Great place for comfort food. Just had a huge ribeye steak, and it was cooked perfect!

Excellent home-cooked food. Stopped for a roadside lunch, but ended up ordering dinners once we saw the food coming out. I ordered trout which was grilled perfectly. Moist and flavorful! Dinners came with soup or salad, vegetables, and choice of fries, baked, or mashed potatoes. The perfect stop for a road trip where most places you stop have the same menu and only fries. My daughter ordered breakfast (served will day) and said her pancakes were very good. My husband ordered the pot pie which he heartily enjoyed. Not a dish filled with soup and vegetables covered with pastry but a thick slice of a deep dish old fashioned chicken pot pie. Yum! Dinner came with strawberry shortcake, but that didn't stop us from ordering a slice of chocolate mousse pour large enough to feed the family.

My husband & I are truck drivers & we must say that this is the best place for breakfast on the road! Anywhere! Our waitress Tess, she was great! Kept our coffee full and was always smiling! The food was FABULOUS!!

Stopped at the Wayside Cafe for lunch en route to Twin Falls. The food was OK (dug the fry sauce) but the service was ABYSMAL....which is kind of funny since there are a bunch of local waiter awards hanging on the wall.....limited competition I guess. Felt like we were in a prison cafeteria with the security camera at our table. Then there was a 'joke' from our terrible waitress about us dining and dashing. I don't know what goes on in these parts, but I do know we won't be returning to the Wayside Cafe.

The best place to stop and re-energize on a long haul road trip. I was a bit timid when we first walked in the locals picked us as out-of-towners at first glance! However, as soon as we seated ourselves our server was nothing short of amazing and on point! Coffee, cream, and water was brought to our table before we even had a chance to look at the menus (amazing mind-reading server!!) I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich (it was time to switch up driving duties) and the Hubs ordered the Club Sandwich. We ordered to-go needing to get some more miles under us quick and they were gracious enough to even get us some to-go cups for our coffees, which was much appreciated! Both of us ate our meals a bit later down the road on our journey and even though cold (our choice) our food was still great and hit the spot! Potatoes done well (browns for me and fries for the Hubs) both still had crispness, "Yes!!!" and the friendliness, camaraderie, and speediness of the staff (even though I don't think they're asked for "to-go" too often) kept us happy and satisfied till our next stop. Thank You Wayside and Wayside regulars for being you a doing as you do!!

Soup and salad looked good across the table on my friend's plate. My club sandwich was mediocre, bacon was the best part, certainly no need for 3 layers of bread. Fries were floppy and had more" potato crunch" than fried crunch. Good atmosphere.

Had lunch here driving home from SLC. The food was decent, but the rating is based on being conned into buying two slices of pie. The menu says that dinners come with dessert, so when the waitress came by and asked us what kind of pie we wanted, we told her. Turns out, the dessert that comes with the meal is not the pie, and we got charged another 5 bucks on top of our meals. Will not be eating here again, as I felt ripped off.

Locals place, as there isn't much else in town. This is a roadside diner on a two-way road near a gas station and the freeway onramp/offramp. The fries were really good potatoes ruined in a fat fryer - possibly lard, not sure. The produce was wilted. I think I was the first person NOT to order ranch dressing in a while; the italian dressing tasted out of date. Healthy options? Well, let's put it this way: The special of the day was Chicken Fried Steak. The seats were very uncomfortable. Lots of parking, and the place was busy. The 'locals', which the waitress pointed out to me, were all 300+ lbs. This is a place where the truckers stop to eat. The staff was friendly, and it was easy to pay and get on our way. The bathrooms were clean, but were out of paper towels. While convenient to find as it was freeway close, had ample parking and plenty of seats, and a friendly staff, I personally would never return to the Wayside Cafe again.

i am a truck driver {not a fat one} (clean and skinny) anyways i tried it here and the food was definately not something to write to home about. i was not impressed at all i had a burger and fries, fries were decent but the burger was boring and tasted like a frozen patty from the dollar store. but they do have decent truck parking. i think i would rather eat a cup of noodles or a military m.r.e. than eat here again.

Great breakfast. Cheap, filling, tasty. Our server was an expert: lots of coffee refills, supersweet, good recommendations.

The food was classic diner food, but lacking in any flavor or character. He had a burger that the waitress said was one of her favorite. When he got it, the patty was blackened there were no condiments. Instead of fries he got the potato salad which looked, and tasted, like it came right out of a can. The omelet that I had was lukewarm and had a slab of American cheese thrown on the top.

Small town diner - food is home cooked and what you'd expect. It's a pretty good value considering most dinners come with soup or salad, choice of potato and a dessert. They did ring up my order wrong and then rather than fixing it they gave me 10% off (didn't equal the amount they mischarged), but I didn't have time to argue further (cost them 1 star). I would probably stop here again.

Had breakfast for dinner, while bf had dinner ham special. hashbrowns bc not from a bag. Pancake batter not from a mix-total plus! He said his food was kinda cold, but he still liked it, because his came with desert. Employees super nice and their pies are homemade Would return to try something else Revise: Bf and I there out the pies. I'm super shocked he threw out his banana cream bc he loves pie..so I knew it was bad. Plus he tasted mo e and spit it out said it was not food and stale (which it was). Oh well ... it sucks that the place isn't what we hoped it wouldbe. Had to take away a star since we wasted $6 on bad pie.

Found fur/hair in food, saw the staff kicking fingers and the handling food, then the staff insisted we still pay, without trying to make any offerings.

Sit at the counter to get the full diner experience. I really enjoyed myself as a tourist but I imagine if I were looking for a great brunch place this might have been the wrong choice. But we were looking for a greasy spoon, road side diner and well, this hit the spot for sure. I didn't much care for my omelette but I should have remembered where I was for a moment and I would have asked for no cheese. Processed cheese slices aren't my thing but I picked through it and all in all it wasn't too terrible. My half order of biscuits and gravy were HUGE but I gobbled them up. I guess anyone that bothers to Yelp is going to give this place a bad review but it is what it is and I think in this case it is just fine.

Once upon a time this was a decent truck-stop diner. Unfortunately it has gone progressively downhill. The final straw was the move from real burgers to prefab patties. This means the Parky Burger, a Mini-Cassia staple for decades has ceased to be. What was a great long-burger with onion and cheese mixed in the burger and cooked in is now a prefab patty. Blech. Not being able to get a Parky I ordered breakfast. Largely cold. Greasy hash browns. Nasty. No reason to go back.

Wow - lots of bad reviews. We liked it. Service was great - our waitress kept our coffees filled and was super friendly. I had the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast and it was delicious, hashbrowns were awesome, over easy eggs done perfectly (no runny white) and the Chicken Fried Steak was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Maybe I caught em on a good day but I would go back !!
