When summer hits, and the heat is on - you can expect a crowd around this local gem. Dairy Queens are not as easily found as they had been in the days of yesteryear but this slightly small town has one, and it makes for a perfect treat. For years we had been making our way up here from our cabin just a few short miles away - and my standard go to had always been a blizzard. Butterfinger or Oreo is where it is at! I know they server burgers and the like, but I honestly don't think I have ventured to try them.
Only open in the summer...
Dairy Queen is one of my favorite places to go get ice cream but the problem is half of them are filthy. This Dairy Queen however was one of the cleanest ones I have seen. The location is nice because it is about a block away from the downtown of Antioch so it is in walking distance. This location is only open in the summer but is worth the wait. The service was ok & the ice cream was great as it is at most Dairy Queens. I will come back here next time I am in Antioch.

Love this place! Great Martinis and amazing service!! Wish it would open earlier on Saturdays!
Great food, great people and the best selection of craft beer I've seen around. Really nice atmosphere and great fun. Really great tapas.
Little pricey, but the atmosphere calls for it. Bartenders are on point, except for one guy who cant make a White Russian or whiskey sour to save his life. Good beer selection. That food though. That's whats up.

Great food and service, average wait time and is a huge long bar and has a little restaurant attached for the kids. We tried the brisket nachos, wings and a BBQ sundae. All were excellent and tasty!! Why this is not 5 star, beer selection sucks! No craft beers on tap has a few in bottles but we like stouts on tap. If you like cheap beer and good Q, this is your place. It's one of the best choices on Grass Lake Rd. best part is their food is smoking hot, temperature-wise...
Wonderful food in a relaxed country bar. Definitely order the Mac and cheese with pulled pork appetizer. Enough for a meal for some folks. Amazing - jalapeño, pulled pork and fresh made Mac. Stuffed bison burger was also good. The other guest has the fish tacos. Both the sweet potato and other fries were fresh and good. Modest setting. Good food. Good service.
Amazing staff very friendly, awesome food and music, great place to hang with friends we go almost every Friday for the deep dish pizza mmhmm

Someone gave the breakfast pizza a little love today, so I'm giving it back. My slices were cheesy and delicious! I can't believe I paid $5! Thanks!
I have to say this is the best pizza place I have found around this area since I moved here. They have pizza by the slice which is great for a single person like myself who may not want to eat an entire 12" over 2 days. The sauce reminds me of the sauce my Italian friend's mom used to make when she made homemade pizza. I am very picky about my sauce. I hate when places try to herb it up. Just give me plain marinara that's a little sweet and salty. Crust is is good on both thin and double dough. I'm not a fan of their meats though. The sausage was almost like Italian sausage that had been diced up. It was a weird consistency for the pizza and I would not get it again. The pepperoni was ok but not the best I've had. So far I like the plain cheese but I will try veggie next time I go and see how that compares. Prices are reasonable and staff have been friendly.
Best Pizza in Antioch by far. Best value anywhere around. Two slices with a drink for $5. I've yet to try anything other than their pizza. I have had one of their shakes and they are also amazing! Staff is super friendly! Mostly beautiful smiling young faces! Fast and friendly service. Nothing more you could ask from these guys. Try the bacon double cheeseburger pizza!!!

Fantastic! Go there tonight! Several weeks ago, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins all met here for a late Sunday lunch/early dinner. I think we totaled 15 or 18. Everyone enjoyed it thoroughly! Although we were talking, hugging, and yelling at football on the t.v., our server kept track of everything. The drinks from the bar were right on! and best yet, the food was de-lish! We ordered a good variety of apps, entrees and desserts- everyone noted how the food was the right temperature (especially tough to get out hot food with a large party like this), and complemented the taste too. Thank you! What a cozy, sweet, yummy find in our little Antioch. Don't hesitate. Go! Enjoy!
The stuffed chicken is amazing. This is quite a gem located in downtown Antioch. Very cozy atmosphere is perfect for the occasional romantic dinner with my fiance. We will continue to be customers for years to come.
Had a great time at the cooking class. David is a riot. Kept us entertained while serving us delicious food. Will definitely return!

Probably the most consistently "Good Bar Food" of any bar in the Chain-O-Lakes area. Make no mistake, Choppers is a bar, not a fancy restaurant. I've eaten just about everything on the menu from Burgers to BLT's to Breakfast and everything is always consistently good. The quality of their ingredients is higher than what you'd expect from a bar and everything is made from scratch, even the soups and pizza! Quite frankly, I've never had a meal that I was not happy with at Choppers. BEST BREAKFAST IN TOWN, PERIOD ! ! ! On Saturdays, Sundays or on major Holidays, Choppers has the best breakfast around and breakfast time is definitely kid & family friendly. The Eggs, Omelets, Biscuits & Gravy, French Toast, Country Fried Steak or Chicken are all tasty and always consistent. People seem to come from all around the area and the crowd is fun and friendly. Bloodies, Screwdrivers and Mimosas! SERVICE - The bartenders and staff are also consistent and friendly. They usually try to open up and get to know everyone who walks in, making customers feel welcome. By the second or third time you stop in, even if you're not a regular, you'll probably feel like one and they'll likely remember your favorite drink. Food order time is also consistently prompt, food orders are consistently accurate and food quality is consistent, even when they're busy. PRICES - Food is reasonable (darn near cheap). Drinks are also reasonable. I am a local, but not a native to this area. This bar attracts both locals and travelers to the Chain-O-Lakes area during the summer boating season, as well as the winter snowmobiling & ice fishing season. At times, Choppers can be full of neighborhood locals or a mix bag of people in town for the weekend. It's usually a fun, friendly and salt of the earth crowd. What I like best about Choppers is their consistency, not just in their food, but in the way they promote food & drink specials, as well as events ranging from Bands to Karaoke and even to an annual Chili Cook Off. You can darn near set your clock to Choppers consistency of promotional events, as well as daily food & drink specials...Bottom line, you always know what to expect and it's good ! ! !
While the ambiance and decor leave something to be desired, Choppers is a Sunday morning breakfast staple! The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the service is great. Cocktails are strong if you're looking for a little 'hair of the dog.'
Doesn't look like much from outside but inside is really nice. Lots of room to relax. Big bar. Regular tables. Bar tables. They have 2 nice pool tables. Video gaming as well. Great bartenders too. Very friendly.

Food is excellent!! In ordering once a week..every Friday for three years I can say food is never a fail. Tonight tipped the scales on Crazy!!! I was literally left in tears by the incredibly RUDE woman taking orders over the phone. She was screaming at me for the amount of wings I was trying to order (5)!!! Said she didn't think they even had that many...hung up on me..SERIOUSLY..2x..I was already raw from dealing with a family funeral and all we wanted was to order some food..never again will we order from here..we have spent $40.00 a week here without fail for the past 3 years.. I have never in my 47 years been reduced to tears by some eronious person!!! We will take our business elsewhere.
The best pizza I've ever eaten! Had my first pie in 1979 and I judge all pizza by The Ramigs recipe. My late brother and I would get the munchies and have to call and order A Ramiger!!
BEST Pizza in the area! And a great price to boot! Someone recommended them to us over 15 years ago (and they come down from WI for it) and we are still loyal! We have relatives come from Florida looking to order every time they are in town. Regarding the "rudeness" comment, yes we've encountered it both male and female...owners?...but we just chalk it up..laugh..and call them the Pizza Nazis. We don't let it bother us. You just can't get this kind of pizza anywhere these days.

They get 4 stars for fresh ingredients--I stopped in while in town on a business trip, and was pleasantly surprised--not the best Chinese fare I've ever had, but for a $6.60 lunch special the quality was very good. The Hot & Sour soup had a hearty beefiness to it, and the Mongolian Beef had fresh sliced button mushrooms and onions. Not the most complex flavor profile for Mongolian Beef, but the fact that they didn't use canned mushrooms, that they had good-sized portions, and that the service was very friendly deserves a good review. Definitely worth a try if you're in Antioch and are in the mood for Chinese fare.
Just moved to Antioch recently and tried a few of the local Chinese restaurants. This is by far the best Chinese food in the area. The ingredients are fresh and the sauces are not overly think like most places. The food comes very close to the restaurant, Chef Ping, in Rolling Meadows which Yahoo named the best Chinese food in Illinois.
Not bad...semi average chinese food~we had orange chicken (daughter had a lot of fat not trimmed off)~egg drop soup pretty ok...hubby had hot & sour soup which smelled & tasted off~crab rangoon more lke crab salad..too sweet & not creamy~pork fried rice had nice flavor but dry..we only ordered cause listed as delivery & even though 5-7min away they said "out of their range"...hubby had to pick up~Can't see making this our go to chinese...edible but not our favorite...will go pick up at our trusted place! =)
