Bar service is almost always excellent. Decent prices. Patio can be nice but sometimes dirty and full of smokers.

Traveling from out of state and happen to be staying across the street, but although there are many options nearby, and quite a few I also tried, I keep coming back to Connie's. The food always seems homemade and the staff is beyond friendly and attentive. Everything I have had here has been delicious! I ordered the steamed chicken pot stickers 2 days in a row, and almost a 3rd but decided to try the egg rolls to change it up, also very good! Ranch burger was awesome also. It came with fries that were perfect and crispy. Had the pasta with prawns the day before and it was better than what I ate at the authentic Italian place down the street. This go round I gotta say Kimberly is the best waitress I've had so far. She is extremely attentive, even tho busy and seems to enjoy her job. I am a bit hard to please and usually like a bit more fine dining style but don't be fooled, this place is a diamond in the ruff! So, from a service industry insider, I would definitely recommend Connie's to anyone and am sad that I won't be able to return very soon as I am heading back to Michigan tomorrow. Two thumbs up for Connie's and it's wonderful staff and food!!

Although the restaurant takes you back to the 80's with the music in the background, the food is excellent. The two times I have been there, the staff outnumbers the clientele. I do not think this a reflection of the food more like where it is located. I ordered the prime rib special and boy was it nice and juicy. I ordered with salad, fries, and a veggie which was asparagus. Taste and texture was great for the steak. Fries done right- crispy and not overly fried and the aspargus was soft yet firm with a bit of sear which I like. I never had Beets with a salad for the longest time and the salad was delicious and a huge portion. I highly recommend this place for a stop while in Sandpoint.

I've only had breakfast. The food was great and tasted fresh and seemed to be made from scratch. Service was okay but not bad. I was very pleased and its very affordable.

They always go above and beyond! There food is delicious and the servers are always awesome!! I am a pain, I can't eat a lot of things and they always make special food that is not on the menu to satisfy my dietary needs. They take pride in the food presentation and it's usually a work of art before you eat it... The location is not ideal for me (only because I live outside of town and rarely go "downtown"). For people visiting from out of town, It's a prime location. Shout out to their great servers Lea and Ruthie! We will always come back!

Great breakfast spot in Sandpoint. The historic pictures are cool. Lot's of home town friendliness. We had the vegetarian omelette so we could get some veggies then added a side of bacon, we're not vegetarians. The omelet was very good and not dry. We passed on the home fries and toast, although they looked awesome!

Best Eggs Benedict I have had in years. The Bacon is top notch! All served by a friendly waitress who filled my coffee 8 times before I needed it!

Our party of 4 had a great dinner at Connies. Started out with delicious homemade chicken noodle soup. 2 of us ate fish and chips, hand beer battered, light and crunchy and paired with mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy.....Yummmmm, real comfort food. We also tried the sautéed prawn dinner...buttery and delish. There were at least 10 prawns accompanied by vegetables and mashed taters. Only dinner complaint was the French dip was a bit under seasoned and no cheese. Save room for the homemade deserts though, we sampled the carrot cake, Marion berry cobbler and the banana cream pie. All were fabulous, but the banana cream pie was to die for! Great service too, thanks Ruthie!

There is no reason for a restaurant that has been around as long as Connie's to have a 45 min wait because of the kitchen very disappointed

Crowded with locals . The manager was so welcoming and attentive to our lively two old with crayons, lollipops and a few free fries - like visiting a place run by an avuncular jolly uncle. The fish fry came fresh and lightly battered and had a unique tasty potato pancake that didn't need catsup ( please !!) . All the wait staff was attentive and caring . A local old fashioned 50s look but adequately comfortable booths and their patio dining area was crowded with appreciative diners enjoying live music and bar food . The classic outside sign is a real throwback - glad they could keep it. Great service ! Clean simple fish fry and good fries too - cute child's cup and genuinely friendly staff . Enjoyed our time there !!

What a sweet surprise. Nice place to eat. Had the chili burger. Home made Chile, home made potato salad were both great. I ordered my burger medium and what do you know.... It came out medium. Most restaurants can never cook meat to the correct level of "done" but they got it perfect. Restaurant was nice and clean, wait staff was great (Tina was the bomb) food presentation was beautiful. You should check these guys out.

Most places seem to close early in sandpoint. That was one of the reasons we chose Connies. Happy that we did. The homemade veggie burger and fries were great, as was the service.

So, I'm visiting Sandpoint on holiday from Calgary. We were starving. The only place we could find to eat was a joint called Connie's. Looked all right from the outside. Cool vintage sign, and sort of charming in a divey way, but alas... This place was a bit on the dingy side and I made the mistake of ordering "the special." Swiss Steak. Never heard of such a thing. Sounded fancy, but actually not so much. In Canada, we eat horse (i.e. Cheval) and it's awesome, but who knew that they were okay eating cat meat in the states, or at least something that resembled cat meat. Someone cracked a can o' cream of mushroom and poured it over the cheapest, processed, worst-tasting piece of meat I've ever been served. Maybe out of a can?? The scene of the crime- Connie's. Almost 24 hours have past, and I appear not to have any food poisoning, so that's a plus. Whoever said BC stands for bad cuisine has never eaten at Connie's. Tempted to head back north. Meow!

Stopped in for a late breakfast, initially was bummed they did not offer skillet dishes, since I was craving corned beef hash, however I ordered the Eggs Florentine with hashbrowns and my boyfriend got the country breakfast with scrambled eggs, biscuit and ham. Both our meals had portions much larger than we were expecting, and the food was FANTASTIC! Absolutely will be making Connie's our go to breakfast stop when we are in Sandpoint. Clean, friendly service and extremely affordable.

On holiday from England, the lad Shannon behind the bar was the BEST. great service and very educated on the surroundings. Wish I could have his cute smile with me all the time. Soooo friendly.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Service was great. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and I would recommend it to anyone coming through Sandpoint.

Mediocre food with inattentive and absent-minded service (I'm talking to you, Sadie). But, the place claims it's been in business since 1955, so the locals must like it.

I loved this place. Food was good, drinks were good, atmosphere was awesome. This is a very welcoming, place where the owner introduces himself & makes an effort to remember you. Awesome open mic night too. The music was great!

Stopped in here after church one Sunday morning. The ambience was cozy if a little dark. The staff were super sweet and helpful, even after my toddler threw his huge plastic cup at the table and it basically exploded, sending great splashes of ice water everywhere. (This is why we rarely go out to eat anymore.) The food came out and we were very satisfied. It was massively fattening but most diner food is. The eggs were done beautifully, the smoked ham was delicious, the hash browns and home fries were out of this world, and the pancakes were fluffy and good. The coffee wasn't anything special and the prices were quite high for a diner, which is why I can't give this place five full stars. But we did enjoy our meal and will certainly return. Huge portions and tasty, greasy, American comfort food make Connie's a good choice when you're in the mood to eat something that will make you fat. They also have a full bar, which is cool.

Came in on a Sunday, and was treated to a great staff, wonderful food and great dining experience. Jan our server/bartender was exceptional; friendly, fun and attentive. Food was phenomenal, homestyle breakfast done correctly. Quality was great and I got a ton of bacon on my plate. :)

Recently re-opened and attached to the lovely La Quinta Sandpoint, this is a totally decent place to eat. Been twice, and I've not been disappointed. The first time I and two others rocked a plate of Nachos that was pretty devastating. In retrospect, we should have asked how massive the nachos were. Either way, they were great. No skimping on toppings, that's for sure. My entree was a (at this point unnecessary) dish of macaroni and cheese, but jazzed up with crab meat and linguica. Odd combo, but very tasty. Good pasta, good cheese sauce, good dress up. Worth getting. The second time I got lazy and just had nachos. The nachos won. We started with wings, and between MickDuff's, Spuds, Connies, and someplace else, Connie's takes the prize. The best sauce and good, meaty wings. They've got a pretty big menu - sandwiches, burgers, salads, even a fried oyster sandwich, which sounds amazing (it's got bacon *and* oysters??) but I'm a little scared of getting bad oysters. Sure sounds awesome though. Lots of table seating, as well as a full bar. Also, what look to be incredibly pies, but we've all been too stuffed to partake.

Pretty good food for being a little cafe. We stayed in Sandpoint a couple days and this was a nice, convenient place to grab a bite to eat. Nothing to write home about, but the selection is good, staff is friendly, and prices are reasonable.

I had dinner at Connie's. It has a good atmosphere and like the sign says, it's a cafe, a big cafe with a huge counter with stools, and lots of table seating as well The service was very good and the food came out hot and fresh. For dinner I would say overall the place is average, nothing really blew me away. I might go back and try their breakfast.

This place is a good all american diner. Been here a couple times now because its right next to the hotel we stayed at. The food comes fast and is surprisingly decent. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was cool. Sort of a twin peaks dive diner vibe. The bar area is a step up too and actually looks very nice with polished wood everywhere, a big fireplace, and a nice patio area. For breakfast I had the Eggs Florentine and it was quite good.

I just waddled back from a nice meal at Connie's. We are here visiting a family friend and Connie's is part of the La Quinta complex. We had come here two years ago when we were visiting the friend before and it was pretty good. Since we last were here, Connie's owners had gone bankrupt and was bought after several months by a new owner who freshened up the joint. Tonight, it was my Mom, my three year old and I. My son didn't like his mac and cheese and bogarted my fries. The mac and cheese was pretty good even if my son didn't think so. My veggie wrap was full of good roasted veg and was very filling. My Mom had the fettucine which wasn't too bad - it could use a little more parm though. I had a chocolate shake that was really nice with undertones of caramel. Mmmm. The waitress we had was super friendly and kind. This is a nice family restaurant that will fill your tummy right up.
