If dining on generous helpings of Mexican food on a deck by the Salmon River, attended by numerous and attentive staff sounds appealing, then you have to try this place. Fiesta El Jalisco features an amazing variety of familiar Mexican favorites along with many delicious dishes you won't find elsewhere. I tried the borrego, a super tender lamb shank in a rich red sauce with traditional Mexican sides and tortillas. It's the first time I've ever had lamb in a Mexican restaurant and it won't be the last if I'm ever in Salmon again. They have a wide selection of alcohol free margaritas. I tried the blackberry and it was superb. One thing is obvious about this place: the management and staff take a lot of pride in it and work hard to take care of their customers. It shows in the final product.

The people here are super friendly and I have consistently been impressed with the service. The food is decent and there are a number of options- the food could be better but this is as good as it gets here

Must have come on a bad night. Service was painfully slow even for this carefree young, retired guy. Good sized portions of below average Mexican food. Simple tacos were a little disappointing. Pre-mix margaritas were lacking in flavor and alcohol. Salsa had a nice kick. Guac did not look homemade. Flour tortillas were out of a package but warmed up. Waiters seemed to be fighting over who could be least attentive. They both 'won'. Wouldn't give them higher than 3-stars even if they had excellent service. Will look for a steak place if we come through town again.

I know this is a chain, but this location serves ice cold Modelo Especial and Negra Modelo. The chips and salsa were good, not great. We have had better... and worse. The Carne Asada was very good. The steak was marinated and cooked perfectly. The pico de gallo had a crisp, fresh taste with just enough heat, and the guacamole concluded the trifecta. The peppers and onions were cooked perfectly... crunchy, not mushy. I got the corn tortillas and combined everything for a marvelous melody of fresh flavors. The refried beans were creamy, light and very tasty, with a nice amount of melted cheese. The chile verde burrito was very tasty, with a perfect blend of spices. The cheese enchiladas were oozing with cheese and had a very nice enchilada sauce. Did I tell you about the ice cold Modelo Especial?? It really complemented the food. Don't ask us about dessert; the portions were so big that we had no room for any sweets. The service, was friendly and casual, yet attentive. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time, including the staff. What more can you ask for? Helpful? Report problem

Pretty typical tex mex, but it is very good. Friendly attentive staff. Excellent atmosphere out on the deck along the river (saw deer and sandhill cranes on the river). A little more expensive than usual for a Mexican place. All around, nice place with good food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
