Holy good morning. I'm loving this place. I've been traveling for weeks and came in for a cup and stuck around awhile to get a little work done. Coffee is excellent and the ladies behind the bar are divine. If I lived in town I'd certainly be back to get my punch card stamped.

Great coffee and an awesome staff of baristas who know how to make you feel welcome and appreciated. This will always be my favorite coffee shop!

Denizens of Treasure Valley, as much as I love my Dutch Bros and they remain my "default" spot to hit up when that need to caffienate hits... I am always on the lookout for good, local spots to get my coffee fix. So this morning on the way back from the grocery store, I pulled into Big Star Coffee. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and in fact that may put you off a little bit from pulling in and giving it a try. But don't let appearances fool you. It may look a little rundown, but everything about my stop here was first class. The prices are good. My large mocha was $4.60, which is pretty much par for the course. I also liked how the barrista asked if I wanted the full four shots or just three. I find that at a lot of places, four shots is just too much, but three is often just right. On that note, the service was excellent. Both ladies were friendly and I got my drink quickly. The coffee itself was outstanding. As I've said in other reviews, I may not be a coffee "snob," but I know what I like and what I don't... and I really liked my drink. The chocolate and coffee were in good balance and it was not overly sweet. Often I find that a mocha can end up tasting more like a hot cocoa than a coffee drink, but Big Star did it right. Bottom line folks, if you need to caffienate in Meridian and want to go "local" instead of big chain... give Big Star a try. You'll be glad you did.

Came here for a Saturday morning meet up with a friend for coffee. I was immediately greeted with friendliness upon entrance and my order taken. I ordered a caramel mocha, which I found to be well prepared. The place is smallish with only a few tables and a sofa, so seating is limited. They do have two drive-up windows and though they had a steady stream of customers, the baristas are lightning quick--getting people on their merry caffeinated way with speed and efficiency. One minor thing--due to the size of the place, it can be very loud. Between the blender, the loud drive-up bell, and the baristas pounding the portafilter, it was sometimes difficult to carry on conversation. The verdict? They offer awesome, reasonably priced espresso beverages with friendly efficiency--hit the drive through! Get to it!

This is my favorite spot. The coffee is always delicious. The service is great, always friendly and energetic. I go 2-4 times a week. They have awesome deals of the day. I follow them on Facebook and they tell you the night before what the drink is. It's always any size and hot, iced or blended for just $3. They also have a punch card buy 10 the 11th is free!! Excellent coffee and Great deals.

Hit up this joint while in town visiting family. It was stupid hot out and this place helped cool us down with some bad ass italian sodas and iced coffee! Prices are good and the lady working was very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about if we like our drinks! I would go back again any day!

Five stars for Big star! By far the best coffee shop in the Treasure Valley. It is just too bad they havent made their way to Boise, yet. However, the hubby and I drive 15 minutes out of our way multiple times a week because it is the best. I always try their $3 special and when I find one I love I stick with it. But there are a few kinds that I loveeee. And they have cookies. The baristas are always sweet. Never a bad experience.

Amazing and adorable. I love this coffee shop. It looks sort of like it was birthed from a kitschy diner, but the way it has been transformed make it the sweetest, most adorable coffee shop around. You can order coffee on the go by hitting the drive-thru or stop in and sit at one of the tables and read or write for a bit. The baristas are friendly and know their coffee. If you're a coffee lover and you are not attached to the green mermaid place, I would definitely come to Big Star.
