Went here with a party of 8 to celebrate my fathers 75th birthday! Service was amazing, food was great, atmosphere was cozy, and very hospitable for our big group! Very enjoyable!!!

My husband and I were looking forward to great Italian dinner- well, not so much... Read some mixed reviews on Urban Spoon but tried it anyway. Hubby had the spaghetti and meatballs - he said you can't go wrong with traditional! Very disappointing - said it tasted like it was out of a can. Server finally appeared with parmesan cheese 15 min after it was served, but even that couldn't help it. I had the veal marsala which was cold, very thin sauce, not much flavor. Angel hair side also cold and tasteless. Ceaser salad mediocre - very old tough romaine. Got a tiramisu to go - horrible! Dry, cardboard-like cake with artificial tasting whipped cream. We took two bites and threw it out! Great atmosphere, but terrible food. Will not go back.

Not the same owner as the one in Eagle. But we all enjoyed our food. Service was great.

This was for nine years our favorite restaurant in the area. As locals we have eaten here perhaps fifty times. The inside has been recently perked up with new paint and curtains. This is a cozy steamy place in winter with the snow falling. The summer deck has views of the surrounding hills, and the stars. It is tiny, smells of Parmesan, and reservations are a must. Unfortunately the menu hasn't changed much (well, except the prices) since we first came here. It is pretty limited fare, served simply, and is usual pretty good. Nothing is pretentious, and nothing is truly special. The bread and salad (served family style), with every meal are the best feature. I have never had a bad salad at DaVinci's. There is plenty of variety if you are here visiting - but it is frustrating if you eat here more than twice. We have fun with the waiters, reciting the daily specials before they can. Charles and Doug are wonderful fixtures of this restaurant, and tolerate this with good humor. The dinner tonight was very consistent with the thirty or so times I've tried the chicken picata in the past. I alternate between the picata and the meat lasagna sometimes adventuring to the egg plant. My partner's spaghetti carbonara was much better than average. Unfortunately the mussels weren't available (we do live in the mountains and this happens). The big disappointment was with the dessert. There should be a rule that when you order something, it should resemble the thing that you ordered. If you expect a Tiramisu to be moist from a gentle soak in brandy and made up of dry lady fingers and mascarpone cheese, and a dab of espresso and a light dairy fill, than you will not recognize this frozen dried out slab of recently thawed artificially flavored cardboard masquerading as a chocolate cheesecake. . What really aced it for me was that while I was trying to douse the aftertaste with a pitcher of water, the owner's wife reassured me that it got rave reviews from some of the customers. I don't know. It may be awhile before we return. But if I were visiting the area, I would still make a visit to Davinci's, and if you do come, try their mile high frozen chocolate ice cream cake.

When I think Italian I think of great food, family and fun. We experienced all the above. It was an unexpected pleasure of great service and good people willing to personalize the evening in a way only Italians can. The bread was magnificently warm, the Caesar and House salads so fresh and the tomatoes - wow. We had the whole spectrum from the traditional meat ravioli (which you can never find) to the piccata and my salmon (the special of the night was truly remarkable). The deserts were portioned like my waistline. If you're looking for Italian and you have to want to find it (it's tucked away off the Main Street in a modest looking home) then this is the place in Hailey

Last night I went to dinner here for my 30th birthday with 10 guests. We spent well over $300 plus tip. The owner, Jen, was our server. She was rude the entire time, huffing and puffing, rolling her eyes, and mumbling under her breath because we asked for refills on our water and other typical things. The meal was sub-par for DiVinci's-- I've eaten here hundreds of times over the years and always loved it. We didn't complain about the poor food, however, and politely asked that she split the bill 2 ways, which was clearly laid out (a number of us are servers, so we understand how frustrating splitting a bill can be). Jen again rolled her eyes and made a comment about it being inconvenient. When she returned with the bill, I asked her to please be respectful to us and stop rolling her eyes. She replied that she would be happy if we never returned again! What a shame she is to females, business owners, and and humanity! The prices have doubled since I started eating here and obviously the service is abysmal! Don't waste your time or money on such a horrific woman!

I spend many nights in Hailey for work and this is one of my regular stops. I love picking which pasta, which sauce and which other ingredients to add to make dinner for the night. It has always come out great. The salad and bread are excellent.

DaVinci's is a great little Italian Restaurant on the edge of civilization. Two hundred yards away is the edge of town and you can see Elk and Foxes hanging out in a field. Nonetheless, the Italian food, particularly the lasagna is great. We had great calamari as an appetizer, followed by a great salad. The salad came in a large bowl for the table, and we all had seconds! For desert we shared a Blackberry Crisp with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Throw in a couple of Red Hooks, and a nice Cabernet, and the four of us had a great evening.

It's simple. It's pleasant. It's fun. Davinci's is an unpretentious dining spot that serves tasty food at reasonable prices. The bottomless salad bowl served with Tuscan bread was nothing short of excellent. And, the waitstaff is a charming group. Expect a good dining experience at Davinci's.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
