I ordered the chili verde and (oh boy!) did they capitalize on the CHILI. It was inedibly spicy. My husband loves spicy food but couldn't handle it. The sauce made my lips feel like they were on fire...it was intense. Needless to say, I did not eat it, my chickens did. My sister ordered a margarita on the rocks. It came out frozen, which was fine, but then she tasted it. It was pure syrup. A premixed bottle with extra corn syrup, apparently. Not a good or pleasant dining experience. We will not be back.

Good food and the service is always really good here! The salsa has good flavor and is very fresh. The chicken nachos and flautas are delicious and the portions are HUGE! I would have given 5 stars but the food is a touch on the greasy side but all in all a great experience

I like to order the chicken flautas, minus the sauce. The food is consistently good and the owner and staff are friendly. I like the way this place is set up with dining and bar area. Yummy margaritas too!

I took my wife and mother in law to jalapenos for Mother's Day we ordered fajitas they had no flavor they were the worst fajitas I have ever eaten the service was terrible the waitress was nowhere to be found , its to bad because I had high hopes for Jalapeno's I will never go back to jalapenos

Best Mexican food I've ever had! It's fresh and delicious, not swimming in grease. So darn good. I always get the Mexican Tacos, and sometimes I splurge on the cheese sauce. Yumm!

OK, I am not an expert in Mexician food but I have eaten Mexician food for years in many restaurants and in many states. Jalapeno's restaurant in Nampa served me the best chicken taco salad I have ever eaten. I gave Jalapeno's a FIVE STAR because of that taco salad. Restaurant decor is so-so, prices are reasonable, but I saw some amazing good looking items being carried to different tables. If you like good Mexician food I would say Jalapeño's Mexician Restaurant is a winner.

Nan: I liked the atmosphere. I had the jalapeño burrito, and it was really, really good! I'd be back in a heartbeat! Nic: Fajitas for me. Chips and salsa were good, service great. Just one of those places, like Chapalas, where you know what to expect, get what you want and leave full, happy and already looking forward to the next visit.

Oh my gosh. I will never go back. I Love Mexican food. Love Love Love it. This is not worth a trip across the street. We ordered the Enchiladas Mexicana. Not good. Not good at all. No flavor but bad. The beans tasted burnt. Like they were burned on the bottom of the pot, so they just used the top layer... Irmas Especial... Description said zucchini and mushroom with chicken in their "special sauce". It tasted like ketchup and sirracha. Not good. We were actually laughing about how bad the flavor was. We are still laughing as I write this about how bad this really was. It came with tortillas. 2 flour tortillas wrapped in foil, that had been left on a hot surface until they were hard. Not just crispy... HARD.

I have been here 5 times since moving to Idaho in September 2012. I have never been disappointed. The salsa they give you with chips and bean dip is so good I wish they sold it! The meat is always fresh and isn't fatty like some Mexican eateries. Staek and chicken are so tender and not dry or tough at all. Fajitas are amazing, California burrito and Burrito jalapeno are outstanding, the Fajita taco salad is great. The steak quesadillas are so good and they are not stingy with sour cream and guacamole. Staff is super friendly, I have only had so so service one time. Other times it was great. They put this yummy cheese sauce on the burritos I forgot to mention. Haven't tried the Nachos yet but I hear they are fantastic. The only Mexican restaurant my family will go to in the Treasure Valley!

I have no idea what the low voting people have against Jalepenos. This is hands down the best Mexican food in the Treasure Valley I've found so far. Great food (some of the best fajitas you'll ever eat) and the service is typically prompt and friendly. Carmela's combo is fantastic too.

Had lunch at Jalapeno's in Nampa today. A big disappointment since my last visit. Service was fair, food was okay, warm, not hot. Had to flag down the waitress to ask for refills on drinks, salsa and a to-go box.

Love Jalapeno's. Have been going there for a few years...Irma is the owner and is a great hostess and owner. She is always personable and runs her business with a passion that should be an example for all businesses. Food is always good, service is always excellent. Food is good. Will continue to eat here.
