Holy cow, what a shocker. We are frequent visitors from Southern California to Lewiston, and we have long lamented the lack of top restaurants. We went to Mystic Cafe a few weeks ago for dinner--3 adults, 2 kids plus a toddler--and it was stupendous. It felt like we were in some urban hipster place in Seattle or Brooklyn, not that that's a prerequisite for us, but really, I couldn't get over the style and yumminess. For those inclined, it offers a wide array of vegan, gluten-free, etc. stuff, but we weren't leaning that way. We had really top-notch gnocchi, a spicy jumbo shrimp dish, and "airline chicken" for the grown-ups, good kids menu as well. Crisp, fast, professional, friendly wait-staff. Snazzy decor with folk-y antiques and persian rugs, lots of exposed wood beams, etc.; live music (although we didn't stay for that); and a cooler of interesting bottled drinks and a deli counter full of baked goods and salads to go. Fancy enough for date night, but casual enough (it's Lewiston, after all) that they took the 6 of us in cargo pants and without reservations. Just pinching ourselves that now we have a place we actually aspire to eat at when we visit; looking forward to a breakfast there because that menu looked great; see their web page. Clearly, for whoever the owner and management are, this ain't their first rodeo.

Went on Friday evening, waited 30 minutes to be seated, they were very busy & had some large groups. The owner kept propping open the door & it was freezing out! Our server was very nice & attentive, even bringing extra bread for the bread & dips app! I had gnocchi--very large 2 bite gnocchi (i prefer smaller) it was ok but lacked something. mom was not impressed with the ham sandwich. Daughter had a chicken pasta dish & liked it. It cost us about 60 dollars for 3 people. We probably won't be back, too expensive & had "odd" choices for entrees.

Stopped while traveling because of the reviews and so happy we did! The decor is really well done, knowledgeable staff and really good, fresh food. I had the street tacos and the quinoa/chickpea salad - both very flavorful and more than I could eat. The hubby was very happy with his turkey wrap and the Kobe burger my son had looked wonderful. They are both looking mighty content so I think this stop was a big win.

Been here about 8 times for lunch And loved it. Decided tongi for dinner with wife. It's way better for lunch. Dinner menu is small but lots of specials. Issue is ask lots of questions. Our service was awful. Though we said we had a gluten free person she could not explain dishes. Felt it was way high for what we got and food was very slow. By the way they talk about sides but 4$ for a bad chowder from a can and a dinner salad.

This place is amazing! We dined in Lovejoy and the atmosphere couldn't be beat. The staff were very friendly, the decor was awesome, and the food...calling it delicious would be an understatement. They also have micros on tap that you won't find anywhere else in the valley. My standard of dining is rather high from living in Walla Walla for 6 1/2 years and Mystic Café definitely is up to par. I had the special of the evening which was a crab crusted salmon with hollandaise sauce on top of champagne risotto with asparagus on the side. Everything was cooked to perfection. Dessert was a custard trio: chocolate cremé brûlée, flan, and caramel popcorn mousse. The decor is very cool...they had a railing that was bent rebar and steel piping welded together and many very old photographs. I will definitely be back!

It was whatever. It was good and all, but I think if I pay fifteen bucks for a burger, it should make me weep with joy. I got an obviously previously frozen patty and not enough blue cheese or anything on it. They were out of iced tea and garden salad. I got there at 11:45 for gods sake!!! Anyhow I got the kale salad which was very nice. I got the chicken curry soup and it was very good. So I would go. Ack for some of that soup but I would never get a burger.

My wife and I stopped for lunch on a shopping trip to the LC valley; we each got a wrap, each with a salad from the choice of 6 salads. All the food was great ! They have a separate rotating dinner menu that looks really good, too.

Really very delicious food, but a bit pricy. But when food tastes this good, it should cost more than a fast food burger. This place is highly recommended, especially if you go there on a weekend with live music. The food is wonderfully prepared and why are you still reading this? Go now and get something to eat!

Very good, interesting combinations of glaciers. Friendly staff. We are looking forward to coming back for dinner.

Overall good atmosphere, but the dinner menu is lacking options. It seems like the lunch options are what you would expect, but dinner was disappointing. Small servings and underwhelming flavor along with high prices left us wanting more for our money. My overall impression was that the carryover from the coffee shop this location used to be has detracted from what the restaurant could be.

Five EASY stars...the rib-eye is a very safe choice, with its perfect pairing of sides. (my girlfriend ordered the gnocchi which was so full of flavors that id have a hard time choosing out of the two). Amazing service too. It was a slow night, but they're very attentive and knowledgeable. ...gawdDamn that was good!

Great lunch, so glad we stopped. I had the BLTA with Rosemary fries. My husband had a burger. Both excellent. Highly recommend!

Good food and decent service. Drinkable coffee too! All in all one of the better stops we made during our last tour of the West. We had breakfast sandwiches which were fairly priced and tasty. Served on actual toast, not warm bread.

First date night in awhile. Atmosphere was cozy, the menu was our kind of eclectic. Knowledgeable about the wine list and local brews. I had the ribeye and the wife had salmon. There was an issue with her dish but they worked hard to make it right. We were comped her dinner and a dessert. The valley needs more dining options like Mystic Cafe. Cassidee was our server.

Great hideout though I'm not sure you can hide here anymore. I really like the atmosphere. Food was great and the wine was very good with a modest price. The server was excellent and we will be back for sure.

Wow was this a surprise! Cute atmosphere, good service, excellent/gourmet food as good as some of the finest in SLC. Server was fantastic. Allowed us to sample wines before getting a glass- that was great. BEST Gnocchi and french fries Ive ever had. Wish we couldve come back for breakfast.

Great food! Had a roasted beet and kale salad plus a pork chop entree. Good eats! Great atmosphere. A bit pricey but the vibe was worth it.
