We didn't really visit any actual sandwich shops during my previous stays in Pocatello but it was time to rectify that by paying Great Harvest Bread Co a visit. They bake their specialty breads daily and make any of the sandwiches offered with the any of their bread offerings that you want. We stopped in twice in a week. On my first visit I scooped a "Groovy Grilled Cheese" with the jalapeño cheddar bread, which was fantastic. The good part is that they let you sample the bread and after I sampled the jalapeño cheddar bread. So much so that I also bought a whole loaf of that bread to take back to where I was staying. On our second visit I had a "Turkey Goddess" sandwich with the jalapeño cheddar bread and it came with harvarti cheese (Danish cheese - very mild) and switched out the regular onions and had it with pickled onions instead. It was amazing! This time out I knew I had to bring something with me to L.A., so I sampled and ended up buying one their pumpkin chocolate chip loaves. It's an epic offering. They switch out their specialty breads daily, so if you were to eat here everyday you would see different breads for sale. They also sell their very own pancake, chocolate chip cookie mixes, and oatmeals. The only thing that's missing here is the craft brew section but that's just wishful thinking on my part.

I used to go to Efresh but now I go here. The sandwiches, particularly the bread, are better, and the prices are cheaper; so it's all around a better deal. They always have around a dozen different types of freshly baked bread each day. I recently moved to Pocatello from San Francisco and the quality/selection of food here is on par with what you'd expect to find in an upscale neighborhood in the Bay Area, minus the expensive prices!

This place was wonderful. On a trip to Pocatello I bumbled into this place (my wife loves good bread, so I guess I am always subconsciously looking for bread places. Well the bread was excellent, the staff was helpful, the extra nick-naks were interesting and if I lived closer, I know I would be a regular at this place!

I like this place. They have different bread every day (you can get a menu) and if you buy something, you get a free fatty slice of bread. Not open on Sunday (like most everything else in pokey). Nice to walk down after farmers market and grab some bread if there isn't some delicious concoction at the market.

Fantastic bread and unbelievably friendly. We found this wonderful shop as we were passing through and decided to check out the historic district. We had lunch and purchased four loaves of homemade bread that we used on the rest of our trip. Excellent!
