Excellent food and preparation from starters to dessert. Red cabbage served with pork cutlet was perfection. Mamie's service was attentive and delightful. Oh, and oyster starter was outstanding

I've lived in Jackson for 7 years and finally made it over to Spoons! The food, service and atmosphere were great! Looking forward to coming back for another great meal!

Went to Spoons after hearing how great their burger was but they were out of the burger. Hard to believe but must be great....I wouldn't know. But , I did get the special which was scallops pan fried over risotto which was amazing. Best risotto I've had out( besides mine:)). Nice bite ,not too hard , just right with a little creamy sauce left on the plate. Chef/ owner says he adds a little cheese to make it not get all absorbed into the rice. Fabulous! I also had Spicy Tuna Tartar which was nice and fresh but needed a salty cracker or something to eat it with. Especially since what I thought was avocado coulis on the plate was actually wasabi. My bad. Also, I was told they were full and had to sit at the bar. Tables were empty and I could've sat at a table and have been more comfy. People were very nice though but that's why I didn't give it full stars.

Deceptively rustic on the outside, the colorful interior and delectable food (I understand why the chefs are strongly secretive of their recipes) makes Spoons Bistro a hidden jewel of Victor, Idaho.

Excellent restaurant ...! I'd have to concur with the other reviews about this place ... especially the trout ... exquisite!!! This is not just the best food in Victor, but I'm from Chicago and I'd have to say it's one of the best dinners I've ever had. Very friendly waitress and owner/chef. Nice wine pairings and tasty desert too.

By far one of my favorite restaurants in Teton Valley now! My husband & I totally enjoyed a 5 course meal there recently. We started off with a great bottle of Oregon Pinot and couldn't resist not ordering the tuna tartar to share...and it was awesome. I had the beet salad with apple, gorgonzola with a bacon/walnut vinegarett and it was incredible. My husband had the french onion soup and it was one of the best he's ever had. For dinner I had the Trout and my husband ordered the Pork Schnitzel and we literally licked ALL our plates clean. We couldn't even imagine ordering anything else but we made the mistake of listening to the dessert menu. We loved the coffee creme burlee!!! The chief/owner Travis actually came out and introduced himself to us which was so nice and he explained his whole farm-to-table philosophy. Our waitress Genny was so nice & personable. We can't wait to come back and check out the rest of the menu :)

Spoons was the perfect ending to a grand Valentine's Day. We were warmly greeting by Nicole and staff. The ambiance was warm and cozy. The food was stupendous; from the starters through desert. Travis came out and checked that everything was done perfectly. We've found an amazing place to visit when we make it back to the Teton Valley.

My wife and I were headed back to Driggs after a day in Grand Teton National Park. She really wanted trout and when we searched places on Yelp, Spoons reviewers mentioned how great the trout was. The trout was great, but so was everything else. We sat at the small bar because the tables were all full and had a blast just talking to the staff as we ate and drank. Abby and Mamie (sp?) were beyond welcoming to two out-of-towners. Along with our drinks (HUB White IPA for me, rose for my wife), we started with the fried artichoke app. Amazing. Then, we ordered the trout and the spaghetti of zucchini to split evenly. I can't say which one was better. They both had so much flavor. The fish itself was fantastic, but so was the bed of veggies it was served on. And the spaghetti came with a sauce reminiscent of a great tomato bisque. We couldn't pass up dessert and ordered the key lime pie and a chocolate flourless cake that were both delicious. The key lime pie was super creamy and tangy and the cake basically melts in your mouth. If you are in or near the Victor area, do yourself a favor and enjoy a really great meal here.

Let me start by saying that I travel weekly for work, so I experience a lot of different food nationwide. This is HANDS DOWN THE BEST MEAL OF MY LIFE!!!!! I also follow a Paleo diet which makes it event harder to find a good/incredible meal. The owner was our waitress and extremely helpful! I couldn't decide between the chicken or zucchini spaghetti, she suggested both and created a meal just for me! Service, atmosphere, and food are beyond amazing! This is a MUST eat at in Victor! I am so sad they don't have another location here in Des Moines! I absolutely loved this place!

My husband and I were on our way back to Jackson after a day of fishing on the South Fork of the Snake River. Tired and hungry, and not exactly dressed for fine dining, we searched on Yelp for a nice place near Victor, and we certainly found it. We were graciously received, asked if we wanted to sit inside or out, and settled into a charming table for two. While it was true that on that Tuesday evening, July 1st they were out of their calamari appetizer special and the roman artichokes I was hoping to try, the waitstaff suggested the spicy tuna tartare, which was excellent, and cold asparagus to start. We then had a wonderful Idaho trout, beautifully prepared. A very generous glass of while wine was poured, which I like to see at a restaurant which is ambitious. The chef had worked in Key West, so the key lime pie was highly recommended, but we were pretty full, and very happy with the meal.

I've now been here twice and I live in Utah. Amazing food! I hate fish and the trout was awesome!! Also their key lime pie is to die for. I've had legit key lime pie from the "world famous" key lime pie in key west Florida and this stuff is better. Expect to pay $8-12 on starters and salads, 20 on entrees and 7 on dessert. A little pricey for an everyday dinner but totally worth it!!

Great food ... great atmosphere in this 200 year old railway station. Easy to wind down at the end of the day, in a casual environment with the best of wine, dining and people! Try the fried artichokes ... and save room for key lime pie if you are lucky enough to have it on the menu that night.

I found them by accident, and I am glad I did! The perfecter place to enjoy "Music on Main" in the summer.

This is a GEM in this tiny Idaho town. The owner is also the Chef and served our food (we went on 4th of July when it was a quiet evening). I have NEVER had a better dining experience, and in my line of work I go to quite a lot of fine dining restaurants. The food itself would be worth a trip, farm to table, cooked with molecular gastronomy touches and every bite beautifully flavored without being too rich or heavy. The portions were perfect, we left feeling full but not uncomfortable, and the conversation was intellectually stimulating and varied. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone within a 20 mile vicinity to make the trip (reservations recommended)

What a great find in Victor. As mentioned in other reviews, the beet salad is decadent for a totally healthy dish. I would have it for a light meal. Also had the trout. Lots of restaurants do trout but this is not only great but the veggies underneath were excellent and NOT out of a can! I'll be back again soon.

We just had an absolutely lovely meal. I had a vegetarian dish and my husband had trout, both delicious. Nice waitress, chef came out to say hello and they totally accommodated my food allergies. I am a picky eater from san Francisco, and I say this place is a definite if you are in the Teton valley area. Get the lemon meringue pie!

Deee-lish!!! I enjoyed every part of my visit there, from the ambiance to the staff to the food. I had the beet salad to start, and it was presented in such a creative way ... the beets were thinly sliced and stacked with herbed goat cheese foam, and presented to look like some sort of seashell/clam. Beautiful, creative, and delicious. For my main course, I had the grilled cheese, which was seriously the best grilled cheese sammy I've ever had. First of all, it has bacon and avocado, and what's not to like about that? It was prepared to perfection, with an awesome--dare I say sublime--crispy, buttery toastiness on the outside of the bread (which came from a local breadmaker -- yum yum!). It came with french fries, which were fantastic too. I look forward to eating there again next time I'm in that neck of the woods. Thanks for a great meal!

My husband and I were on vacation in the small, rural town of Victor, ID. The day before, I had asked the resort clerk for restaurant suggestions and Spoons Bistro was one of two recommended. (Wildlife Brewing and Pizza was the other--refer to review). Spoons Bistro is a small restaurant with seating both inside and on the front patio. The weather was perfect and the sun was slowly setting over the Teton mountain range, so we opted for the patio. It was so peaceful and beautiful that it had a romantic feel in the air. My husband ordered the seared Idaho trout (Rainbow trout with oven roasted fingerling potatoes, sauteed greens and mushroom sherry cream sauce. It was absolutely delicious. The trout was perfectly cooked and seasoned properly. I ordered the "2 a.m. Thanksgiving dinner" (oven-roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, haricots verts, and sage gravy served over 460 degree stuffing bread.) Basically it was an open-faced turkey sandwich on steroids. It was fantastic and the stuffing was insane. Upon taking one bite of each dish, we instantly realized that this was all homemade food from a chef who is passionate about food. Since dinner was so amazing, we opted for the almond creme brulee. Now, I must say, I am a bit of a creme brulee snob. I like it to have smooth, silky texture with good flavor and the absence of egg taste. I was not disappointed. It was excellent and the almond was the star of the show. Two dinners and one shared dessert: $55. Great setting, excellent food, and a romantic night watching the sun set with my ol' man: Priceless! If you are ever in Victor, ID, swing by. It's a "do-over!"

Spoons was great, we walked in were greeted and seated quickly although the dining area is small so a reservation might be good to avoid a wait. We split two dishes (salmon and trout entrées) both of which were great, as well as a caprese salad for an appetizer. All the food was phenomenal, and the service was prompt and friendly. The owner/chef checked up on us while we were eating and once we were done. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend to my friends.

Fried artichoke app was incredible! 16year old son loved the sliders and shoestring potatoes app! My trout entree was perfection, my husband has requested the 2am thanksgiving dinner as his last meal. son really liked the club sandwich....this was as near a perfect meal as it gets and we are picky foodies! Kudos to you all, wonderful meal we will remember for a long time....the kind that makes you recall:remember when we had that...at Spoons?

Absolutely love spoons! Friendly staff and a variety of delicious food. Breakfast in January was incredible especially when you add a passionfruit mimosa! I strongly recommend trying the tuna tartar appetizer and the new polenta entree was divine! There's nothing better than great food, comfortable atmosphere and supporting the locals! Stop on by spoons, you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant absolutely exceeded all expectations, from the service to the food to the ambiance. We called in to see if we could get a reservation 15 minutes before their closing time, and they were more than happy to accomodate us. The husband and wife team running this restaurant are hitting on all cylinders, and work very hard to make the dining experience an elevated one. We were in town for the week, and I don't know if there is a better restaurant in the Teton Valley. We had the fried pickle appetizer, and various diners had the trout, the steak, and pork. All of them were fantastic, so good that there was very little sharing going on. The fried grits with the pork were outstanding, as was the vegetables that came with the other entrees. One of the other great things about Spoons are the prices. Almost everything is under $20, and we walked away feeling that we got a great deal. Make sure to save room for dessert, as they were as good as the entrees. We had the peanut butter chocolate pie and the creme brulee, and both were outstanding. The other great thing about this place was the wine list, which had a nice selection and very reasonable prices. Overall, we were delighted to find this place, and would highly recommend Spoons to anyone in the Teton Valley who is looking to find an excellent dining experience in a great environment.

Went to Spoons for dinner while visiting the Jackson Hole area, on a cross country trip from San Francisco to New York City. My fiance and I were searching for great regional cuisine and found it here at spoons. On the menu that night were: Fried artichokes, beet salad w/ goat cheese foam, elk medallions and key lime pie for desert. All the food was authentic, delicious and continued to get better as the night went on. Ambience was great as we watched the sunset on the back porch with a sweet selection of music (Phoenix - Postal Service). Received a great big-city restaurant experience in a casual environment. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to take it up a notch without putting on airs while in the Teton Valley area.
