Our extended family all went here for the buffet during the week. We had the private room and we all got the buffet. About 30 of us. The pizza was very good. The rest of the food was average. The desserts were all less than desirable. We were over charged for the tip. They added 20% gratuity on top of the tax for terrible service .....for a buffet. It was impossible to get a drink refill. The server was not around 90% of the time. I think this place is known for having bad service and charging 20% tip automatically for small groups too. When my sister called to ask about being over charged, the owner was extremely rude and told her that she and our family were to never come back! This was out of line and totally unwarranted. What kind of restaurant treats their customers like this? This place has issues.

This place had a 5-star rating in my book until recently. Their thin crust is still to die for, and they have a great gnocchi with chicken dish. However, I recently took an out-of-town guest here for some deep dish. The crust was so tough, it was difficult to eat. The crust towered high over the sad, flat interior. The toppings were also sparse. My guest actually said, "Giordano's is better." Yikes. Also, the service has taken a dive recently. The staff rarely comes to check on you, which makes it difficult to do things like pay the bill. Oh, Aurelio's, won't you please come back to being one of my favorite places?

They also have a really good gluten-free crust from what my wife tells me. This is a huge reason we order from here as much as we do.

We love Aurelio's. The thin crust pizza is luscious. The crust is thin, but kind of yeasty and fluffy, too. Excellent crust. I love their marinara - really tomatoey and not oily. Sausage is good. Real, fresh mushrooms and fresh spinach, too. Check out the buffet on weeknights - such a deal and quite tasty. Last time we had an awesome spinach salad - just delicious. They have a lovely outdoor area for the warm seasons - it has a central fireplace, trees, and lots of tables. They make a mean mojito, too.

2 stars for the food, 4 for the service, but i can't give it 3 stars because it wasn't A-Ok. It is hard for me to give 2 stars. Look at my history, but read on. 1) ordered fried ravioli. Some pieces were hot, some were warm, some were cold. But all of them tasted like it was a frozen food dropped into the fryer. I ate it because i was hungry, but honestly, any cold cheese dish made to be eaten hot is just yucky. 2) got their deep dish pizza. it was came out looking so yummy. Took a bite and it was cool. OMG, W-T-FREAK? Is the oven broken? Worried I sent it back hoping no additional ingredients would be added. Came back, the flavor was good, but now the crust is soggy. erghhh? isn't Chicago the pride of deep dish? Word to the business: don't hurry your food. make it worth while. Maybe i should have ordered a pasta dish, but 2 out of 2 dishes coming out disappointing, I can't say much positive but... STAFF was really friendly. Did what they could, but not enough to make up for the lack of food. Thank goodness it was paid for by my company, or it would have been a waste of my money. I just sacrificed a few hundred calories. Took one for the Yelp team.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I have come for their dinner buffet (Tues-Thurs.) at least 6 times. It is nothing less than fabulous. Since we come straight from work we usually get here a few minutes before the start of the buffet at 5pm. Even at that time, the salad bar is usually all set up and they have one hot appetizer out. I usually sneak a dessert in, too. They vary the entree offerings so if you come often, you won't be bored with the food. In addition to the pasta and some sort of chicken entree, there are at least 5 or 6 different types of pizza, and a soup and a salad bar. The chopped salad on the salad bar is delicious.All the food is good. I love the dessert table because it reminds me of the dessert tables we had at family gatherings when I was growing up. Little cookies, brownies, cakes, cream puffs. I would describe the food as real, home cooked Italian food. Good job, Aurelios.

I have to give Aurelio's in Addison 5 Stars. We just went there after the show and had another excellent meal!! I asked if they had "marshmellow vodka" . No, but they had marshmellow syrup. Had a marshmellow martini. Well, you haven't lived. Ha! Comes with 4 teenie-tiny marshmellow as a garnish. Cute! We had a stuffed artichoke appetizer for the first time. It had a delicious lemon seasoning and, I think, they use Panko breadcrumbs because the stuffing was crispy-good. Had their largest thin crust spinach/sausage pizza because we like to have plenty of leftovers. It'snot just spinach on a pie. It's a special marinated recipe that's to die for. The service was excellent. We went early -- like 5:30 or so. Our server was very attentive...the bussers cleared our plates in the heartbeat...asked if we'd like refills promptly. I was really pleasantly surprised with the service because it was top notch. We ate inside, but they have a beautiful terrace out back. Their pizza is delicious!

As a buffet, and I don't mean this is a demeaning way, this is the best food I've had,( accept for maybe Home Run Pizza Buffet ;) But 90% of everything offered on their Buffet is excellent from the Lemon chicken to the Fettuccine Alfredo to the Deep Dish pizza and the steamed vegetables. The service is pretty good (I mean their speedy with drink refills) and for the most part their very friendly! I should order off their menu at some point but for my hour lunch limitation, their buffet is very convenient and their prices are commensurate to the food quality. I just wish a location was closer to work! Definitely wish I didn't have to consider calories when eating here because everything is very rich and scrumptious lol

My family and I LOVE this place. Spinach thin crust with extra sauce is my personal favorite. I could eat it every day and not tire of it. We go pretty often to the Wednesday or Thursday night buffets. We have gone there so much, that the minute we walk in the door, the host/hostess always says "three for buffet?" :) They remember us, which is nice, because you feel like a part of the big Italian family when dining there. We tend to get Vito, or the guy who looks like his twin, as our waiter. My only problem is that while my husband and son love the buffet, I feel that most of the time the pizza seems like it has been sitting out on the warmers for a long time, and doesn't taste as fantastic as ordering a fresh pizza. I think we're due for a buffet night...it's been WAY too long (about a month!)

A pretty decent establishment. I've ordered here multiple times for their pizza and appetizers. The place itself is actually bigger than it looks. The indoor dining is nice, tall ceilings, typical Italian restaurant feel. They have a large outdoor patio with many tables for the spring and summer time. Their pizza is consistently good, along with the appetizers, specifically their bruschetta. We order pretty simply from here, sausage and cheese pizzas, but they're always good. The crust is crisp and crunchy, the meats are thick and flavorful. Not great, but pretty good if you're around the Addison area, or need a bite to eat while waiting for your movie to start next door at Marcus Theatre.

My name is Beth, and I endorse this lunch buffet. My co-workers and I love to come here for lunch during the week. They have everything from pizza to pasta (their alfredo really is pretty good, as is their eggplant rollatini), soup to salad, and a whole onslaught of sweet stuff too. The only drawback that I have seen is that, for a mid-week lunch, it's a bit pricey. With soda and tip, it's about 12 bucks. Guaranteed carb overload. I need a nap.

I used to work in the area and we would hit this lunch buffet when time and waistline would allow. the typical spread: -salad bar (small, but adequate) -4 types of pasta -4-5 entrees (usually meat/fish, sometimes veggies, sometimes both) 4-5 different pizzas (including stuffed and some kind of spinach calzone thingy that is absolutely wonderful) MANY DESERTS!! free drink with meal. we usually paid $10-11 bucks each including tax and tip. one time, I called in sick to work (I wasn't sick) and drove to this buffet anyway cause it's that damn good.

Great Aurelio's pizza with a bit of ambiance! The pizza never disappoints at this location - always too hot to eat when it arrives at the table but you can't help digging in because it is just so tasty! My family and I have never had the buffet at lunch time (wish they would offer on the weekend or dinner time during the week!). Most visits we have very good service. My only pet peeve, and this is with every Aurelio's location I have been, is that there are not unlimited refills on drinks. I think the company is stuck back in the 20th century before refills became standard. My last visit I did notice a few little things that worried me the owners are not keeping up on maintenance - like a cracked flat screen tv - time to replace that since it has been in that condition since the time before when I ate there! Overall though, I make a 40 minute drive out to Addison to have hot fresh sit-down Aurelio's pizza at this location. My mouth is watering already! (get the thin crust with extra sauce - yum yum yum!)

Food was great. However, customer service was not up to par. As my guest and I were waiting to be served, we overheard an employee (which turned out to be the owner) make a comment regarding "the two non tippers". As he nodded over our direction. We knew he was referring to us. We went on with our lunch and brought it up to the staffs attention after we paid. A simple report of a complaint turned into a debate/argument with the owner and his wife Sharon. Apparently tips are mandatory at this restaurant, otherwise prepare to have employees making side comments and not giving you preference while you are there. At least, that's what the owners made clear to us. Is that there workers deserve and earn their tips every single day. I was obviously unaware of the mandatory tip rule. But this would explain the extremely rude behavior of their staff. It's clear that in the server and serving world, tips are earned. If employees aren't offering at the least satisfactory service, a tip should not be warranted. And in my experience there several times, I may have received above and beyond service one of those times. In which a tip was warranted to the server. I will not be dining their again ever again. Food was excellent. The service was absolutely wretched.

Great authentic Chicago pizza! We ordered the Combination which had sausage, mushrooms and peppers. The establishment was clean and the server was nice. My daughter wanted the buffet but since Aurillio's considers her an adult (just turned 10 years old), it would have been $10 for her. Seriously, I think that is too young to pay full price. Most restaurants consider you a child through 12. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Everyone knows that Chicagoland is deep dish pizza land. In the last ten years or so, the demand for authentic Italian pizza from a wood burning oven has brought a lot of competition, and then there is Aurelio's Pizza, which is somewhere in between. Instead of catering to one or the other, Aurelio's makes a pizza that looks more like other pizzas in the Midwest. The difference, though, is that the pizza here tastes much much better. You can taste it in the ingredients. Aurelio's is definitely a place for families and groups. One Sunday we went out with a group of 12, and four pizzas later, everyone was full and happy with the quality of the meal. We reported a bill of $110 (including tip). The location is clean, and the service is friendly. They do have a bar with the basics on tap, and a few liquors if you want something stronger. You can also order a red or white wine. For the price I would just stick to water or pitchers of soda. The desserts are ok, and they are huge! So if you enjoy desserts, try some here. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for opening in South Loop where I now reside. In the 90's I lived a mile from the Harwood Ave restaurant which still the best. For the first week with the new ovens, the pizza was very good. The sauce was not quite as rich and zesty as the original (a bit salty) and the crust wasn't quite as buttery. That said the pizza was great. If the bar was not set so high, my comments wouldn't be nearly so specific or tough. However I'm a thin crust fan from Flossmoor and to be the best you gotta keep pushing. I'll be back in 3-4 weeks to check things out. Thx Joe

My first experience with the Aurelio's lunch buffet was at the Kankakee location. I get confused down there, so I'm not sure if it was K3/Bourbonais or Manteno. They all kind of blend into an I-57 haze for me. Anyway, I got excited when I found out that the Aurelio's in Addison, just a few minutes away from my job also has the affordable lunch buffet option. But they don't do it as well as the K3 store. They only offered 6 pizzas for selection, and two of them were duplicates. So essentially they had 4 options. And their hot entree options were limited as well. Fortunately, the pizza is still delicious and the service was stellar so I'm only going to knock a single star off this review. I feel that if you run a business under a corporate brand umbrella, your offerings from restaurant to restaurant should be equal in terms of quality and offerings. My server brought me a cute little mini-pitcher of soda so I wouldn't run out of my beverage during my meal. That was a nice touch that I haven't seen many other places. I may return out of location convenience, but if I had my druthers I would only patronize the Kankakee location.

My parents and I came here for a family dinner. The value is stellar - the giant pizza fed four of us with leftovers. I went for the everything pizza, which had a generous amount of both toppings and cheese. The only deterrent here is the services - it's mega slow. We had to flag down our waiter to place our order. This review is for the lunch buffet (every weekday!) which I've been to a couple of times. For the price this is a great deal! Each time I've been there they've had several cold salads, a few hot pasta dishes (fettuccine alfredo & spaghetti w/marinara), a baked/stuffed/rolled chicken dish (had cheese, tomato & spinach inside), grilled sausages w/peppers & onions, 5 kinds of pizza (both thin crust & pan), two kinds of soups and a whole sections of desserts (assortment of cakes, cookies & pastries). All you can eat with a soft drink & tax for under $10! Their location doesn't look like much from the outside but it's nice inside and even has outdoor patio seating. It also doesn't face Lake St. so it's easy to miss.

WOW! Awful! Rude customer service. I'm in shock. I was placed in a room last night next to a big group of people. The owner was apparently called to their table and although I don't have the specifics of what even transpired with that group, what I witnessed from the owner was completely unacceptable. The way she spoke to her customers would not be allowed in any place of business whatsoever. What I did get from the conversation was that she mistakenly seated this group of people in error, thinking it was a party that had a reservation. Doesn't sound like that was the customers fault to me but she certainly made them feel like it was THEIR fault with the way she was speaking to them. The large group said they were going to just leave as it was apparent she didn't want their business and as they all got up to leave, the owner shouted "you know what? Get out of here. I don't need you!" Oh my goodness, I was so embarrassed by this woman's behavior. I, too, would have left if I were this group. No one should be treated that way. The way the customers were spoken too would be reason enough for me to get up and leave as well. I would not return to this place of business.

I have been going here for years and their homemade gluten free pizza is the best in the area. The GF crust has more flavor than the regular pizza crust, to the point where my family (non-celiac) will order the gluten free crust instead of the regular crust. My favorite pizza is the giardinera and ricotta (but get ready for some pain). They offer a gluten free menu which includes bread, gnocchi, appetizers, desserts and beer. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Pizza is your best bet here!

On my search for the perfect pizza, Aurelio's fell a little short. It wasn't BAD, it just didn't blow my mind. The pepperoni and sausage were both really good. The cheese was really fresh too. I just think that the execution of all the ingredients together is what didn't do it for me. The crust was decent...it could have used a little more flavor or crisp to make it awesome, the sauce was really sweet, and the cheese was kind of plain, so when you throw it all together, it was just okay. We also got the pizza bread and the bruschetta, and neither were that great. The "bruschetta" had good bread and oil, but the tomato, celery (what the hell is celery doing on bruschetta?!?), and melted mozz topping was just no good. Meh.

1st off, the Yelp map (as of 4/18/11) shows the wrong location. Aurelio's is in the building just east of the movie theatre. Not much else to add to the other reviews...went in hungry for the lunch buffet and left in a little bit of pain. The food is so good! Their pizza is amazing...I don't know if they put a little heroin in there or something but good lord is it tasty! Whether you go in to eat or if you order delivery, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you are, drop me a note and I'll buy your left overs from ya. ;)

In our continuing efforts to try every pizza place within a 5-mile radius of home, we went with some take-out from Aurelio's. My husband arrived home with a large cheese thin-crust that was a little cool in one corner and had that "cheese has just started to get cold" look about it. (This cannot be blamed on Aurelio's, but rather, Lake St traffic.) And yet it was one of the more delicious thin crusts I have had in recent memory. The crust was crispy around the edges and had a great flavor; the sauce, while just a hair on the sweet side, had plenty of savory to it; and the cheese was delicious, plentiful, and actually broke when you bit into it. (It is a minor pet peeve of mine when you take a bite of pizza and all of the cheese comes with it.) The rest of their menu is large and varied, and I'd like to dine in or at least try an appetizer or two, but honestly, it will be hard to resist the pizza, which is currently up there with Home Run Inn as my favorite thin crust in the area. ===================== 11/1/10: We've now eaten in and tried a few different things. The atmosphere is sort of odd, a mash-up of Chicago history, random old ads, and red-and-white checked stuff. We started with their focaccia appetizer, which was different and delightful -- crispy bread stuffed with cheese and basil and served with a sweet, thick sauce for dipping. We moved on to a stuffed cheese pizza, which probably wouldn't be my first choice again, if only because there wasn't much sauce on it and the top crust got lost and turned into kind of a mess. It was good overall, and I definitely appreciated the "handle" part of the crust, which had a nice light crispiness to it and wasn't overly bready or thick. But I wonder if their version of deep dish has more/chunkier sauce. I'd certainly be willing to eat it again, and try more of their menu, but as far as I'm concerned their thin crust is where it's at.

My "usual" pizza joint closed and in my great search for a pizza joint in my area, I found an Aurelio's. I was super exciting to order from an Aurelio's (a Southside favorite) from a joint on the North-ish-side!! I ordered my usual an 18" thin sausage-pepperoni and an order of tomato bread. MAANNN I was disappointed! I thought about putting them on my "list of bad places", but alas I decided to order my usual from the joint, again. Success!! The first time, the pizza was soggy and very unappetizing however, the second was crispy, done to perfection and AWESOME!! The tomato bread (my fave), on the first order, had chopped tomatoes and tasted just plain yucky. Did they forget the garlic??? The second order of tomato bread was great!! sliced tomatoes and great cheesy garlicy taste...YUM. I would've given it 5 stars, but there was no marinera sauce with the tomato bread...booooo. I think I found my delivery-pizza joint!

By far the best pizza in the area. I live in Elmwood Park and am surrounded by some of the best pizza places so that's why I say that. I love their stuffed pizza and their thin crust is good, too. It is located right around the corner and faces the Marcus movie theaters. There is plenty of parking near their entrance and they have a terrace for outdoor seating. The front entrance is a little small but there is never a wait. I've been there a few times for lunch buffet and dinner. The lunch buffet is a great deal since you don't have to wait and you can get in and out of there pretty quickly. They have a full salad bar with some cold pasta items and then mostly hot pasta specialties. Each of the pastas are different with varying sauces so vegetarians or meaty or cheese preferences are satisfied. There's also a chicken dish and sometimes Italian sausage. The pizzas are in the back and they have their good thin crust with a deep dish specialty added in. There are a couple of soups and a whole table full of desserts. The standard American desserts along with their Italian homemade ones are there for any type of sweet tooth. The prices are good value. They have a pretty vast menu so there's always good reason to go back!

This is my go to restaurant for gluten-free pizza. I love getting their Hawaiian pizza and their Baked Potato pizza. My fiance and I also like their antipasto salad. They also can make fresh meatballs for their pasta per request. Just be willing to wait a little longer for fresh meatballs. if I were to rate only their carryout service, they would get a five. Unfortunately, their table service is a little lacking. When my fiance and I ate in the restaurant, we felt rushed to finish. We weren't even offered coffee and dessert at the end of our meal. The waitress just gave us our check and high tailed it out of there. We were eating dinner at around 8ish, and they didn't close until 10. Why the hurry? The food itself is great. The service needs to be worked on.

If it weren't for my waiter this place could easily be a four, if not a five. The food is fabulous and the lunch buffet a great value. The ambiance reminds me of a cozier East Side Mario's. If it weren't for the waiter (GRR?) it would have been a near perfect experience. One of the best Aurelio's in the chain. Consistently great pizza. I've been eating at Aurelios since the 1970's and do not see that changing. Thin crust is the best of the bunch. I'm not a big fan of the stuffed pizza. Garlic bread is very good (ask for dipping sauce). The real star here though is the Antipasto Salad, its still as good as the first time I tried it in Homewood many years ago. Highly recommend! Note: reservations only accepted for large groups.

That's been our favorite thin crust pizza since Joe Aurelio had his first pizza place in Homewood. Atmosphere is friendly and clean. You can call ahead and order pizza for your arrival time. I was introduced to Aurelio's by some coworkers and instantly liked it. I have issues with the crust though, it could be a little crispier. That aside, the sauce is light flavored, not too heavy and not too oily. The cheese is great, you can tell it's real mozza which is important. They also have a really good pizza buffet for lunch. Most times I am not a fan of any kind of buffet, but this one I absolutely like. Great choice of pizza, soup/salad, pasta dishes and great dessert selection. Aurelio's never leaves me feeling gross after eating it, like some heavy pizzas do. Give it a try.

My husband and I love it here. We always get the antipasto salad for two, it comes with incredible rolls (i'm a breadaholic lol) and really delicious salad, and then we get the sausage pizza with mild peppers. We've also had their italian food, i get spaghetti and meatballs with extra marinara, yum! Best of all, they have a dinner buffet, I think it is Mon-Thurs, call and check. This is the best idea ever, because a) you can sample all their food; b) they are right next to the Marcus Cinema and people can easily go right to the buffet and leave in time for the movie, don't have to worry about crowds or timing of food!. Our extended family all went here for the buffet during the week. We had the private room and we all got the buffet. About 30 of us. The pizza was very good. The rest of the food was average. The desserts were all less than desirable. We were over charged for the tip. They added 20% gratuity on top of the tax for terrible service .....for a buffet. It was impossible to get a drink refill. The server was not around 90% of the time. I think this place is known for having bad service and charging 20% tip automatically for small groups too. When my sister called to ask about being over charged, the owner was extremely rude and told her that she and our family were to never come back! This was out of line and totally unwarranted. What kind of restaurant treats their customers like this? This place has issues.

This place had a 5-star rating in my book until recently. Their thin crust is still to die for, and they have a great gnocchi with chicken dish. However, I recently took an out-of-town guest here for some deep dish. The crust was so tough, it was difficult to eat. The crust towered high over the sad, flat interior. The toppings were also sparse. My guest actually said, "Giordano's is better." Yikes. Also, the service has taken a dive recently. The staff rarely comes to check on you, which makes it difficult to do things like pay the bill. Oh, Aurelio's, won't you please come back to being one of my favorite places?

I have to give Aurelio's in Addison 5 Stars. We just went there after the show and had another excellent meal!! I asked if they had "marshmellow vodka" . No, but they had marshmellow syrup. Had a marshmellow martini. Well, you haven't lived. Ha! Comes with 4 teenie-tiny marshmellow as a garnish. Cute! We had a stuffed artichoke appetizer for the first time. It had a delicious lemon seasoning and, I think, they use Panko breadcrumbs because the stuffing was crispy-good. Had their largest thin crust spinach/sausage pizza because we like to have plenty of leftovers. It'snot just spinach on a pie. It's a special marinated recipe that's to die for. The service was excellent. We went early -- like 5:30 or so. Our server was very attentive...the bussers cleared our plates in the heartbeat...asked if we'd like refills promptly. I was really pleasantly surprised with the service because it was top notch. We ate inside, but they have a beautiful terrace out back. Their pizza is delicious!

As a buffet, and I don't mean this is a demeaning way, this is the best food I've had,( accept for maybe Home Run Pizza Buffet ;) But 90% of everything offered on their Buffet is excellent from the Lemon chicken to the Fettuccine Alfredo to the Deep Dish pizza and the steamed vegetables. The service is pretty good (I mean their speedy with drink refills) and for the most part their very friendly! I should order off their menu at some point but for my hour lunch limitation, their buffet is very convenient and their prices are commensurate to the food quality. I just wish a location was closer to work! Definitely wish I didn't have to consider calories when eating here because everything is very rich and scrumptious lol

My family and I LOVE this place. Spinach thin crust with extra sauce is my personal favorite. I could eat it every day and not tire of it. We go pretty often to the Wednesday or Thursday night buffets. We have gone there so much, that the minute we walk in the door, the host/hostess always says "three for buffet?" :) They remember us, which is nice, because you feel like a part of the big Italian family when dining there. We tend to get Vito, or the guy who looks like his twin, as our waiter. My only problem is that while my husband and son love the buffet, I feel that most of the time the pizza seems like it has been sitting out on the warmers for a long time, and doesn't taste as fantastic as ordering a fresh pizza. I think we're due for a buffet night...it's been WAY too long (about a month!)

Real, fresh mushrooms and fresh spinach, too. Check out the buffet on weeknights - such a deal and quite tasty. Last time we had an awesome spinach salad - just delicious. They have a lovely outdoor area for the warm seasons - it has a central fireplace, trees, and lots of tables. They make a mean mojito, too.

Food was great. However, customer service was not up to par. As my guest and I were waiting to be served, we overheard an employee (which turned out to be the owner) make a comment regarding "the two non tippers". As he nodded over our direction. We knew he was referring to us. We went on with our lunch and brought it up to the staffs attention after we paid. A simple report of a complaint turned into a debate/argument with the owner and his wife Sharon. Apparently tips are mandatory at this restaurant, otherwise prepare to have employees making side comments and not giving you preference while you are there. At least, that's what the owners made clear to us. Is that there workers deserve and earn their tips every single day. I was obviously unaware of the mandatory tip rule. But this would explain the extremely rude behavior of their staff. It's clear that in the server and serving world, tips are earned. If employees aren't offering at the least satisfactory service, a tip should not be warranted. And in my experience there several times, I may have received above and beyond service one of those times. In which a tip was warranted to the server. I will not be dining their again ever again. Food was excellent. The service was absolutely wretched.

Great authentic Chicago pizza! We ordered the Combination which had sausage, mushrooms and peppers. The establishment was clean and the server was nice. My daughter wanted the buffet but since Aurillio's considers her an adult (just turned 10 years old), it would have been $10 for her. Seriously, I think that is too young to pay full price. Most restaurants consider you a child through 12. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Everyone knows that Chicagoland is deep dish pizza land. In the last ten years or so, the demand for authentic Italian pizza from a wood burning oven has brought a lot of competition, and then there is Aurelio's Pizza, which is somewhere in between. Instead of catering to one or the other, Aurelio's makes a pizza that looks more like other pizzas in the Midwest. The difference, though, is that the pizza here tastes much much better. You can taste it in the ingredients. Aurelio's is definitely a place for families and groups. One Sunday we went out with a group of 12, and four pizzas later, everyone was full and happy with the quality of the meal. We reported a bill of $110 (including tip). The location is clean, and the service is friendly. They do have a bar with the basics on tap, and a few liquors if you want something stronger. You can also order a red or white wine. For the price I would just stick to water or pitchers of soda. The desserts are ok, and they are huge! So if you enjoy desserts, try some here. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for opening in South Loop where I now reside. In the 90's I lived a mile from the Harwood Ave restaurant which still the best. For the first week with the new ovens, the pizza was very good. The sauce was not quite as rich and zesty as the original (a bit salty) and the crust wasn't quite as buttery. That said the pizza was great. If the bar was not set so high, my comments wouldn't be nearly so specific or tough. However I'm a thin crust fan from Flossmoor and to be the best you gotta keep pushing. I'll be back in 3-4 weeks to check things out. Thx Joe

My first experience with the Aurelio's lunch buffet was at the Kankakee location. I get confused down there, so I'm not sure if it was K3/Bourbonais or Manteno. They all kind of blend into an I-57 haze for me. Anyway, I got excited when I found out that the Aurelio's in Addison, just a few minutes away from my job also has the affordable lunch buffet option. But they don't do it as well as the K3 store. They only offered 6 pizzas for selection, and two of them were duplicates. So essentially they had 4 options. And their hot entree options were limited as well. Fortunately, the pizza is still delicious and the service was stellar so I'm only going to knock a single star off this review. I feel that if you run a business under a corporate brand umbrella, your offerings from restaurant to restaurant should be equal in terms of quality and offerings. My server brought me a cute little mini-pitcher of soda so I wouldn't run out of my beverage during my meal. That was a nice touch that I haven't seen many other places. I may return out of location convenience, but if I had my druthers I would only patronize the Kankakee location.

My parents and I came here for a family dinner. The value is stellar - the giant pizza fed four of us with leftovers. I went for the everything pizza, which had a generous amount of both toppings and cheese. The only deterrent here is the services - it's mega slow. We had to flag down our waiter to place our order. It was a weeknight and not slammed, so I'm not sure what happened there.

This review is for the lunch buffet (every weekday!) which I've been to a couple of times. For the price this is a great deal! Each time I've been there they've had several cold salads, a few hot pasta dishes (fettuccine alfredo & spaghetti w/marinara), a baked/stuffed/rolled chicken dish (had cheese, tomato & spinach inside), grilled sausages w/peppers & onions, 5 kinds of pizza (both thin crust & pan), two kinds of soups and a whole sections of desserts (assortment of cakes, cookies & pastries). All you can eat with a soft drink & tax for under $10! Their location doesn't look like much from the outside but it's nice inside and even has outdoor patio seating. It also doesn't face Lake St. so it's easy to miss.

WOW! Awful! Rude customer service. I'm in shock. I was placed in a room last night next to a big group of people. The owner was apparently called to their table and although I don't have the specifics of what even transpired with that group, what I witnessed from the owner was completely unacceptable. The way she spoke to her customers would not be allowed in any place of business whatsoever. What I did get from the conversation was that she mistakenly seated this group of people in error, thinking it was a party that had a reservation. Doesn't sound like that was the customers fault to me but she certainly made them feel like it was THEIR fault with the way she was speaking to them. The large group said they were going to just leave as it was apparent she didn't want their business and as they all got up to leave, the owner shouted "you know what? Get out of here. I don't need you!" Oh my goodness, I was so embarrassed by this woman's behavior. I, too, would have left if I were this group. No one should be treated that way. The way the customers were spoken too would be reason enough for me to get up and leave as well. I would not return to this place of business.

I have been going here for years and their homemade gluten free pizza is the best in the area. The GF crust has more flavor than the regular pizza crust, to the point where my family (non-celiac) will order the gluten free crust instead of the regular crust. My favorite pizza is the giardinera and ricotta (but get ready for some pain). They offer a gluten free menu which includes bread, gnocchi, appetizers, desserts and beer. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Pizza is your best bet here!

I go here all the time with my family. The menu has alot of choices but you come here for the pizza enough said. I don't what it is but the sauce is very sweet and its a perfect combination with the great crust. For toppings you have to get the carmelized onions they are so so good.

On my search for the perfect pizza, Aurelio's fell a little short. It wasn't BAD, it just didn't blow my mind. The pepperoni and sausage were both really good. The cheese was really fresh too. I just think that the execution of all the ingredients together is what didn't do it for me. The crust was decent...it could have used a little more flavor or crisp to make it awesome, the sauce was really sweet, and the cheese was kind of plain, so when you throw it all together, it was just okay. We also got the pizza bread and the bruschetta, and neither were that great. The "bruschetta" had good bread and oil, but the tomato, celery (what the hell is celery doing on bruschetta?!?), and melted mozz topping was just no good. Meh.

1st off, the Yelp map (as of 4/18/11) shows the wrong location. Aurelio's is in the building just east of the movie theatre. Not much else to add to the other reviews...went in hungry for the lunch buffet and left in a little bit of pain. The food is so good! Their pizza is amazing...I don't know if they put a little heroin in there or something but good lord is it tasty! Whether you go in to eat or if you order delivery, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you are, drop me a note and I'll buy your left overs from ya. ;)

In our continuing efforts to try every pizza place within a 5-mile radius of home, we went with some take-out from Aurelio's. My husband arrived home with a large cheese thin-crust that was a little cool in one corner and had that "cheese has just started to get cold" look about it. (This cannot be blamed on Aurelio's, but rather, Lake St traffic.) And yet it was one of the more delicious thin crusts I have had in recent memory. The crust was crispy around the edges and had a great flavor; the sauce, while just a hair on the sweet side, had plenty of savory to it; and the cheese was delicious, plentiful, and actually broke when you bit into it. (It is a minor pet peeve of mine when you take a bite of pizza and all of the cheese comes with it.) The rest of their menu is large and varied, and I'd like to dine in or at least try an appetizer or two, but honestly, it will be hard to resist the pizza, which is currently up there with Home Run Inn as my favorite thin crust in the area. ===================== 11/1/10: We've now eaten in and tried a few different things. The atmosphere is sort of odd, a mash-up of Chicago history, random old ads, and red-and-white checked stuff. We started with their focaccia appetizer, which was different and delightful -- crispy bread stuffed with cheese and basil and served with a sweet, thick sauce for dipping. We moved on to a stuffed cheese pizza, which probably wouldn't be my first choice again, if only because there wasn't much sauce on it and the top crust got lost and turned into kind of a mess. It was good overall, and I definitely appreciated the "handle" part of the crust, which had a nice light crispiness to it and wasn't overly bready or thick. But I wonder if their version of deep dish has more/chunkier sauce. I'd certainly be willing to eat it again, and try more of their menu, but as far as I'm concerned their thin crust is where it's at.

My "usual" pizza joint closed and in my great search for a pizza joint in my area, I found an Aurelio's. I was super exciting to order from an Aurelio's (a Southside favorite) from a joint on the North-ish-side!! I ordered my usual an 18" thin sausage-pepperoni and an order of tomato bread. MAANNN I was disappointed! I thought about putting them on my "list of bad places", but alas I decided to order my usual from the joint, again. Success!! The first time, the pizza was soggy and very unappetizing however, the second was crispy, done to perfection and AWESOME!! The tomato bread (my fave), on the first order, had chopped tomatoes and tasted just plain yucky. Did they forget the garlic??? The second order of tomato bread was great!! sliced tomatoes and great cheesy garlicy taste...YUM. I would've given it 5 stars, but there was no marinera sauce with the tomato bread...booooo. I think I found my delivery-pizza joint!

It is located right around the corner and faces the Marcus movie theaters. There is plenty of parking near their entrance and they have a terrace for outdoor seating. The front entrance is a little small but there is never a wait. I've been there a few times for lunch buffet and dinner. The lunch buffet is a great deal since you don't have to wait and you can get in and out of there pretty quickly. They have a full salad bar with some cold pasta items and then mostly hot pasta specialties. Each of the pastas are different with varying sauces so vegetarians or meaty or cheese preferences are satisfied. There's also a chicken dish and sometimes Italian sausage. The pizzas are in the back and they have their good thin crust with a deep dish specialty added in. There are a couple of soups and a whole table full of desserts. The standard American desserts along with their Italian homemade ones are there for any type of sweet tooth. The prices are good value. They have a pretty vast menu so there's always good reason to go back!

This is my go to restaurant for gluten-free pizza. I love getting their Hawaiian pizza and their Baked Potato pizza. My fiance and I also like their antipasto salad. They also can make fresh meatballs for their pasta per request. Just be willing to wait a little longer for fresh meatballs. if I were to rate only their carryout service, they would get a five. Unfortunately, their table service is a little lacking. When my fiance and I ate in the restaurant, we felt rushed to finish. We weren't even offered coffee and dessert at the end of our meal. The waitress just gave us our check and high tailed it out of there. We were eating dinner at around 8ish, and they didn't close until 10. Why the hurry? The food itself is great. The service needs to be worked on.

If it weren't for my waiter this place could easily be a four, if not a five. The food is fabulous and the lunch buffet a great value. The ambiance reminds me of a cozier East Side Mario's. If it weren't for the waiter (GRR?) it would have been a near perfect experience. This place had a 5-star rating in my book until recently. Their thin crust is still to die for, and they have a great gnocchi with chicken dish. However, I recently took an out-of-town guest here for some deep dish. The crust was so tough, it was difficult to eat. The crust towered high over the sad, flat interior. The toppings were also sparse. My guest actually said, "Giordano's is better." Yikes. Also, the service has taken a dive recently. The staff rarely comes to check on you, which makes it difficult to do things like pay the bill. Oh, Aurelio's, won't you please come back to being one of my favorite places?

2 stars for the food, 4 for the service, but i can't give it 3 stars because it wasn't A-Ok. It is hard for me to give 2 stars. Look at my history, but read on. 1) ordered fried ravioli. Some pieces were hot, some were warm, some were cold. But all of them tasted like it was a frozen food dropped into the fryer. I ate it because i was hungry, but honestly, any cold cheese dish made to be eaten hot is just yucky. 2) got their deep dish pizza. it was came out looking so yummy. Took a bite and it was cool. OMG, W-T-FREAK? Is the oven broken? Worried I sent it back hoping no additional ingredients would be added. Came back, the flavor was good, but now the crust is soggy. erghhh? isn't Chicago the pride of deep dish? Word to the business: don't hurry your food. make it worth while. Maybe i should have ordered a pasta dish, but 2 out of 2 dishes coming out disappointing, I can't say much positive but... STAFF was really friendly. Did what they could, but not enough to make up for the lack of food. Thank goodness it was paid for by my company, or it would have been a waste of my money. I just sacrificed a few hundred calories. Took one for the Yelp team.

Pizza was really good. Service is very friendly. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and the noise level was crazy loud. Don't go here for a romantic meal...just go for the great pizza! I'll go back.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I have come for their dinner buffet (Tues-Thurs.) at least 6 times. It is nothing less than fabulous. Since we come straight from work we usually get here a few minutes before the start of the buffet at 5pm. Even at that time, the salad bar is usually all set up and they have one hot appetizer out. I usually sneak a dessert in, too. They vary the entree offerings so if you come often, you won't be bored with the food. In addition to the pasta and some sort of chicken entree, there are at least 5 or 6 different types of pizza, and a soup and a salad bar. The chopped salad on the salad bar is delicious.All the food is good. I love the dessert table because it reminds me of the dessert tables we had at family gatherings when I was growing up. Little cookies, brownies, cakes, cream puffs. I would describe the food as real, home cooked Italian food. Good job, Aurelios.

A pretty decent establishment. I've ordered here multiple times for their pizza and appetizers. The place itself is actually bigger than it looks. The indoor dining is nice, tall ceilings, typical Italian restaurant feel. They have a large outdoor patio with many tables for the spring and summer time. Their pizza is consistently good, along with the appetizers, specifically their bruschetta. We order pretty simply from here, sausage and cheese pizzas, but they're always good. The crust is crisp and crunchy, the meats are thick and flavorful. Not great, but pretty good if you're around the Addison area, or need a bite to eat while waiting for your movie to start next door at Marcus Theatre.

My name is Beth, and I endorse this lunch buffet. My co-workers and I love to come here for lunch during the week. They have everything from pizza to pasta (their alfredo really is pretty good, as is their eggplant rollatini), soup to salad, and a whole onslaught of sweet stuff too. The only drawback that I have seen is that, for a mid-week lunch, it's a bit pricey. With soda and tip, it's about 12 bucks. Guaranteed carb overload. I need a nap.

WEEKDAY LUNCH BUFFET I dream about it sometimes... I used to work in the area and we would hit this lunch buffet when time and waistline would allow. the typical spread: -salad bar (small, but adequate) -4 types of pasta -4-5 entrees (usually meat/fish, sometimes veggies, sometimes both) 4-5 different pizzas (including stuffed and some kind of spinach calzone thingy that is absolutely wonderful) MANY DESERTS!! free drink with meal. we usually paid $10-11 bucks each including tax and tip. one time, I called in sick to work (I wasn't sick) and drove to this buffet anyway cause it's that damn good.

They have a salad bar, usually two different kinds of soup, pastas, chicken, sausage and peppers, about four different kinds of pizzas and a bunch of desserts!! I usually get only a small salad and skip the soup all together to save more room for the alfredo!! Their alfredo pasta is SOOO good!!! Everything is good really! And the desserts, they have the typical dry Italian cookies and cakes mixed with moist and delicious cheesecake bites and Rice Krispie treats! YUM!! If you love good quality buffets loaded with delicious Italian items...then head here and be prepared to unbutton your pants! **Note...after eating here on Easter Sunday, I realized that they up their brunch price from about $11.00 to $16.00 just because it was for Easter! And there was nothing new on the buffet either to make the price go up...it solely went up due to the holiday...I'm really not feeling that...so I have to dock a star!**

Great Aurelio's pizza with a bit of ambiance! The pizza never disappoints at this location - always too hot to eat when it arrives at the table but you can't help digging in because it is just so tasty! My family and I have never had the buffet at lunch time (wish they would offer on the weekend or dinner time during the week!). Most visits we have very good service. My only pet peeve, and this is with every Aurelio's location I have been, is that there are not unlimited refills on drinks. I think the company is stuck back in the 20th century before refills became standard. My last visit I did notice a few little things that worried me the owners are not keeping up on maintenance - like a cracked flat screen tv - time to replace that since it has been in that condition since the time before when I ate there! Overall though, I make a 40 minute drive out to Addison to have hot fresh sit-down Aurelio's pizza at this location. My mouth is watering already! (get the thin crust with extra sauce - yum yum yum!)

This is definitely not one of the trendiest places around, but at least it's not boring. There is a cool looking outdoor cafe , looked pretty nice but I never dined there. I have to say I'm not a fan of the pizza , the thin crust isn't bad , but they put too much cheese and sauce for my taste. It is alright though , I've just had better. The wife and kid on the other hand really like it , the wife even said it's the best yet in the area.What I do like ; the fried calamari (good) , the baked clams (very good) , the minestrone soup (good) , the Chicken Vesuvio (good), and the Meatball sandwich (good). There is also a lunch buffet , maybe even a dinner buffet (I'm not sure) , I never had it. Food was great. However, customer service was not up to par. As my guest and I were waiting to be served, we overheard an employee (which turned out to be the owner) make a comment regarding "the two non tippers". As he nodded over our direction. We knew he was referring to us. We went on with our lunch and brought it up to the staffs attention after we paid. A simple report of a complaint turned into a debate/argument with the owner and his wife Sharon. Apparently tips are mandatory at this restaurant, otherwise prepare to have employees making side comments and not giving you preference while you are there. At least, that's what the owners made clear to us. Is that there workers deserve and earn their tips every single day. I was obviously unaware of the mandatory tip rule. But this would explain the extremely rude behavior of their staff. It's clear that in the server and serving world, tips are earned. If employees aren't offering at the least satisfactory service, a tip should not be warranted. And in my experience there several times, I may have received above and beyond service one of those times. In which a tip was warranted to the server. I will not be dining their again ever again. Food was excellent. The service was absolutely wretched.

Great authentic Chicago pizza! We ordered the Combination which had sausage, mushrooms and peppers. The establishment was clean and the server was nice. My daughter wanted the buffet but since Aurillio's considers her an adult (just turned 10 years old), it would have been $10 for her. Seriously, I think that is too young to pay full price. Most restaurants consider you a child through 12. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Everyone knows that Chicagoland is deep dish pizza land. In the last ten years or so, the demand for authentic Italian pizza from a wood burning oven has brought a lot of competition, and then there is Aurelio's Pizza, which is somewhere in between. Instead of catering to one or the other, Aurelio's makes a pizza that looks more like other pizzas in the Midwest. The difference, though, is that the pizza here tastes much much better. You can taste it in the ingredients. Aurelio's is definitely a place for families and groups. One Sunday we went out with a group of 12, and four pizzas later, everyone was full and happy with the quality of the meal. We reported a bill of $110 (including tip). The location is clean, and the service is friendly. They do have a bar with the basics on tap, and a few liquors if you want something stronger. You can also order a red or white wine. For the price I would just stick to water or pitchers of soda. The desserts are ok, and they are huge! So if you enjoy desserts, try some here. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for opening in South Loop where I now reside. In the 90's I lived a mile from the Harwood Ave restaurant which still the best. For the first week with the new ovens, the pizza was very good. The sauce was not quite as rich and zesty as the original (a bit salty) and the crust wasn't quite as buttery. That said the pizza was great. If the bar was not set so high, my comments wouldn't be nearly so specific or tough. However I'm a thin crust fan from Flossmoor and to be the best you gotta keep pushing. I'll be back in 3-4 weeks to check things out. Thx Joe

My first experience with the Aurelio's lunch buffet was at the Kankakee location. I get confused down there, so I'm not sure if it was K3/Bourbonais or Manteno. They all kind of blend into an I-57 haze for me. Anyway, I got excited when I found out that the Aurelio's in Addison, just a few minutes away from my job also has the affordable lunch buffet option. But they don't do it as well as the K3 store. They only offered 6 pizzas for selection, and two of them were duplicates. So essentially they had 4 options. And their hot entree options were limited as well. Fortunately, the pizza is still delicious and the service was stellar so I'm only going to knock a single star off this review. I feel that if you run a business under a corporate brand umbrella, your offerings from restaurant to restaurant should be equal in terms of quality and offerings. My server brought me a cute little mini-pitcher of soda so I wouldn't run out of my beverage during my meal. That was a nice touch that I haven't seen many other places. I may return out of location convenience, but if I had my druthers I would only patronize the Kankakee location.

My parents and I came here for a family dinner. The value is stellar - the giant pizza fed four of us with leftovers. I went for the everything pizza, which had a generous amount of both toppings and cheese. The only deterrent here is the services - it's mega slow. We had to flag down our waiter to place our order. This review is for the lunch buffet (every weekday!) which I've been to a couple of times. For the price this is a great deal! Each time I've been there they've had several cold salads, a few hot pasta dishes (fettuccine alfredo & spaghetti w/marinara), a baked/stuffed/rolled chicken dish (had cheese, tomato & spinach inside), grilled sausages w/peppers & onions, 5 kinds of pizza (both thin crust & pan), two kinds of soups and a whole sections of desserts (assortment of cakes, cookies & pastries). All you can eat with a soft drink & tax for under $10! Their location doesn't look like much from the outside but it's nice inside and even has outdoor patio seating. It also doesn't face Lake St. so it's easy to miss.

WOW! Awful! Rude customer service. I'm in shock. I was placed in a room last night next to a big group of people. The owner was apparently called to their table and although I don't have the specifics of what even transpired with that group, what I witnessed from the owner was completely unacceptable. The way she spoke to her customers would not be allowed in any place of business whatsoever. What I did get from the conversation was that she mistakenly seated this group of people in error, thinking it was a party that had a reservation. Doesn't sound like that was the customers fault to me but she certainly made them feel like it was THEIR fault with the way she was speaking to them. The large group said they were going to just leave as it was apparent she didn't want their business and as they all got up to leave, the owner shouted "you know what? Get out of here. I don't need you!" Oh my goodness, I was so embarrassed by this woman's behavior. I, too, would have left if I were this group. No one should be treated that way. The way the customers were spoken too would be reason enough for me to get up and leave as well. I would not return to this place of business.

I have been going here for years and their homemade gluten free pizza is the best in the area. The GF crust has more flavor than the regular pizza crust, to the point where my family (non-celiac) will order the gluten free crust instead of the regular crust. My favorite pizza is the giardinera and ricotta (but get ready for some pain). They offer a gluten free menu which includes bread, gnocchi, appetizers, desserts and beer. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Pizza is your best bet here!

I go here all the time with my family. The menu has alot of choices but you come here for the pizza enough said. I don't what it is but the sauce is very sweet and its a perfect combination with the great crust. For toppings you have to get the carmelized onions they are so so good.

On my search for the perfect pizza, Aurelio's fell a little short. It wasn't BAD, it just didn't blow my mind. The pepperoni and sausage were both really good. The cheese was really fresh too. I just think that the execution of all the ingredients together is what didn't do it for me. The crust was decent...it could have used a little more flavor or crisp to make it awesome, the sauce was really sweet, and the cheese was kind of plain, so when you throw it all together, it was just okay. We also got the pizza bread and the bruschetta, and neither were that great. The "bruschetta" had good bread and oil, but the tomato, celery (what the hell is celery doing on bruschetta?!?), and melted mozz topping was just no good. Meh.

In our continuing efforts to try every pizza place within a 5-mile radius of home, we went with some take-out from Aurelio's. My husband arrived home with a large cheese thin-crust that was a little cool in one corner and had that "cheese has just started to get cold" look about it. (This cannot be blamed on Aurelio's, but rather, Lake St traffic.) And yet it was one of the more delicious thin crusts I have had in recent memory. The crust was crispy around the edges and had a great flavor; the sauce, while just a hair on the sweet side, had plenty of savory to it; and the cheese was delicious, plentiful, and actually broke when you bit into it. (It is a minor pet peeve of mine when you take a bite of pizza and all of the cheese comes with it.) The rest of their menu is large and varied, and I'd like to dine in or at least try an appetizer or two, but honestly, it will be hard to resist the pizza, which is currently up there with Home Run Inn as my favorite thin crust in the area. ===================== 11/1/10: We've now eaten in and tried a few different things. The atmosphere is sort of odd, a mash-up of Chicago history, random old ads, and red-and-white checked stuff. We started with their focaccia appetizer, which was different and delightful -- crispy bread stuffed with cheese and basil and served with a sweet, thick sauce for dipping. We moved on to a stuffed cheese pizza, which probably wouldn't be my first choice again, if only because there wasn't much sauce on it and the top crust got lost and turned into kind of a mess. It was good overall, and I definitely appreciated the "handle" part of the crust, which had a nice light crispiness to it and wasn't overly bready or thick. But I wonder if their version of deep dish has more/chunkier sauce. I'd certainly be willing to eat it again, and try more of their menu, but as far as I'm concerned their thin crust is where it's at.

My "usual" pizza joint closed and in my great search for a pizza joint in my area, I found an Aurelio's. I was super exciting to order from an Aurelio's (a Southside favorite) from a joint on the North-ish-side!! I ordered my usual an 18" thin sausage-pepperoni and an order of tomato bread. MAANNN I was disappointed! I thought about putting them on my "list of bad places", but alas I decided to order my usual from the joint, again. Success!! The first time, the pizza was soggy and very unappetizing however, the second was crispy, done to perfection and AWESOME!! The tomato bread (my fave), on the first order, had chopped tomatoes and tasted just plain yucky. Did they forget the garlic??? It is located right around the corner and faces the Marcus movie theaters. There is plenty of parking near their entrance and they have a terrace for outdoor seating. The front entrance is a little small but there is never a wait. I've been there a few times for lunch buffet and dinner. The lunch buffet is a great deal since you don't have to wait and you can get in and out of there pretty quickly. They have a full salad bar with some cold pasta items and then mostly hot pasta specialties. Each of the pastas are different with varying sauces so vegetarians or meaty or cheese preferences are satisfied. There's also a chicken dish and sometimes Italian sausage. The pizzas are in the back and they have their good thin crust with a deep dish specialty added in. There are a couple of soups and a whole table full of desserts. The standard American desserts along with their Italian homemade ones are there for any type of sweet tooth. The prices are good value. They have a pretty vast menu so there's always good reason to go back!

This is my go to restaurant for gluten-free pizza. I love getting their Hawaiian pizza and their Baked Potato pizza. My fiance and I also like their antipasto salad. They also can make fresh meatballs for their pasta per request. Just be willing to wait a little longer for fresh meatballs. if I were to rate only their carryout service, they would get a five. Unfortunately, their table service is a little lacking. When my fiance and I ate in the restaurant, we felt rushed to finish. We weren't even offered coffee and dessert at the end of our meal. The waitress just gave us our check and high tailed it out of there. We were eating dinner at around 8ish, and they didn't close until 10. Why the hurry? The food itself is great. The service needs to be worked on.

If it weren't for my waiter this place could easily be a four, if not a five. The food is fabulous and the lunch buffet a great value. The ambiance reminds me of a cozier East Side Mario's. If it weren't for the waiter (GRR?) it would have been a near perfect experience. Unfortunately, he was one of those guys with a feminine arrogance to the point my standard 20% was easily taken to 10 and a clear sneer for a thank you and good bye. But I am still booking my daughter's birthday party here and have high expectations for it!

One of the best Aurelio's in the chain. Consistently great pizza. I've been eating at Aurelios since the 1970's and do not see that changing. Thin crust is the best of the bunch. I'm not a big fan of the stuffed pizza. Garlic bread is very good (ask for dipping sauce). The real star here though is the Antipasto Salad, its still as good as the first time I tried it in Homewood many years ago. Highly recommend! Note: reservations only accepted for large groups.

Best thin crust pizza there is. Get a Super Six - sausage, pepperoni, ham, onion, green paper, and mushroom. That's been our favorite thin crust pizza since Joe Aurelio had his first pizza place in Homewood. Atmosphere is friendly and clean. You can call ahead and order pizza for your arrival time. And they now have glutten-free pizza.

1st off, the Yelp map (as of 4/18/11) shows the wrong location. Aurelio's is in the building just east of the movie theatre. Not much else to add to the other reviews...went in hungry for the lunch buffet and left in a little bit of pain. The food is so good! Their pizza is amazing...I don't know if they put a little heroin in there or something but good lord is it tasty! Whether you go in to eat or if you order delivery, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you are, drop me a note and I'll buy your left overs from ya. ;)

The creamy chicken with rice soup was just delicious! So was the grilled calamari appetizer, so tasty & tender! The wait staff treated us very nicely. All in all I spent a wonderful evening here with my friend. This place is highly recommended.

By far the best pizza in the area. I live in Elmwood Park and am surrounded by some of the best pizza places so that's why I say that. I love their stuffed pizza and their thin crust is good, too. LOVE theirs soups, too! The servers are always nice and actually seem to enjoy their jobs. Don't think I've ever had an issue here.

I was introduced to Aurelio's by some coworkers and instantly liked it. I have issues with the crust though, it could be a little crispier. That aside, the sauce is light flavored, not too heavy and not too oily. The cheese is great, you can tell it's real mozza which is important. They also have a really good pizza buffet for lunch. Most times I am not a fan of any kind of buffet, but this one I absolutely like. Great choice of pizza, soup/salad, pasta dishes and great dessert selection. Aurelio's never leaves me feeling gross after eating it, like some heavy pizzas do. Give it a try.

My husband and I love it here. We always get the antipasto salad for two, it comes with incredible rolls (i'm a breadaholic lol) and really delicious salad, and then we get the sausage pizza with mild peppers. We've also had their italian food, i get spaghetti and meatballs with extra marinara, yum! Best of all, they have a dinner buffet, I think it is Mon-Thurs, call and check. This is the best idea ever, because a) you can sample all their food; b) they are right next to the Marcus Cinema and people can easily go right to the buffet and leave in time for the movie, don't have to worry about crowds or timing of food!. My name is Beth, and I endorse this lunch buffet. My co-workers and I love to come here for lunch during the week. They have everything from pizza to pasta (their alfredo really is pretty good, as is their eggplant rollatini), soup to salad, and a whole onslaught of sweet stuff too. The only drawback that I have seen is that, for a mid-week lunch, it's a bit pricey. With soda and tip, it's about 12 bucks. Guaranteed carb overload. I need a nap.

I have to give Aurelio's in Addison 5 Stars. We just went there after the show and had another excellent meal!! I asked if they had "marshmellow vodka" . No, but they had marshmellow syrup. Had a marshmellow martini. Well, you haven't lived. Ha! Comes with 4 teenie-tiny marshmellow as a garnish. Cute! We had a stuffed artichoke appetizer for the first time. It had a delicious lemon seasoning and, I think, they use Panko breadcrumbs because the stuffing was crispy-good. Had their largest thin crust spinach/sausage pizza because we like to have plenty of leftovers. It'snot just spinach on a pie. It's a special marinated recipe that's to die for. The service was excellent. We went early -- like 5:30 or so. Our server was very attentive...the bussers cleared our plates in the heartbeat...asked if we'd like refills promptly. I was really pleasantly surprised with the service because it was top notch. We ate inside, but they have a beautiful terrace out back. Their pizza is delicious!

As a buffet, and I don't mean this is a demeaning way, this is the best food I've had,( accept for maybe Home Run Pizza Buffet ;) But 90% of everything offered on their Buffet is excellent from the Lemon chicken to the Fettuccine Alfredo to the Deep Dish pizza and the steamed vegetables. The service is pretty good (I mean their speedy with drink refills) and for the most part their very friendly! I should order off their menu at some point but for my hour lunch limitation, their buffet is very convenient and their prices are commensurate to the food quality. I just wish a location was closer to work! Definitely wish I didn't have to consider calories when eating here because everything is very rich and scrumptious lol

My family and I LOVE this place. Spinach thin crust with extra sauce is my personal favorite. I could eat it every day and not tire of it. We go pretty often to the Wednesday or Thursday night buffets. We have gone there so much, that the minute we walk in the door, the host/hostess always says "three for buffet?" :) They remember us, which is nice, because you feel like a part of the big Italian family when dining there. We tend to get Vito, or the guy who looks like his twin, as our waiter. My only problem is that while my husband and son love the buffet, I feel that most of the time the pizza seems like it has been sitting out on the warmers for a long time, and doesn't taste as fantastic as ordering a fresh pizza. I think we're due for a buffet night...it's been WAY too long (about a month!)

We love Aurelio's. The thin crust pizza is luscious. The crust is thin, but kind of yeasty and fluffy, too. Excellent crust. I love their marinara - really tomatoey and not oily. Sausage is good. Real, fresh mushrooms and fresh spinach, too. Check out the buffet on weeknights - such a deal and quite tasty. Last time we had an awesome spinach salad - just delicious. They have a lovely outdoor area for the warm seasons - it has a central fireplace, trees, and lots of tables. They make a mean mojito, too.

2 stars for the food, 4 for the service, but i can't give it 3 stars because it wasn't A-Ok. It is hard for me to give 2 stars. Look at my history, but read on. 1) ordered fried ravioli. Some pieces were hot, some were warm, some were cold. But all of them tasted like it was a frozen food dropped into the fryer. I ate it because i was hungry, but honestly, any cold cheese dish made to be eaten hot is just yucky. 2) got their deep dish pizza. it was came out looking so yummy. Took a bite and it was cool. OMG, W-T-FREAK? Is the oven broken? Worried I sent it back hoping no additional ingredients would be added. Came back, the flavor was good, but now the crust is soggy. erghhh? isn't Chicago the pride of deep dish? Word to the business: don't hurry your food. make it worth while. Maybe i should have ordered a pasta dish, but 2 out of 2 dishes coming out disappointing, I can't say much positive but... STAFF was really friendly. Did what they could, but not enough to make up for the lack of food. Thank goodness it was paid for by my company, or it would have been a waste of my money. I just sacrificed a few hundred calories. Took one for the Yelp team.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I have come for their dinner buffet (Tues-Thurs.) at least 6 times. It is nothing less than fabulous. Since we come straight from work we usually get here a few minutes before the start of the buffet at 5pm. Even at that time, the salad bar is usually all set up and they have one hot appetizer out. I usually sneak a dessert in, too. They vary the entree offerings so if you come often, you won't be bored with the food. In addition to the pasta and some sort of chicken entree, there are at least 5 or 6 different types of pizza, and a soup and a salad bar. The chopped salad on the salad bar is delicious.All the food is good. I love the dessert table because it reminds me of the dessert tables we had at family gatherings when I was growing up. Little cookies, brownies, cakes, cream puffs. I would describe the food as real, home cooked Italian food. Good job, Aurelios.

A pretty decent establishment. I've ordered here multiple times for their pizza and appetizers. The place itself is actually bigger than it looks. The indoor dining is nice, tall ceilings, typical Italian restaurant feel. They have a large outdoor patio with many tables for the spring and summer time. Their pizza is consistently good, along with the appetizers, specifically their bruschetta. We order pretty simply from here, sausage and cheese pizzas, but they're always good. The crust is crisp and crunchy, the meats are thick and flavorful. Not great, but pretty good if you're around the Addison area, or need a bite to eat while waiting for your movie to start next door at Marcus Theatre.

WEEKDAY LUNCH BUFFET I dream about it sometimes... I used to work in the area and we would hit this lunch buffet when time and waistline would allow. the typical spread: -salad bar (small, but adequate) -4 types of pasta -4-5 entrees (usually meat/fish, sometimes veggies, sometimes both) 4-5 different pizzas (including stuffed and some kind of spinach calzone thingy that is absolutely wonderful) MANY DESERTS!! free drink with meal. we usually paid $10-11 bucks each including tax and tip. one time, I called in sick to work (I wasn't sick) and drove to this buffet anyway cause it's that damn good.

Will never go back to the Aurelios in Addison. Service was horrible. It took the waitress a very long time to make it to our table initially -- we should have left then. We had to wait long intervals for her to come back to the table with the drinks, check, etc. Restaurant was not very crowded. They screwed up the order and then when she brought the pizza the waitress knocked my husband's beer all over him. It took her more than 10 minutes to bring him another which she charged us for. We actually like the pizza here but this is the worst service I think I have ever had at a restaurant and no pizza is worth it.

So from the outside this place doesn't look too interesting and it is kind of hidden, but once you eat there, you will be back for more! I have only gone there for their dinner and brunch buffets (cause I'm fat like that), and they are delicious!! We are actually going there for their Easter brunch on Sunday! YUM! They have a salad bar, usually two different kinds of soup, pastas, chicken, sausage and peppers, about four different kinds of pizzas and a bunch of desserts!! I usually get only a small salad and skip the soup all together to save more room for the alfredo!! Their alfredo pasta is SOOO good!!! Everything is good really! And the desserts, they have the typical dry Italian cookies and cakes mixed with moist and delicious cheesecake bites and Rice Krispie treats! YUM!! If you love good quality buffets loaded with delicious Italian items...then head here and be prepared to unbutton your pants! **Note...after eating here on Easter Sunday, I realized that they up their brunch price from about $11.00 to $16.00 just because it was for Easter! And there was nothing new on the buffet either to make the price go up...it solely went up due to the holiday...I'm really not feeling that...so I have to dock a star!**

Great Aurelio's pizza with a bit of ambiance! The pizza never disappoints at this location - always too hot to eat when it arrives at the table but you can't help digging in because it is just so tasty! My family and I have never had the buffet at lunch time (wish they would offer on the weekend or dinner time during the week!). Most visits we have very good service. My only pet peeve, and this is with every Aurelio's location I have been, is that there are not unlimited refills on drinks. I think the company is stuck back in the 20th century before refills became standard. My last visit I did notice a few little things that worried me the owners are not keeping up on maintenance - like a cracked flat screen tv - time to replace that since it has been in that condition since the time before when I ate there! Overall though, I make a 40 minute drive out to Addison to have hot fresh sit-down Aurelio's pizza at this location. My mouth is watering already! (get the thin crust with extra sauce - yum yum yum!)

I didn't think much of this place when passed by the outside of it. It's in a strip mall and does little to draw attention to itself. I even stopped in to get carry out here first , and didn't see how cool this place was. Once I stepped fully inside , It's charmingly cheesy decor hit me full force. They try to pull off a 1940's Italian neighborhood outdoor cafe feel , complete with gates , vines and lampposts. This is definitely not one of the trendiest places around, but at least it's not boring. There is a cool looking outdoor cafe , looked pretty nice but I never dined there. I have to say I'm not a fan of the pizza , the thin crust isn't bad , but they put too much cheese and sauce for my taste. It is alright though , I've just had better. The wife and kid on the other hand really like it , the wife even said it's the best yet in the area.What I do like ; the fried calamari (good) , the baked clams (very good) , the minestrone soup (good) , the Chicken Vesuvio (good), and the Meatball sandwich (good). There is also a lunch buffet , maybe even a dinner buffet (I'm not sure) , I never had it. I am not the biggest expert on Italian (Olive Garden is probably the Italian place I hit the most) , but this place is great for family's , they have good to very good food , friendly staff , and a Gigantic menu . If you accept the fact that it's not a place for a serious date , more of a hang out and family night out joint , I'd be surprised if you don't think this place is at least pretty good.

Our extended family all went here for the buffet during the week. We had the private room and we all got the buffet. About 30 of us. The pizza was very good. The rest of the food was average. The desserts were all less than desirable. We were over charged for the tip. They added 20% gratuity on top of the tax for terrible service .....for a buffet. It was impossible to get a drink refill. The server was not around 90% of the time. I think this place is known for having bad service and charging 20% tip automatically for small groups too. When my sister called to ask about being over charged, the owner was extremely rude and told her that she and our family were to never come back! This was out of line and totally unwarranted. What kind of restaurant treats their customers like this? This place has issues.

This place had a 5-star rating in my book until recently. Their thin crust is still to die for, and they have a great gnocchi with chicken dish. However, I recently took an out-of-town guest here for some deep dish. The crust was so tough, it was difficult to eat. The crust towered high over the sad, flat interior. The toppings were also sparse. My guest actually said, "Giordano's is better." Yikes. Also, the service has taken a dive recently. The staff rarely comes to check on you, which makes it difficult to do things like pay the bill. Oh, Aurelio's, won't you please come back to being one of my favorite places?

The pizza is super greasy, but I really like it! They have an excellent thin crust. I will say that it is a bit expensive, but it is filling and we always have a bunch of leftovers. They also have a really good gluten-free crust from what my wife tells me. This is a huge reason we order from here as much as we do.

As a buffet, and I don't mean this is a demeaning way, this is the best food I've had,( accept for maybe Home Run Pizza Buffet ;) But 90% of everything offered on their Buffet is excellent from the Lemon chicken to the Fettuccine Alfredo to the Deep Dish pizza and the steamed vegetables. The service is pretty good (I mean their speedy with drink refills) and for the most part their very friendly! I should order off their menu at some point but for my hour lunch limitation, their buffet is very convenient and their prices are commensurate to the food quality. I just wish a location was closer to work! Definitely wish I didn't have to consider calories when eating here because everything is very rich and scrumptious lol

My family and I LOVE this place. Spinach thin crust with extra sauce is my personal favorite. I could eat it every day and not tire of it. We go pretty often to the Wednesday or Thursday night buffets. We have gone there so much, that the minute we walk in the door, the host/hostess always says "three for buffet?" :) They remember us, which is nice, because you feel like a part of the big Italian family when dining there. We tend to get Vito, or the guy who looks like his twin, as our waiter. My only problem is that while my husband and son love the buffet, I feel that most of the time the pizza seems like it has been sitting out on the warmers for a long time, and doesn't taste as fantastic as ordering a fresh pizza. I think we're due for a buffet night...it's been WAY too long (about a month!)

A pretty decent establishment. I've ordered here multiple times for their pizza and appetizers. The place itself is actually bigger than it looks. The indoor dining is nice, tall ceilings, typical Italian restaurant feel. They have a large outdoor patio with many tables for the spring and summer time. Their pizza is consistently good, along with the appetizers, specifically their bruschetta. We order pretty simply from here, sausage and cheese pizzas, but they're always good. The crust is crisp and crunchy, the meats are thick and flavorful. Not great, but pretty good if you're around the Addison area, or need a bite to eat while waiting for your movie to start next door at Marcus Theatre.

My name is Beth, and I endorse this lunch buffet. My co-workers and I love to come here for lunch during the week. They have everything from pizza to pasta (their alfredo really is pretty good, as is their eggplant rollatini), soup to salad, and a whole onslaught of sweet stuff too. The only drawback that I have seen is that, for a mid-week lunch, it's a bit pricey. With soda and tip, it's about 12 bucks. Guaranteed carb overload. I need a nap.

WEEKDAY LUNCH BUFFET I dream about it sometimes... I used to work in the area and we would hit this lunch buffet when time and waistline would allow. the typical spread: -salad bar (small, but adequate) -4 types of pasta -4-5 entrees (usually meat/fish, sometimes veggies, sometimes both) 4-5 different pizzas (including stuffed and some kind of spinach calzone thingy that is absolutely wonderful) MANY DESERTS!! free drink with meal. we usually paid $10-11 bucks each including tax and tip. one time, I called in sick to work (I wasn't sick) and drove to this buffet anyway cause it's that damn good.

Great Aurelio's pizza with a bit of ambiance! The pizza never disappoints at this location - always too hot to eat when it arrives at the table but you can't help digging in because it is just so tasty! My family and I have never had the buffet at lunch time (wish they would offer on the weekend or dinner time during the week!). Most visits we have very good service. My only pet peeve, and this is with every Aurelio's location I have been, is that there are not unlimited refills on drinks. I think the company is stuck back in the 20th century before refills became standard. My last visit I did notice a few little things that worried me the owners are not keeping up on maintenance - like a cracked flat screen tv - time to replace that since it has been in that condition since the time before when I ate there! Overall though, I make a 40 minute drive out to Addison to have hot fresh sit-down Aurelio's pizza at this location. My mouth is watering already! (get the thin crust with extra sauce - yum yum yum!)

Food was great. However, customer service was not up to par. As my guest and I were waiting to be served, we overheard an employee (which turned out to be the owner) make a comment regarding "the two non tippers". As he nodded over our direction. We knew he was referring to us. We went on with our lunch and brought it up to the staffs attention after we paid. A simple report of a complaint turned into a debate/argument with the owner and his wife Sharon. Apparently tips are mandatory at this restaurant, otherwise prepare to have employees making side comments and not giving you preference while you are there. At least, that's what the owners made clear to us. Is that there workers deserve and earn their tips every single day. I was obviously unaware of the mandatory tip rule. But this would explain the extremely rude behavior of their staff. It's clear that in the server and serving world, tips are earned. If employees aren't offering at the least satisfactory service, a tip should not be warranted. And in my experience there several times, I may have received above and beyond service one of those times. In which a tip was warranted to the server. I will not be dining their again ever again. Food was excellent. The service was absolutely wretched.

Great authentic Chicago pizza! We ordered the Combination which had sausage, mushrooms and peppers. The establishment was clean and the server was nice. My daughter wanted the buffet but since Aurillio's considers her an adult (just turned 10 years old), it would have been $10 for her. Seriously, I think that is too young to pay full price. Most restaurants consider you a child through 12. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Everyone knows that Chicagoland is deep dish pizza land. In the last ten years or so, the demand for authentic Italian pizza from a wood burning oven has brought a lot of competition, and then there is Aurelio's Pizza, which is somewhere in between. Instead of catering to one or the other, Aurelio's makes a pizza that looks more like other pizzas in the Midwest. The difference, though, is that the pizza here tastes much much better. You can taste it in the ingredients. Aurelio's is definitely a place for families and groups. One Sunday we went out with a group of 12, and four pizzas later, everyone was full and happy with the quality of the meal. We reported a bill of $110 (including tip). The location is clean, and the service is friendly. They do have a bar with the basics on tap, and a few liquors if you want something stronger. You can also order a red or white wine. For the price I would just stick to water or pitchers of soda. The desserts are ok, and they are huge! So if you enjoy desserts, try some here. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for opening in South Loop where I now reside. In the 90's I lived a mile from the Harwood Ave restaurant which still the best. For the first week with the new ovens, the pizza was very good. The sauce was not quite as rich and zesty as the original (a bit salty) and the crust wasn't quite as buttery. That said the pizza was great. If the bar was not set so high, my comments wouldn't be nearly so specific or tough. However I'm a thin crust fan from Flossmoor and to be the best you gotta keep pushing. I'll be back in 3-4 weeks to check things out. Thx Joe

My first experience with the Aurelio's lunch buffet was at the Kankakee location. I get confused down there, so I'm not sure if it was K3/Bourbonais or Manteno. They all kind of blend into an I-57 haze for me. Anyway, I got excited when I found out that the Aurelio's in Addison, just a few minutes away from my job also has the affordable lunch buffet option. But they don't do it as well as the K3 store. They only offered 6 pizzas for selection, and two of them were duplicates. So essentially they had 4 options. And their hot entree options were limited as well. Fortunately, the pizza is still delicious and the service was stellar so I'm only going to knock a single star off this review. I feel that if you run a business under a corporate brand umbrella, your offerings from restaurant to restaurant should be equal in terms of quality and offerings. My server brought me a cute little mini-pitcher of soda so I wouldn't run out of my beverage during my meal. That was a nice touch that I haven't seen many other places. I may return out of location convenience, but if I had my druthers I would only patronize the Kankakee location.

My parents and I came here for a family dinner. The value is stellar - the giant pizza fed four of us with leftovers. I went for the everything pizza, which had a generous amount of both toppings and cheese. The only deterrent here is the services - it's mega slow. We had to flag down our waiter to place our order. This review is for the lunch buffet (every weekday!) which I've been to a couple of times. For the price this is a great deal! Each time I've been there they've had several cold salads, a few hot pasta dishes (fettuccine alfredo & spaghetti w/marinara), a baked/stuffed/rolled chicken dish (had cheese, tomato & spinach inside), grilled sausages w/peppers & onions, 5 kinds of pizza (both thin crust & pan), two kinds of soups and a whole sections of desserts (assortment of cakes, cookies & pastries). All you can eat with a soft drink & tax for under $10! Their location doesn't look like much from the outside but it's nice inside and even has outdoor patio seating. It also doesn't face Lake St. so it's easy to miss.

WOW! Awful! Rude customer service. I'm in shock. I was placed in a room last night next to a big group of people. The owner was apparently called to their table and although I don't have the specifics of what even transpired with that group, what I witnessed from the owner was completely unacceptable. The way she spoke to her customers would not be allowed in any place of business whatsoever. What I did get from the conversation was that she mistakenly seated this group of people in error, thinking it was a party that had a reservation. Doesn't sound like that was the customers fault to me but she certainly made them feel like it was THEIR fault with the way she was speaking to them. The large group said they were going to just leave as it was apparent she didn't want their business and as they all got up to leave, the owner shouted "you know what? Get out of here. I don't need you!" Oh my goodness, I was so embarrassed by this woman's behavior. I, too, would have left if I were this group. No one should be treated that way. The way the customers were spoken too would be reason enough for me to get up and leave as well. I would not return to this place of business.

I have been going here for years and their homemade gluten free pizza is the best in the area. The GF crust has more flavor than the regular pizza crust, to the point where my family (non-celiac) will order the gluten free crust instead of the regular crust. My favorite pizza is the giardinera and ricotta (but get ready for some pain). They offer a gluten free menu which includes bread, gnocchi, appetizers, desserts and beer. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Pizza is your best bet here!

I go here all the time with my family. The menu has alot of choices but you come here for the pizza enough said. I don't what it is but the sauce is very sweet and its a perfect combination with the great crust. For toppings you have to get the carmelized onions they are so so good.

On my search for the perfect pizza, Aurelio's fell a little short. It wasn't BAD, it just didn't blow my mind. The pepperoni and sausage were both really good. The cheese was really fresh too. I just think that the execution of all the ingredients together is what didn't do it for me. The crust was decent...it could have used a little more flavor or crisp to make it awesome, the sauce was really sweet, and the cheese was kind of plain, so when you throw it all together, it was just okay. We also got the pizza bread and the bruschetta, and neither were that great. The "bruschetta" had good bread and oil, but the tomato, celery (what the hell is celery doing on bruschetta?!?), and melted mozz topping was just no good. Meh.

1st off, the Yelp map (as of 4/18/11) shows the wrong location. Aurelio's is in the building just east of the movie theatre. Not much else to add to the other reviews...went in hungry for the lunch buffet and left in a little bit of pain. The food is so good! Their pizza is amazing...I don't know if they put a little heroin in there or something but good lord is it tasty! Whether you go in to eat or if you order delivery, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you are, drop me a note and I'll buy your left overs from ya. ;)

In our continuing efforts to try every pizza place within a 5-mile radius of home, we went with some take-out from Aurelio's. My husband arrived home with a large cheese thin-crust that was a little cool in one corner and had that "cheese has just started to get cold" look about it. (This cannot be blamed on Aurelio's, but rather, Lake St traffic.) And yet it was one of the more delicious thin crusts I have had in recent memory. The crust was crispy around the edges and had a great flavor; the sauce, while just a hair on the sweet side, had plenty of savory to it; and the cheese was delicious, plentiful, and actually broke when you bit into it. (It is a minor pet peeve of mine when you take a bite of pizza and all of the cheese comes with it.) The rest of their menu is large and varied, and I'd like to dine in or at least try an appetizer or two, but honestly, it will be hard to resist the pizza, which is currently up there with Home Run Inn as my favorite thin crust in the area. ===================== 11/1/10: We've now eaten in and tried a few different things. The atmosphere is sort of odd, a mash-up of Chicago history, random old ads, and red-and-white checked stuff. We started with their focaccia appetizer, which was different and delightful -- crispy bread stuffed with cheese and basil and served with a sweet, thick sauce for dipping. We moved on to a stuffed cheese pizza, which probably wouldn't be my first choice again, if only because there wasn't much sauce on it and the top crust got lost and turned into kind of a mess. It was good overall, and I definitely appreciated the "handle" part of the crust, which had a nice light crispiness to it and wasn't overly bready or thick. But I wonder if their version of deep dish has more/chunkier sauce. I'd certainly be willing to eat it again, and try more of their menu, but as far as I'm concerned their thin crust is where it's at.

My "usual" pizza joint closed and in my great search for a pizza joint in my area, I found an Aurelio's. I was super exciting to order from an Aurelio's (a Southside favorite) from a joint on the North-ish-side!! I ordered my usual an 18" thin sausage-pepperoni and an order of tomato bread. MAANNN I was disappointed! I thought about putting them on my "list of bad places", but alas I decided to order my usual from the joint, again. Success!! The first time, the pizza was soggy and very unappetizing however, the second was crispy, done to perfection and AWESOME!! The tomato bread (my fave), on the first order, had chopped tomatoes and tasted just plain yucky. Did they forget the garlic??? The second order of tomato bread was great!! sliced tomatoes and great cheesy garlicy taste...YUM. I would've given it 5 stars, but there was no marinera sauce with the tomato bread...booooo. I think I found my delivery-pizza joint!

It is located right around the corner and faces the Marcus movie theaters. There is plenty of parking near their entrance and they have a terrace for outdoor seating. The front entrance is a little small but there is never a wait. I've been there a few times for lunch buffet and dinner. The lunch buffet is a great deal since you don't have to wait and you can get in and out of there pretty quickly. They have a full salad bar with some cold pasta items and then mostly hot pasta specialties. Each of the pastas are different with varying sauces so vegetarians or meaty or cheese preferences are satisfied. There's also a chicken dish and sometimes Italian sausage. The pizzas are in the back and they have their good thin crust with a deep dish specialty added in. There are a couple of soups and a whole table full of desserts. The standard American desserts along with their Italian homemade ones are there for any type of sweet tooth. The prices are good value. They have a pretty vast menu so there's always good reason to go back!

This is my go to restaurant for gluten-free pizza. I love getting their Hawaiian pizza and their Baked Potato pizza. My fiance and I also like their antipasto salad. They also can make fresh meatballs for their pasta per request. Just be willing to wait a little longer for fresh meatballs. if I were to rate only their carryout service, they would get a five. Unfortunately, their table service is a little lacking. When my fiance and I ate in the restaurant, we felt rushed to finish. We weren't even offered coffee and dessert at the end of our meal. The waitress just gave us our check and high tailed it out of there. We were eating dinner at around 8ish, and they didn't close until 10. Why the hurry? The food itself is great. The service needs to be worked on.

If it weren't for my waiter this place could easily be a four, if not a five. The food is fabulous and the lunch buffet a great value. The ambiance reminds me of a cozier East Side Mario's. If it weren't for the waiter (GRR?) it would have been a near perfect experience. One of the best Aurelio's in the chain. Consistently great pizza. I've been eating at Aurelios since the 1970's and do not see that changing. Thin crust is the best of the bunch. I'm not a big fan of the stuffed pizza. Garlic bread is very good (ask for dipping sauce). The real star here though is the Antipasto Salad, its still as good as the first time I tried it in Homewood many years ago. Highly recommend! Note: reservations only accepted for large groups.

Best thin crust pizza there is. Get a Super Six - sausage, pepperoni, ham, onion, green paper, and mushroom. That's been our favorite thin crust pizza since Joe Aurelio had his first pizza place in Homewood. Atmosphere is friendly and clean. You can call ahead and order pizza for your arrival time. And they now have glutten-free pizza.

I was introduced to Aurelio's by some coworkers and instantly liked it. I have issues with the crust though, it could be a little crispier. That aside, the sauce is light flavored, not too heavy and not too oily. The cheese is great, you can tell it's real mozza which is important. They also have a really good pizza buffet for lunch. Most times I am not a fan of any kind of buffet, but this one I absolutely like. Great choice of pizza, soup/salad, pasta dishes and great dessert selection. Aurelio's never leaves me feeling gross after eating it, like some heavy pizzas do. Give it a try.

My husband and I love it here. We always get the antipasto salad for two, it comes with incredible rolls (i'm a breadaholic lol) and really delicious salad, and then we get the sausage pizza with mild peppers. We've also had their italian food, i get spaghetti and meatballs with extra marinara, yum! Best of all, they have a dinner buffet, I think it is Mon-Thurs, call and check. This is the best idea ever, because a) you can sample all their food; b) they are right next to the Marcus Cinema and people can easily go right to the buffet and leave in time for the movie, don't have to worry about crowds or timing of food!. Our extended family all went here for the buffet during the week. We had the private room and we all got the buffet. About 30 of us. The pizza was very good. The rest of the food was average. The desserts were all less than desirable. We were over charged for the tip. They added 20% gratuity on top of the tax for terrible service .....for a buffet. It was impossible to get a drink refill. The server was not around 90% of the time. I think this place is known for having bad service and charging 20% tip automatically for small groups too. When my sister called to ask about being over charged, the owner was extremely rude and told her that she and our family were to never come back! This was out of line and totally unwarranted. What kind of restaurant treats their customers like this? This place has issues.

This place had a 5-star rating in my book until recently. Their thin crust is still to die for, and they have a great gnocchi with chicken dish. However, I recently took an out-of-town guest here for some deep dish. The crust was so tough, it was difficult to eat. The crust towered high over the sad, flat interior. The toppings were also sparse. My guest actually said, "Giordano's is better." Yikes. Also, the service has taken a dive recently. The staff rarely comes to check on you, which makes it difficult to do things like pay the bill. Oh, Aurelio's, won't you please come back to being one of my favorite places?

I have to give Aurelio's in Addison 5 Stars. We just went there after the show and had another excellent meal!! I asked if they had "marshmellow vodka" . No, but they had marshmellow syrup. Had a marshmellow martini. Well, you haven't lived. Ha! Comes with 4 teenie-tiny marshmellow as a garnish. Cute! We had a stuffed artichoke appetizer for the first time. It had a delicious lemon seasoning and, I think, they use Panko breadcrumbs because the stuffing was crispy-good. Had their largest thin crust spinach/sausage pizza because we like to have plenty of leftovers. It'snot just spinach on a pie. It's a special marinated recipe that's to die for. The service was excellent. We went early -- like 5:30 or so. Our server was very attentive...the bussers cleared our plates in the heartbeat...asked if we'd like refills promptly. I was really pleasantly surprised with the service because it was top notch. We ate inside, but they have a beautiful terrace out back. Their pizza is delicious!

We love Aurelio's. The thin crust pizza is luscious. The crust is thin, but kind of yeasty and fluffy, too. Excellent crust. I love their marinara - really tomatoey and not oily. Sausage is good. Real, fresh mushrooms and fresh spinach, too. Check out the buffet on weeknights - such a deal and quite tasty. Last time we had an awesome spinach salad - just delicious. They have a lovely outdoor area for the warm seasons - it has a central fireplace, trees, and lots of tables. They make a mean mojito, too.

The pizza is super greasy, but I really like it! They have an excellent thin crust. I will say that it is a bit expensive, but it is filling and we always have a bunch of leftovers. They also have a really good gluten-free crust from what my wife tells me. This is a huge reason we order from here as much as we do.

Food was great. However, customer service was not up to par. As my guest and I were waiting to be served, we overheard an employee (which turned out to be the owner) make a comment regarding "the two non tippers". As he nodded over our direction. We knew he was referring to us. We went on with our lunch and brought it up to the staffs attention after we paid. A simple report of a complaint turned into a debate/argument with the owner and his wife Sharon. Apparently tips are mandatory at this restaurant, otherwise prepare to have employees making side comments and not giving you preference while you are there. At least, that's what the owners made clear to us. Is that there workers deserve and earn their tips every single day. I was obviously unaware of the mandatory tip rule. But this would explain the extremely rude behavior of their staff. It's clear that in the server and serving world, tips are earned. If employees aren't offering at the least satisfactory service, a tip should not be warranted. And in my experience there several times, I may have received above and beyond service one of those times. In which a tip was warranted to the server. I will not be dining their again ever again. Food was excellent. The service was absolutely wretched.

Great authentic Chicago pizza! We ordered the Combination which had sausage, mushrooms and peppers. The establishment was clean and the server was nice. My daughter wanted the buffet but since Aurillio's considers her an adult (just turned 10 years old), it would have been $10 for her. Seriously, I think that is too young to pay full price. Most restaurants consider you a child through 12. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Everyone knows that Chicagoland is deep dish pizza land. In the last ten years or so, the demand for authentic Italian pizza from a wood burning oven has brought a lot of competition, and then there is Aurelio's Pizza, which is somewhere in between. Instead of catering to one or the other, Aurelio's makes a pizza that looks more like other pizzas in the Midwest. The difference, though, is that the pizza here tastes much much better. You can taste it in the ingredients. Aurelio's is definitely a place for families and groups. One Sunday we went out with a group of 12, and four pizzas later, everyone was full and happy with the quality of the meal. We reported a bill of $110 (including tip). The location is clean, and the service is friendly. They do have a bar with the basics on tap, and a few liquors if you want something stronger. You can also order a red or white wine. For the price I would just stick to water or pitchers of soda. The desserts are ok, and they are huge! So if you enjoy desserts, try some here. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for opening in South Loop where I now reside. In the 90's I lived a mile from the Harwood Ave restaurant which still the best. For the first week with the new ovens, the pizza was very good. The sauce was not quite as rich and zesty as the original (a bit salty) and the crust wasn't quite as buttery. That said the pizza was great. If the bar was not set so high, my comments wouldn't be nearly so specific or tough. However I'm a thin crust fan from Flossmoor and to be the best you gotta keep pushing. I'll be back in 3-4 weeks to check things out. Thx Joe

My first experience with the Aurelio's lunch buffet was at the Kankakee location. I get confused down there, so I'm not sure if it was K3/Bourbonais or Manteno. They all kind of blend into an I-57 haze for me. Anyway, I got excited when I found out that the Aurelio's in Addison, just a few minutes away from my job also has the affordable lunch buffet option. But they don't do it as well as the K3 store. They only offered 6 pizzas for selection, and two of them were duplicates. So essentially they had 4 options. And their hot entree options were limited as well. Fortunately, the pizza is still delicious and the service was stellar so I'm only going to knock a single star off this review. I feel that if you run a business under a corporate brand umbrella, your offerings from restaurant to restaurant should be equal in terms of quality and offerings. My server brought me a cute little mini-pitcher of soda so I wouldn't run out of my beverage during my meal. That was a nice touch that I haven't seen many other places. I may return out of location convenience, but if I had my druthers I would only patronize the Kankakee location.

My parents and I came here for a family dinner. The value is stellar - the giant pizza fed four of us with leftovers. I went for the everything pizza, which had a generous amount of both toppings and cheese. The only deterrent here is the services - it's mega slow. We had to flag down our waiter to place our order. It was a weeknight and not slammed, so I'm not sure what happened there.

This review is for the lunch buffet (every weekday!) which I've been to a couple of times. For the price this is a great deal! Each time I've been there they've had several cold salads, a few hot pasta dishes (fettuccine alfredo & spaghetti w/marinara), a baked/stuffed/rolled chicken dish (had cheese, tomato & spinach inside), grilled sausages w/peppers & onions, 5 kinds of pizza (both thin crust & pan), two kinds of soups and a whole sections of desserts (assortment of cakes, cookies & pastries). All you can eat with a soft drink & tax for under $10! Their location doesn't look like much from the outside but it's nice inside and even has outdoor patio seating. It also doesn't face Lake St. so it's easy to miss.

WOW! Awful! Rude customer service. I'm in shock. I was placed in a room last night next to a big group of people. The owner was apparently called to their table and although I don't have the specifics of what even transpired with that group, what I witnessed from the owner was completely unacceptable. The way she spoke to her customers would not be allowed in any place of business whatsoever. What I did get from the conversation was that she mistakenly seated this group of people in error, thinking it was a party that had a reservation. Doesn't sound like that was the customers fault to me but she certainly made them feel like it was THEIR fault with the way she was speaking to them. The large group said they were going to just leave as it was apparent she didn't want their business and as they all got up to leave, the owner shouted "you know what? Get out of here. I don't need you!" Oh my goodness, I was so embarrassed by this woman's behavior. I, too, would have left if I were this group. No one should be treated that way. The way the customers were spoken too would be reason enough for me to get up and leave as well. I would not return to this place of business.

I have been going here for years and their homemade gluten free pizza is the best in the area. The GF crust has more flavor than the regular pizza crust, to the point where my family (non-celiac) will order the gluten free crust instead of the regular crust. My favorite pizza is the giardinera and ricotta (but get ready for some pain). They offer a gluten free menu which includes bread, gnocchi, appetizers, desserts and beer. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Pizza is your best bet here!

I go here all the time with my family. The menu has alot of choices but you come here for the pizza enough said. I don't what it is but the sauce is very sweet and its a perfect combination with the great crust. For toppings you have to get the carmelized onions they are so so good.

On my search for the perfect pizza, Aurelio's fell a little short. It wasn't BAD, it just didn't blow my mind. The pepperoni and sausage were both really good. The cheese was really fresh too. I just think that the execution of all the ingredients together is what didn't do it for me. The crust was decent...it could have used a little more flavor or crisp to make it awesome, the sauce was really sweet, and the cheese was kind of plain, so when you throw it all together, it was just okay. We also got the pizza bread and the bruschetta, and neither were that great. The "bruschetta" had good bread and oil, but the tomato, celery (what the hell is celery doing on bruschetta?!?), and melted mozz topping was just no good. Meh.

1st off, the Yelp map (as of 4/18/11) shows the wrong location. Aurelio's is in the building just east of the movie theatre. Not much else to add to the other reviews...went in hungry for the lunch buffet and left in a little bit of pain. The food is so good! Their pizza is amazing...I don't know if they put a little heroin in there or something but good lord is it tasty! Whether you go in to eat or if you order delivery, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you are, drop me a note and I'll buy your left overs from ya. ;)

In our continuing efforts to try every pizza place within a 5-mile radius of home, we went with some take-out from Aurelio's. My husband arrived home with a large cheese thin-crust that was a little cool in one corner and had that "cheese has just started to get cold" look about it. (This cannot be blamed on Aurelio's, but rather, Lake St traffic.) And yet it was one of the more delicious thin crusts I have had in recent memory. The crust was crispy around the edges and had a great flavor; the sauce, while just a hair on the sweet side, had plenty of savory to it; and the cheese was delicious, plentiful, and actually broke when you bit into it. (It is a minor pet peeve of mine when you take a bite of pizza and all of the cheese comes with it.) The rest of their menu is large and varied, and I'd like to dine in or at least try an appetizer or two, but honestly, it will be hard to resist the pizza, which is currently up there with Home Run Inn as my favorite thin crust in the area. ===================== 11/1/10: We've now eaten in and tried a few different things. The atmosphere is sort of odd, a mash-up of Chicago history, random old ads, and red-and-white checked stuff. We started with their focaccia appetizer, which was different and delightful -- crispy bread stuffed with cheese and basil and served with a sweet, thick sauce for dipping. We moved on to a stuffed cheese pizza, which probably wouldn't be my first choice again, if only because there wasn't much sauce on it and the top crust got lost and turned into kind of a mess. It was good overall, and I definitely appreciated the "handle" part of the crust, which had a nice light crispiness to it and wasn't overly bready or thick. But I wonder if their version of deep dish has more/chunkier sauce. I'd certainly be willing to eat it again, and try more of their menu, but as far as I'm concerned their thin crust is where it's at.

My "usual" pizza joint closed and in my great search for a pizza joint in my area, I found an Aurelio's. I was super exciting to order from an Aurelio's (a Southside favorite) from a joint on the North-ish-side!! I ordered my usual an 18" thin sausage-pepperoni and an order of tomato bread. MAANNN I was disappointed! I thought about putting them on my "list of bad places", but alas I decided to order my usual from the joint, again. Success!! The first time, the pizza was soggy and very unappetizing however, the second was crispy, done to perfection and AWESOME!! The tomato bread (my fave), on the first order, had chopped tomatoes and tasted just plain yucky. Did they forget the garlic??? The second order of tomato bread was great!! sliced tomatoes and great cheesy garlicy taste...YUM. I would've given it 5 stars, but there was no marinera sauce with the tomato bread...booooo. I think I found my delivery-pizza joint!

By far the best pizza in the area. I live in Elmwood Park and am surrounded by some of the best pizza places so that's why I say that. I love their stuffed pizza and their thin crust is good, too. It is located right around the corner and faces the Marcus movie theaters. There is plenty of parking near their entrance and they have a terrace for outdoor seating. The front entrance is a little small but there is never a wait. I've been there a few times for lunch buffet and dinner. The lunch buffet is a great deal since you don't have to wait and you can get in and out of there pretty quickly. They have a full salad bar with some cold pasta items and then mostly hot pasta specialties. Each of the pastas are different with varying sauces so vegetarians or meaty or cheese preferences are satisfied. There's also a chicken dish and sometimes Italian sausage. The pizzas are in the back and they have their good thin crust with a deep dish specialty added in. There are a couple of soups and a whole table full of desserts. The standard American desserts along with their Italian homemade ones are there for any type of sweet tooth. The prices are good value. They have a pretty vast menu so there's always good reason to go back!

This is my go to restaurant for gluten-free pizza. I love getting their Hawaiian pizza and their Baked Potato pizza. My fiance and I also like their antipasto salad. They also can make fresh meatballs for their pasta per request. Just be willing to wait a little longer for fresh meatballs. if I were to rate only their carryout service, they would get a five. Unfortunately, their table service is a little lacking. When my fiance and I ate in the restaurant, we felt rushed to finish. We weren't even offered coffee and dessert at the end of our meal. The waitress just gave us our check and high tailed it out of there. We were eating dinner at around 8ish, and they didn't close until 10. Why the hurry? The food itself is great. The service needs to be worked on.

If it weren't for my waiter this place could easily be a four, if not a five. The food is fabulous and the lunch buffet a great value. The ambiance reminds me of a cozier East Side Mario's. If it weren't for the waiter (GRR?) it would have been a near perfect experience. Unfortunately, he was one of those guys with a feminine arrogance to the point my standard 20% was easily taken to 10 and a clear sneer for a thank you and good bye. But I am still booking my daughter's birthday party here and have high expectations for it!

One of the best Aurelio's in the chain. Consistently great pizza. I've been eating at Aurelios since the 1970's and do not see that changing. Thin crust is the best of the bunch. I'm not a big fan of the stuffed pizza. Garlic bread is very good (ask for dipping sauce). The real star here though is the Antipasto Salad, its still as good as the first time I tried it in Homewood many years ago. Highly recommend! Note: reservations only accepted for large groups.

Best thin crust pizza there is. Get a Super Six - sausage, pepperoni, ham, onion, green paper, and mushroom. That's been our favorite thin crust pizza since Joe Aurelio had his first pizza place in Homewood. Atmosphere is friendly and clean. You can call ahead and order pizza for your arrival time. And they now have glutten-free pizza.

I was introduced to Aurelio's by some coworkers and instantly liked it. I have issues with the crust though, it could be a little crispier. That aside, the sauce is light flavored, not too heavy and not too oily. The cheese is great, you can tell it's real mozza which is important. They also have a really good pizza buffet for lunch. Most times I am not a fan of any kind of buffet, but this one I absolutely like. Great choice of pizza, soup/salad, pasta dishes and great dessert selection. Aurelio's never leaves me feeling gross after eating it, like some heavy pizzas do. Give it a try.

My husband and I love it here. We always get the antipasto salad for two, it comes with incredible rolls (i'm a breadaholic lol) and really delicious salad, and then we get the sausage pizza with mild peppers. We've also had their italian food, i get spaghetti and meatballs with extra marinara, yum! Best of all, they have a dinner buffet, I think it is Mon-Thurs, call and check. This is the best idea ever, because a) you can sample all their food; b) they are right next to the Marcus Cinema and people can easily go right to the buffet and leave in time for the movie, don't have to worry about crowds or timing of food!. Our extended family all went here for the buffet during the week. We had the private room and we all got the buffet. About 30 of us. The pizza was very good. The rest of the food was average. The desserts were all less than desirable. We were over charged for the tip. They added 20% gratuity on top of the tax for terrible service .....for a buffet. It was impossible to get a drink refill. The server was not around 90% of the time. I think this place is known for having bad service and charging 20% tip automatically for small groups too. When my sister called to ask about being over charged, the owner was extremely rude and told her that she and our family were to never come back! This was out of line and totally unwarranted. What kind of restaurant treats their customers like this? This place has issues.

This place had a 5-star rating in my book until recently. Their thin crust is still to die for, and they have a great gnocchi with chicken dish. However, I recently took an out-of-town guest here for some deep dish. The crust was so tough, it was difficult to eat. The crust towered high over the sad, flat interior. The toppings were also sparse. My guest actually said, "Giordano's is better." Yikes. Also, the service has taken a dive recently. The staff rarely comes to check on you, which makes it difficult to do things like pay the bill. Oh, Aurelio's, won't you please come back to being one of my favorite places?

2 stars for the food, 4 for the service, but i can't give it 3 stars because it wasn't A-Ok. It is hard for me to give 2 stars. Look at my history, but read on. 1) ordered fried ravioli. Some pieces were hot, some were warm, some were cold. But all of them tasted like it was a frozen food dropped into the fryer. I ate it because i was hungry, but honestly, any cold cheese dish made to be eaten hot is just yucky. 2) got their deep dish pizza. it was came out looking so yummy. Took a bite and it was cool. OMG, W-T-FREAK? Is the oven broken? Worried I sent it back hoping no additional ingredients would be added. Came back, the flavor was good, but now the crust is soggy. erghhh? isn't Chicago the pride of deep dish? Word to the business: don't hurry your food. make it worth while. Maybe i should have ordered a pasta dish, but 2 out of 2 dishes coming out disappointing, I can't say much positive but... STAFF was really friendly. Did what they could, but not enough to make up for the lack of food. Thank goodness it was paid for by my company, or it would have been a waste of my money. I just sacrificed a few hundred calories. Took one for the Yelp team.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I have come for their dinner buffet (Tues-Thurs.) at least 6 times. It is nothing less than fabulous. Since we come straight from work we usually get here a few minutes before the start of the buffet at 5pm. Even at that time, the salad bar is usually all set up and they have one hot appetizer out. I usually sneak a dessert in, too. They vary the entree offerings so if you come often, you won't be bored with the food. In addition to the pasta and some sort of chicken entree, there are at least 5 or 6 different types of pizza, and a soup and a salad bar. The chopped salad on the salad bar is delicious.All the food is good. I love the dessert table because it reminds me of the dessert tables we had at family gatherings when I was growing up. Little cookies, brownies, cakes, cream puffs. I would describe the food as real, home cooked Italian food. Good job, Aurelios.

A pretty decent establishment. I've ordered here multiple times for their pizza and appetizers. The place itself is actually bigger than it looks. The indoor dining is nice, tall ceilings, typical Italian restaurant feel. They have a large outdoor patio with many tables for the spring and summer time. Their pizza is consistently good, along with the appetizers, specifically their bruschetta. We order pretty simply from here, sausage and cheese pizzas, but they're always good. The crust is crisp and crunchy, the meats are thick and flavorful. Not great, but pretty good if you're around the Addison area, or need a bite to eat while waiting for your movie to start next door at Marcus Theatre.

My name is Beth, and I endorse this lunch buffet. My co-workers and I love to come here for lunch during the week. They have everything from pizza to pasta (their alfredo really is pretty good, as is their eggplant rollatini), soup to salad, and a whole onslaught of sweet stuff too. The only drawback that I have seen is that, for a mid-week lunch, it's a bit pricey. With soda and tip, it's about 12 bucks. Guaranteed carb overload. I need a nap.

I used to work in the area and we would hit this lunch buffet when time and waistline would allow. the typical spread: -salad bar (small, but adequate) -4 types of pasta -4-5 entrees (usually meat/fish, sometimes veggies, sometimes both) 4-5 different pizzas (including stuffed and some kind of spinach calzone thingy that is absolutely wonderful) MANY DESERTS!! free drink with meal. we usually paid $10-11 bucks each including tax and tip. one time, I called in sick to work (I wasn't sick) and drove to this buffet anyway cause it's that damn good.

Will never go back to the Aurelios in Addison. Service was horrible. It took the waitress a very long time to make it to our table initially -- we should have left then. We had to wait long intervals for her to come back to the table with the drinks, check, etc. Restaurant was not very crowded. They screwed up the order and then when she brought the pizza the waitress knocked my husband's beer all over him. It took her more than 10 minutes to bring him another which she charged us for. We actually like the pizza here but this is the worst service I think I have ever had at a restaurant and no pizza is worth it.

I have only gone there for their dinner and brunch buffets (cause I'm fat like that), and they are delicious!! We are actually going there for their Easter brunch on Sunday! YUM! They have a salad bar, usually two different kinds of soup, pastas, chicken, sausage and peppers, about four different kinds of pizzas and a bunch of desserts!! I usually get only a small salad and skip the soup all together to save more room for the alfredo!! Their alfredo pasta is SOOO good!!! Everything is good really! And the desserts, they have the typical dry Italian cookies and cakes mixed with moist and delicious cheesecake bites and Rice Krispie treats! YUM!! If you love good quality buffets loaded with delicious Italian items...then head here and be prepared to unbutton your pants! **Note...after eating here on Easter Sunday, I realized that they up their brunch price from about $11.00 to $16.00 just because it was for Easter! And there was nothing new on the buffet either to make the price go up...it solely went up due to the holiday...I'm really not feeling that...so I have to dock a star!**

The pizza never disappoints at this location - always too hot to eat when it arrives at the table but you can't help digging in because it is just so tasty! My family and I have never had the buffet at lunch time (wish they would offer on the weekend or dinner time during the week!). Most visits we have very good service. My only pet peeve, and this is with every Aurelio's location I have been, is that there are not unlimited refills on drinks. I think the company is stuck back in the 20th century before refills became standard. My last visit I did notice a few little things that worried me the owners are not keeping up on maintenance - like a cracked flat screen tv - time to replace that since it has been in that condition since the time before when I ate there! Overall though, I make a 40 minute drive out to Addison to have hot fresh sit-down Aurelio's pizza at this location. My mouth is watering already! (get the thin crust with extra sauce - yum yum yum!)

They try to pull off a 1940's Italian neighborhood outdoor cafe feel , complete with gates , vines and lampposts. This is definitely not one of the trendiest places around, but at least it's not boring. There is a cool looking outdoor cafe , looked pretty nice but I never dined there. I have to say I'm not a fan of the pizza , the thin crust isn't bad , but they put too much cheese and sauce for my taste. It is alright though , I've just had better. The wife and kid on the other hand really like it , the wife even said it's the best yet in the area.What I do like ; the fried calamari (good) , the baked clams (very good) , the minestrone soup (good) , the Chicken Vesuvio (good), and the Meatball sandwich (good). There is also a lunch buffet , maybe even a dinner buffet (I'm not sure) , I never had it. I am not the biggest expert on Italian (Olive Garden is probably the Italian place I hit the most) , but this place is great for family's , they have good to very good food , friendly staff , and a Gigantic menu . If you accept the fact that it's not a place for a serious date , more of a hang out and family night out joint , I'd be surprised if you don't think this place is at least pretty good.

So from the outside this place doesn't look too interesting and it is kind of hidden, but once you eat there, you will be back for more! I have only gone there for their dinner and brunch buffets (cause I'm fat like that), and they are delicious!! We are actually going there for their Easter brunch on Sunday! YUM! They have a salad bar, usually two different kinds of soup, pastas, chicken, sausage and peppers, about four different kinds of pizzas and a bunch of desserts!! I usually get only a small salad and skip the soup all together to save more room for the alfredo!! Their alfredo pasta is SOOO good!!! Everything is good really! And the desserts, they have the typical dry Italian cookies and cakes mixed with moist and delicious cheesecake bites and Rice Krispie treats! YUM!! If you love good quality buffets loaded with delicious Italian items...then head here and be prepared to unbutton your pants! **Note...after eating here on Easter Sunday, I realized that they up their brunch price from about $11.00 to $16.00 just because it was for Easter! And there was nothing new on the buffet either to make the price go up...it solely went up due to the holiday...I'm really not feeling that...so I have to dock a star!**

Will never go back to the Aurelios in Addison. Service was horrible. It took the waitress a very long time to make it to our table initially -- we should have left then. We had to wait long intervals for her to come back to the table with the drinks, check, etc. Restaurant was not very crowded. They screwed up the order and then when she brought the pizza the waitress knocked my husband's beer all over him. It took her more than 10 minutes to bring him another which she charged us for. We actually like the pizza here but this is the worst service I think I have ever had at a restaurant and no pizza is worth it.

Food was great. However, customer service was not up to par. As my guest and I were waiting to be served, we overheard an employee (which turned out to be the owner) make a comment regarding "the two non tippers". As he nodded over our direction. We knew he was referring to us. We went on with our lunch and brought it up to the staffs attention after we paid. A simple report of a complaint turned into a debate/argument with the owner and his wife Sharon. Apparently tips are mandatory at this restaurant, otherwise prepare to have employees making side comments and not giving you preference while you are there. At least, that's what the owners made clear to us. Is that there workers deserve and earn their tips every single day. I was obviously unaware of the mandatory tip rule. But this would explain the extremely rude behavior of their staff. It's clear that in the server and serving world, tips are earned. If employees aren't offering at the least satisfactory service, a tip should not be warranted. And in my experience there several times, I may have received above and beyond service one of those times. In which a tip was warranted to the server. I will not be dining their again ever again. Food was excellent. The service was absolutely wretched.

Great authentic Chicago pizza! We ordered the Combination which had sausage, mushrooms and peppers. The establishment was clean and the server was nice. My daughter wanted the buffet but since Aurillio's considers her an adult (just turned 10 years old), it would have been $10 for her. Seriously, I think that is too young to pay full price. Most restaurants consider you a child through 12. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Everyone knows that Chicagoland is deep dish pizza land. In the last ten years or so, the demand for authentic Italian pizza from a wood burning oven has brought a lot of competition, and then there is Aurelio's Pizza, which is somewhere in between. Instead of catering to one or the other, Aurelio's makes a pizza that looks more like other pizzas in the Midwest. The difference, though, is that the pizza here tastes much much better. You can taste it in the ingredients. Aurelio's is definitely a place for families and groups. One Sunday we went out with a group of 12, and four pizzas later, everyone was full and happy with the quality of the meal. We reported a bill of $110 (including tip). The location is clean, and the service is friendly. They do have a bar with the basics on tap, and a few liquors if you want something stronger. You can also order a red or white wine. For the price I would just stick to water or pitchers of soda. The desserts are ok, and they are huge! So if you enjoy desserts, try some here. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for opening in South Loop where I now reside. In the 90's I lived a mile from the Harwood Ave restaurant which still the best. For the first week with the new ovens, the pizza was very good. The sauce was not quite as rich and zesty as the original (a bit salty) and the crust wasn't quite as buttery. That said the pizza was great. If the bar was not set so high, my comments wouldn't be nearly so specific or tough. However I'm a thin crust fan from Flossmoor and to be the best you gotta keep pushing. I'll be back in 3-4 weeks to check things out. Thx Joe

My first experience with the Aurelio's lunch buffet was at the Kankakee location. I get confused down there, so I'm not sure if it was K3/Bourbonais or Manteno. They all kind of blend into an I-57 haze for me. Anyway, I got excited when I found out that the Aurelio's in Addison, just a few minutes away from my job also has the affordable lunch buffet option. But they don't do it as well as the K3 store. They only offered 6 pizzas for selection, and two of them were duplicates. So essentially they had 4 options. And their hot entree options were limited as well. Fortunately, the pizza is still delicious and the service was stellar so I'm only going to knock a single star off this review. I feel that if you run a business under a corporate brand umbrella, your offerings from restaurant to restaurant should be equal in terms of quality and offerings. My server brought me a cute little mini-pitcher of soda so I wouldn't run out of my beverage during my meal. That was a nice touch that I haven't seen many other places. I may return out of location convenience, but if I had my druthers I would only patronize the Kankakee location.

My parents and I came here for a family dinner. The value is stellar - the giant pizza fed four of us with leftovers. I went for the everything pizza, which had a generous amount of both toppings and cheese. The only deterrent here is the services - it's mega slow. We had to flag down our waiter to place our order. This review is for the lunch buffet (every weekday!) which I've been to a couple of times. For the price this is a great deal! Each time I've been there they've had several cold salads, a few hot pasta dishes (fettuccine alfredo & spaghetti w/marinara), a baked/stuffed/rolled chicken dish (had cheese, tomato & spinach inside), grilled sausages w/peppers & onions, 5 kinds of pizza (both thin crust & pan), two kinds of soups and a whole sections of desserts (assortment of cakes, cookies & pastries). All you can eat with a soft drink & tax for under $10! Their location doesn't look like much from the outside but it's nice inside and even has outdoor patio seating. It also doesn't face Lake St. so it's easy to miss.

WOW! Awful! Rude customer service. I'm in shock. I was placed in a room last night next to a big group of people. The owner was apparently called to their table and although I don't have the specifics of what even transpired with that group, what I witnessed from the owner was completely unacceptable. The way she spoke to her customers would not be allowed in any place of business whatsoever. What I did get from the conversation was that she mistakenly seated this group of people in error, thinking it was a party that had a reservation. Doesn't sound like that was the customers fault to me but she certainly made them feel like it was THEIR fault with the way she was speaking to them. The large group said they were going to just leave as it was apparent she didn't want their business and as they all got up to leave, the owner shouted "you know what? Get out of here. I don't need you!" Oh my goodness, I was so embarrassed by this woman's behavior. I, too, would have left if I were this group. No one should be treated that way. The way the customers were spoken too would be reason enough for me to get up and leave as well. I would not return to this place of business.

I have been going here for years and their homemade gluten free pizza is the best in the area. The GF crust has more flavor than the regular pizza crust, to the point where my family (non-celiac) will order the gluten free crust instead of the regular crust. My favorite pizza is the giardinera and ricotta (but get ready for some pain). They offer a gluten free menu which includes bread, gnocchi, appetizers, desserts and beer. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Pizza is your best bet here!

I go here all the time with my family. The menu has alot of choices but you come here for the pizza enough said. I don't what it is but the sauce is very sweet and its a perfect combination with the great crust. For toppings you have to get the carmelized onions they are so so good.

On my search for the perfect pizza, Aurelio's fell a little short. It wasn't BAD, it just didn't blow my mind. The pepperoni and sausage were both really good. The cheese was really fresh too. I just think that the execution of all the ingredients together is what didn't do it for me. The crust was decent...it could have used a little more flavor or crisp to make it awesome, the sauce was really sweet, and the cheese was kind of plain, so when you throw it all together, it was just okay. We also got the pizza bread and the bruschetta, and neither were that great. The "bruschetta" had good bread and oil, but the tomato, celery (what the hell is celery doing on bruschetta?!?), and melted mozz topping was just no good. Meh.

In our continuing efforts to try every pizza place within a 5-mile radius of home, we went with some take-out from Aurelio's. My husband arrived home with a large cheese thin-crust that was a little cool in one corner and had that "cheese has just started to get cold" look about it. (This cannot be blamed on Aurelio's, but rather, Lake St traffic.) And yet it was one of the more delicious thin crusts I have had in recent memory. The crust was crispy around the edges and had a great flavor; the sauce, while just a hair on the sweet side, had plenty of savory to it; and the cheese was delicious, plentiful, and actually broke when you bit into it. (It is a minor pet peeve of mine when you take a bite of pizza and all of the cheese comes with it.) The rest of their menu is large and varied, and I'd like to dine in or at least try an appetizer or two, but honestly, it will be hard to resist the pizza, which is currently up there with Home Run Inn as my favorite thin crust in the area. ===================== 11/1/10: We've now eaten in and tried a few different things. The atmosphere is sort of odd, a mash-up of Chicago history, random old ads, and red-and-white checked stuff. We started with their focaccia appetizer, which was different and delightful -- crispy bread stuffed with cheese and basil and served with a sweet, thick sauce for dipping. We moved on to a stuffed cheese pizza, which probably wouldn't be my first choice again, if only because there wasn't much sauce on it and the top crust got lost and turned into kind of a mess. It was good overall, and I definitely appreciated the "handle" part of the crust, which had a nice light crispiness to it and wasn't overly bready or thick. But I wonder if their version of deep dish has more/chunkier sauce. I'd certainly be willing to eat it again, and try more of their menu, but as far as I'm concerned their thin crust is where it's at.

My "usual" pizza joint closed and in my great search for a pizza joint in my area, I found an Aurelio's. I was super exciting to order from an Aurelio's (a Southside favorite) from a joint on the North-ish-side!! I ordered my usual an 18" thin sausage-pepperoni and an order of tomato bread. MAANNN I was disappointed! I thought about putting them on my "list of bad places", but alas I decided to order my usual from the joint, again. Success!! The first time, the pizza was soggy and very unappetizing however, the second was crispy, done to perfection and AWESOME!! The tomato bread (my fave), on the first order, had chopped tomatoes and tasted just plain yucky. Did they forget the garlic??? The second order of tomato bread was great!! sliced tomatoes and great cheesy garlicy taste...YUM. I would've given it 5 stars, but there was no marinera sauce with the tomato bread...booooo. I think I found my delivery-pizza joint!

It is located right around the corner and faces the Marcus movie theaters. There is plenty of parking near their entrance and they have a terrace for outdoor seating. The front entrance is a little small but there is never a wait. I've been there a few times for lunch buffet and dinner. The lunch buffet is a great deal since you don't have to wait and you can get in and out of there pretty quickly. They have a full salad bar with some cold pasta items and then mostly hot pasta specialties. Each of the pastas are different with varying sauces so vegetarians or meaty or cheese preferences are satisfied. There's also a chicken dish and sometimes Italian sausage. The pizzas are in the back and they have their good thin crust with a deep dish specialty added in. There are a couple of soups and a whole table full of desserts. The standard American desserts along with their Italian homemade ones are there for any type of sweet tooth. The prices are good value. They have a pretty vast menu so there's always good reason to go back!

This is my go to restaurant for gluten-free pizza. I love getting their Hawaiian pizza and their Baked Potato pizza. My fiance and I also like their antipasto salad. They also can make fresh meatballs for their pasta per request. Just be willing to wait a little longer for fresh meatballs. if I were to rate only their carryout service, they would get a five. Unfortunately, their table service is a little lacking. When my fiance and I ate in the restaurant, we felt rushed to finish. We weren't even offered coffee and dessert at the end of our meal. The waitress just gave us our check and high tailed it out of there. We were eating dinner at around 8ish, and they didn't close until 10. Why the hurry? The food itself is great. The service needs to be worked on.

If it weren't for my waiter this place could easily be a four, if not a five. The food is fabulous and the lunch buffet a great value. The ambiance reminds me of a cozier East Side Mario's. If it weren't for the waiter (GRR?) it would have been a near perfect experience. Unfortunately, he was one of those guys with a feminine arrogance to the point my standard 20% was easily taken to 10 and a clear sneer for a thank you and good bye. But I am still booking my daughter's birthday party here and have high expectations for it!

One of the best Aurelio's in the chain. Consistently great pizza. I've been eating at Aurelios since the 1970's and do not see that changing. Thin crust is the best of the bunch. I'm not a big fan of the stuffed pizza. Garlic bread is very good (ask for dipping sauce). The real star here though is the Antipasto Salad, its still as good as the first time I tried it in Homewood many years ago. Highly recommend! Note: reservations only accepted for large groups.

Best thin crust pizza there is. Get a Super Six - sausage, pepperoni, ham, onion, green paper, and mushroom. That's been our favorite thin crust pizza since Joe Aurelio had his first pizza place in Homewood. Atmosphere is friendly and clean. You can call ahead and order pizza for your arrival time. And they now have glutten-free pizza.

1st off, the Yelp map (as of 4/18/11) shows the wrong location. Aurelio's is in the building just east of the movie theatre. Not much else to add to the other reviews...went in hungry for the lunch buffet and left in a little bit of pain. The food is so good! I was introduced to Aurelio's by some coworkers and instantly liked it. I have issues with the crust though, it could be a little crispier. That aside, the sauce is light flavored, not too heavy and not too oily. The cheese is great, you can tell it's real mozza which is important. They also have a really good pizza buffet for lunch. Most times I am not a fan of any kind of buffet, but this one I absolutely like. Great choice of pizza, soup/salad, pasta dishes and great dessert selection. Aurelio's never leaves me feeling gross after eating it, like some heavy pizzas do. Give it a try.

My husband and I love it here. We always get the antipasto salad for two, it comes with incredible rolls (i'm a breadaholic lol) and really delicious salad, and then we get the sausage pizza with mild peppers. We've also had their italian food, i get spaghetti and meatballs with extra marinara, yum! Best of all, they have a dinner buffet, I think it is Mon-Thurs, call and check. This is the best idea ever, because a) you can sample all their food; b) they are right next to the Marcus Cinema and people can easily go right to the buffet and leave in time for the movie, don't have to worry about crowds or timing of food!. My name is Beth, and I endorse this lunch buffet. My co-workers and I love to come here for lunch during the week. They have everything from pizza to pasta (their alfredo really is pretty good, as is their eggplant rollatini), soup to salad, and a whole onslaught of sweet stuff too. The only drawback that I have seen is that, for a mid-week lunch, it's a bit pricey. With soda and tip, it's about 12 bucks. Guaranteed carb overload. I need a nap.

I have to give Aurelio's in Addison 5 Stars. We just went there after the show and had another excellent meal!! I asked if they had "marshmellow vodka" . No, but they had marshmellow syrup. Had a marshmellow martini. Well, you haven't lived. Ha! Comes with 4 teenie-tiny marshmellow as a garnish. Cute! We had a stuffed artichoke appetizer for the first time. It had a delicious lemon seasoning and, I think, they use Panko breadcrumbs because the stuffing was crispy-good. Had their largest thin crust spinach/sausage pizza because we like to have plenty of leftovers. It'snot just spinach on a pie. It's a special marinated recipe that's to die for. The service was excellent. We went early -- like 5:30 or so. Our server was very attentive...the bussers cleared our plates in the heartbeat...asked if we'd like refills promptly. I was really pleasantly surprised with the service because it was top notch. We ate inside, but they have a beautiful terrace out back. Their pizza is delicious!

As a buffet, and I don't mean this is a demeaning way, this is the best food I've had,( accept for maybe Home Run Pizza Buffet ;) But 90% of everything offered on their Buffet is excellent from the Lemon chicken to the Fettuccine Alfredo to the Deep Dish pizza and the steamed vegetables. The service is pretty good (I mean their speedy with drink refills) and for the most part their very friendly! I should order off their menu at some point but for my hour lunch limitation, their buffet is very convenient and their prices are commensurate to the food quality. I just wish a location was closer to work! Definitely wish I didn't have to consider calories when eating here because everything is very rich and scrumptious lol

My family and I LOVE this place. Spinach thin crust with extra sauce is my personal favorite. I could eat it every day and not tire of it. We go pretty often to the Wednesday or Thursday night buffets. We have gone there so much, that the minute we walk in the door, the host/hostess always says "three for buffet?" :) They remember us, which is nice, because you feel like a part of the big Italian family when dining there. We tend to get Vito, or the guy who looks like his twin, as our waiter. My only problem is that while my husband and son love the buffet, I feel that most of the time the pizza seems like it has been sitting out on the warmers for a long time, and doesn't taste as fantastic as ordering a fresh pizza. I think we're due for a buffet night...it's been WAY too long (about a month!)

We love Aurelio's. The thin crust pizza is luscious. The crust is thin, but kind of yeasty and fluffy, too. Excellent crust. I love their marinara - really tomatoey and not oily. Sausage is good. Real, fresh mushrooms and fresh spinach, too. Check out the buffet on weeknights - such a deal and quite tasty. Last time we had an awesome spinach salad - just delicious. They have a lovely outdoor area for the warm seasons - it has a central fireplace, trees, and lots of tables. They make a mean mojito, too.

2 stars for the food, 4 for the service, but i can't give it 3 stars because it wasn't A-Ok. It is hard for me to give 2 stars. Look at my history, but read on. 1) ordered fried ravioli. Some pieces were hot, some were warm, some were cold. But all of them tasted like it was a frozen food dropped into the fryer. I ate it because i was hungry, but honestly, any cold cheese dish made to be eaten hot is just yucky. 2) got their deep dish pizza. it was came out looking so yummy. Took a bite and it was cool. OMG, W-T-FREAK? Is the oven broken? Worried I sent it back hoping no additional ingredients would be added. Came back, the flavor was good, but now the crust is soggy. erghhh? isn't Chicago the pride of deep dish? Word to the business: don't hurry your food. make it worth while. Maybe i should have ordered a pasta dish, but 2 out of 2 dishes coming out disappointing, I can't say much positive but... STAFF was really friendly. Did what they could, but not enough to make up for the lack of food. Thank goodness it was paid for by my company, or it would have been a waste of my money. I just sacrificed a few hundred calories. Took one for the Yelp team.

Pizza was really good. Service is very friendly. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and the noise level was crazy loud. Don't go here for a romantic meal...just go for the great pizza! I'll go back.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I have come for their dinner buffet (Tues-Thurs.) at least 6 times. It is nothing less than fabulous. Since we come straight from work we usually get here a few minutes before the start of the buffet at 5pm. Even at that time, the salad bar is usually all set up and they have one hot appetizer out. I usually sneak a dessert in, too. They vary the entree offerings so if you come often, you won't be bored with the food. In addition to the pasta and some sort of chicken entree, there are at least 5 or 6 different types of pizza, and a soup and a salad bar. The chopped salad on the salad bar is delicious.All the food is good. I love the dessert table because it reminds me of the dessert tables we had at family gatherings when I was growing up. Little cookies, brownies, cakes, cream puffs. I would describe the food as real, home cooked Italian food. Good job, Aurelios.

A pretty decent establishment. I've ordered here multiple times for their pizza and appetizers. The place itself is actually bigger than it looks. The indoor dining is nice, tall ceilings, typical Italian restaurant feel. They have a large outdoor patio with many tables for the spring and summer time. Their pizza is consistently good, along with the appetizers, specifically their bruschetta. We order pretty simply from here, sausage and cheese pizzas, but they're always good. The crust is crisp and crunchy, the meats are thick and flavorful. Not great, but pretty good if you're around the Addison area, or need a bite to eat while waiting for your movie to start next door at Marcus Theatre.

WEEKDAY LUNCH BUFFET I dream about it sometimes... I used to work in the area and we would hit this lunch buffet when time and waistline would allow. the typical spread: -salad bar (small, but adequate) -4 types of pasta -4-5 entrees (usually meat/fish, sometimes veggies, sometimes both) 4-5 different pizzas (including stuffed and some kind of spinach calzone thingy that is absolutely wonderful) MANY DESERTS!! free drink with meal. we usually paid $10-11 bucks each including tax and tip. one time, I called in sick to work (I wasn't sick) and drove to this buffet anyway cause it's that damn good.

Will never go back to the Aurelios in Addison. Service was horrible. It took the waitress a very long time to make it to our table initially -- we should have left then. We had to wait long intervals for her to come back to the table with the drinks, check, etc. Restaurant was not very crowded. They screwed up the order and then when she brought the pizza the waitress knocked my husband's beer all over him. It took her more than 10 minutes to bring him another which she charged us for. We actually like the pizza here but this is the worst service I think I have ever had at a restaurant and no pizza is worth it.

The service here has gotten incredibly bad. It takes about tow HOURS to get a pizza and salad here...I still think the pizza is great and I love the salad but the service is just downright almost non-existent and rude. Doesn't work.

Great pizza and great service. My husband and I order from Aurelio's all the time. We never ate anything else besides the pizza from the restaurant so I can't comment on how great their food is but if you like pizza you really got to try this place.

So from the outside this place doesn't look too interesting and it is kind of hidden, but once you eat there, you will be back for more! I have only gone there for their dinner and brunch buffets (cause I'm fat like that), and they are delicious!! We are actually going there for their Easter brunch on Sunday! YUM! They have a salad bar, usually two different kinds of soup, pastas, chicken, sausage and peppers, about four different kinds of pizzas and a bunch of desserts!! I usually get only a small salad and skip the soup all together to save more room for the alfredo!! Their alfredo pasta is SOOO good!!! Everything is good really! And the desserts, they have the typical dry Italian cookies and cakes mixed with moist and delicious cheesecake bites and Rice Krispie treats! YUM!! If you love good quality buffets loaded with delicious Italian items...then head here and be prepared to unbutton your pants! **Note...after eating here on Easter Sunday, I realized that they up their brunch price from about $11.00 to $16.00 just because it was for Easter! And there was nothing new on the buffet either to make the price go up...it solely went up due to the holiday...I'm really not feeling that...so I have to dock a star!**

Great Aurelio's pizza with a bit of ambiance! The pizza never disappoints at this location - always too hot to eat when it arrives at the table but you can't help digging in because it is just so tasty! My family and I have never had the buffet at lunch time (wish they would offer on the weekend or dinner time during the week!). Most visits we have very good service. My only pet peeve, and this is with every Aurelio's location I have been, is that there are not unlimited refills on drinks. I think the company is stuck back in the 20th century before refills became standard. My last visit I did notice a few little things that worried me the owners are not keeping up on maintenance - like a cracked flat screen tv - time to replace that since it has been in that condition since the time before when I ate there! Overall though, I make a 40 minute drive out to Addison to have hot fresh sit-down Aurelio's pizza at this location. My mouth is watering already! (get the thin crust with extra sauce - yum yum yum!)

I didn't think much of this place when passed by the outside of it. It's in a strip mall and does little to draw attention to itself. I even stopped in to get carry out here first , and didn't see how cool this place was. Once I stepped fully inside , It's charmingly cheesy decor hit me full force. They try to pull off a 1940's Italian neighborhood outdoor cafe feel , complete with gates , vines and lampposts. This is definitely not one of the trendiest places around, but at least it's not boring. There is a cool looking outdoor cafe , looked pretty nice but I never dined there. I have to say I'm not a fan of the pizza , the thin crust isn't bad , but they put too much cheese and sauce for my taste. It is alright though , I've just had better. The wife and kid on the other hand really like it , the wife even said it's the best yet in the area.What I do like ; the fried calamari (good) , the baked clams (very good) , the minestrone soup (good) , the Chicken Vesuvio (good), and the Meatball sandwich (good). There is also a lunch buffet , maybe even a dinner buffet (I'm not sure) , I never had it. I am not the biggest expert on Italian (Olive Garden is probably the Italian place I hit the most) , but this place is great for family's , they have good to very good food , friendly staff , and a Gigantic menu . If you accept the fact that it's not a place for a serious date , more of a hang out and family night out joint , I'd be surprised if you don't think this place is at least pretty good.
