Went in on a Wednesday late afternoon... You could tell the usual's were sitting at the bar... But that's exactly what you should expect at a small town bar/restaurant... Everyone was friendly and the service was great. I had the Yukon Burger... REALLY REALLY good... Messy.. BUTT good messy!! I will Definitely be going back!!

I had lunch here with a coworker, I had a pastrami burger and fries.the fries were hot, crispy and not greasy but had a batter like coating on them which was OK, but i prefer plain fries. The fries were served with a bit of mayo like looking stuff that I was told was fry sauce when I asked what it was. I guess that I really didn't know what to expect a pastrami burger to be and after eating one I am still not sure what a pastrami burger is?? The burger I got was served on focaccia bread which was ok, but again I tend to be more of a traditional burger kinda a guy. Best I can tell it was a burger topped with pastrami, all in all it was ok but I would give the burger higher marks it it was hotter and had a better hamburger taste. It was all just kinda bland. Contrary to others reviews, our server was very prompt and attentive so no complaints on that aspect of the lunch. I think Sully's deserves less than 3 stars and maybe more than 2 because of the fries and service.

What a nice place in Star. Sully's has a really nice ambiance, great service and good food. A perfect place to stop when you are in the area. Try the fries, I think they are some of the best fries I have ever had. I come here occasionally and meet a friend who lives in Star. It is our go to place.

My new favorite place! The calamari is incredible! Everything I've had so far has been perfect. The bartenders super friendly. Great place to hang out!

This place has the right idea and a decent atmo but the vibe in this place sucks. Someone needs to teach these gals how to make better tips... ie be more FRIENDLY. Instead, they huddle up like a bunch of hens gossiping about the barnyard rooster. It might not hurt to put a man on staff so these ladies have someone's balls to break and to boss around

Great food and a very family friendly environment. The patio is great for little kids and I don't need to worry about them getting in anyone's way.

I have been to Sully's a few times. Waitresses are always friendly, and service is descent. It can get crowded , and pretty noisy, so not a place for a quiet drink. The food is pretty good as well. Their sandwiches are good, and I really like the clam chowder. They have good selection of food, including some healthier options.

Nice neighborhood hangout and good beer selection. Food is good but basic fare with a few Irish twists. Nice back patio for enjoying the summer weather.

A small town pub. It's Star, Idaho people....what do you expect? If you want fancy, 5 star service, mint on the pillow type service, then go to LA or NY. We moved here a month ago. We met friends for dinner. It was crowded, but what else is there to do in Star? Hang out at Subway...I think not! It was loud but what place isn't when you add alcohol and sports! The inside service was great, outside, not so much. We had the fish and chips! Right up there with some of the yummiest I've had. We had their chocolate peanut butter cheesecake for dessert. Highly recommend. It's a small town, hole in the wall, bland atmosphere place that serves alcohol with good food. Don't expect more, cause you ain't gettin' it! If you know that going in, you'll enjoy yourself.

Met a friend for some drinks and conversations at Sully's. I ordered a 24 oz hard cider and my friend order a double rum and coke. Great service and pleasantly surprised at the price. During happy hour 4-6 M-F I received $1 off my cider making my total $5. I will be back.

Sully's is a great place to kick back, have a few drinks and enjoy some tasty food. Nothing super fancy here, just a typical bar/pub menu but I think the quality of their food is well above average compared to other joints of this nature. They offer Halibut for their fish and chips and buffalo burgers which I think is a very nice touch. One thing that I really appreciate about Sully's is how consistently clean it is. The staff is very friendly and are very good at what they do. The fenced-in patio is fantastic and complete with a large, flat screen TV, ceiling fans and two horseshoe pits. You can even bring your dog as long as he/she is leashed. Overall a very welcoming place to come relax and enjoy yourself. Update: They really more bar seating inside.

Not from around here? Prepare to feel unwelcome. Poor service and weak drinks. I wouldn't recommend it.

Very good service. Great food, fun environment. Everything was great during my visit. Treated like a valued customer. Really enjoyed hanging out and having a cold beer after my meal.

Prepare to be ignored or at the very least wait 30 minutes for THE SPECIAL. And don't sit at the bar if u don't want to observe the drama between the back, front and bar.

Spur of the moment decision to try Sully's - early on a Saturday night. There were a few empty tables in the bar and a few on the enclosed patio. We seated ourselves and were quickly attended to by our waitress. The four of us ordered drinks and our meals. A few more tables filled up and we were pretty much unimpressed by the ambiance of the place. We noticed that a few tables that ordered after us had been served their food and we inquired as to where was our order. The waitress informed us that half was "up in the window" and we would be served when everything was up. Obviously my sandwich was one that had been "up in the window" because the first bite was cold. Too bad, as the sandwich was tasty, but cold. The consensus was that the food was okay...not great, not good...okay. Who wants to go out for okay? The service...okay. The ambiance....for me, a little less than okay. Hard chairs, tables that look they were made in shop class and a few Irish things on the wall (BTW where were the Irish foods? One banger does not make an Irish pub). We won't be returning as there are plenty of mediocre restaurants without the drive!

We first went last year and the food was so so and service was horrible. Fast forward to last week and we were out riding and thought we try it one more time. Walked in and there were a few tables sitting down. We sat at the bar thought it would be quicker sitting at a table. Bartender was apparently to busy to acknowledge us, after 10 minutes finally came over and asked what we would like.we said menus would be good. Finally took our order and 40 minutes later our burgers showed up. Place was dirty. Can't understand why this place is still open. Servers need trained and understand that there job is. Will never go back.

I went to Sully's for the first time tonight and was blown away! We checked out the online menu before leaving the house so we could order some food to-go before leaving. The place was packed! There were two of us (one underage) so we had to stand and wait for a table for a little while instead of grabbing an open seat at the bar. The bartender served us while we waited though - Guinness for me, Coke for my brother. After we were seated, we ordered immediately. The food took a while, but we were entertained with March Madness on every TV in the room. Once the food arrived though, oh wow! I had the Reuben sandwich. Very, very good! You can upgrade to onion rings for a buck, which I did. If you have the onion rings, I would recommend requesting a side of the tangy bbq sauce to dip them in because that was a heavenly combo. I only had room for half of the sandwich, but brought the other half home for tomorrow's lunch. My brother had the chicken basket with fries. I had one of his pieces of chicken and some fries and they were certainly some of the best chicken tenders I'd ever had. He also could not eat all of the food he was given and had to grab a box too. We placed the order for our to-go finger steak basket and pastrami and Swiss sandwich when we first received our food at the table. By the time we had finished, the food was delivered and ready to go. My parents really enjoyed the finger steaks and sandwich even out of a box (and without beer!). Each time I visit Star, I hope to come back to this place. It's about time Star had a decent dining establishment, and Sully's definitely soared well above that decent mark and is up there with some of the best in the Treasure Valley.

I expected more, but I got less. Food was average at best and so was the service. I went two different time, sat inside on one visit (way too loud, terrible acoustics) sat outside on the other (patio was nice, but service was marginal). I have encouraged work lunch meetings to go to other locations.

Since I have a hard time starting with these reviews some time we will start with the service. While they did have a sign posted that said to check in for service on the very nice patio, they were with us in good time with some quite delectable specials. The food was very good, including the sirloin with grilled onions, mushrooms, and melted blue cheese. However the highlight of the meal was the outstanding hot wings we had. This was no Frank's red hot poured on some microwaved chicken wings. This was was some serious homemade sauce smothered on delicious tender wings. I'm actually sad that I will not be able to get wings this good back in Portland because...damn.

I love the food here, but the service is terrible.....even when its not busy. Have gone day times and night times and its so slow......seriously. I love taking relatives here and it is only 5 miles from our house, but last time we came for lunch we waited 20 minutes after telling the server we were there and still not even a menu or water.....we ended up going to the Willow Creek Grill in Eagle instead and spent 300.00. I love Sully's so I wish they could fix this situation...seems if you can pay a server 3.35 an hour....you might think about selling.................

A big group of us (20+) went out to breakfast during a family reunion (we called ahead), so I'm taking that into consideration with my review, though I really did want to give them 4 stars instead of 3. I'm saying, like, 3.5. Their breakfast menu was simple---about 5 different dishes including salmon eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and what I ordered, the cinnamon french toast: a cinnamon roll sliced and battered and cooked and a fruit compote on top. It was delicious. Slightly slightly too cool, like it had been sitting in the window. Which, like I said, is understandable since there was a huge group of us. Their house coffee was really good, too. Service was good, nice and friendly. The biggest negative thing I noticed was the acoustics. We're kind of a loud family, but that place is built to echo. There's a cut out in the ceiling that doesn't help and might hurt. The look of the place is cool, though. I would definitely go here again if I was in the area. The patio is huge and it seems like a great summertime place.

I liked the salmon, cooked perfectly to a light glaze. Try the Calamari appetizer. Had the halibut and chips. Very fresh tasting. Some decent microbrews too.

Great for a low key relaxing time. The prime rib sandwich was out of this world. (Saturdays they have prime rib & then Sunday they make Yummy sandwiches.) Swiss cheese, sauteed onions & good bread. Delicious!! The Fingersteaks were Awesome. Big juicy chunks of meat. They put a little horseradish in the sauce. Pretty casual environment. Very family friendly. The outside has grass area, picnic tables, horseshoes. Super comfortable. Service good.
