This is probably the best Subway around. The sandwich ingredients are always fresh and the service is great too! They keep it very clean inside too.

"Mick's Homecooking"... Complete false advertising by the name. Most of the dinner items ordered were very obviously prepackaged/frozen/store-bought. Such a disappointment. Laziest "cooking" I've seen in a restaurant in a very very long time. Prices were cheap, thank goodness. That being said, a better choice for the money would still be the Arctic Circle right up the street. Thought it was hilarious that an employee was in his pjs while working. Fail.
I love the Thursday deal with burgers, beer battered fries, drink, and a piece of heavenly cream pie. I love the food and service is great. Mick's is one of my favorite lunch stops and is worth the 10 mile drive.
Not many places should receive 5 stars. Mick's delivers constancy and a great value. The food is very good for pennies on the dollar. Don't let the shady building and scary insides fool you. Some of the best places I have eaten look scary. If you all in to ambiance, then I hate you, your never going to like this place. Go on Thursday to take advantage of the double cheeseburger, fries, drink, and pie. It's a billion calories of ecstasy. The buns are made in house (coined best buns on town) along with the fresh cut fries. Beer battered if you wish. The pie is also made fresh and there are many varieties to choose from depending on the season. If you stop in start with the burgers and fries you cant go wrong. Did I mention that combo deal is under $7? Why go to crappy fast food? FYI. Sometimes the service is slow. But that's expected in small town diners.

Mr Pizza

Sure his sauce may be a little watered down, and it may not be top-notch gourmet pizza, but Mr Pizza is definitely the best value for your buck. They've maintained virtually the same prices since 1985 despite inflation, and you can't beat Shannon's (the owner) lunch special. For just $2.00 (tax included) you get a good sized personal pizza, a small order of breadsticks, and a drink. You heard that right all of that is only $2.00. Oh and the service is great! 5 stars all the way
Cheap, cheap, cheap lunches. And the worst pizza I've ever eaten. There's a reason lunch is so cheap here. I'd rather have lunch at a school cafeteria. Breadsticks aren't any better. But it's dirt cheap! The one time I ate here, the temperature in the restaurant was at least 90 degrees, and my soda came in a tiny plastic cup (you can't take your drink with you if you order your meal to go). If you're looking for decent/good pizza, try Pizza Hut, just a few blocks from here. If you're looking for great pizza, try Lucy's in Idaho Falls. If all you care about is getting food as cheaply as possible, buy a bag of off-brand cold cereal at Broulims.
I have no idea how this business stays open except that it feeds most of the school kids for cheap because the regular pizza is lousy.

I was in a truck with my boyfriend next to their chain-link fence. The owner came out with a big silver bowl of fish throwing it over the chain-link fence to dry it. Flies were buzzing everywhere I will never eat there ever! The fish that was dry he got another bowl and put it in and took it inside. Yuck
As a new resident of Shelley, I'm glad we have a couple of places to eat in our little town. And honestly, since moving to Southeast Idaho, I've had a really hard time finding good Chinese food. So this place is probably on par with the rest of the Chinese restaurants in the area. But it's just really not too great. I picked up an order of General Tso's chicken and hot and sour soup the other night. I paid $20, which is pretty expensive for just those two items. The chicken was decent, but the soup was awful. It was thick and sweet, not sour at all. Vinegar is usually what makes hot and sour soup sour, and there obviously was none in it. So, I added my own vinegar at home. I'm sorry, but I don't like paying $7 for some soup that I have to doctor up myself to make it edible. Oh, and it had canned tomatoes in it. Usually you don't have tomatoes in this soup, so it was a little bizarre, and not tasty. If we had a craving for Chinese and didn't feel like driving to Idaho Falls, I guess we'd come back here for the General Tso's. I'd like to try more dishes as well, I just hope they're actually worth the money, and I'm a little hesitant to come here again.
They have some good dishes, but overall they're really hit and miss. I don't care for their noodles, but their rice is fine, and the more exotic-sounding dishes tend to be pretty good. The American food is bland and simple (no tomato on a simple hamburger, etc.) This is also one of the few places in Shelley (perhaps the only place in Shelley) that's big enough for a group. Great location for a birthday party if you're not up for driving to Idaho Falls.
