Chef Alonzo was absolutely charming. Though the interior could use some updating (even a candle on each table and dim the overheads would make a world of difference) the atmosphere was lovely. I ordered the perfectly cooked elk burger that was served on a savory foccacia bread nestled in with caramelized onions and thick sliced beefsteak tomatos all complimented by a Huckle berry and Marion berry compote. This was far and away the best elk burger I have ever had. The entree also included flash fried kale chips seasoned with sea salt and a balsamic reduction drizzle. And if it couldn't get more perfect, a hearty portion of their home cut pomme frits powdered with Parmesan cheese rounded off the plate. Superb! My dining companion ordered the seared sesame Ahi tuna (medium rare) that melted in her mouth. The tuna was accompanied by an orange marmalade and for contrast a strict Wasabi sauce that kept her senses dancing. This entree was rounded out by a nest of cool glass noodles and mandarin oranges sprinkled liberally with rich black sesame seeds. This too was an excellent meal. We were so satisfied by our dinners that we didn't leave room for the lavender infused creme brulee. I guess we will have to go back and start with dessert first!
This place is amazing. We came here for our 9yr anniversary and I must say they blew our minds away. The food was amazing. The chef there really knows what he is doing, but it didn't stop there. Chef Alfonzo(?) is also the bartender and he made the most amazing drinks I have had. He knows his way around food and liquor. I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone!!
Came here two nights in a row! Drinks and food were very tasty. The filet was cooked to perfection. Chef Alonzo made us delicious drinks! Will definitely come back next time!

We decided to stay here for our weekend hot springs gateway! Place looked like it used to be a church, now they have 5 cute rooms downstairs for bed and breakfast. Two of the rooms come with private bathrooms, others share. We stayed in the peacock room which located in the back with private tub. It was very romantic, and let's just say we got very good use out of it. The owner and the chef were so nice! They have excellent customer service. Our hot breakfast was yummy too. We are definitely coming back again!

Lan T.'s comprehensive review really said a lot more than I ever could. I have come to this place for decades and not a lot has been updated. They added a new scalding swimming pool off the entrance which was definitely appreciated. The rooms at this inn are more basic than the pack of Delta Omegas at Coachella during Skrillex's performance last year. Just a bed. And a few towels. Bathrooms are of similar quality. To me, it's an aura of charm. I personally don't mind the nigh-decrepit state of the hotel as the real attraction are the pools. Did I mention the pools? They are pure bliss. It is impossible not to feel relaxed in these things. My advice? Come in the middle of the week to avoid the masses of screaming infants, bro-ey financiers, and lecherous teenagers. Hotel staff are kind and generally responsive to customer demands. Oh, you should definitely bring ear plugs. The walls are wafer thin. I haven't had breakfast here in some time, but it's nothing special one way or the other. Definitely one of Idaho's best kept secrets!
We were tired and on our way to Nevada - needing a "fun" and "new" type of overnight break from driving, so I found this place. I was nervous to stay in the Inn based on some not so great reviews. Ultimately, it was clean and felt like you were staying in your weird great-aunt's guest room. Nothing super fancy. The bed was....ok....not extremely comfortable. The bathroom is across the hall, which, was a new one for me, but I went with it. For the price of the room, you get unlimited hot springs access and breakfast the next morning. I found these to be necessary in what seems to be an expensive night's rest at an "OK" sleeping establishment. The hot springs are great! So cute. And drained regularly. The staff was so sweet - filled with only the sweetest old ladies. The breakfast the next morning was surprisingly DELICIOUS. I felt like I was at a family home, waking up on Christmas morning to a smorgasbord of breakfast delights. IT IS ALL HOMECOOKED. THE COFFEE MUGS ARE ON A WARMING PLATE! I would do this strange adventure again...
Checked out at 9pm and drove 2 hours home. The very loud hotel has paper-thin walls, unadvertised shared bathrooms, horribly uncomfortable beds and they charged my card for 2 nights instead of the reserved 1.

Family came here for breakfast after staying at Home Hotel for the night. Breakfast is basic. Nothing spectacular. The hollandaise sauce seemed to come from a packet you just add milk to. I had a breakfast sandwich which was fine. Kids menu is legit. Coffee is what you'd expect from a little mom and pop place. Service was good. Cute atmosphere. Not many places for breakfast in this little town so this was fine.
We came here on a Monday. I wanted breakfast, but unfortunately that ended at 11:30 AM, and I am not an early riser! I opted for the chicken sandwich with pineapple, and my boyfriend ordered a half ham sandwich on wheat bread. He got one trip to the salad bar with his, and I ordered the sweet potato fries as my side. We usually do this to share both sides. Both of our sandwiches were good, the salad was good, as well as a sweet potato fries. They were really crispy! Oh, and the pickles are good! The coffee to me tasted a little watery, just like what you would get at any old place, or even a gas station. Nothing special about it. You might think it would come out differently by looking at the coffee chalk art on the walls. Nevertheless, coffee is coffee when you're in a small town like this, and you get what you get! The service was fine, and it didn't take long to get our food. The waitress brought out ketchup and fry sauce, which is great for us Utahns! Our total bill was $18 for a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, a half sandwich with one trip to the salad bar, and one coffee. Yes, I would return, but need to remember breakfast is over at 11:30 AM!
This is the sort of unique place I like to go to on road trips. I made a detour off a trip on I-15 both to see the town and to find food. I'm vegetarian, so there weren't many options, but I got the soup/salad/bread combo -- the vegetable soup was a little underwhelming (lots of cabbage and carrots, on the plus side; not much flavor, on the minus) but the salad bar was pretty adequate for a place like this. The homemade scone (what I would call fry bread, but I guess they call that a "scone" in Idaho and Utah), which came with copious butter and some jam that tasted homemade, was great. I had a hard time picking between the five different kinds of pie on offer, but I got the chocolate cream pie, which was dreamy. The other vegetarian options (unless it's breakfast time -- unfortunately, they only serve breakfast until 11:30am) amounted to pasta, salad, or a few appetizers. (Including fried pickles, which I was sorry to not get to try.) The WiFi worked, which is always a nice surprise when you're in a remote place.
