The food was PHENOMENAL, but customer service is a BIGGIE to me and it lacked it. When we got there it wasn't that busy and the front desk girls, who were awfully young, were just standing around, when I went up there and asked if I needed to get my nail on a list she just stared at my blankly and said 'Yup'... So that was awesome, waited a little and than without saying anything she took my friend and I over to a table, we sat down and waited for our waitress for about.. 6-8 minutes. When our waitress came she didn't greet us or anything, she just said 'what can I get you' we ordered quite a bit of food and it came fast, it was hot and great but our waitress never came and refilled our drinks, forgot an item of food and when we did see her again she had the bill for us, I didn't even see her to ask if she could bring me the food I was missing.. So, I asked her to take it off the bill, she did, and we got to go boxes and left. Weren't told good bye, weren't friendly.. Super disappointed by the service.

Very good breakfast place. The omelets were outstanding, especially the Chorizo as I was surprised to get such good chorizo in Idaho. The kids loved the pancakes and ate every last bite. We didn't try any of the lunch items, but would definitely recommend for a good hearty breakfast.

This place rocks for breakfast, so I'm going to keep it short and sweet. Definitely order a cinnamon roll to start and be sure to share because it's the size of a planet. Planet Cinnamon. We shared the McCall omelette, but in a tortilla. The nice thing about this place is you can put any omelette in burrito format. Hallelujah! The loaded hash-browns could potentially cure cancer or at least that's how they taste. The best part of all is the owner let me bring my little puppy inside because they didn't have any outside seating. This place just rocks, check it out!

Pancake house is always our go to when coming to McCall. A huge cinnamon roll for the table is a must. Of course their pancakes are huge and delicious but I prefer the breakfast burrito. All the portions are giant and will fill you up for hours. This place is a definite must when coming to McCall!

Mixed reviews...while visiting friends in McCall we stopped by on Monday 8/24. Quickly got seated and promptly greeted by waitress with coffee pot in hand. The good----pancakes were enormous and delicious...bacon plentiful and tasty....The BAD---biscuits & gravy- the gravy was pasty (too much flour) and had little to no sausage in it. So If you decide to visit stick to what they are named for....Also, while service was quick, I ordered my pancakes without butter ( dislike) but the waitress delivered pancakes with a big glob of butter on them! She corrected it but the rest of my guests starting eating while I sat waiting for a remake....

We were up in McCall last winter and ate here for breakfast one morning. It sort of has a Wild West, homey atmosphere that is warm, festive, and cozy. We walked through all of the shops, and I bought a cookbook written by a woman who lives in the backwoods of Idaho running an outfitter company...absolutely amusing! Anyways, the food was nothing to write home about, except for their EPIC portions, which the kids were just delighted about. All in all, if you're in the area you have to try it at least once...it's definitely a local institution :)

Yet another longtime McCall staple. This place is packed on the weekends and wait times can be easily over an hour. I can only speak about breakfast as that's all I've ever had on the menu. But I can eat breakfast three meals a day. Never had a bad meal here, and never had a meal I could finish. Portions are huge. Pancakes are dinner plate sized and good. The most memorable thing for me is that the eggs have always been cooked perfectly, no matter how I ordered them. It seems like Christmas 24/7 around here, with an attached Christmas store and an antique/coffee shop on the other side. Christmas decorations were still up in the restaurant as of 03/09/14 and the Christmas lights outside made this place glow at night. I love Christmas, so it didn't bother me. Service is spotty at times, mainly due to the amount of people that they pack in here. Not a huge deal, they're always nice to us. Our food has always come out in a timely manner regardless of how busy they are. Make sure you aren't counting calories or carbs if you're going to eat here, but definitely give them a try.

While my family was on vacation in Crouch, ID, we took a day to go up to McCall to spend some time at Payette Lake. Afterwards, we came here for dinner on the recommendation of my mom who had been here once before last year. Since there would be 10 children and 9 adults, we called ahead to make a reservation. When we arrived, there was a long table set up in the middle of the restaurant, all set for us, and our waitress was immediately taking our drink orders as soon as we sat down. The first thing I noticed was the pitchers of water next to a stack of empty glasses. No need to wait for the waitress to bring us water. I've never been to another family restaurant that does this, and I thought it was a nice touch. Because of the size of our party, we actually had two waitresses, and they both took no time at all to get us our drinks and take our food orders. The ambiance was perfect for family dining: noise level was just right, and the place wasn't too crowded. When our food arrived, we were all stunned by the size of the portions. One of my nephews ordered chocolate chip pancakes, and the waitress recommended the small size. When his plate arrived, there were two pancakes the size of a dinner plate! I ordered the fried chicken, and the size of my four pieces would put KFC to shame. Nothing disappoints me more than when I eat out and I feel like I didn't get my money's worth due to small portions. That was definitely not the case at the Pancake House. We got more than our money's worth in fact, and we all ended up taking boxes to go. The food itself was hot, fresh, well-made and tasted fantastic. The breading on the fried chicken was crisp and perfectly seasoned, my mashed potatoes with country gravy were as good mom made when I was a kid, and my broccoli side salad was scrumptious! (My brother ordered the rib-eye steak, and he allowed me a sample. The meat was perfectly cooked, not dry at all, and made me wish I ordered that instead of the chicken.) While I was browsing some of the other reviews of this place, I noticed more than one complaint about the service. I wish I could recall the names of our waitresses because I would love to give them a proper shout-out. They more than deserved the 25% tip we left for them. We were never neglected, and none of our orders were mixed up for forgotten. If you're visiting McCall, this is the place to bring the family. Great food, perfect atmosphere, and excellent service. I can't wait to come back next summer. :-)

Came in to get dessert to go. Server was so friendly even though she had other customers. Got the fruit cobbler and it was delicious! Can't wait to come back for breakfast sometime!

Maybe I was expecting more, because of all the hype over it; but honestly it really was nothing spectacular in my opinion. Every time I have stayed at "The Hunt Lodge" across the street, I see droves of cars going in here and I couldn't help but wonder what was so great about it. So this last visit to McCall, my hubby and I opted out of our awesome free complementary breakfast the the hotel and ventured across the street. I ordered the gluten free pancake, 1 egg, bacon combo. The pancake was good, but kind of dense. I realize gf is not the easiest to achieve, but I have honestly made better ones at home. The egg was a little dry and the bacon appeared to have been pre-cooked as it was already cold and dried out. It was also a little burnt in spots. I asked if their hot chocolate could be made with almond or coconut milk and the waitress told me it was made with water. Boo! Later as I was perusing the menu I saw listed that they did indeed have almond and coconut milk options, so that really irked me. As I sipped it through the straw, I got several chunks of mix. Bummer. My hubby ordered the 2 pancake, 1 egg, bacon combo. The pancackes are HUGE! I will give them that. He decided to get one buttermilk and one sourdough pancake. He too agreed it was really nothing that spectacular. So I guess maybe it didn't matter that I got the gluten free version. Wait staff was attentive but not overly friendly. We tried kidding with her and seemed to be almost annoyed by it. Honestly, the coolest thing about the location was their gift shop. So many fun trinkets, I could probably spend over an hour in there just looking at all the items. They do service lunch and dinner, as well. Did not see this menu and have not obviously tired it. Maybe there is redemption to be made here?

Always a fun stop. Candy store up front and Christmas store in back. And rustic restaurant is a great place to play I spy. If any of you know what that is? If your coming for crepes, pancakes, or cinnamon rolls this is for you. The other breakfast entrees and lunch menu is only fair. Everyone else likes this place so I just keep quiet and eat my mediocre omelette and hash browns.

My husband and I are expecting our second baby in about 2 months. We were both finally able to have some time off work and headed to McCall. We had never been to this restaurant before so decided to try it. Wait time was about 15 minutes which wasnt bad at all. We got seated outside and our waitress Kimmie took our drink order. 10 minutes later and our drinks had yet to arrive, Kimmie came back to take our food order. We ordered and she asked again what we had ordered to drink, after about 5 minutes the bus boy brought our drinks. When our food arrived she asked if we needed anything else, we asked for syrup. Syrup never came. My husband got up to find some syrup and saw our server standing by the door, she pointed to the boysenberry and maple and then thanked my husband for getting his own syrup. Still, she never came back to check on us, instead the bus boy was the one to refill our drinks. The food was good, coffee was good, atmosphere was great, but the service was the worse we have yet to experience. Needless to say she deserved $0 tip but my husband having been a server for much of his younger years tipped the bare minimum. We ended up tipping the busboy a nice amount since he was the one who took care of our table. The restaurant is such a nice place to have a meal but was completely ruined by the inept service we received.

Was highly recommended and didn't disappoint! Very reasonable! You must try the cinnamon roll and the biscuits and gravy were as yummy as when my grandma made them!! Big portions, I'd suggest splitting! It was busy so don't go when you are in a big hurry but if you do wait it will be worth it!! You won't be disappointed!

First time here and all I can say is DELICIOUS. The setup is very antique and cozy. Waiters are nice and friendly. Come check it out!

This the place to be for breakfast. Large country servings with great prices. Connected to a cafe and seasonal like shop with Christmas decorations for all of your needs. Menu is printed on paper to look like a newspaper and the selection of food caters to all even lunch if you're interested. Definitely worth the visit and the wait if you're in the area.

I know everyone else has already mentioned if, so it must be true...but if you want an amazing cinnamon roll you have to go here! And like everyone has said, they are HUGE! We ordered 3 of them to go on our last visit to McCall. The three lasted us 2 days. We just cut little pieces at a time. The atmosphere here is great. The decor is awesome vintage/antique decorations. Also check out the Christmas Village located inside. They have adorable ornaments and decorations.

We were here for a conference. We drove around the town and weren't overwhelmed with our choices. We saw this place on the US 55 with a lot of cars in the parking lot so decided to eat there. The aroma was very welcoming. The menu is good. The portion size was generous. I ordered steak that came with fries, eggs and gravy. My husband tried the mushroom cheese burger that came with soup of the day corn chowder. It was a half pounder as opposed to the other places nearby that serve quarter pounder.Every thing was perfect even the toasted bread that came with my steak. Meat was juicy, crispy and not too oily. Just the way I like it. Perfect!

While pulling into the parking lot and trying to align with the rocks in the parking lot I hit an uneven rock. It scratched my bumper. When I walked in and mentioned it to the person greeting me someone behind me made a laughing sound. Turned out that was the manager! Laughing at an incident of a potential customer, no apology, just so what! I know as busy as the place is this review will mean nothing to them. But if one person reads and heeds this it will be worth my time. The manager is a well "you know what" as all she did was laugh. I will post pics. Sad thing is I have to go back tomorrow when another part of store is open to purchase gift for my granddaughter. Oh the life in a small town!

Exceptional food and service, real home town feel. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Cinnamon roll with boysenberry syrup will change your life:)

Food and service were near top notch. Serving sizes are enormous. Unless you are accustomed to eating very large meals, stay with the one pancake breakfast. One fills a 12" plate. The Belgian waffle is also very good. On the morning we were there the eggs seemed to be lacking in flavor, but I would not let that stop me from returning. In fact, we will try them out for dinner next time we are in McCall.

Had a Chorizo BFast burrito although it wasn't on the menu. Fantastic! A lot of places don't have good ground chorizo. Wife had an omelet and everything was seasoned well and a good portion. Didn't eat lunch cause I was still full.

Was traveling up the west side of ID on my way up north for a long vacation. I happened on the place and WOW. It was a real oasis for my belly. The cinnamon roll is crazy. It's the size of a pie and slathered in butter and icing. OMG. You only need one for a hungry family of four. Everything else was simply perfect. I really enjoyed stopping for human fuel. Would love to go back someday.

Yummy yummy food. They prep all as fresh and hand made as possible. It shows in the product. We were recommended this place and were not disappointed. Had breakfast and should have shared a plate! Love the building and the wait staff.

I love this place and we must stop here if we're in the general vicinity of McCall. Log cabin decor with a gift/Christmas shop in the back of the restaurant. Really good food, absolutely huge portions which always make a good meal later.

What can I say. They give you a TON of food, it's cheaper for what you get than almost anywhere else in McCall, they have an attached Christmas Shop, Sheepskin store, and Antique Shop upstairs. The ambience is outstanding and the food was incredible. The only knock I would give them is that their wait times are unreal. We were there yesterday (Sunday) at 11:20 and the wait was an hour. I guess it's because everyone knows they are the best. I got a Bacon & Cheese Omelet and it was a little over $8. The side that came with it, was a massive platter-sized pancake. We ordered a Cinnamon Roll to go for 3.50 and that was massive as well. I would recommend this place over any other place I went to in McCall this past week. My group went to: Red Pavilion, Chapala, Toll Station, My Fathers Place, Alley Ice Cream, and The Pancake House. I would have traded in Toll Station and Chapala to go to The Pancake House 3 times instead of just once. They serve breakfast all day, and the menu is large enough that there's something for everyone, but not so large that you can't decide or that you need an hour to look at it. Please go to The Pancake House. I told my wife when we got home last night that it would be irresponsible for me to not recommend this place to everyone who lives near or ever visits McCall or even the Boise area. Check this place out. We drove 6 hours with the Cinnamon Roll in the to-go box and it still tasted fantastic when we got home.

Typical breakfast. Everything is great. I'll be back. Only complaints: Came in... the place wasn't THAT busy... but we still waited almost 10 minutes to be seated / noticed. I'm sure that's not the norm, but it was still frustrating. Biscuits were slightly under baked which gave them an odd taste.

The food is pretty good and the service runs like a machine! We used to live in McCall when this place was just a tiny house. I kind of miss it like that, it gave it more of a small town feel. Those Potatoes are a must have if you like bacon, cheese, and hashbrowns. The Cinnamon Roll they serve is huge, covered in butter/icing, and it's pretty good. They have good Biscuits and Gravy as well. For some reason I've always really liked their toast. Other than that, it's just your standard breakfast fare. Back to the building itself, they've expanded so much that they have like 20 other stores in here now. They should have just stayed a tiny little restaurant and I would like this place one more star.

Whenever we come to town to visit (which is twice a year), we always have to save a day to come here to eat a meal. The portions are HUGE and the food quality is great. I love their cornbeef hash. I tried their taco salad and it was tasty, but I wasn't a fan. The dressing for the salad was salsa and sour cream, but I didn't really care for it. I would stick to breakfast foods since that is their specialty. They make great egg benedicts!

Amazing breakfast the service was excellent. You have try the cinnamon roll huge. The breakfast selection were great. You have to eat there if you are in McCall.

This restaurant is so gorgeous, especially amazing around Christmas time when you can go next door to look (and most likely buy) decorations while you wait! Besides all that, I don't even like pancakes but these are not only huge but delicious!

If you want a pancake the size of your face and ass put together (if you are a size 4 that is, an no I am no where near that these days) then go here. No really, this place is the pancake mecca. It is the hot brunch spot. The place is larger than most inns in Carmel and larger than a couple large cafeteria combined (the building that is). You like pancakes? Go here and you will eat some, take the rest home and still have enough to feed you and a couple others. That's what we did. I ordered the "McCall's Best" an omelete filled with cheese, mushrooms, sauteed onions, sausage, cubed thick juicy meaty ham and bacon. Meat lovers choice for sure. Thought the onions would be too much but it added a natural sweetness that kinda made the whole combo of ingredients worthwhile. It came with a side pancake. I chose Buttermilk over Sour Dough (only because I knew my friend would order Sour Dough) and my pancake was larger than the plate it came on and that plate was bigger than my big @ss omelette and it's plate. See pics!

The ONLY thing I have to complain about is the wait other then that the food was amazing and i totally enjoyed it and the service was amazing. Food that was had was the Ham and Chesse Omlet which was so big my dad couldnt finish his hashbrowns. The 6 dollar sized pancakes with eggs and polish sauage. My kiddo and mom shared that. And I had the 2 eggs with hashbrowns and a hamburger patty (i know i know i was in the mood for something different). All of it was amazing. I like the fact the water is at the table. So when we needed refills we could just do it ourselves...I also like they have a good selection of hot teas. For sure was filling and kept us happy until dinner time.

This spot was recommended to eat breakfast by a couple of people. We were told the portion sizes were big & it was not a lie! I ordered a hot cider and Veggie "Those Potatoes" minus mushrooms off the al-la-carte portion of the menu, very good and definitely had left overs for the following morning :) lets just say, our table left with full stomachs & leftovers.

    (4)
  • Santah H.

Still the best! My standby of McCall's Best with Those Potatoes is an awesome and delectable treat. The stuffed omlet, with scads of meat and cheese and lots of eggs is a double or triple meal in itself. Adding the Those Potatoes simply adds frosting to the proverbial cake. These are the things I've ordered for years. They are the staples of this epicurean's delight.

  • Joy S.

You always get your money's worth at this place. The food is classic comfort food and the portions are enormous. I love to get the homemade corned beef hash and the Veggie Benedict with eggs. I never order the pancake simply because it is the size of a twin mattress. Someone will always order one and there is plenty to share. If you don't like to wait I recommend you go more toward lunch time and not on the weekends.

  • Chris H.

This place is an institution - I remember eating here as a kid and loving it. I spent last weekend in McCall and was excited to try it again because it has been many years since I was last there. I recommend calling ahead to get on the waiting list on the weekends. The Christmas Shop is fun to browse along with the antique and gift shops if you have to wait. I had huckleberry crepes and my girlfriend had French toast and we shared 'Those Potatoes' - cheesy, bacony, hashbrown tastiness. Everything was delicious and the service was good.

Best breakfast experience in McCall Period. This place has been a staple in McCall over the years. The food is very good and the portions are huge! The only drawback is the wait. Sometimes the line can bee long. But you know the reason for the lines is the food is great. We come here often. There is a play area for kids while you are waiting.

  • Lance H.

I'm giving this place 5 stars. Even before you sit down to eat, you'll appreciate the charm of the restaurant's architecture. The cabin style restaurant is large and spacious and fits the style of breakfast you'll receive as well as being a great look for the McCall area. My only complain would be lack of enough natural lighting. Unlike many others, we had no issues with a long wait. We were there on a Saturday morning the weekend after the 4th of July with a group of 16. We were seated immediately. Our food was served rather promptly although a few of the 16 had to wait a bit longer than others - it wasn't significant enough to be bothersome though. The servings here are ridiculous huge, to the point of being a bit embarrassing given the epidemic of obesity here in the U.S. A single cinnamon roll will easily serve 4 to 5 people. Almost any order will serve 2 or 3 people. That said, the pricing wasn't much more than you'd pay for a normal serving at any other restaurant. I had the eggs Benedict. They were good. (I've had better, but I wasn't expecting gourmet from this place.) The cinnamon roll was delicious and I would highly recommend (but don't order 1 per person!). The veggie hash browns were great. I'm not sure if I could have substituted them for the plain hash browns that came with my eggs Benedict, but that would have been preferred. I will definitely eat here and at My Father's Place each and every time I go to McCall for vacation.

It was great in the 80's, and it's only stayed the same with age. First off, the quantities at this place are mega-Mega-MEGAAAAAAAA! They're pretty big. Quality-wise, you can definitely find a better breakfast place, but not a better AND cheaper breakfast place, unless you still have a few hours of driving in you before hunger strikes. If you go, order the cinnamon roll. It is the best cinnamon roll (price + Quality x Quantity = BEST) I've ever had. The pancakes are so large that they must have been the flapjacks that began the Paul Bunyan tales. If you don't know what those are, then look up giant in the dictionary to find a picture of the actual pancakes in question. Sometimes there is a line, sometimes there is LOOOOOOONG line. If you're going to have to wait for more than 1 hour, go someplace else, then come back for lunch and order breakfast. Problem solved. Problem solved.

Disclaimer: I didn't get a chance to actually eat the food. I wanted the Belgian (or Belgium, as their menu states) waffle combo (#10) - it comes with eggs and your choice of meat. Since I don't like eggs, I asked to substitute hashbrowns for eggs. Apparently, they don't substitute. Period. So then, I asked for a huckleberry "Belgium" waffle a la carte. The (very friendly) waitress informed me that huckleberry production was miserable this season, so they in fact had no huckleberries. Unfortunate -- especially since huckleberries are a big deal in the McCall area. Since there was nothing else on the menu I was interested in, considering pretty much everything comes with eggs, I left before placing my order.

You are certainly going here more for the environment and atmosphere. Super fun, kid friendly, great staff, mountain feel, great gift shop. The food is typical breakfast food but with huge portions. Even though the food isn't amazing, we still go at least once every time we are in town.

This place is popular and busy, we waited about 20 minutes for a table and it seemed to be "the place to eat breakfast." The pancake was plate sized and not cooked in the middle, the edges were pretty much done but nothing wonderful. The advertising says "homemade" and this pancake tasted like any mix I would buy for my home. I wouldn't look forward to going back, but it may be the only place to eat breakfast if I find myself in McCall, so I just wouldn't order an pancake.

This place truly left a great impression on me. It's an adorable place with super friendly people. The location is great and when visiting in October don't forget to check out the huge jack-o-lantern display outside! Now, to the food. Based on what I had all I can say is "WOW". The portions are HUGE so beware of what you order as you will most likely find yourself taking leftovers home but then again, I guess that's a good thing! I ordered "Those Potatoes" (That's actually what they are called on the menu) and they consisted of hash browns with bacon bits and melted cheddar cheese over them. AMAZING! The prices aren't too shabby for the portion sizes they serve. Their coffee is pretty fantastic, especially on a cold snowy October morning. I definitely plan on returning someday! Eating at this place made my visit to McCall even more memorable!

By far the best restaurant in McCall! The food was great, and unlike the other reviews I actually thought I got plenty of food for my money. Sure single pancakes are around 9 dollars, but considering the fact they're about 1ft in diameter I think they're well worth the money. The waiter we got was very nice and he checked on our table many times during our meal and made sure we had everything we needed. However, the wait is atrocious. We waited for about an hour until we got seated and apparently that's how long it usually takes in the early hours of the day. Overall, I think if you can handle the wait you should definitely come here, you won't regret it.

Every time I go to McCall I see this restaurant and I want to eat there. So we were in McCall for the weekend and first thing I am having my husband take me there. Well it was busy, but we were not even able to get our name on the waiting list. When I asked the "Hostess" if we could please have our name added to the list her reply was "In good time" then she walked off. She is old and doesn't walk much faster than a shuffle. She obviously has to be associated with or one of the Owners because typically people who need a job are not so ungracious unless they are looking to get fired. What a liability. She kept the area around the cash register loaded up with people who already had their name on the list, and had been given a little device that goes off when you table is ready, but were simple too antsy to sit down and wait. What a liability - are you guys hoping to get your till cleaned out? In the meantime, of course we can't get our name even on the list. After about 20 minutes two spots opened up at the counter. So we approached her again and asked if we could have those spots. We still hadn't been able to get her to simply write our name down on her list. She let us sit at the counter. The waitress who was working the counter must have been too damn busy - because she was very careful to never even accidentally make eye contact with us. She gave coffee refills to the man sitting next to us and quickly turned and left. We did finally get a coffee from another waitress passing by. After another 20 or 30 minutes just waiting, hoping someone would come by and acknowledge our presence we simply left. The good news is that the folks at The Lardo Restaurant are always happy to see you. And we were so hungry by the time we made it there we simply had lunch. One thing is for sure, I have a big mouth and I will be certain to let everyone I know about my experience at the Pancake House. It was busy there and we would have happily waited for a waitress, and we would have known that she was swamped. But no waitress ever came. Get a hostess that will actually greet people. Your staff really is not very good.

Worst steak ever. I ordered the top sirloin cooked medium and it came out looking like a pair of loafers. The onion rings sucked. Highlight of the meal was the roll and Dr. Pepper.

The food is served in quantities that will greatly exceed your expectations. Even if you expect to get a ton of food, you will likely be surprised at how much food is on your plate. Don't try to order multiple things for breakfast or else you will definitley get too much food. Even if you feel that you are able to eat much more food that the average person, you likely won't finish 2 servings of breakfast. If you order a cheeseburger without cheese the waitress will make sure that there is no cheese on your cheeseburger. If you ask for green tabasco sauce they do have it and they will bring it for you, even if you want it for no apparent reason. The cinnamon roll is about the size of a deflated soccer ball, and it is amazingly delicious. In fact, the reason I gave this restaurant a 4/5 instead of a 3/5 review is because the cinnamon roll was so amazing. The rest of my food was marginal, but the cinnamon roll was great. It is no mystery to me why they are famous for their cinnamon roll, it is absolutely delicious. It is however a mystery to me as to why the restaurant is called the pancake house if they are, in fact, famous for their cinnamon roll. Shouldn't they be called the cinnamon roll house? I went to the restuarant with 6 other people and we did not have a problem getting our check split. The others in my party had mixed reviews of the food. One person loved her pancakes, the other did not like them at all. The crepes did not get a good review. The mixed omelet was filling but somewhat bland, which seemed to be the situation with most of their food. The french toast did get a decent review. The grapefruit juice was more bitter than is normally expected. The interior of the restaurant is decorated like an old cabin with christmas decorations. The environment is great. The service is great. The wait time is average. If you are in McCall for a few days and want some breakfast but you don't want to wake up and make breakfast for yourself. Or if you wake up very late in the morning and you want breakfast for lunch. Or if you really just like to eat breakfast inside of christmas decorated cabins, you should check this place out.

Once is enough for this place. Service is not great. Food is not great. Coffee is really bad. The whole thing has a tourist trap feel.

It's not horrible food, but it would be better if they attempted to serve it hot. I have only been here twice, but don't think there is much of a chance for a third visit, as both times I went, they served our table's food cold. Cold pancakes should only be eaten at home when you have cooked several pancakes and do not have time to eat them all while still hot. They are the ones on the bottom of the stack that you only eat if you are still hungry or are gorging yourself as I tend to do with pancakes. The place is nice and big and they serve you an enormous plate of pancakes. Unfortunately their quantity/quality scale is stacked heavily towards the quantity side with little attention to quality.

Pancakes are awesome. Cinnamon roll is huge and amazing. Other breakfast items are good too. Lunch and dinner items are only ok. Most portions are huge.

The cinammon roll is GIGANTIC and really good. We shared it among 5 people. The service was great, really helpful and pleasant waitress. I had a veggie salad, nothing amazing but the portions are gigantic. My husband had a really good veggie breakfast burrito. My mom brought us here (we are visiting from California) and she LOVES this place. Overall, I think it is a must see if you are going to this part of Idaho.

The food here comes in huge amounts and is fresh. Even if you have to wait, it's genius that they attached a coffee house to it so that you can have a good mocha or latte or something while you're waiting. And even when you sit down, you can order still order coffee from the adjoining coffee house and the barista brings it all the way to your table! Great service and the food was awesome. I had pancakes and pretty traditional breakfast with hashbrowns. It is about quantity and quality, so I think it's worth the wait if you're visiting there for a few days on vacay.

Fantastic coffe. Cinnamin roll is huge and very good. "Those Potatoes" are really good. Do yourself a favor and order the McCall's Best Omelet. I love this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner not so much. If you are in McCall though, you have to experience this place. There are at least 3 other shops than the restaurant inside the building, a Christmas shop, an antique store, and a gelato/coffee shop. Unique place for sure.

If you are visiting McCall, for even just a few days, you have to stop by The Pancake House. It has been around for ages, but recently an add-on probably quadrupled its size. This means less waiting time!! This place is famous for quantity and quality.
