So far so good. All I had was a grasshopper cake pop (I'm a lightweight) but it was awesome! Looking forward to going back and trying more! My husband got a red velvet shake (that's their red velvet cake mixed into reed's dairy ice cream and blended up into a milkshake) and loved it.

My favorite is the Ultimate Brownie, but I honestly haven't had a bad one. Their ice cream is also super yummy.

One Saturday while my wife and I were in Idaho Falls, we stopped by this candy store(Sarah's Candy Cottage) to pick up some licorice for my father-in-law. As we entered the store, we were greeted by the owner who asked us where we were from. When we told him that we were living in Rexburg, he immediately asked us if we had been to the Cocoa Bean. When we told him that we hadn't, he told us that the first thing we needed to do when we go back was to go and try it out. He wasn't kidding. The Cocoa Bean is one of those places that only does one thing, and you're glad they do. Cupcakes are all they make. Well, they make smoothie-esque drinks and hot chocolates too, but the real reason you go there is for the cupcakes. My personal favorite is the Grasshopper. It's mint chocolate chip ice cream in cupcake form. It's extraordinary. My wife's favorite is the Nutella/Raspberry. I'm sure it has a more clever name than that, but whatever it's called, it's wonderful too. All in all, your time and money will be well spent when visiting The Cocoa Bean.

Combine a small-town version of Sprinkles, Matsumoto, and a coffee shop minus the coffee add the hot chocolate - you're got yourself a Cocoa Bean Cupcake Cafe. It was surprising to find a place like this in Rexburg. I ordered a decent size shaved ice for $1.00 with a really good cupcake for about $3.00. There are 8 varieties out at once, and they all look friggin' delicious. I ordered the Better than Whatever Cake (you're in a town highly populated with Mormons - do you really expect the name of the cake to have "sex" instead of "whatever"?). While the bottom of the cupcake was a little soggy for some reason, the rest of it was really, really good. All of the flavors are unique and they're a decent size. If it wasn't reaching 100 degrees outside, I would have tried the hot chocolate. The guy who started the place came up with a bunch of different hot chocolate drinks, which apparently are really good. Like I said earlier, it's a small town versions of some great places for a treat, but I guess that's what you get in a small town, right?

Just walking around downtown Rexburg and I do a double take - CUPCAKES in Rexburg! YAY for me! A brand new little store selling my favorite sweet confection. Great selection, cute spot and nice people. I had the Spanish chocolate cupcakes with rich moist chocolate and the lovely bite of cinnamon flavor, AND the Raspberry Cream Cheese, which was good, but the Spanish Chocolate one won. They were $2.75 each. The multitudinous types of cocoa to be had was impressive. But it was too hot - is there an iced cocoa? oh, chocolate milk... Thanks Cocoa Bean! I will be back, next trip, after I make some myself and see if I can come close to your cupcaktes.

Super delicious cupcakes. Its such a cute place too. About 3$ per cupcake. The menu changes daily, but theres a list in the store so you can know what days to come in to get the cupcake you want. The place has a nice college atmosphere about it too!

No, this isn't a coffee shop, but it's still worth a stop if you're craving something sweet. The business uses cocoa beans as an alternative to coffee beans. Prices are high, but know it's because the cupcakes are gourmet quality. There's a variety you won't find at the grocery store. Every cupcake has unique, visual appeal. Flavorful & rich. This is probably the cutest little shop I've seen.

As I stated in my tip, I was very disappointed that I drove across town to get a cup of coffee only to find they don't serve coffee at this location (and there was actually an espresso machine on the counter!). In fact, aside from fast food restaurants, nowhere in Rexburg seems to serve coffee. That being said, the cupcakes were absolutely delicious! Lots of flavors and aesthetically, they are a work of art! Pricing was a little steep per cupcake, but I believe the quality makes justifies the price. Go for the cupcakes but be warned they don't serve coffee!

I usually come here a couple times a year, because if I ate here more than that I'd get diabetes. That being said, eating their cupcakes everyday may be worth diabetes. They have different flavors everyday. They are large, moist, and delicious. If you want to make someones day, buy them a couple. If you want to end someones life buy them a dozen. I highly reccomend you give this place a try.

No Coffee..... As I was expecting to get... Won't go back.... Great Cupcakes BUT $5+ each was deciding factor to NOT bring the grandkids for a drop-in visit... I'd have to spend a fortune!

Their ice cream is Reed's dairy, so that means its good ice cream. Cupcakes are also great. I've only been once so its obviously not amazing enough to warrant 5 stars on my behalf but they are a good little dessert/coffee shop on College Ave that I think most people would like.

Customer service here is terrible!! I got almond roca hot chocolate which I have never had, I tasted it and immediately disliked it, so I asked if I could just switch it for another kind. Her response was as if I was asking for her right leg, but after thinking about it for a few seconds she decides she'd do it. I get my new drink and it was cold, literally cold. I understand that asking for another drink is kinda annoying, but I don't want to pay $4.00 for something I don't like. So when you order a drink here make sure you like it, or else your gonna get a cold hot chocolate.

This place is super cute and it taste great! It is a little pricey but nice if you have the starving student card. It is always clean, never stale and a great atmosphere. I like the Mexican hot chocolate!!

Still love this place almost a year later! My husband and I go usually once a week. My favorite is the ultimate brownie-it's ridiculous! The girls are always so kind and helpful every time we come in, and it is always clean. It's the one place we will miss when we move out of Rexburg next month.

Great Cupcakes! Really good variety. I also love the different hot or cold drinks that they offer. I moved to Provo for a few years and didn't stop loving it as there is one down there as well. Today I tried their ice cream and its just as great, and some flavors even have the cupcakes in them.

I use to like this place, but the past 3 times I have been in the service has been terrible. They are so unfriendly and slow. Last time I went in with my husband we walked in and there were two workers and no one in line. One worker was making drinks for two people waiting who were sitting down and the other worker was cleaning the counter top. Neither of the workers even say hello or we will be with you in a minute. We stood their for about 4 min at the counter and then we decided to just leave. They need to be trained on costumer service or they will lose more business. I won't ever go back there. It's not worth being ignored for 4 min to get an over priced, dry, cupcake.

Great place to go on dates. My wife and I would go here all the time together. The cupcakes were very good and they always had creative flavors. The hot chocolate was extremely good as well. Closest thing rexburg will ever come to having a Starbucks...

I'm obsessed with cupcakes and the cocoa bean has never failed me yet. It's a little overpriced for a cupcake. You have to be prepared for tons of frosting and cupcakes so sweet you might feel sick afterwards, but when a craving kicks in, I can never resist.

Super slow service. In all honesty they taste like your average store bought cupcakes. I prefer homemade.Once, when my car was broken down outside, I went in to ask to refill my water since I was very dehydrated. I waited 20 min and there was only 1 person in line. I ended up just going to the plasma center around the corner for water.

Excellent idea for a substitute for a coffee shop in this little 98% LDS community. Dozens of delicious cupcake flavors on a weekly rotation manifested in large and artfully decorated desserts, frappes and lattes done with Ghirardelli chocolate syrup and your choice of flavored syrup, and frozen lemonade with fruit blended in - all for good prices. They also do soy milk substitutes. Fun atmosphere, friendly employees, and free wifi.

Totally Yummy! This is a great little coffee shop substitute for Rexburg. Great Hot Coco, Frozen Lemonades, and the cupcakes are fantastic. For about $2.50 you can get decadent and unique creations. Be sure to get there early if you can. They often run out of cupcakes in the evenings and if they do have some they are typically a little stale tasting. Perfect for a date night or hangout spot.

I went with a friend this past Friday night and even though it was early, they were nearly out of cupcakes! They only had three varieties left and when we ate our selections (Dirty Grasshopper and Better Than Whatever), you could tell by the stiff frosting that they had been sitting for awhile. I was really disappointed, especially on a weekend when you would expect them to be well stocked for big crowds.

I'm not a big fan of cake, especially rich, heavy, sugary, cake with lots of frosting, which these cupcakes are precisely. I don't like them at all. But their drinks are FABULOUS! I love their frappes and their hot chocolate. I never get the cupcakes I always get the drinks.
