the other fillings are better. Ill check it out again since its close to my gf's sisters place.

This is a great little authentic Mexican restaurant. The food is so good. I love their beef tacos and their guacamole. Their prices are really good and the staff is very friendly. The place is small and parking can get difficult if more than 2 people are there. But, people seem to go in for pick ups more than eating in, so the cars come and go fast. Definitely a good place to try if you want some Hispanic food for a good price.

Great authentic mexican food. Not the fanciest place around but very good food at a very resonable price. Horchata is terrific!!!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
