Let's start with...you cannot sit at a table that is reserved for walkins...really we are walkins. Set the tone for the meal ahead.... The filet was dry and unappetizing, I have not seen sockeye salmon that looked like farm raised salmon, and should someone tell them that rice pilaf has been out for years....! Okay, the rice pilaf must have been sold in bulk and it is on eveyone's list of no thank you. The Idaho mashed potatoes were mashed for way too long...runny. The entire menu needs to be modernized! I would think that there are better places in McCall...I will not be back....save this for a desparate moment...like the only place in town that is open and you are starving!

Celebrated my husband's b'day here last night. Everything was delicious from the baked brie to the fresh salad w/amazing homemade blue cheese dressing to scallops, shrimp and steak. The staff were friendly and attentive. Loved the cozy decor and even the music was just right. You can spend a lot if you want to... OR get a glass of house wine and share an appetizer and have a salad for lighter fare. Good choices... oh, and their homemade bread is to die for. We're visiting from California, SF Bay Area... might sound snobby, but our standards are high for fresh choices and quality food and service. They get 5 stars across the board from me. Give them a try. You won't be sorry.

Great restaurant with a very friendly staff! Good steaks and the crab-stuffed halibut was also very good. Highly recommend it for a night out in McCall!

My favorite restaurant in McCall. Everytime I come to town we are sure to have a nice dinner at Steamers. The Chef here is incredible and has always intrigued my palate with his incredible combinations of herbs and spices and medely of cooking techniques. Steak, chops, rack of lamb, lobster the list goes on and on. All incredible and all meals fill an entire plate. They certainly dont skimp on serving size here. I will continue to come here when I visit McCall as this continues to be my favorite place in town. And by the way, they did an excellent job on Valentines day considering how packed the restaurant was.

My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience. We brought our own bottle of wine ($12) corking fee and started with the tuna tartar, it was off the charts delicious then we shared a cup of French onion soup which was great then shared the rack of lamb. The lamb was wonderful with the cab we brought. Our waitress was very good, Sierra, I think her name was. We will go back next time we are in McCall.

$27 Steak was great. Staff treated us well, despite three days on the trail! Deserves it's #1 rating

Impressive menu with great choices. I started with a Pinot noir along with one of the best mushroom soups I've had, Served with a great French bread. My main course is lamb and trout, a little bit of heaven both from Idaho. Of course served with Idaho mashed potatoes. Ha when in Rome, you know! Wow how delicious this meal is. The trout is soooo tender and tasty. The lamb melts in your mouth! Oh yes the Idaho mashed potatoes, perfect ! This is a real class act right down to my server, friendly and prompt. I finished this meal with a tasty port. Thanks Jennifer this was a great experience !

One of the best steaks I have ever had. I took my wife here on a getaway. We went on a Saturday evening. We got there when it opened, so we didn't have a wait. The restaurant was filling up as we were there, so it looked like it was a good idea to go early. Service was great and the food was great. Will come back for sure!

Great fish selection and excellent service. The scallops and oysters were fresh and delicious. No bar but wine and beer available. Prices were a bit high for the area but the food was excellent!

The Tuna Tartar is my happy meal! Chef Darin is amazing. Very friendly staff, food is always consistently great. I've never had a bad meal since moving here in 2003. That's a lot of tuna tartar... Happy hour 5-6pm. Love you guys, you are an icon in McCall. - Jodie Moore REALTOR

Always wonderful! One of the few restaurants in McCall that always has great service. The food is great. One of my all time McCall favorites!

I ordered halibut stuffed with scallops and shrimp. What I actually got was halibut stuffed with soggy bread crumbs, 2 small pieces of shrimp and I could not find a scallop. The halibut was then drenched in some kind of high calorie sauce that hid what should have been awesome meal. Definitely not what was described on the menu. The creme brûlée was tasty but had a scant quarter inch in the serving. Stick to Shore Lodge if you want constant quality.

Great great great sock eye salmon with Caesar salad. I'm very particular about the way my salmon is cooked and they do a great job at it, and it's wild caught!! The service was just fantastic! If Landin is their please ask for her she is very personable and has a great sense of humor. We are visiting from SoCal and glad we found this gem in the little town of McCall!

Super friendly owners and staff. Delicous food. Fun ambience... What more could you want on a weekend getaway? I dinged them one star for the wine list. There are some great Idaho wines that I would like to see on the list to keep the wine list more local to compliment their locally-flavored cuisine. Other than that (and that really isn't a huge issue since I'm a semi-finicky wine person), run don't walk to get a table and check it out for yourself! I had the halibut and, as others on here have said, it is really tasty. Be aware that it is a large portion so you won't need lots of appetizers with it. Try the Syringa Primitivo with your meal... you will truly enjoy this local wine with any dish!

Always enjoy the varied and delicious menu. The service has always been friendly, efficient. I have never had a bad meal there, my favorite place to go when in McCall. Great Food, always open, which I can't say for other restaurants in McCall, all around best place to eat.

Steamers is our first choice for a nice dinner in McCall. They consistently deliver great food. Always hot and always delicious. Our favorites are the clams, french onion soup, halibut special, chicken piccata and the rack of lamb. Salads are big and cold- excellent blue cheese dressing. The wait staff is friendly and attentive even during the busy Christmas holiday week. Decent wine selection too. This is a low key restaurant with a relaxed and casual atmosphere. It's a little spendy but overall worth it.

I don't know if these people have a lot of Yelp friends or what, but this place is not worth it. Food is like having a Trader Joe's frozen dinner. The dining room badly needs a renovation and the staff is indifferent. Dinners are $25-30 range, which is about 4x the quality of the experience. If you want to eat well in McCall this is not the place.

Food was great. The atmosphere is very family/comfortable. The owner and wife were great to talk too. The Halibut with Lobster Bisque sauce was amazing. They should bottle and sell that sauce. Good wine list.

Steamer's Steak & Seafood Restaurant is a great little restaurant with a friendly staff. We were greeted at the door by the Chef/Owner, Darrel; then served by Lori, his wife. The menu had a variety of items from which to choose. We started off with an appetizer of spinach-artichoke dip, served with warm bread. For the entree both my wife and I went with the halibut stuffed with crab and shrimp...additionally, we had our choice of the soup of the day (new england clam chowder) or a house or ceaser salad. If you're in McCall, and looking for a seafood dinner in a casual, relaxed environment, I'd definitely recommend that you check out the folks at Steamers.
