Slow service. Inattentive and with the whole restaurant open... I mean the whole restaurant, they sat everyone that came in right next to us. Food was "meh!"

Stopped in for lunch. It was ok at best. I ordered fish and chips. Fish was pre made frozen and the French fries were average

The atmosphere is awesome, service is friendly and attentive! I ordered the top sirloin and baked potatoe and it was 5 star quality at a 3 star price! I recommend to anyone whose in the area to come to Oscars if you want great food and quality service! Not to mention the management is very customer oriented and likes to interact with the customers to find out what's appealing to them. Plus Wade is a great server/ bartender and is extremely attentive! If you want a restaurant that caters to your needs where you don't have to wait to be acknowledged then Oscars is where you wanna go!!!

Strange experience. This restaurant seems to be ran by kids. Salad was see through & old. Soup was out of a can & over salted. Pastrami sandwich & prime rib wrap were okay, it's hard to mess up cheesy- mushroom-meat melts. The ice tea tasted funky, which I thought would be hard to mess up too. Half way during the meal she dropped off the ticket & disappeared. So we went to the front and it was super awkward to pay because there isn't a hostess /cashier station. They acted like they were busy, I don't know what they would do if there was more than 4 tables. PS the waitress was COVERED in hickeys. It was both concerning & distracting.

I tried the steak and eggs and it was very satisfying. If for some reason you pass by Grangeville make sure you get your breakfast at Oscars.

So glad to see they turning things around! Well done, bringing the deserts by table, fabulous. Keep up the great work. Oh and the food was very average

Called the new owner to set up a team dinner for 30 High School softball players and coaches. They were incredibly accommodating, made us a huge spread of pasta, chicken, bread, salad, drinks and dessert. It was waiting, hot, for us when we got there and the service was outstanding, even on a busy Friday night. Great food, wonderful service and very accommodating.

Stopped in for dinner at Oscar's last night while vacationing in the area. What an unexpected surprise! What a fantastic restaurant. With the handsome decor, relaxing atmosphere, top-notch service, and amazing food - Oscar's is a gem. We started with steamer clams, then steaks with a pat of blue cheese butter (the side of sausage stuffing was amazing!), and finished with decadent chocolate tort cake. I rarely write a review, but our experience warranted it!

Stopped in for lunch on the way back to Boise. The restaurant was busy, so we hit the lounge. We didn't wait long to get drink orders in and got our food orders in shortly after. The beer came in frosted glasses. Major plus for me! Our burgers were grilled just right and tasted so good! Buns were toasted, and the onion rings had a nice batter. The restaurant and lounge so busy, one of the kitchen staff was helping bus tables to make sure guests had water before the had a chance to order drinks. The waitress/ bartender was so fun and quick. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us. If you have time, stop by Oscar's. I will definitely be back.

From an out-of-towner, we had great service first of all. Food presentation was great and had the prime rib sandwich which was amazing, highly recommend. Sampled the caramel carrot cake and coconut cream pie dessert which were fan-tastic!

I used to like Oscars, so I was looking forward to eating there when I arrived in the area this past week. I was very disappointed in them. I have not had a worse breakfast in my memory. I ate breakfast. I ordered a simple fair, so it wasn't any special needs problem. Two eggs over hard, sour dough toast, hash browns, coffee, water. The water was good as was the coffee. That is about it. The toast had zero flavor and was dry, like stale. The hash browns would not hold together at all, it was like trying to eat soup with a fork. The eggs? Oh my gosh! The were hard alright. They had taken them and cooked them on one side, then they took the weight, you know the one they use with meats like pork, which I don't eat and put it on my eggs! I could see the telltale silver aluminum mark and they were flat. I don't mean flat as a pancake. Nothing so thick! You know the card board on the back side of a note pad? Yea, that is how thick it was and I am not stretching the truth here. I am fine with Oscars. I will go to hilltop next time.

New ownership and horrible food, lazy staff, cooks/servers smoking at every chance they get! Sat there for their grand reopening day with 4 tables filled in the restaurant so it was very slow. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks, 1 hour to get our food, and the waitress brought my husband 1 cup of coffee and never returned to give him or I a refill! she was too busy flirting with some male patrons sitting around the corner from us. Bottom line, food over priced cold takes waaay too long young immature rude waitresses got sick for 2 days after eating their chicken! go to hill top next time!

Really good food! We went for lunch one day and had a great beef dip sandwich and fries. Went another day for a to go order of clam chowder soup. The to go order was packaged up great, complete with silverware, butter, bread and napkins. The building was a fun, old brick building.

We enjoyed a great dinner of chicken fried steak and parmesan chicken with blackberry pie for dessert. We went back the next morning, and I had a vegie omelet that was as good as you can get anywhere. I do recommend this hometown gem.

I much prefer the lounge of Oscars (Brodocks) to the restaurant because of atmosphere. The restaurant has a very cold atmosphere and a jacket is even encouraged. Brodocks may get occasionally loud, but it is so comfortable. I love their shrimp cocktail and steak and seafood platter.

Total random stop coming thru Idaho- and wow it was an experience! New owners had just taken over apparently and the atmosphere was rockin. The service was great, friendly and welcoming. They had good beers on draft- local and yummy. I had the steak bites and a loaded baked potato- so good! My friend had the black and blue burger and holy deliciousness! Fully recommend if you have the the time to stop by and enjoy a great meal.
