The food was really good and our server Michelle was great. We have been to the Gator Jacks in Rigby but this was our first time at the Gator Jacks in Idaho Falls and we will definitely be back. Thanks for the great experience.

The service was bad, they were out of French fries and roast beef. There were 4 of us and the sandwich my parents ordered came out 10 minutes before our food arrived. My parents had to order onion rings because they were out of French fries and 5 rings arrived. My husband order chicken and biscuits and was told that it may not be available. I ordered Jumbalaya, which had good flavore, however, it was all rice, no soup, the chicken was breaded, no shrimp and served on a plate instead of a bowl. We will not go back to the Idaho Falls location.

They have TERRIBLE service!! Literally every time we eat there, they screw up our order. When ordering to go, I've had to drive back to the store to pick up forgotten items. They are always out of things, and will randomly substitute things with out asking if it's okay! I have finally learned my lesson, we will never be eating there again!

Slow service, but friendly most of the time. Big portions, little selection. There's a few items repeated on the menu, just bigger portions. Average food and average price. Big drinks though!

Since opening a new location in Idaho Falls, the service has gone downhill. The last two times I've been here, I've ordered different meals and been told that they are out of this and that. They've done a terrible job with having necessities in stock in order to supply the new location. The prep time for the food has increased, as well as some of their prices. Literally, the only redeeming quality is the delicious food.

Over the years this restaurant has really gone down hill. Really wish the owner hadn't made so many changes. The service is mediocre at best. The past 5 times I have gone the service the service has been poor- messing up orders, bringing out the wrong food or once waiting almost an hour for food. The quality of food has decreased over the years too. It's just nothing special. This in combination with the service has ruined it for us, we will not be back. We have given this restaurant so many chances. Wish it was as good as it used to be.

If your all about a great sandwich then this is the place! Don't let the exterior fool you, the food is amazing. The interior is a sharp contrast to the ugly exterior! Gator bites are amazing. My daughter loves the cluck and nuts, I've eaten here twice.. Pleasantly surprised each time.

Food was so so. Service not so great. 1. After finally getting seated, we ordered and the waitress had to return and tell us the kitchen was out of roast beef for our sandwich. OK, ordered changed. 2. When the food came, we found out they were out of ranch, substituting another sauce. 3. As we were leaving, we finally got more water in our empty glasses. 4. My biggest mistake: not looking at the final check. There should have been three glasses of water that somehow got changed into $7.50 worth of drinks. Not good. My suggestion, drive on down the road a bit.

Very very good at what they do, making great tasting sandwiches! I havent been able to bring myself to order anything else but sandwiches yet. I am happy they are around. I am confident they will be for a very long time.

Best food in the area! Sandwiches, gumbo, jambalaya, shrimp, and much more; everything with a southern/ Louisiana twist. If you liked Hostess raspberry filled powdered doughnuts, you have to try Gator Jack's Beignets for a finishing touch! A+

Would never have stopped here except it was recommended by out B&B host. In fact we had driven right by on our way to the B&B and hadn't even noticed there was a restaurant in the building. Idaho meets southern Louisiana with surprisingly good results. I had the shrimp and andouille sausage jambalaya (small serving which was plenty for a very hungry lady). There was just the right kick in the spice. When I requested a slice of bread or a roll I received two pieces of sourdough (my choice) warm from the grill - no extra cost. My husband had the southern fried chicken dinner. Two pieces of breaded breast, a bowl of mashed potatoes with choice of white or brown gravy and fried green beans. The potatoes were enough to feed a family of four - this is Idaho of course. After tasting the green beans I wished I had ordered a side of my own (not that I needed them)). This probably wasn't the most spectacular Cajun meal I've ever had but much, much better than I would ever expect to find west of the Rockies. Big mugs of sun ice tea quenched our thirst. We know is was as advertised truly sun tea as we spotted a big jug brewing on the window sill as we left. An added bonus was the two deliciously soft chocolate chip cookies our waitress dropped off as we finished our meal. I had intended to order a slice of the made from scratch Herman's German Chocolate Cake but no way could I have eaten another bite. Service was cheerful and prompt, something we appreciated after a long day of travel. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and quant y, out total bill was $25 for two dinners and ice teas. Would definitely stop if near Ribgy again.

Good Cajun in the most unlikely of places. The menu has your typical fair and yummy specialties. This is not a fast-food place as they take the time to make good food. I'm a big fries fan, and their Zombie Fries were crispy and tasty. Their broccoli cheese soup was yummy (broccoli was cooked through). And the shrimp po boy (which comes in many sizes to meet everyone's need) with the gator sauce was pretty good. I like how they include a cookie with the meal too, that was a pleasant surprise.

While on our travels with my family this past Summer, we stumbled across this restaurant. And I can't say how glad we are that we did. First the ambiance is just phenomenal. From the outside, this place doesn't look like much, but trust me, you just have to come in. You really do feel as though you're dining down at the Bayou in Louisiana somewhere. However, that really wasn't the highlight. The food! We traveled through 9 states and I can honestly tell you the food here was the best we'd had since we left. We ordered some breakfast burritos, and the swamp omelette. While talking with the server, Mr. Gator Jack himself showed up. We talked for a bit and upon learning that we were just passing through and that we loved his food so much that we almost wanted to just stay an extra day to have dinner at his place, he treated us to some alligator meat (we've never tried it) even though they were only serving breakfast. It was delicious, but that's not the point. What a class act, you fellows in Rigby are lucky to have this great restaurant with great food and great people. Thank you gator Jack, and I honestly can't wait til I'm near Rigby again to stop by and visit. Best regards form your friends in socal!

Don't blink as you drive toward town from the 322 Rigby Exit cause you might just pass by it. Gator Jacks is not only a good place for a sandwich but the atmosphere inside is awesome. If you get a sandwich get "The Jack" it has a ton of meat and you can pick as many veggies as you want. The sandwiches are served on fresh french bread and the portions are huge. Ordering a 6" is like getting 2 6" sandwiches from that other big sandwich chain. The food is fresh, the help is super fast and friendly and the food is delicious. You also get a cookie with your order. The Gator Bites are definitely a big hit here. They are very tiny potatoes that are topped with cheese and bacon. They are wonderful. If you haven't tried them yet, do it when you visit Gator Jacks next.

I've lived in Rigby for years and finally ate at Gator Jacks. What an amazing place! Great atmosphere, great service, and great food . The staff was so attentive and courteous, insuring our every need was taken care of promptly. Gator Jacks is the crown jewel in the Gem State, do yourself a favor and stop by. With food and service like this, you won't be disappointed.

This is a very popular place to eat in Rigby. The line can be long at lunch time, so get there before noon if you can. They have opened a 2nd store in Rexburg. I've been to both and they are equally good. The sandwiches are wide, so the 4" is as big as a 6" elsewhere. The Kissin' Kin is very popular and a good pick: roast beef, turkey, ham, bacon, and cheese. I also like the Shine From Da Moon: a nicely marinated chicken breast, melted cheese, and veggies of your choice. There are many others I can't wait to try. Be sure to try the Loaded Gator Bites. They are little spuds covered in cheese and bacon with a Cajun dipping sauce.

Always good! Their sandwiches are original and yummy and their newer dishes are so good. Cajun shrimp pasta is my favorite!! They expanded their beer collection which is good. They have a wider variety to offer now. They're a little on the pricy side, but worth it.

2 words. Gator Bites. Get them! My dad took me here when we were visiting IF. Made the drive and it was worth it. The decor is fun. A little dark in some places. Sandwiches were good, but the gator bites were GREAT!

I can't believe this place has been in my back yard and I'd never tried it until today. This place is awesome, great food, fun and laid back atmosphere!!! This place is a must try.

The sandwiches are super good. The jambalaya...not so much. When I placed my order, I ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks, jambalaya, and the cheese potatoes. The idiot charged my mom for the 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks, and then wondered why I was standing there waiting for the rest of my food. He ended up having to charge me for the other food since he forgot stuff which was super annoying. Get your shit together!!

Don't let the rough exterior scare you off--Gator Jacks is really makes a great sandwich! We left Driggs, Idaho at lunchtime, and decided to wait until we got to Rexburg to eat. Rexburg only had the usual sandwich fare (Subway--which I refuse to eat) so we went in search of a good local place. We decided to try Gator Jacks simply because of the name. We will return for the food. Our sandwiches were delicious. The potato salad was good, a basic mustard potato salad. The baked beans were divine! We travel to northern Idaho once or twice a year. We might just time our travel to land us close to Gator Jacks around a meal time. It was that good! An added bonus is that the interior is fun. My kids, age 5 and 7 were completely entertained by looking arnd at all of the alligator and swamp decor.
