This is a generous 3-stars. In terms of cheap eats, the food here is ok. The restaurant is indeed fairly dirty so I've always picked up or used the drive through but the food here can be inconsistent. The gyros and pizza puffs and burgers and curly fries tend to be some of the better things i've had, but anything that requires fresh ingredients i'd definitely stay away from just based on the cleanliness of the place. It's a little disconcerting how fast they push out orders too, makes me think everything is sitting around waiting to be slightly warmed up. I won't refuse to eat here but I wouldn't recommend it. Staff has always been fairly nice though.

Great value, great food, great service! Everything was great!! The restaurant was also extremely clean, even the bathroom. The restaurant also did not smell bad. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and garlic bread. Huge portions!! Enough for two people!

I've been to Goodys dozens of times. Their food is always decent, and their selection is huge. The last time I had the gyros, and they do have great fries. Good, cheap, consistant... but don't expect to be blown away

When we want to go out for breakfast on the weekend but don't want to wait for a table at a traditional wait-staffed restaurant, we come to Goody's. Order your breakfast at the counter and pick it up when they call your number. Fast and easy. I typically get the 3 egg feta cheese and spinach omelet which comes with a side of potatoes. Generous portions and great prices. They have a full lunch and dinner menu, but I just come for the all day breakfast selection.

Goodys Restaurant is a very large independent fast food joint located off of Farnsworth Avenue in Aurora. There is signage indicating they carry an extremely diverse menu of food items. These include breakfast, burritos, gyros, pizza, ribs and even hot dogs. When I see a place with such a wide range of products I have to be a bit skeptical as to the quality of their food, I decided to risk it anyway and walked in to try it out. The inside of Goodys is not exactly clean. Tables are left with soda residue and crumbs on them, the floors and bathrooms are a mess. The atmosphere is uncomfortable at best on the inside. When I came to the menu board I decided to order the hot dog, from there I was given a receipt with a number and in a few minutes my order was called and I headed to the counter to pick up my food. The hot dog I received came on a hard non-poppy seed bun. The bun was so dry and hard that the back part of the bun had already cracked so just in taking the picture of the hot dog that I normally do I had trouble keeping the contents of the hot dog on the bun for a long enough period of time to get a decent picture. The sausage used did not appear to be a Vienna Beef or Red Hot Chicago Hot Dog used by most places serving hot dogs in Chicago. I can't exactly identify the vendor of this skinless dog but my first guess would be a generic grocery store brand. The pickle slice was only about half the length of the hot dog, the tomato provided wasn't a slice but was just chopped up bits of tomato particle. The mustard was applied lightly as was the relish and two small sport peppers topped off the dog. Overall this is one of the worst hot dogs I've ever seen served by a restaurant. I'd recommend avoiding Goodys if you are ever in the area.

Had breakfast at Goody's this morning. 3 eggs over medium, grilled chicken fillet, wheat toast and hash browns. Not a difficult order but it came out hot, tasty and relatively quick. Chicken was juicy. The service is very good because the people working there are kind and quick to respond. Coffee was all out (you get ur own coffee) and when i told the cashier he thanked me and the cook came out and started fresh coffee quickly. However, the place is a little grimy. If it was a bit cleaner it would have gotten 5 stars.

Love this place when it comes to breakfast! Have never really tried eating there for lunch or dinner but their breakfast is so yummy!! I usually get the French toast platter which includes 2 bacon strips, 2 sausages and eggs. All for 5 bucks! And everything on the platter is delicious!

Friendly staff. Bring my family here about 5 times a week. Huge selection of food. Breakfast and lunch served all day. I highly recommend the Greek chicken dinner. Great skillets.

Needs a thorough cleaning -- I don't even want to think what that kitchen looks like, given the state of the booths and tables and front of the house. Hot dogs were okay, but the tomatoey-onion relish they put on top was not. Fries were kind of crusty and the oil was old. Not a good choice -- maybe breakfast is better?

Approaching the restaurant, the apparent variety of foods interested me. This is a casual fast-food restaurant without the feel of a chain. My meal--a Chicago dog with "everything," a bowl of chili, fries, and a soda--cost $5. The portions were generous, and I especially enjoyed the fries. Note: According to their signage, they do cater.

In a place like Goody's, you get what you pay for... The portions are large and cheap.. But you're paying around $5 for a full meal? It's probably going to be greasy/ fast food... That being said, they have really good gyros and a large variety of options to pick from. While I do think they could use some TLC on the inside, it's a fast food place.... I don't have that high of expectations.

Ive been driving by this place for quite some time and decided to give it a try. The Gyros I ordered the 1st time were quite good, nice and hot and well made. Follow up visits were not so good though. Counter help is not very nice. Last visit (and it will be the last visit) Soup and Gyro was warm not hot. Flavor was lacking, soup needed alot of salt and pepper. Gyro portion was skimpy on this visit. Reading the other posts confirmed to me that the place does need some attention in the cleaning department. Seems like they are just taking money out of the place and putting nothing in to the building. Trays are dingy. Place is dingy. Id drive by and try elsewhere.

Was a whole lot better years ago. Meals are priced very reasonable, just not appetizing anymore. The place is dirty. It needs to be cleaned really good and someone needs to stay on top of it. Maybe then more customers will appear. In any case, not a lot of pride put into the store or the food.

My family and I love this place. It looks like the owners bought an old Wendy's and turned it into a family-run diner. The menu is extensive, so very extensive with everything from breakfast (served all day) to pizza to gyros to burritos to croissant sandwiches to bbq spare ribs. There is bound to be something to please everyone -- which is great since we have a fickle and finicky seven year old. The prices are also dirt cheap: for example, a MASSIVE spare ribs and 1/2 bbq chicken dinner special (which comes with their amazing fries, a potato roll, soup, and cole slaw) is only $8.55. My husband and I are both big eaters and it took the two of us to finish that platter. Add my daughter's pizza, fries, and drink kids special and the three of us filled our stomachs for less than $15. Even McDonalds costs more than that these days. Don't be fooled though, despite Goodys being housed in an old fast-food restaurant and being cheaper than fast food, the quality is better than fast food. The ribs and chicken we ordered were nicely smoked. The fries are THE BEST IN TOWN. And the chicken noodle soup, while a bit too soft, tasted and looked homemade. We've tried about a quarter of the menu so far and have been pleased with most of it. But perhaps the best part of this restaurant is the people who work there. It is legitely local and family-run. They've been gracious enough to serve us even as late as 10pm and don't rush us while the mother cleans, the father tallies the day's money, and the kids help refill the soda machines. There is a special place in my heart for kind, hard working people trying to make an honest dollar. Although there are other places in town that may be newer or fancier, this is one business that I feel good about supporting.

This is my go to place for breakfast burritos. They are made fresh & with real eggs. There is a little wait, but that's the price for getting made to order food.

It's dirty, and the food taste that way too. Even the drive through makes you feel dirty when you pull in. Only three good things, they are open pretty late (never saw them closed, might be 24 hours but I am not sure.) Some of the people taking your order can be pretty funny and I appreciate at least be funny when I am dirty. Lastly, they hardly ever mess up your order. Don't waste your time here, unless it's super late and you need something right away. They are like two blocks from where I live so it makes them convenient sometimes.

Delicious shakes! This is a great greasy spoon burger joint. Been stopping here for years.

The Italian beef wasn't seasoned well, and was slightly tough. It is a HUGE sandwich compared to any beef I've had. I brought home half of it. I didn't feel really well after eating, not sure if it was the greasiness or something else. My boyfriend ate the other half and was fine, but also gave a "just OK" to the beef. The fries were hot and really good. They aren't seasoned, but still had a really good taste. I got cheese fries, but the cheese has a weird taste - even if you're a cheese fry fanatic, skip the cheese. Fries are a must though. My mom had the chicken cesar pita but said she could've had it without the pita - portions are just THAT big. The food is cheap, portions are big, a good place to go if you want quick diner food. The menu is extensive - a little TOO broad and could use revisions. Worth a try.

Great selection of food. If I remember correctly, this place used to be 24/7 but it seems they've changed their hours. Overall, they've got reasonable prices and good food. It's been here for years so they're doing something right!
