Big Block Burger... YUM! Could have used a little more cheese, but I'm also a cheese-o-holic. So take that with a grain of salt. :) Our waitress was exceptional. Ten guests and she was able to keep three tickets strait and make sure everyone got what they ordered. There were some mistakes, but that's to be expect when you've got a large group of people. The important things: Waitress kept our drinks filled. Waitress was polite. Waitress was attentive. Food was top quality Orders were mostly correct, only VERY minor things missed. We left satisfied! I absolutely love coming to this place. As long as long as they keep this up, they will never have to worry about losing my business.

I went here today thinking I would get a great meal after reading all the excellent reviews. Well I did not .I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. I have eaten it, a thousand times at restaurants all over the USA. Never have I been charged to put gravy on the hash browns, NEVER! It's not the $1.50 for the tablespoon of gravy that was smeared on the potatoes it's the principle of it,and as it turned out I'm pretty sure it had soured. I'm still burping sour milk as I write this review. The only good thing was the cfs. itself, It was pretty tasty, but I will never go back again.I probably should give it a one for sour milk gravy.

On our journey from Salt Lake City to Vancouver we stopped at this little cafe/diner for breakfast. It was great! We're always searching for culinary experiences and we found this authentic place. We had omlette, hashbrowns and pancakes. Best breakfast so far and a lovely service. We wish to stop every day here! Greetings from germany!

Having recently moved from south FL to the booming metropolis (sarcasm) of Nyssa, OR, I was pleasantly surprised to find this caliber of burger nearby. Being classic car enthusiasts, we had to stop, just on principle. I had the Bowtie burger and the man had the chili-cheese burger (I forgot the name). They were juicy & delicious and exactly what we were looking for after working hard all day. If you happen to be in the area, just go have a burger. You won't regret it.

A little lackluster. I had the wingnut burger. The fries as always were perfect. The burger not so much, the meat was cooked medium rare which is good for a burger. The taste was missing, the burger was bland seemed like it had no seasoning little bit of salt and pepper would have worked for me but it wasnt present in the meat. The cheese was perfectly melted. There was supposed to be sautéed mushrooms on top of the burger. I requested for sautéed onions as well. But that isn't what I received, I got poorly cooked mushrooms with warm pretty much wilted onions. They should have been lightly salted but werent. They did not have have sweet caramelized glaze that they should have. Portion size was largr which works for me. The 2 stars were for the fries.

This has to be one of the nicest little burger/breakfast place I have eaten. The food is well made and all seems to be home made. The portions are perfect if really hungry... If not share with a friend. Their shakes have ruined me... They are so yummy!!! Now the best part has to be their staff! They are friendly and have suggestions to help a new customer...

Nic: I guess we're going to hear about this one. I'm rating them 1 star, according to your recommendations. Ran: Yeah, and that's one star too many if you ask me! Nic: Well, I just did, and you said one. Still a bit upset then, I reckon? Ran: And you're not? We walk in there on a Friday night, right after seven. Front of the house is packed with a bunch of young kids sitting at the bar, a couple of adults standing around or paying their bills from what it looked like. The place looks busy, but once inside the dining area, there was only one other couple and a family in the back who were eating. With only two tables occupied, that should have been my first clue, right there. Nic: What clue? The family that was eating? Ran: No, the couple that was sitting there with just a drink and an unhappy look on their face. I thought they had a fight but I bet you they were waiting as well. Nic: The woman that walked us to the table and gave us our menus said she'd be right back. Ran: Yes, she did say that. But she never came back, not even with water. And after fifteen minutes, I had had enough of waiting for someone to take our drink orders, our food orders, anything. By now, I had read the menu so many times I knew it by heart! Here, ask me anything, I bet I know the answers! Nic: I bet you do. I didn't mind waiting a bit since I figured she was tied up front with the rest of the customers. But when we gave up and walked out, she was just standing there chatting with some people. That's not right. Ran: Nope, that's not right. And then having the nerve to say "Sorry, guys!" as if it was nothing. Not even a "I'll be right with you" or "I'm so sorry, I got caught up, what will it be?" . Just a wave with the hand and a laconic "sorry". Well, I'm sorry I stopped there. Won't be doing that again. Nic: *sigh* No, I guess not. Which is too bad because their food apparently is really good. I wonder if that couple ever got their food?

I live in Boise and commute to Parma for my job five days a week. I pass this place every day and it only took me about 6 months to actually stop and walk in and try something. This place is definitely one of those places where you think "hmm. Sketchy on the outside" but it is definitely a wonderful hole in the wall joint .... a place that is highly recommended. They have the most delicious things to offer and their homemade pies are to die for. The Dutch apple is by far the best !!! The owners are very nice and welcoming. I've even stopped aroynd 7 am on my way to work, ordered breakfast to go and 10 minutes later I'm back in my car ready to get back onto the road. I think I've been there enough times the owners now recognize who I am :) I've even had friends who also live in Boise drive the 45 minutes to Notus to get breakfast and then drive back. ... now that is dedication ... or a major craving that must be filled. Their dishes are reasonably priced and it is a place I'll even have to take out of town visitors in the future.

"Best case scenario." Outside of Boise, looking for breakfast on the road to Portland. We noticed that yelpers were raving about this place and decided to head out to give it a try. Sunny, friendly, quick service, delicious. The bacon is thick cut, the ham on the benedict is sliced extra thin. I asked for sliced tomatoes instead of eggs and they came shaped into a lovely decorative wave. And juicy. Definitely worth leaving the freeway for.

My wife and I are on out 10th Anniversary today and figured we would hit a new place for breakfast. After checking Yelp, we decided on the Garage Cafe. OUTSTANDING!!! I got the 2 egg/bacon/pancake platter with hash browns. Everything was cooked perfectly. My wife got the pork chop/eggs/pancake breakfast. I tried the chop... it was also cooked perfectly. Breaded and deep fried, it looked like fried chicken and was what I SHOULD have gotten! The pancakes were BIG and tasted like it had some cinnamon in them. No need for syrup. Our scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. Hash browns were also great. Our waitress was friendly and informed us they have a Friday night Prime Rib special and all the meat (at least the beef) is from a local farm in Parma. I think we have found our new breakfast place. Super affordable too!

This place is amazing! The ambiance is worth the drive alone and the food is excellent. We rode over for dinner with a group of Harley's and it poured down rain on us. After our meal the owner or cook (not sure if he was both) walked out unsolicited and wiped our bike seats off for us. What an amazing kind gesture. This place has earned my loyal business anytime I am in the area or need a destination for an evening bike ride. I highly recommend!

After a long trip from Portland, we arrived at closing time. The service was still friendly and inviting, she even offered to seat us! We ended up having a deliciously hand crafted burger, which is fresh ground weekly! The side salad was delicious with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheddar, topped with homemade croutons. Needless to say, I wish I could come by The Garage Cafe more often! Great people, great service, and great food!

We love this little diner in the middle of Notus. It's your typical diner, with hearty breakfasts and burgers, as well as the "omg, you ate all that, here's your picture on the wall" challenge. The food is good, just not fantastic, but definitely worth a stop if you are coming through. We aren't big fans of the finger steaks, though, and those are kinda an Idaho staple This is a good place for kids.

Updating my previous review from last January. Stopped in here tonight for dinner and decided to try breakfast food instead. I had the biggest piece of chicken fried steak ever I think. Food tonight was great, and the wife said her burger was much better than our previous visit. A lady at the table next to us also ordered Ham and Eggs for her meal. She had to cut the piece of ham in half that she couldn't finish just to fit it in the To-Go box! You definately get your money's worth on food.

Outstanding burger joint in the classic small farm town. I'm a big city snob, on a forest fire detour on the way to McCall. Kids getting hungry and wife gettin snippy...quick to the bat phone...find eats. It's not lookn too good. 1/2 hour west of the airport and it's nothing but farms. So we take a chance on the Garage. Dayuum! This place is smokin. Got the double jalapeño burger...forget what its called, the "Burnout" or something. Out of control good. Kids got pancake stacks to the ceiling and everyone left happy. This place would survive in SF. Finding it in a tiny farm town with nothing else around for miles? That gets you 5 stars. A hidden gem.

I have eaten many times and it has never been disappointing. This place hands down serves the BEST pancakes in the Treasure Valley and probably Idaho. There is a special warmness of spice to them with a slightly crunchy edge and fluffy goodness all around. The omelettes are always perfectly cooked with the right amount of preferred stuffings. The service is polite and aims to please. As others have said, the portions are huge. Don't stop at the breakfast menu because I have had a burger and sandwhich here before and they are equally as filling and delicious. This place is definitely worth the drive.

Great breakfast! Fantastic staff! My wife says the Eggs Benadict are to die for. I'm all about the 6 egg omletts! This is an old converted garage - great atmosphere. Nice quiet out of the way place with great food!

Updating my review of last August, we stopped in for dinner last Sunday and brought along our son and his girlfriend this time. Absolutely great. Nothing has changed in a year. Onion rings are incredible! Very friendly staff. 7 stars.

Don't let the distance from this little gem scare you off from giving it a try. We love the Garage Cafe for their breakfasts. I'd recommend the french toast, eggs benedict, or their pancakes. My husband loves their 6 egg omlettes. If you go for lunch or dinner they have perfected the tater tot. Service can be a bit slow but relax and enjoy.

This is the best food I have ever had. The serving sizes are enormous, the severs are incredibly friendly and the prices are more than fair. I eat a huge amount and a $9 salad here fed me for two meals. The milkshakes are amazing as are the breakfasts, the burgers and even the tater tots were the best I have ever tried. Do not pass this place up make sure and stop, you wont regret it!
