Its a cool place, the food is a bit greasy but what do you expect its a hamburger joint, its kind of a hole in the wall place, we were trying to find it for the first time and we drove right by it. Maybe I'm biased but I like small business that are doing a good service. I recommend if your in rexburg to stop by and try it. Get the 2 pound burger I

Super fun place to go with a group of buddies or on a date. The big jud burger is just something everyone has to get at least once, maybe twice. The food was pretty good. I think my ice-cream they used for my shake was a little freezer burnt though. Good burgers but my experience with their shakes was not so great.

Best burger place in Rexburg!! Good food friendly staff when it gets busy it gets a little crowded and noisey but over all good place. Wish it wasn't so far outside of town would go there a lot more often then what I do. Prices are good for what you get.

Their food is 4 stars, but their customer service is a 10. One time when I went, their power was out. I had driven over an hour to go here, and I was really sad. It obviously wasn't their fault, but I was just angry at the situation. Turns out that they were still open for business. They had seriously lit candles and lanterns, and were using the last of their gas to run the grill. They had a limited menu that night, since all the electronic devices were non-functional. But they still were able to get a burger out, and it was fantastic. I hear they were open WAY past closing that day in order to help people out.

Good burger but a little off the beat and path. My son did the one lb. challenge and got their pic taken as they crushed it. Could not watch them finish as it was gross. Lol

Definitely the best burgers in eastern Idaho. The mushroom bacon burger is great. The fries are large cuts of Idaho spuds and are not breaded, which is great. They also have sweet potato fries, tater tots, and onion rings. No need to order a large drink as the small size is big. The staff is friendly, but stretched thin, so please be nice. Plan on waiting for a table for 15-30 minutes on Friday and Saturday evenings. Lastly, make certain you bring a big appetite!

Nice variety of burgers. There were 4 of us and we all had a different burger. They were all delicious. The place wasn't extremely clean (carpets, bathroom...) but we could watch them cooking and it all looked good. Would stop again for the burgers and tots!

I have been here once and honesty it was ok. The burger and fries were good but nothing to brag about. The burger was a little too greasy for me personally, but my husband thought it was good. I feel they were a bit over priced considering their location, poor condition of their restaurant, and quality of food.

We came here as a suggestion from our Brother in Law who was looking forward to taking the "Big Juds 1LB Challenge". Big Juds is kind of in the middle of nowhere...almost on a residential road surrounded by houses and farm land. Not anywhere near other places of business. We had a large group of 14 on a busy Saturday, so knew that our wait would probably be long. It was, but by the time we were seated, our waitress was super attentive and was at our table taking our order in no time. For our table, we ordered a couple of the "Big Jud's Combos" which consisted of the famous one-pound burger two large fries and four large drinks. Each of these combos fed four adults, and ended up being a killer deal. The burgers were amazing! Juicy, cooked perfectly and presented on a dinner plate-sized bun. with all of the fixings. If I could fix a perfect burger, this may have been it. Nothing out of this world special about it, just basic, classic and delicious. The fries on the other hand fell way short of my expectations. They are classic, peel-on fries, and are served in a huge basket. Actually, "huge" may be an understatement. Tons of fries! This wouldn't be a problem if they tasted better. I thought they could have been seasoned better, and some of the larger fries weren't cooked all the way through. Service was excellent. Ice cream for dessert was a nice treat, and we walked out of there eating until we were full for way less than $10/person. Our kids enjoyed the kids meals, and overall we were very pleased with this out-of-the-way dining experience.

If you want a good, old-fashioned, grilled burger, this is the place to go! And my husband said they had the best onion rings he's ever had. I would agree - real, batter fried onions. Mm. The only reason we gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because we didn't care for the natural cut fries; they were good but not the style we like. We love to take our visitors there whenever we can. Big Juds is kind of a local treat! Yes, there is no wifi or cell service, as some have complained, but this is a place to go with people and enjoy the company of others. I would suggest leaving your phone or tablet in the car and enjoy some good, old-fashioned sociability while you eat! Not much better than that!

Come with an appettite for sure! Being a California, I have tried all kinds of burgers but never had I seen one this large! It was huge and I just ordered the single so I can only image the monster burgers the folks at Big Jud's can create. The meat is flavorful and I do agree there is a little too much bread but how else could I expect it to be held together. I really enjoy their fry sauce. I really wish I would have saved room for the ice cream, sure looked yummy.

I always enjoy a Big Judd burger. The buns are really great and the meat is delicious alone or doused in the fry sauce. The fresh cut fries aren't the best, they usually come out soggy and unsalted. Maybe next time I'll try the tots. I've never had anything except the monster single burger. The atmosphere is fun. It's been updated since I was last there in 2012. However its still a dive. If you don't know it's there, you'll drive right by because it's literally in the middle of nowhere. Don't blink! This time it was quite clean, which is great because in the past it's been dingy. I, and my family, will be returning the next time we visit our family in Southeast Idaho to enjoy another monster burger!

Worst restaurant in eastern Idaho. Seriously this place needs to get with the times. Any smart restaurant owner knows that he needs to take care of his customers and make them happy. Wifi is a basic commodity and necessary to running a successful business; especially if the cellular service is poor like at Big Judds. Big Judds is a terrible restaurant on the side of providing wifi for its customers. There is NO wifi here. Don't support this business until it pulls through with showing that it cares about its customers.

Big jud's known for their one pounder. A delicious burger with a nice bun and juicy meaty patty, it was hard to get my mouth on it. If your a clean freak don't go here the food is massive; it will get all over you. I have tried the bleu cheese burger, was good sauce wasn't overwhelming, the meat was tender and the cheese perfect. Messy though! The fries are handcut but honestly not that tasty. There okay quality. Okay the bad. Place is old, and in the middle of no where. Servers are mediocre only coming occasionally, and if their packed don't expect much. We waited for our food and received it after others who came before, they give bigger groups higher priority. And everything is greasy, but hey it's a burger joint. America.

There's not much going on around the area. Come here, get a ridiculously large hamburger, clog an artery, eat awesome onion rings, require a triple bypass, greasy tables, who cares you're gonna die anyway, it wasn't like you came here because you're on a diet or something. Place is great, just eat here.

Something people don't talk about at burger joints is the bun. The buns at Jud's are some of the best I've ever had. Especially on one of the eponymous Big Jud burgers with the 1lb patty. Kind of a pain to get to, but worth it. I like the ice cream available and its general atmosphere. Only been there AFTER going to college in Rexburg. Weird. I wish I had been here while I was still a teen. I coulda easily been on the double- or triple-patty wall of fame. Every time I'm in rexburg, I have to go there. I'll be back.

I lived in the Archer area in high school, and always loved the burgers and home cut fries. Going back with my kids was something I looked forward to. The food was still as good (or better) than I remembered and the prices are very reasonable; however the service would keep me from going back. We got our drinks just before our food, and the waitress never came back to offer refills until we were ready to go. In fact in the 40+ min we were in the restaurant we she only came by our table 3 times! Hospitality is not for the faint of heart and I think they should take that into account when they hire wait staff in the future!

My friends and I kept on hearing about his place and how great it was so we decided to drop by and give it a try. In all honesty, the burgers were not that good. The waitress was a jerk too. When we asked her for recommendations she just gave us attitude. Not to mention the restaurant was pretty dirty. The only times we saw our waitress was when she took our order and dropped off our food. This place is a joke. Now that the Hickory opened in town there really is no reason to go out to this dump. I hope it goes out of business.

The place that made Rexburg (well...Archer) famous, Big Jud's is a local success story. Although their Boise restaurant was the site for the Man vs. Food episode, it all started here. Their niche is big, delicious hamburgers, and they do it well. The Big Jud burger is a giant 1 lb. burger the size of a full dinner plate. The amazing thing is that despite its massive size, it is still a delicious burger. Most people cut it into fourths and feed the family. The special ($13.99) comes with fries or tater tots and a soda. If you're a big eater, you can do it yourself--I'm embarrassed to admit I've done it 5 or so times and enjoyed every bite. If you are seriously hungry, try the Double Big Jud burger special ($16.99)--it has two lbs. of meat. I have only tried this once and I finished it, but it was a chore. They also make a 3 lb. version ($20.99), which I've never been crazy enough to try. Believe it or not, they also make great gourmet burgers and chicken sandwiches of regular size. The Reuben burger and the Bleu Bird sandwich are unique and tasty. If you're somehow still hungry for dessert, try the Hungry Heifer--15 scoops of ice cream plus your choice of five toppings. If you are in the area, you must check this place out. It's the quintessential Madison County dining experience.

Took the pounder challenge during my first visit here. Thank goodness for good beef. And too bad for too much bun. Overall, a good burger joint and fun interactions with others dining. I say go for the challenge and crank up your dining experience a few notches. But don't expect to be able to finish the fries...and I love fries.

this place is known for their huge burgers that you can split between 4 people. the bread's a little too big/much, the burger meat is pretty good. i really like the fries. it's a hole in the wall, and you;d never expect it there. it was a fun experience but of course it's i've had better. if you eat the burger by yourself, they'll put you in their wall of fame.
