Was in South Addison, Illinois and was a bit hungry. Billy's Gyros and Beef at 705 S. Addison Road has been there for years. When I was just a youngster I had a Birthday party there. At that time it was Yankee Doodle Dandy. I parked my car and entered the establishment. One of the owners was actually taking orders which impressed me. Her name was Georgia. Georgia and her husband Peter, came from Karmenshi, Greece. They have had Billy's Gyros and Beef from approximately four years. Billy's has a reputation as one of the top Gyros places in the western suburbs. I ordered a large Greek Salad for a very reasonable $6.65. The salad contained lettuce, onions, tomatoes, lots of feta cheese, many Greek olives and their signature Greek Dressing. However I was a little disappointed that a pita bread of anchovies were not served with the salad. The salad was very fresh and very tasty. I found the Greek salad dressing to be very good. The dinning area of Billy's is medium sized with both booths and tables. There are two separate televisions set up in the dinning area for viewing. The dinning area and the men's restroom appeared clean. From the outside of Billy's there are multi-colored lights in the windows with pictures of their different entrees. Just a great advertising move. They have an extensive menu that includes, Burgers, Dogs, Sandwiches, Italian Style sandwiches, Italian Style dinners, Steaks, signature 1/2 lbs Burgers, Seaford, Salads, Grecian Specialties, Grecian Specialty plates, Rib Dinners, Side orders, Soups, Chili, Broasted Chicken pieces, broasted Chicken dinners, Chicken with Mostaccioli packages, shakes, beverages and Billy's Party menu packages. There homemade Pastichio is said to be very good, and roasted Lamb is available by request only. The prices are all very reasonable. You can dine in, drive thru or have food delivered. Delivery is available for a purchase of $20..00 or more with a $3.00 delivery fee. Delivery is available between the hours of 11am-2:30pm. Great for those work places in the area, that the employees don't have time to run out for lunch. For fast carry out call or fax your order in. They also cater events. Look up Billy's at BillysFastFood.com . After I ate Georgia, asked how I liked everything and provided me with two pieces of her homemade Baklava, a Greek pastry. I found the service excellent, the food good, the restaurant appeared clean and plenty of parking. I give Billy's a four star rating, and say " Falikia".

Looks like your average fast food joint from the outside, but once inside I felt like part of the family. I've ordered several things on the menu. The broasted chicken is incredible. The burgers are cooked fresh. The wait is longer than usual, but that's because it's made fresh to order. I would recommend calling ahead. The gyro is very tasty and the souvlaki is to die for. The owner makes the cucumber sauce from fresh. No msg or lard here. Also, the owners wife will sometimes make baklava which tastes great!!!! Also VERY LARGE PORTION SIZES!!!! I've ordered from the catering menu and they delivered right to the party. CANT BEAT THE QUALITY FOR THE PRICE...

I am not one to write reviews for fast food establishments, but I am making an exception here. Happened to be in a rush home to catch the hockey game and had a taste for a gyros sandwich. I do not get gyros too often or visit fast food places too often but I happened to be driving by here, so I stopped in. Ordered some Gyros sandwiches and Greek salad to take home. While waiting, got to talking with the lady behind the counter, who I assume is an owner, about some of the menu items. She was very friendly, explained them to me and offered me some samples. Nice. While still waiting, I noticed an order for chicken come up and it looked very good. When I remarked about how good it looked, the lady told me that it was broasted and was the best around. I told her that I will be back to try it. She recommended to me to call in my order because it takes about 15 minutes to broast and it is all prepared to order. For some strange reason, I had this chicken on my mind for days. The following Friday, I called in an order to be picked up for the broasted chicken and also ordered some souvlaki to try. When I got there, they were just packaging it up and I told the lady, " I told you I would come back" and she said after I ate their chicken and souvlaki, I would be coming back again. She's right. This chicken was great. Big pieces of chicken that were hot, juicy, and delicious. It was really good. I mean really good. I had ordered the 12 piece dinner which came with a mountain of fries. Too many fries. Even though they were good, the three of us could not even put a dent in a third of the fries. Coleslaw was good too. Garlic bread was nothing special. I would suggest that unless you like a crazy amount of fries, just order the chicken only and get one order of fries and some slaw on the side. If you like a crazy amount of fries, ignore what I just wrote because you will reach Nirvana then. The souvlaki, which is some kind of marinated pork kabob was also very good. Overall, for a fast food place = Great chicken, very friendly service, good prices. I will head back here again for the chicken and will try some other things also. BTW, the Gyros were pretty good too. I also promise never to use or write the word "meh" in any review I do. What is up with that?? Am I the only one who hates that term? I don't think so. This will be the only time you will see it in my writings......... Cheers to All

I have eaten here a number of times in the last couple years and the food was always okay. Not spectacular, but okay for a fast food place. Today I stopped for lunch and ordered what I usually do, dark meat broasted chicken. The fries, cole slaw and garlic bread were good. The chicken was like beef jerky. Usually legs and thighs are a little juicy. I don't know how they could have cooked this so much unless it was left from yesterday and reheated. Never again. Sorry I could not give less than one star

Good stuff! Tried them for the first time and they're a bit pricier but you get what you pay for. Definitely will be back.

Great Chicken Kabob dinner. Fresh, great salad, rice, potatoes, and perfectly grilled chicken. Slovakia is great too but my fav is the chicken kabobs. A ton of food for the price. You wont be disappointed.

Many moons later (or six months -- really? It feels longer than that!) we ate in at Billy's. It's definitely not much to look at, but the older guy behind the counter (Billy?) was super-friendly and the food was mighty tasty. They claim to have the best fried (broasted) chicken in town, which is a bold claim indeed with Chicken Manor just up the street. Well, I had a chargrilled chicken sandwich, so I can't speak to the greasy goodness my husband devoured, but that chicken sandwich was darned tasty. Nice and juicy, grilled taste with some delightful Greek seasoning, soft squishy bun, lettuce, tomato and a big pickle. I skipped the mayo, but I think some tzatziki sauce would've been great too. No wonder they call it the Super Chicken Sandwich. I chased this with some fries, which were your standard crinkle cut but cooked well and crispy. While the ambiance is lackluster, the food is fantastic, so if you are looking for a quick and tasty meal and you're headed up Addison Road ... hit up Billy's.

If you're sick of Mcdonalds and all the rest of the fast food chains you must try Billy's. I always get their Chicken Kabob Plate. It's always under $10 but it's delicious and not as bad as your traditional greasy fast food. It comes with two Chicken Skewers and rice along with Greek potatoes and a side of salad with garlic bread. I always order a side of tzatziki sauce which taste great with the chicken. For the Money you cant beat it and it's great portion that I always have a hard time finishing.

Absolutely AMAZING food! This is such a gem in Addison, everyone needs to check it out ASAP. Great flavors in every bite and the tzatziki sauce is to die for! Amazing place!

Just off of Addison Road in Addison lies a place called Billy's Gyros and Beef. There is a considerable amount of seating on the inside, and the place is fairly clean. The decor is unusual for what is more or less a greasy spoon type restaurant. There's plants hanging, paintings, and a wood kitchen style aesthetic. The way I'd describe it is if my grandmother decorated the eating area. It's definitely different looking than most places with the word "Gyro's" in their name. When visiting Billy's Gyros and Beef I decided to try the hot dog. The service was slower than most places in making a hot dog, taking around 5 minutes to have a single dog ready with very few other customers. The dog I received came on a dry and not particularly soft non-poppy seed bun. The pickle spear that was included on the dog was thicker than I would have liked and within the first bite I was tasting more pickle than dog. There was far too much relish applied though mustard and onion application appeared to be even and decent. The peppers and tomatoes were haphazardly all put on one side of my hot dog in a manner that required me to spread them out myself to have any kind of even distribution. I didn't detect any celery salt on the dog. The final problem with this dog was the sausage itself, it was an odd colored skinless dog that appeared to have been over-steamed. One side of the sausage had seemingly burst letting juices and flavor run out the side. Overall, I've had worse hot dogs than the one at Billy's Gyros and Beef, but not many. This is a poor representation of what a Chicago style hot dog should be and I'd recommend avoiding it.

Well, it's official, I am in an abusive relationship with broasted chicken. I love it, it's fantastic, but it treats me badly. But then I go back to it and it's wonderful and then treats me horribly again. Over and over this cycle occurs. Well it's clear to me the time to leave has come. Which is a shame, because I found a place with some of the tastiest broasted chicken I've ever had. It had a great crispy skin that was actually juicy and flavorful on the inside, none of that disappointing blandness once the skin is gone. I love the seasoning overall. I'm not enough of a foodie to put my finger on the exact ingredients, but they set the chicken apart, for sure. It came with fries, which weren't too special. Standard crinkle cut, but at least they were crispy. The good news is, broasted chicken isn't all Billy's has. I've had their hotdogs before which were standard, but good, and my wife recently had a grilled chicken sandwich called the "Superchicken" that she absolutely loved. Since they see to put a little extra care into their chicken especially it's good to know I have other options to bring me back. So if your digestive system has more integrity than mine and you're looking for some of the best chicken around, definitely give Billy's a try. It's another place that doesn't look like much, but they've got it where it counts.

I come here about once a week now! I can't believe it! Love that they have a gyro salad, guilt-free, isn't it? Their Greek Salad is also very good. Light on the dressing without losing flavor and plenty of CHUNKS of feta cheese which is awesome. Great selection of food and love their souvlaki. They really have the best Tiziki sauce I've ever had!

Used to go here at least a couple times a month...the food was always a little pricey for what you got and the quality was average. One very cold and rainy day I stopped in there with my 1 year old daughter and placed a dinner order. The owner took the order and when I went to pay I realized I forgot my wallet. I asked him if I can just pay him the next day. He said no, I said its raining and I'm with my child and have been coming at least a couple times a month for years since he is only a mile from my house so he knew me and what I usually ordered. The owners are not very social people, which was fine, but to make me take my child back out in the cold rain, go home take her in the house in the cold rain to get my wallet, take her back to the car in the cold rain, take her back out of the car in the cold rain, back in the car in the cold rain, and back out of the car to the house in the cold rain is heartless; well I chose not to go back that day and passed his place twice a day for over 2 years and never stopped in. I noticed they put in a drive thru a while back and decided to go back there a few weeks ago. Tried the drive thru...I pulled up and gave them my order, the didnt understand what I asked for, I said it again, they still didnt understand and asked me to pull up. The window is roughly 5 feet from the speaker which doesnt appear to work which makes me wonder why they even have the speaker when they can hear better if they just opened the window while the customer gave the order. I ordered the chicken salad, chicken breast dinner, and meatloaf dinner...A sliced chicken breast loaded with iceberg lettuce, no romaine, no baby spinach or carrots, or cabbage, or sprouts...NOTHING, just half a head of sliced iceberg lettuce a single very small tomato SLICE and 2 small cucumber slices for $7.50 with not even enough dressing for the salad. The same with the meatloaf, 2 thin slices, a scoop of mashed and two HUGE slices of bread underneath the meal covered in gravy making it look like a substantial meal, but turns out it is just substantial bread. The rice in the chicken breast dinner seemed like it was days old because some of it was crunchy and the same with the Greek potatoes...2 of the 3 pieces were very dry with burnt ends and chewy. This place seemed to have gone way down hill. Everything on their menu seems to be $7.50 and the majority of what you get in each meal is the cheapest thing in the meal. I couple weeks ago my daughter wanted a hot dog as we were passing Billy's and because I did not want to drive all the way to Portillo's I figured maybe it was an off day, so I stopped there and also got a broasted chicken dinner...again, skinny little dry hot dog and huge pickle and old dry bread and the chicken was incredibly salty. No reason to ever go back again. There must be people who like this place because they have been in business for a while, must be out of convenience!!!

I was suprised when i finally went to Billy's at the quality of food. It kind of looks like a crummy sort of fast food place, but the selection is great and they have really high quality food. Not only do they have classic American favorites that are prepared with high quality meats, etc. They have a large selection of Greek dinners that taste great. The owner is a friendly guy. If you're going down North or Lake street turn on Addison road and check them out. They also have great shakes and ice cream. My daughter loves taking walks and convincing me to get them.

I eat here all the time. Haven't had a bad meal yet. They are much like Squabs in Leyden Township. Service is great. We've had their meatloaf, souvlaki, chicken kabobs, greek salad with chicken, rib tips, gyros...never disappointed...would highly recommend!
