On the way home today decided to look for a small burger dive. And I definitely found one... And no I don't drive a red Camaro and have spiky blond hair. If you understand the reference. I'm not that cool. But I will tell you I had a great burger! And the frys and steak frys were also very good. The seasoning and fry spicy sauce were awesome. The cop that pulled me over for 57 in a 35 also said the burgers are the best. :) I will also tell you it's the BEST burger i have eaten all year. This place was a find.

Food was great, but the cooks in back (I could see them) were stuffing their faces with food. Also, the Hispanic waitresses were speakung Spanish making fun of the customers (I am fluent in Spanish). Very unsanitary and unprofessional. I've been at stevos many times, but my most recent experience was horrible.

Such an amazing local spot to try! I loved my experience with my server Rocio (I think). I wanted a steak "girl style" meaning low carb and smaller portions. She suggested the steak sandwich with out the bread, condiments on the side, side salad and of course an order of both type of fries(not low carb but totally worth it ). She was spot on and ensured I had a great meal.

The steak fries were thick cut fresh Idaho potatoes. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad had crisp greens and firm tomatoes with homemade ranch. The fish was just ok. Cod with all the same shapes but cooked to a light flaky consistency. Would definitely come back.

The service was fantastic and sitting outside under the potato sacks was very cool.......but the food could use a little work. I had the trout and it was very dry. I smothered it with sauce and pretended I liked it. My granddaughter had butter pasta but there was so much water at the bottom of the bowl that she could eat the last part of her dinner. My husband had a burger that was very overcooked and chewy. But, the fries were the hit of the dinner. Between the three of us we ate every single potato on the plate. I don't know. Maybe we went on a bad night.

This places has, in the past, been an excellent place to eat . You could bank on good food and good service. But lately the food has become way over priced and the quality has gone down hill and has became hit and miss on if it will be good or bad. Tonight the fries they served us tasted old and stale. The service has gotten worse and worse. Tonight it was terrible. It took 20 minutes to order, food came slow and the drinks never got refilled. I like this place but thru need to get their crisp together to keep me as a customer.

I am from the North Carolina coast and know all about how to cook fried shrimp. Stevo's knows how to cook fried shrimp. They cooked the shrimp just right. Not too long like most places do. The service was great and the server even made some great recommendations. Did I mention they have great fried shrimp?

My husband and I probably eat here about once every 2 weeks and it's never the worst. We have great experience as far as what we order. It's getting it and ordering is the problem. I love the food. I will pay the extra charge they have for take out. The reason why is because the service they provide is usually a hit and miss. I don't mean to say horrible things but the Staff speaks in their language if you know what I mean. And speaks it loudly throughout the kitchen so you can hear it in the dining area. As well as they seem very arrogant. I know sometimes you don't have the best of days, but keep it professional and leave your emotions at the door. And I understand when it's busy it's hard to keep everyone pleased.. But this place is always busy.. You'd think that they would have more than 2-3 servers a night. Especially on a Friday or Saturday. All in all.. Great GREAT food. But the customer experience as far as service is very much lacking.

I tried this place hearing that it was excellent. The service was good and the prices were fair. It was a Friday night and the place was packed so I figured it was the place to be. It was not. I ordered steak fries which varied in thickness from a potato chip to a potato wedge. So some were cooked to a crisp and some were barely done. I am glad I didn't get the regular fries as my wife's had no brown color, were limp, and looked and tasted like the were "fried" in a microwave. All four of us ordered burgers and every single one was overdone and dry to the point it was barely edible. Thank you for free refills Stevo's! I would have rather had Burger King. Reading other reviews I know these guys put out good food sometimes, but I won't be back to find out.

We stopped by this place on our way home to Denver. For being such a small town, I was surprised at some of the prices on the menu (the cheapest burger was $9 and some of the baked potatoes were fairing over $15). We stopped just after the lunch rush around 2pm, which seemed to be the time when the entire restaurant staff was taking a break. Because of this, service was extremely S-L-O-W. I split one of their burgers and their chicken and cheese baked potato with my partner. I will admit that although the food was pretty tasty. The steak fries that came with my burger were also pretty rockin', especially with the two different kinds of fry sauce that came with it. My only gripe is that when you are in a hurry to pass through this small town and get back on the road, it can be extremely aggravating when you are trying to get the bill for your meal. All-in-all, Stevo's did not turn into one of those horrible roadside stops you sometimes hear about and my GI tract was positively thankful. If this small-town joint happens to be in your travels when you or your travel companions have a hankering for some sustenance on the open road, I would definitely stop.

Always a home town favorite. Salads are always fresh and on point. & you can never go wrong with cheesy steak fries and chicken. Service is hit or miss but other than that I'd highly recommend Stevo's.

Thank you Yelp! I've travelled the lonely I-84 corridor hundreds of times and always thought I was stuck with fast food. Stevos was great and the perfect antidote to fast food freeway cuisine - this was great food! If it wasn't three hours from home, I'd come back Friday night too!

My in laws recently moved out to Rupert. After a night with them we wanted to grab a bite to eat before we headed back home to Buhl. Steveos was highly rated, and I didnt really pay attention to the bad reviews since the good ones made Steveos seem like the best burgers around. My god was I mistaken. We get there and the place is packed, good sign! The waitress was beyond rude, dont even know why she is there if she hates her job that much. Oh well, hard to get great service and great food right? Too bad the food was as bad as our waitress. $10 burger and fries. I think they gave me a hockey puck and some fried shoelaces. The burger was so dry the bun was more moist than it. So overcooked the inside of the burger was a beautiful grey. Potatoes so overcooked it felt like chewing on twigs. Absolutely no flavor in the burger, even when you get it the first thing that runs through your mind isnt "this looks great!" Its more like " I paid ten bucks for this?!" Do the owners realize that burgers can be cooked medium and nice and juicy? Do they think by turning it into charcoal it adds flavor? I dunno, but very disappointing. Didnt realize it was that hard to make a burger. Id rather go to Mickey D's instead of going here again. You want the best burgers around? Hudsons in CDA, $3 burgers, 50× the flavor.

Wow! I travel here for work every so often and I make this place for dinner every time! The fries are tied for the best I have ever had (tied with IN and Out) so you know they are amazing! Hamburgers are all good and they have jumbo baked potatoes prepared any way you can dream of (a whole meal or more). If you like good local restaurants try it once it's the only time you will need then u will be hooked.

The last time I ate at Stevo's was in June. I had the giant baked potato with steak and cheese. It was delicious! I've also had the trout in the past, which was great. I enjoy their french fries, and if you ask they will fry them twice. That makes them extra crispy! I noticed a few bad reviews given in the last few weeks. Is it possible they got a new cook? As for the service, I don't recall the waitress being rude, but I don't expect to be treated like royalty. I just want to eat.

Excellent burger and real fries (not frozen). Came in at 1 pm on Thursday and the place was hopping. Served in 10 minutes!

Ate here a few months ago. Friday night about 8 pm. Had to stand in line for 30 minutes. I heard it was popular but I think the wait is due to not enough servers and bus people. A bunch of tables came open right before we arrived and it took them 15-20 minutes to get them cleaned. The food was very good though. Not sure if it was worth the wait but good.

A pleasant surprise off the highway. Our group enjoyed hamburgers, baked potatoes, and kid-friendly Mac-n-cheese (from a box, but it worked). Way better than fast food. Efficient service, clean. Thank you Stevo!

Ghastly.... Simply ghastly. A horrifically overcooked sliver of meat... Dust has more residual moisture than the burger did, accompanied by a heap of "steak fries" that are more improperly cut kettle chips that were ironically underdone, then inundated with enough sodium laced seasoning to send the entire Mountain Time Zone into a hypertensive pre-stroke delirium. Zero stars if it was Yelpian possible. Really... It was that bad... Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere in the Burley/Rupert area.

Much to my surprise, this place was good! A few of us went here while on a business trip. We asked the hotel where to eat and he said you have to got to Stevo's. So, we did. I had already heard that their fries of either type are good so I wanted to get a dish with fries. I had already decided to get the trout but asked the waitress what she recommended. Luckily, trout was on her list! It came with salad, bread and I opted for steak fries. The only complaint I had is that the salad came with a house dressing that I really did not care for. Otherwise, everything else was good. The trout was not dry at all and had just the right amount of spices for me. If you are in the Burley area and are looking for a good place to try, head to Stevo's!

WOW!!! Driving here tonight I almost missed the place as it was a much smaller looking building than I thought it'd be. I read the reviews here and a few others online, and all of them raved about Stevo's. Trust the reviews on this one for sure. Three of us had the burgers, and one of us had the fish and chips. Everyone was extremely satsified with their meals. I tried the Stevo Super Burger with the Steak Fries. HUGE buger and the fries are simply amazing with the seasoning that is on them. We are working in the area over the next ten days, and we will definitely be making this a repeat visit at least two more times. I heard people talking up the steaks they serve as well, and they have a back page on the menu for you BIG Spud lovers. Eat here, you will NOT be disappointed.

We were in town for a funeral and this place was recommended by the hotel staff. Although the place was completely full when we got there, a table soon opened up and we were served by friendly and helpful staff. I had lamb chops, which were tender and tasty. My father had a Rib-Eye steak and although it tasted good, it was tough. My mother had the shrimp and she said they were excellent. They have a special salad dressing that I loved and a special spicy fry sauce that was also very toothsome. Overall, despite the tough steak, we really enjoyed the food and the restaurant. We liked it so much that we went back the next day for lunch. Dad and I had burgers with fries and mom had the Linguine Alfredo. Although the fries were good they were greasy. I would definitely recommend the place and would have awarded five stars except for the tough steak and the greasy fries.

Awful! Burger was way overdone, cheesy spud plate had fake liquid cheese and drenched the food, and our waitress was unhelpful. Food was overpriced.

On the reviews of other Yelpers we decided to have lunch here. I asked a couple how the is and they said it was their favorite burger place. The burger and fries were very good. I got a mound of fresh crispy fries-actually way too much for me-but I couldn't stop because of the dipping sauce. To top it off the couple who I had talked to paid for our lunch. If you ever read this you two thank you for your Idaho hospitality.

This place is better than anything else in Burley! Great burgers, awesome fries (do the 50/50), and take a look at the spuds!

While it doesn't look like much from the outside, this is a must try in the Burley/Heyburn area. Keep it simple -- burger and fries. The burger is so fresh, you'll swear it had a name and wore a bell just a few hours before. The steak fries (potatoes... Idaho... hello?) are seasoned just right and are cut like au gratin potatoes, thin and round. Also, you can try the trout -- it's a local favorite and a local catch. I liked it, but not as much as burger and fries!

Stopped in on our way to Salt Lake after viewing good reviews on Yelp. Food was excellent, burgers and fries, but so much better than the typical fast food. The steak fries were really amazing, a must. If you are driving through Burley/Heyburn, ID on I-84, it's well worth stopping and trying.

Tried Stevo"s on other yelp reviews. Small joint with great burgers and good beer selection. Around 20 micro/specialty beers and your regular domestic beer choices. Good service and good food. Happen to be passing through but would stop again next time around. Wine and dessert choices looked good. Think I'll try the steak or lamb chops next time.
