Very good Italian deli with the best personal pizzas. My co workers and I go there for lunch on Mondays for the half off brick oven pizzas. Can't beat it. Other days I get subs and they're the best!

I love Serinos subs, with a whole pickle quartered. Lunchtime crowds usually backup service a little bit, but it's generally worth the wait. fresh pasta salads very good sandwiches. I believe we may have used them for catering services at work? I know people I work with go there for lunch their menus are laying all over our lunch room counters. I like it and I think you'll like it too!

Rating: 4.6 Short description: Traditional Italian Deli Similar to: Frankie, Mikes Pluses: Hot giardinera is amazing, staff is super friendly and gave great recommendations, great sandwiches Negatives: Sometimes have goofy hours, so check beforehand. Recommendations: Get a jar of hot giardinera for home!

The tiny parking lot is the only thing that I can imagine as a negative for this place. It is always amazing with friendly employees. The Serino special (prosciutto and mozzarella with dressing) is a sandwich that never disappoints. Great place that is sort of hidden in Addison, but a place that I crave and visit frequently.

you definitely have to try their brick oven pizzas. you can't beat half off pizzas on mondays. gives you something to look fwd to on mondays. LOL. Husband and I love their brick oven pizzas. One of the best suburban places we've found so far. We also get our sausage from here for pasta sauces. GREAT people and great food. what's there not to like?!?!

The breakfast sandwich on a croissant rocks!. I used to get these on the way to work whenever I had a chance. It has egg, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, onions and is greasy and perfect to wake you up early am. Good morning energy to get you thru a long day of work. The Deli sandwiches are fresh and taste great also I usually get the american with hot peppers. The employees are always nice and greet me like family even thou I just met them a few years ago. If you have heartburn they have some real old school Italian Seltzer. Kinda like Alka seltzer but without the additives. Pick up a bottle and pour it into some ice cold water after your worst heartburn kicks in and you will thank me. I still have yet to try the brickoven pizza I will try that next.

This gem is on Army Trail road, just east of 355 and Rohlwing road. A little bit hidden but definitely not undiscovered. Stop by there during lunchtime and you will see what I mean. They do a brisk business and it is because they have great sandwiches and good service. Even though I have tried many of their sandwiches, and they are all good, I keep going back for the Serino panini and the eggplant Caprese. YUM! They have daily specials, pasta's, pizza, etc. A great place and I am happy it is near my work so I can visit there often. Cheers to all

Went for an early lunch. Excellent food and very reasonable prices. Wait time for them to prepare the food was a little slow, but worth the wait. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a neighborhood Italian deli with good food at good prices.

I really love Serino's! They have great daily specials, my favorite is half off brick oven pizzas on Monday, you really can't beat it! And $4.99 Chicken Parmesan Sandwich Wednesdays. 4 Stragione is my favorite (and only one I've had) - Ham, artichoke, mushroom and black olive...all my favorite toppings on one very affordable pizza! The sauce is savory and I like the little charred pieces on the crust, you can tell this is a fresh-made brick oven pizza and not just some slab of processed junk cooked on a conveyor belt. I always get extra cheese, though, because I like it nice and gooey and they just don't put enough cheese on for MY taste. The chicken parmesan sandwhich is really good too, there's really nothing on it except for the chicken breast, cheese and sauce, and yet it is far more filling than a sub from Subway and by far more tasty! The only problem I have with Serino's is that they have all these other delicious things like cookies, salads, deli sides etc. all displayed temptingly near the checkout, so I'm always tempted to buy more than I need...I'm a real sucker for their peanut butter cup cookie. OMG it's so yummy and big! This place is, by far, worth driving a little out of the way to pay about the SAME amount you would at a fast food place. You definitely get a more satisfying meal, that's for sure! The parking lot is a bit scary, especially with the construction on Army Trail, but, again, worth it.

I have been wanting to stop here for months. Problem was, I was only passing it on Sundays, the only day of the week they are closed! I took a Friday off and decided to pop in for lunch. YUM! YUM! YUM! The place was packed. I grabbed the only open spot in the lot. I ordered the 9inch Italian and a garden salad to go. The sandwich was so delicious!!! The best I have had in years! The garden salad was HUGE! It was two servings for me. As I grabbed my food from the cashier to leave, I asked if they had packets of mayo. Instead of pointing me in the direction of where they were located, he ran over to the other side of the counter and reached over to one of the condiment bins for customers to help themselves and came back with some mayo. That was so nice of him! I'll definitely be back!

I stopped here the other day when I was in the neighborhood. Good, good, good. I had the Serino panini --- prosciutto, red pepper, cheese, etc. Well seasoned. Nice bread.

I love this place. I go here at least once a week for lunch - maybe even twice. The sandwiches are always tasty and always have generous portions of meat. The pizza deal on Monday (half off!!!) is always good. Prosciutto on pizza = yes please. I've had a bunch of the different paninis and the normal sub sandwiches. Gotta get the Serino dressing. Always busy during the lunch rush - sometimes you'll need to circle around the place to get a parking spot. They also deliver - but be prepared to wait if you want delivery.

I've been going here for 10 years and have had at least two dozen people convinced to go with and are now regulars. I worked in Elmhurst and would travel. I then worked in Woodridge and traveled there once a week with co-workers. I now work in Naperville and still go there. Everything is fresh and authentic Italian. Their sandwiches, bread, pizza, and salads are perfect. Try their daily specials to get a taste of perfection. Lemon chicken is unreal. Breaded steak is even better. One of a kind!!!

Best brick oven pizzas around! Get the margarita pizza. It's proper with basil, fresh moz, and the sort of paste like sauce on hand stretched dough of course.

Serino's deli is AWESOME. It is up there as one of the best places for a delicious sub (or wood burning oven pizza, or Panini for that matter). Sure you could go to Bari foods, Alpine and other fantastic italian deli's in Elmwood Park & Chicago, but If you want to experience something 'sub-tastic' in the suburbs, come here & check it out. . This quaint little deli is always busy, Italian family owned - and top notch Italian meats (prosciutto, capicolla, genoa salami, mortadella...) but it doesn't stop there. The pastrami is one of the best I've tasted. The beef? OMG...they sell loads of their beef and understandably so...it is super tender, thin and sooo tasty. This is not your 'dipped or wet' served beef. It is Italian beef like no other...just simply served warm on their fresh rolls. Ask the workers, it is a popular item. The Italian sub...outstanding. This place is authentic Italian. You want a little pizza with your sub? Don't hesitate, you must try it because it is amazing! Yes wood fired pizza in a deli!! If you like Elio's Pizza (also wood burning) you will love Serino's. Slight difference in crust - but light, fresh sauce topped with fresh mozzarella & basil. They have buy one, get 1 half off pizzas. Meatball Panini's are great as well. Love the meatballs, not dense or too soft, homemade with tasty gravy....super flavorful & yummy. Good selection of antipasto sides too & they even sell their homemade bottled pasta sauce! Opened a second location in Roselle. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!

If you dont know it is here you would miss it.. I highly recommend the Serino Salad, huge with meats and tons of delish cheese. The Italian dressing is very good on the salad. You can get a variety of items from cold subs to soups. They also have an actual deli where you can get good Italian and American meats. They recently added more seating so it is not as hard to get a seat at lunch. But it is always packed at lunch time M-F.. So you know its good!!

After seeing the positive reviews on yelp we decided to swing by and pick up a few sandwiches. They were pretty good, I wouldn't swing through again unless there were some sort of deal or coupon. I got the 12 inch Pesano sandwich, the bread was good but tough. The muffuletta was decent but had a big chunk of olive pit that almost broke a tooth. The caprese salad was good but it's so basic I would be shocked if someone messed it up. Will maybe come back to try the pizzas as they look very authentic Italian.

What a great place for a quick lunch. I stopped in after a scenic route trek home from River Forest and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the Sicilian Grilled Chicken wrap, which contains chicken, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato (I ordered without), roasted red peppers, jalapenos, and mayo. It had to be one of the greatest wraps I've had in a long time! So flavorful, and filling. And it was only $4.99, which was a steal. They have a large variety of sandwiches, paninis, and subs, and of course they also have pizza and pasta dishes. There's a deli where you can buy cheese, meats, and prepared salads (pasta, macaroni, etc). They also offer catering. The food portions are very generous and the prices are extremely reasonable. I can't wait to visit again.

Serino's pumps out quality product. They are always busy and for good reason. I usually go around 11 as it helps me avoid the lunch rush. I've also been there during the lunch rush and had no problems, it's just a little crowded. Every single thing I have ordered there is solid. The Italian grilled cheese, American Sub, Meatball sub, Pizza, Friday Cod Sandwich, Bruschetta Panini, are all really good. No complaints here, quality product, and a friendly staff. A lunch staple at least 2 times a week for this guy.

I now have a new pizza place. Serino's is excellent when it comes to pizza. I haven't tried anything else. My wife likes the vegetarian and I like the Margherita, we share and I've never had a bad experience. The pizzas cost about $10/ea. You can add a bunch of different toppings if you want. The pizzas have that authentic Italian taste to them. If you're looking for Chicago deep dish, go someplace else, but come here if you want flavor and quality.

Although I've not been to Serino for a while I'm going to post this review. I used to work nearby and now that I don't I miss regularly enjoying their awesome sandwiches. My favorites were the Italian sub and turkey sub. Bread was fresh and crusty, and no other sandwich shop around gets anywhere close as far as the bread goes. Topped with their Italian dressing these are wonderful sandwiches and a great value for the quality you get.

From a full Italian, this is delicious. They close at 8, so I missed them last night, but glad I tried this place tonight. Ordered on the phone, flew down there and it was ready in 8 minutes after I called. Basil is sweet, sauce is light, and charred to perfection. Well done!

The italian sandwich is the best I've had outside of Italy. Fresh, not over salted meats, a flavorful dressing that is not too oily or too overpowering. The place itself is homey and familiar, a neighborhood spot where you don't feel out of place.

We just moved to Addison in April and have frequented Serino's many times. They have delicious sandwiches and pizzas. The only downside is they have very weird hours. They are only open until 8pm during the week which is rather early in my opinion. All in all, great place to eat!!

My family and I were in need of food before our 5 hour drive back to Saint Louis and stumbled upon Serino's thanks to yelp. The food was amazing... I had a Serino's classic panini. The other sandwiches and pizzas looked just as good. We were even able to grab a few snacks for the ride home. The workers were very friendly and informative about their house-made products. I would definitely recommend this place! Also, if you happen to be here on a Monday, be sure to take advantage of their deal on pizza.

So the husband has been after me to come to Serino's for a couple of years - I have been full of excuses and I take full responsibility for the fact that he was right and I was wrong. It all started when he brought home a sandwich from Serino's along with a jar of giardinera. The bread on the sandwich was nice and crusty, in the best possible way, with just the right amount of not-too-salty meats and some nice, soft cheese. Who could be mad at that? And then you throw in the giardinera... I grew up watching my grandfather spoon giardinera on to everything and I would like to think it was this stuff from Serino's that he was using. This is the best giardinera I've ever had, to the point that I was eating it out of the jar with a spoon and using the leftover oil in a vinagrette. Awesome stuff. We repeated this and dined inside a week or so ago. Friendly, quick service, and the bread was nice and soft and fresh. I like that you can pick yourself up some sides from behind the counter or grab a bottle of pop or a fountain drink - self service with a fair amount of options and even some service. So I was wrong - wrong to resist for so long and now I dream of Serino's on a daily basis. Go there. It is well worth the effort in getting there.

Simply awesome. I'm usually in the Elmhurst/Addison area about once a week, and I was in the mood for a good quality sandwich today. I came here based on the good reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. Very fresh, great quality, and they have a big selection. My boyfriend and I both had a "create your own" sandwich and two drinks for $15, which is a great deal for how fresh everything tasted. Another plus: They're open pretty late for a deli. We'll definitely be back.

One of the best deli's I've been to. This family puts love into their food. From the Larry'o to the pizza. The deli counter is filled with great things to bring home. Top of the line service, and always friendly. Been coming here for years, and always looking for a reason to drive over there!

I was looking for a good sandwich shop other than Subway or Jersey Mikes. What a great surprise to find this place! Typical fast food prices, but the quality of the food was great. Loved the Greek pasta salad too. Can't wait to come back to try this place again. Employees were really nice too.

Husband & I were in the area after a long meeting and needed some quick eats. I saw the awesome Yelp reviews so decided to grab a few sandwiches at Serino. It's hidden behind a gas station and doesn't look special from the outside. When we walked in we were immediately greeted with smiling faces and made some quick menu selections (meatball panini & Italian panini). We asked to sub the chips for a pasta salad & although we later learned he was not supposed to, the young man agreed so we were delighted! The sandwiches were very tasty! I regret not getting some hot peppers on my Italian but it was still great. The sandwiches are a good size and I had trouble finishing mine. I wish I lived closer so I could frequent this place and try some of their other wraps/sandwiches and order some deli meat. I was shocked there were only a few people there considering how delicious our meal was (perhaps this is due to the construction immediately out front or the fact that it was 3pm)!

Scene: Early afternoon. Serino Italian Deli in Addison, IL. Friendly staff behind the counter. Large board filled with sandwich specials. Several tables where there are a handful of people enjoying their meals. Deli counter filled with antipasto, meats, cheeses. Small ice cream case filled with about 8 different flavors of Gelato. Huge section with drinks. Rich looking pasta sauces for sale. Cute girl enters (te-hee). She is hungry. It's been several hours since her morning Zumba class and after a couple of hours working she is quite tired and hungry and looking for a good, fast meal. Skip to 30 min later. She has finished her Italian sub sandwich and side of potato salad. A "Five Dollar Footlong" commercial comes on the TV and she laughs. "yeah right" she says. She turns to the camera, with a warm satisfied smile, "Serino Italian Deli, where have you been all this time?" This place was so good. Lived in the area for so long and never came to visit. I love Bari foods in Chicago and I agree with Vivian, if you like Bari, you'd like this place. I'll be back for sure.

Nice bread.

It was Friday afternoon at lunchtime and I was out on the road in the hot humid Chi-Town Summer weather. I headed for Serino's Deli at 1720 Amy Trail Road, Addison, Illinois. I know they can prepare a great Italian Submarine Sandwich. Upon my arrival they were very busy. I noticed the dinning area was full and a Father was sitting with his three children eating a pleasant lunch. It seemed like a nice treat for the kids. I ordered a 9" Italian sub with hot Giardinera on it. I say , Spice it up baby. As I paid for the sub, I noticed the pizza warmer with the gourmet pizza slices in it. It looked so good I could not pass it up. I ordered a large slice thick crust cheese pizza to go with my lunch. Their pizza is cooked in a wood-burning stove with really crisps the crust. I found , both the pizza and sub-sandwich very satisfying. I would definitely order a pizza for delivery someday from Serino's. Serino's has a full service deli that carries specialty products such as Bonelli Olive Oil, Mammima EVOO, Parlanna EVOO, Lira Oregano, Italian Style Hot Giardinera, D' Amatos Baked Bread, and Serino's signature sauces A/K/A Gravy. My total bill was under $10.00. For good service, good food and a great lunch experience Serino's is a must. I give Serino's FOUR STARS. I say try Serino's. " Just when I thought, I was out, those sub-sandwiches pulled me back in." (: MJM

First of all, lets say front and center I am an Italian deli snob. Subway does NOT make sub sandwiches - they just make sandwiches. Quiznos, Potbelly, all of them do NOT make a great Italian sub. But this place, man, they know exactly what they are doing. You know you are in a good place when they guy who takes the order has a heavy Italian accent. The Italian sub is hands down the best within 50 miles. They also have fantastic panini.... with the "Muffeleta" being the best panini I have ever had. The parking is nearly impossible most week days as the locals fill the place up. You can expect a wait for 20 minutes to get your food. You can order ahead. You will not be disappointed in this family owned, small town, REAL Italian deli. deliziosissima!!

Genuine Italian creations and a great atmosphere. Subs, paninis, foccacia, whatever you choose the toppings are high and the taste, superb! Add a deli with a mouthwatering Caprese salad and a vast beverage selection and I've found myself a lunch spot I'll be returning to as soon as possible.

Caprese sandwich is the BEST -- Not just among the Serino's sandwiches on the extensive menu, but anywhere. Get the footlong.

Serino Special is a great sandwich! I go to Serino's on my lunch break all the time with my co-workers. Great subs, and good prices. Lunch time can get a bit busy, but the service is still pretty quick. The brick oven thin crust pizzas are very good.

Best brick oven pizzas around! Get the margarita pizza. It's proper with basil, fresh moz, and the sort of paste like sauce on hand stretched dough of course.

you definitely have to try their brick oven pizzas. you can't beat half off pizzas on mondays. gives you something to look fwd to on mondays. LOL. Husband and I love their brick oven pizzas. One of the best suburban places we've found so far. We also get our sausage from here for pasta sauces. GREAT people and great food. what's there not to like?!?!

I was looking for a good sandwich shop other than Subway or Jersey Mikes. What a great surprise to find this place! Typical fast food prices, but the quality of the food was great. Loved the Greek pasta salad too. Can't wait to come back to try this place again. Employees were really nice too.

This place never has let me down. Because of an early work schedule I will call in on the way to work to place an order. Food is always great and most important the order is correct. I have retired places that screw up an order.

  • Mark M.

This place makes me so happy I moved to Addison. The first time I ventured into this little deli, the owner greeted me and asked me if I was new to the neighborhood (which I was). He was really warm in greeting me and explained the menu. I picked the Caprese sandwich, which is to die for. I've been back a few times since then, and haven't strayed from the Caprese. There are lots of other delicious-looking items, though!

I have been here many times without complaint. I normally have a sandwich: Paisano or Italian. They have plenty of choices for sides and drinks. Their Italian deli is very good for the small space- they have another location in the Roselle area. For this Addison location let it be known they have parking in front, sides, and back of the establishment so don't be scared the whole 5 or 6 spots in front are taken. Closed Sundays.

This is by far my favorite sandwich place in the West Suburbs. Lots of choices, great ingredients, and good prices. I love the Caprese sandwich. Italian bread with eggplant, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, dressing, and seasonings. Fantastic. When I was preggo I craved it almost every day! There pizzas are pretty good too! A very thin crust with your choice of toppings, even eggplant and artichokes. They also have an actually deli counter in case you want meat to go to make your own sandwiches at home. This place also opens super early. I think it might even be 5am!

Fantastic sandwich and service. Quick, attentive, and friendly as well as a generous portion. The bread was good as was the freshness/quality of the meats and cheese's you may need an extra few napkins). I did get trapped to piece of the thick pan pizza hoping it would be like Dearborn Italian Bakery or Villa bakery (Both in the Detroit area) but I should've left it at a sandwich. The pizza was not very good but hey, the service and other tangibles make it a lock that I'll be back in the future!

Fresh and authentic Italian sub joint. They also have a great deli for take home cold cuts and Italian dishes. The parking is a pain but understandable bc the place is always packed bc food is fantastic. Make sure to go with the old school bread.

I am hoping that the lunch rush brings out the worst in them because my first experience was fairly sub par. I am willing to try it out again with all of the great reviews but it would have to improve quite alot. I ordered one of the specials of the day which was a hot pastrami on rye. My first issue was that even though I enjoy a bit of fat on pretty much everything this needed to be trimmed more. When you bit into it and your teeth wont go all of the way through resulting in pulling most of the meat out in your first bite - no good in my book. Secondly it was on the small side portion wise. Other delis in the area pile it on and this is not one of the places. Looking past that the flavor was good and the bread was fresh. The second sammie that we ordered was a panini that had tomatoes, fresh mozz, pesto, and some greens i think. It would have been great if it was warm enough to melt the cheese. If your gonna have a panini it at least needs to be heated long enough to melt some of the cheese. Like I said I hope it was just a bad experience during a lunch rush hour because I wanted it to be good. The price was reasonable and the line moved quick. During lunch it was a bit of a problem to park but you can circle the building and eventually find one. Im gonna hit up a couple more delis and then head over here again. Wish me luck this time...if I can find a parking spot.

I love this place for lunch. My favorite sandwich is the Caprese Panini which comes with Eggplant, Mozzarella Cheese, and Tomato. Serinos Italian Deli has many things to offer. A hot-spot for lunch and a must try!

Yummy in my tummy. This small place is jam-packed full of Italian goodness. Fresh-made subs, panini, wraps, etc., homemade gelato, antipasto, salad, pasta, cheese, plus ready-to-grab ice cream, chips, drinks, etc... So far I can report that the prosciutto is a touch fatty but very good, the fresh mozzarella is VERY fresh, the dressing is fantastic and the bread is perfect and chewy... Yep, we'll be back to this small neighborhood gem.

Yum yum yum! The food here is simply fantastic. When I worked out in this area, I would go to Serinos at least once or twice per week. My favorites were the Cajun Turkey, the Caprese, and the Tomato & Mozz Salad. The adorable little old man taking the orders will greet you with a smile and will probably start to recognize you on your third or fourth trip to Serinos. However, parking does suck during the lunch rush and you often have to do a few circles around the building before you find somone leaving. I would recommend going during off times... like 12:15 or 12:45 as opposed to 12 or 12:30. All in all, Serinos is fabulous.

Any time I'm in the area, I always stop for a sub or a slice at Serino's. They have great Italian Subs. I've eaten several fantastic sub places in New York and this place totally reminds me of that. Quality of meat is excellent and the bread is freshly baked. Their slices of pizza are decent as well. I usually go to Francos by my house in Streamwood. Serino's has a much better variety though.

  • Ron S.

Serino's is one of those places that takes me back in time. Growing up on the NW side, I used to pedal my bike to a little storefront sub shop at the corner of Belmont & Central Pk. Jimmy's had a small menu with maybe 7 or 8 sandwiches and the only "sides" were your choice of Jay's chips. But, man did Mr. Jimmy make the best subs around. He used Gonnella French bread, the kind that Mom used to grab out of the tall barrels at the A&P or The National. You know it had that hard crust but tasted so good on the inside. I loved the end pieces and would ask Mr or Mrs Jimmy if I could have the end piece. They were always so nice to us little snot-noses as long as we behaved in their shop. Mr & Mrs Jimmy's really built a heckuva sub sandwich. It's not like the corporate sub chains where you get precisely 3 slices of meat and two slices of cheese BUT you can have all of the iceberg lettuce you want! And some of these chains brag about how they bake their own bread "so many times a day". Yeah, big deal, it still tastes like doughy fluff. How boring... OK, that's right, I'm reviewing Serino's. Sorry for the time warp. We've had subs from Serino's at least a half dozen times and we love 'em. I'll drive past 2 Subway's and a Quizno's just to go to Serino's, they're that good. Let's see, I've had the Italian, American, Serino Special and Paesano. You know, I can't say that I have a favorite. I love them all. Veggie friendly? Serino's has you covered. The Caprese (grilled eggplant, fresh mozzarella and tomatos) is fantastic! They also have a "Veggie" which is mostly cheese. My wife isn't a big meat lover and loves it when I surprise her with a Caprese for dinner. I even like them especially with a glass of Pinot Noir. They have a nice little deli area where you can buy meats, cheeses and specialty salads. I have bought the small containers of salads to go with our subs and have never been disappointed. Here's a little tip when you want to cook up a quick pasta and red gravy for a fast meal. Try Serino's Marinara or Meat Gravy that they have on the counter with a box of Barilla pasta. Their pasta sauces are cooked right there by a lady that could be "Mama Serino" and are better than anything you can buy in the store. Geez, this was an awfully long review for a sub shop. Sorry about that but I really like the place. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is they don't use that crispy, crunch Gonnella bread that I love. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty good bread but just not quite Gonnella. If they ever switched to that great bread, I think I would have to find me a Schwinn Stingray, put a baseball card in the spokes and travel back in time to 1971.

Best subs around. This is the ORIGINAL that sparked another location in Roselle. I love their pita wraps while my hubby swears this is the best Italian Sub he's ever had. Get the Serino dressing, it's like an italian dressing with a little something different. This place gets pretty busy around lunch time and sometimes parking can be a pain, but it's worth it. The staff that works here is always very friendly and enthusiastic about their business. You can tell it's a family run place and you will see a lot of the same faces if you eat here often enough. After years of driving past Serino's wondering how it was, I finally visited a few years ago and they haven't been able to keep me away since. I've turned on a number of people to this place and haven't heard one complaint yet. Nice amounts of meat on the sandwhich for the same price you would pay at Subway, skip the chain, check out Serino's.

Wow! The breaded steak sandwich here puts Ricobene's to SHAME!!! SHAME!! SHAME!!! Well seasoned and still crispy thin and tender steak nestled in a bed of melty provolone cheese and homemade "sugo". (you can also order it "American style" with mayo, lettuce and tomatoes). My coworker introduced me to this place for lunch today and I was shocked at how busy this little deli is! The place needs a revolving door. It's truly a gem in the neighborhood and everything is made fresh to order so don't come here if you are super tight on time. I love that you can buy little antipasto's for about a buck! You can also get mini tiramisu (which I skipped today but will try next time) and the deli area is packed full of awesome homemade sopressata, capicolla and salami! Just wonderful! I can't wait to go back! (if you're a fan of Bari foods in Chicago, you'll LOVE this place!)

My colleague that grew up in Chicago took me to this place saying that they serve the best Eggplant Caprese Panini. Boy was he right!. The panini was great. The eggplant was well marinated. I also had a side of artichokes that just tasted fantastic. This place serves some real nice homemade Italian food. Highly recommended..

This is a great go-to place. They serve beer & wine which are adequate. The place rocks for a group get-together! All is good... the pizza----- improvement needs to be done, especially for group gatherings. The pizza dough tends to be burnt.... ask that they watch for the dough to be perfect. A careful eye.... Everything else is really good. Love the service...especially for large groups!

One of the best Italian subs I have ever had. The service is great, and so is the pricing. They use high quality meats, cheeses, and bread. It gets really busy at lunch time, but the line moves quick. I still have yet to try the pizza but it looks amazing.

I found this place by accident, and I am glad I couldn't find where I was going. They have a 25 foot deli counter with all kinds of fresh meats. Their subs come in 6, 9 or 12 inch and the french bread is packed tight with meat. They have about a dozen subs but will cater to your whim. They have homemade pizza by the slice and pizza bread. Both are very good. They have panini's in the case if your in a hurry, but it doesn't take them long to fix up something fresh. They have all kinds of slaw and potato salads in the case and again they are made in house. They also have canoli's and tirimisu. This place is a ketch all with the quantity and quality of the goods they offer. One side is like a convenient store with soda's and a humidor. The other side has all the deli and baked goods. I also saw someone come in to get a quart of sauce. But they had no carry-out or catering menu's? Great little hide-out.

Order a Serino Sub w/Basil and it's the closest thing I have tasted to eating a sandwich from the streets of Florence, Italy. The mozzarella is a fresh as it gets and the serino dressing is perfect. Add to that delicious proscuitto and tomatoes and you are in Italian sub heaven.

Well done!

Stopped in based on all highly rated Yelp reviews. Monday special 1/2 off brick oven fire cooked pizza. Super clean, very friendly staff and delicious food. I would definitely recommend and plan to come back to try their sandwiches next time I'm in Chicago.

An oasis in a vast wasteland of houses and trees and the 53 corridor traffic trap. his tits I do like turtles feast of the senses. Get lost in the gelato case frolic through the options in the deli cold cuts and house made salads out of bars do you want breakfast sandwiches? Oh they got breakfast sandwiches! 4609 stomach size! Or maybe you want to make your own sub sandwich burrito? You have old breakfast options you could ever desire. A delightful staff? The best in he biz.

Good food so close by to work we order from them often. Sometimes the bread is too hard but overall it's a great Italian deli.

Nice bread.

  • Jess D.

Serino Special is a great sandwich! I go to Serino's on my lunch break all the time with my co-workers. Great subs, and good prices. Lunch time can get a bit busy, but the service is still pretty quick. The brick oven thin crust pizzas are very good.

One of the best Italian subs I have ever had. The service is great, and so is the pricing. They use high quality meats, cheeses, and bread. It gets really busy at lunch time, but the line moves quick. I still have yet to try the pizza but it looks amazing.
