I am giving it two stars solely on the atmosphere - great paintings and upkeep. Other than that, my experience with the cups of Joe here have been mediocre at best. Most of the coffee I have tried here has either been too strong or too watered-down. Unimpressed, I went over to try some hot chocolate instead - same story... and the prices are enough to empty wallets. Almost every time I have come here, the seating has never been adequate. Wi-Fi campers clog up the comfortable couches forcing some outside or on the floor. On Friday nights the place is rocking with loud music and crying babies - very difficult to have a conversation. So as of late I have come here for the sole purpose of tagging along with friends as the role of seat/table saver. Those services have been eminently successful.

Great looking place with tons of potential, but that's where it stops. We have been there several times hoping it would change, no such luck. On our last visit, the order was long in coming. When we finally got our breakfast, the eggs where cold, the yolks were hard, and the order was completely wrong. The tables in the outside area are falling apart and the area had not been cleaned or cared for. To bad, with some effort and upkeep, it would be a real winner. Sadly, we won't be back

I worked and lived in Eagle for a significant time and loved the idea and ambiance of Rembrandt's. HOWEVER! Their customer service is horrendous. Every time I have gone in it's as if the employees are personally offended that you had the audacity to come to their place of work and order something. You are never greeted or treated kindly, and in a business that is supplemented significantly by tips, you would think that they would go out of their way to ensure that you receive great service and they in return a tip.

The music was so loud it hurt my ears... The service was extremely slow it took 20 minutes at least to get a latte and a white mocha... The only saving grace to this place was the coffee was decent.

Coffee is something that you shouldn't have to wait 45 minutes to get especially since there's Starbucks right down the road. The building itself is wonderful but the staff is below par for such a high priced establishment as well as the food it's good but after waiting 45 minutes and only having half my order it becomes very hard to come back to this place even if it's a very beautiful building. I'd possibly give this place two stars if they maybe had idk 2 registers open so you didn't have to wait 25 minutes to order but every time it's like a train wreck happend and none of the staff have any idea what their doing. Sadly I probably won't go back because this is way to pricey and the service is worse than McDonald's.

As many have mentioned, the ambiance is excellent and the art is very enjoyable. That alone makes it one of my favorite coffee shops in West Boise. However, what brings me back again and again are the breakfasts, I love the omelettes and the pastry. I'd go there even if they didn't sell coffee. This is a fun place to go and to bring friends, the only challenge is leaving, I never want to!

We went there last night for what I thought would be dinner. Turns out they do not sell any "cooked" food after 3pm. I was kind of annoyed by that, but they had some great looking sticky buns and some Mac N Cheese that I was assured was awesome.. Well, I guess we all have our own definition of awesome. Anywho, the sticky bun was so so, and the Mac N Cheese was not even as good as that. On a positive note the coffee was excellent! I was turned off by an enormous "tip" jar right where you order and pay for your coffee.. I get annoyed by the pandering for a tip when you really haven't given me service other than handing me an empty cup and telling me where to fill my coffee. Also, someone in our party ordered a coffee type drink that had to be made and delivered and the young lady who delivered it didn't even respond when she was told thank you for delivering it. I guess maybe the place is just a little too hip for me and my money. While not a terrible experience, I definitely will not be back unless I only go for their coffee.

I've never been impressed with Rembrandt's the few times I've been. Sure, the ambiance (sometimes), building, art and community interaction is great but that's where the good stops for me. On weekend mornings, it feels more like a cafeteria than a coffee shop; you can't find a seat, babies crying, people bumping into you. Not enjoyable. I've never been satisfied with my drinks either. I asked for a lemon mate iced and the Batista immediately told me teas couldn't be iced. So I had to explain to her how to toss hot tea over ice. And there was a ton of loose mate in the bottom of my glass. Also, when I say "soy" it's not a suggestion. Took a big ol' swig of my "soy latte" made with cows milk. Gee, thanks..... On the upside, I've had a cinnamon roll from there, and it was tasty.

One of the center pieces of Eagle. We not big coffee drinkers, but we love to hang out there. Its crowed because people like it here.

Right now, the best coffee shop in the Boise/Meridian/Eagle vicinity. The eclectic coffee shop serves coffee that is made right (you would think that's easy, but thanks to Starbucks for killing one of the most enjoying beverages). Complemented by fresh pastries and cool atmosphere Rembrandt's easily lands 4 stars (i've a VERY harsh critic :). This place is a must to anyone who appreciates good coffee...

Good coffee and quiche! And surprisingly busy for 10am on a weekday. If Portland is where young people go to retire, Eagle is where 30 something go to retire. Anyways, great staff and great atmosphere.

Rembrandt's is a great place to have a coffee drink with a friend. It does get noisy at time so we normally go to the back room if to many people are in the main area. Every time someone comes to visit Rembrandt's is on the list of places to visit in Eagle. We appreciate what they do for the local community and partnering up with Full Circle Exchange is amazing.

I am not going to give u a huge list of the menu items they carry or a description of the converted church etc all of this has been reviewed very well I would be just repeating others. This is my most favorite coffee shop in the whole treasure valley and I have been a customer since they opened. I know they tried a 2nd location on State st and it wasn't there very long I am not sure what happened there? Love the art the books the music the staff love it all. Great meetup place and the quiche is my favorite

I'm not kidding. This is about as good as it gets. Coming from a "big city" (Seattle, and all around), I have yet to experience such a satisfying start to my day, then when I visited Rembrandts, while on vacation to see family. Located about a block out of Boise Idaho, in Eagle Idaho, these guys set the standard in "starting the day off right". On my first visit, I happen to stop-in because it was the one place within walking distance from where I was staying. I was simply going to get coffee. Yeah .... that was a shot in the dark, but once I saw a couple of plates coming out of the kitchen, I knew I was in the right place. My first thought was: Eggs Benedict. But then I realized, I only had 5 minutes to order it by 11am, and was about 5th in line. Sure enough, when I got to the counter, it was 10 after, and they had broken-down the breakfast prep. No worries .... their twist on a Philly Cheese Steak was so tempting, breakfast seemed to be far away from me, instantly. While sipping on one of the best Breve's ever known to man, waiting for my "brunch", I realized that if I could, I would drive here for my coffee everyday. But that didn't top it .... here comes my sandwich .... thick-sliced roast beef, swiss cheese, onions, green peppers and more, on a ciabatta bun with a house-made chipotle-style spread. I couldn't have asked for more .... GREAT Philly! I spent the rest of the day wondering what the next day was going to be like. That's because, my first plan was to go to Rembrandts. I was going to tackle that eggs benedict, if it was the last thing I did on my trip. Now ... understand, that I am a HUGE fan of eggs-benedict (especially my own) so, I am even more impressed when I am out-done. Which, in this case, I was ... by a LONG shot. This is by far, hands-down, without a doubt, the BEST eggs benedict in the world. 10/10. Couldn't be better. So, at this point, I am now an addict. I MUST HAVE BREAKFAST the next day. Well, I'm on vacation, so I better try what I can, while I can. So, I go for the bacon-quiche. Again, not a darn thing to be worried about. At first, you think that $6 a slice is kinda 'hefty'. But, once you get about 3/4 of the way through it, you also think that is kinda 'hefty'. Trust me ... it'll suffice! All I know, is that if I'm going anywhere within 75 miles radius of this place, at anytime in my life, I'm making sure to get a table. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. And quick note: Ask if Katie is on that day. She is one of the BEST Baristas around. I used to work for Starbucks Corporate, and Katie makes Starbucks look like 7-11.

Remmies is fabulous most of the time... It is ginormous with plenty of seating, but I still often have trouble finding anywhere to sit and if I do find a seat it is absolutely no where near one of the three outlets in the entire place. My weakness is chai tea and comfy sofas, and at Remmies they never disappoint me on either one those. The staff can get a little annoying at times. Some are very young and like to share their personal gossip with their besties that are usually hanging out there. To wrap this up, if you can find a comfy sofa and an outlet I'd have to ultimately recommend Rembrandts. Believe me, it's still wayyyyy better than the ity-bity Starbucks in Eagle.

The hot coffee was on the lukewarm. I don't think this was a fluke since all the selections were this way. Ate a bun that had nuts and a hard Carmel on top. Flavor was good but The Carmel was cooked to the candy stage and was impossible to cut with a knife. Ambiance is mellow and the dining area would be great to meet groups of friends.

Love the ambiance of this place - very unique. The food is good, but a little on the pricey-side. Plenty of seating inside and out. Great for business meetings. Can TEND to be a little loud due to the natural acoustics (was an old church building), and the schedule of when they are open can be hit-and-miss due to them using the building for private events occasionally.

I wish i could find these locations near my own house! this place feels more at home to me than anywhere i know. . . I can remember studying for Chemistry finals in high school at this very same location, and returning to the hallowed ceilings draped in art of all fashions brings my heart a sigh of relaxed happiness. everything has changed, yet because it feels just the way it did when i left, there is a simple, stable consistency in the level of quality everyone delivers here. Because we all love good food, everything i have ever eaten off the menu at Rembrandts is delicious, a great stop for breakfast/brunch. coffee is cool, sometimes you will catch them roasting their own beans in the corner of the shop.

Awesome granola. Other food is decent. Cool environment and has comfy seats. Long lines in the morning, but service is fast. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but If I am in the area and not too hungry, I might stop by.

Great mood in the place, yummy food (I had the biscuits and gravy). Was meeting a new client and it was on their suggestion that we meet there. I now know why.

I love the building and all the artwork inside. The baked good here are amazing, and with cinnamon rolls the size of hubcaps and frisbee-sized cookies, there's always enough to share. Meals are presented beautifully, and with the large outdoor patio and funky sofas, it's a nice place to sit and linger over good food. The frustrations arise with the hours; often they're closed when you'd assume they were open, as they're holding a private event. I accidentally walked in on a wedding reception and only realized my error when I was a few guests away from the bride in the greeting line. Oops. The brewed coffee here can be just so-so, and the darkest roasts don't seem particularly stout. However, I appreciate the refill policy (first is free, then $0.50 afterward in an honesty box) and the availability of soymilk, stevia, and other hippie beverage add-ons. Prices are above what I'd expect, but it's Eagle after all, so that's becoming the norm. Overall, Rembrandt's is a good place to go when you need somewhere to relax with coffee and a friend.

The breakfast burrito was tasty, but not real impressed with the sticky bun they warmed in the microwave and they got hard. Not impressed. Overall nah.....glorified Staryucks.

I'm on a quest to find the best quiche and this was attempt #3! I was hoping that the third time would be a charm...but alas, this was the most average quiche I've had thus far. The spinach and mushroom quiche had no substance (it was literally falling apart and melting away) and also lacked any real flavor. The poblano quiche had good flavor but it would not be worth the trip to come here just for it. Both quiches suffered from a poor filling to crust ratio (too much filling, too little crust). Maybe if the filling was super amazing, it would be possible to overlook this but instead it just made things worse. The baked goods here are also average. The almond croissant had chocolate in it (a nice surprise) but it definitely is not the best I've had. The blueberry scone bits were actually really good and something I would have again if I was ever in the area (unfortunately, I rarely ever venture to this area - not worth the traffic headache). The raspberry Danish seemed to consist of wheat bread and custard with the taste being similar to something I would buy from a grocery store. I did enjoy the strawberry cake they had, but the taste reminded me of a Boston Crème Pie from a grocery store as well. Service was great - the people working there were very friendly and efficient in getting my items packed to-go for me. They forgot to write the heating instructions for the quiche on my boxes but I winged it and things seemed to turn out ok (although, once again, the amount of filling proved troublesome when it came to heating the middle thoroughly). All in all, this would be a nice place to stop in for a decent baked good if you are in the area, as the atmosphere was nice and the employees are friendly. Unfortunately, this place will not be painted in my memory.

Sad day. This used to be our favorite breakfast place in our hometown but it has slipped dramatically in every way. The place was nearly empty today (Labor Day) at 11AM and they were out of almost everything and the kitchen was backed up for 45 minutes which was strange since only a couple of tables were waiting for food. This is the third time we have had a similar experience. Admittedly, I'm not a restauranteur but would think that management would plan better especially with a few years of experience in the local marketplace. There are a number of restaurants in Eagle and Rembrandts better pull up their socks or they won't make it.

Absolutely love this place. Whenever I'm in Boise for a visit, I always want to go here. Their breakfast is fantastic (biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, out of this world oatmeal) and so is their coffee. All sorts of fun combinations are available. It's especially unique because it used to be an old church so there's really no other place quite like it. They also sell all kinds of unique fair trade and global gifts. Add super friendly staff on top of it all and you have a 5 star coffee house!

  • Michele R.

Tasty eats at fair prices and funky fun vibe in a universally accessible space re-purposed from a church. That's the good stuff. Woefully disorganized service leading to painfully long delays in the simplest of orders, lukewarm coffee and no soap in the loo. That's the needs improvement stuff. An AOK stop for us on a Sunday about noon for a bite of brunch. We might try it again next time we're in town. COOL VIBE: Seating inside or out on a nice patio. A sign that says "Social Justice 365 days a year" or thereabouts greets you near the outside entry and with peace sign in the inside lobby, you sort of know before you enter whether this will be a fit for you or not. Bright colors on walls and furnishings with a mix of sofa seating with coffee tables and standard height tables and chairs in the largest dining room and in standard height tables and chairs in a smaller dining area at the back. UNIVERSAL ACCESS: On the social justice theme, delightful to see a ramp built at the side of the building to allow people who can't climb the stairs in front equal access in the door to participate. Should be a given at this point (23 years into the civil rights law of ADA) but it is astounding how many places ignore the standards and keep in place barriers to equal access. Kudos for getting it right here. THE DRILL: Stand in line and order at the counter from options printed on blackboard overhead or which appear in the case. If there are printed menus around, we'd look for that next time as it was tough to see what were the options on the blackboards and there really was no one available behind the counter to answer questions until one got to the register and by then it was too late without holding up the line. Pay for your order, they'll give you a number and bring your food to your table. Eventually. SLOW SERVICE: As the woman sitting at the table next to us got up, holding her number in one hand and her coffee mug in the other she nearly wailed, in a comical way, "It's only a lemon bar! They only have to put it on a plate. How can that take fifteen minutes?" But she was chuckling too. As were we about our own delayed service and that we had all needed to clean up the tables of left behind dishes from other diners in order to find a place to perch since the staff would walk through the dining area and leave empty handed themselves. Our table neighbor asked a good question about the "how". Because one could see staff bunched in the kitchen and then come out with something on a plate, wander around, go back to the kitchen with plate, come back again to the dining room and wander some more. When they finally found the "home" for whatever they were carrying, eventually our order too, they were uber friendly and sorry for the delay. Seeing other reviews here, seems our experience with service chaos wasn't an anomaly. Therefore, to have maximum enjoyment at Rembrandt's, I'd say set your expectations to the low side for service and you'll be happy. All that as needed was to pop our quiche in the microwave to heat it and put the coffee cake on a plate and it took over 20 minutes between our order and delivery at the table. Eventually our lemon bar friend had to tug the sleeve of one of the servers to get her order. GOOD FOOD & VALUE: Jessica K. is absolutely right about the poblano chile quiche here being the best. Serendipitously my hubby and I ordered that to share and loved it. Also had a great cream cheese filled coffee cake. It was also delicious, delicate crumb that was just the right foil for the cream cheese inside and just sweet enough. Serving sizes were so generous that even sharing both items, we had some to take away for a snack later in the day. Two coffees (@$1.75 ea) + one delicious quiche ($6.50) + one yummy coffee cake ($2.25) = $12.25 for eats for two with some to take away. We thought it a good value. THIS N THAT: 1) TIMING: If our Sunday visit was typical for crowds in and out, looks like a good lull to be able to get a seat is around 12:30. 2) THE LOO: I have this thing about hand washing. Which is I choose to do it after using the loo. Yet there was not one drop of soap in the ladies. With the "employees must wash hands signs" posted and not one drop of soap. Well. Hmmm. It may be picky of me, but it deducts a star right there.

Rembrandt's can be a victim of it's own success, meaning when things get too busy the kitchen and help can struggle to get even the simplest things out in a timely manner. But, if you go when it isn't jammed to the sideboards, like today at about 9:30 AM, they do a pretty good job. But, we have found going in on the weekend days can be a Zoo in the pre Noon period. The patio was a great locale this morning, but it is getting close to the invasion of the flies season. Their strong points are their muffins-especially the Morning Glory muffin, the Quiches, granola, sticky buns, and others. Their brewed coffee is hearty and deep definitely not a Boyd's or Farmers'. Don't particular care for their cottage fried potatoes. If they had a 3.5 I'd click that as I would come back but only when the crowds are reasonable. I won't go into the accessibility as Michele R. has done her usual excellent job and they haven't changed since her 2013 review. I didn't check the Loo for soap, though, Sorry.

Heart breaking!!!!! Have you been out to Eagle lately? Used to be a perfect place EVERYTHING is dilapidated! Furniture filthy, spills around the coffee supplies, crumbs in refrigerated case, rugs worn out, dirty pillows on broken down furniture, light bulbs out, plants dead, dusty, tacky signs Way beyond shabby chic The pastry looks like teenagers made it START OVER. Bring back the days of taste in decor and details......get professional help to bring back your original place and people who know the food business as a profession ..... Not a stand in to sling hash Decor and food need professional help SAD!! Owners must have other interests out of town

this is a review of their events services. I can't speak to their food or drink as I have not eaten there. I tried to inquire about using their facility for hosting my wedding. Their website said they did weddings, I thought the location was beautiful and my fiance is a coffee fanatic, so seemed great! I called first time, left a message, no response. After a few days, I tried email. I did get a response, but was told that someone else would contact me. I waited a week, no response. So I called again and left another message. Again, no response. I couldn't keep waiting so booked another venue. Needless to say I was disappointed by what seemed to be disregard for my business. Their loss, I guess.

The coffee is so so.... (I compare everything to starbucks coffee) BUT! The food is better than most of cafés here and is priced the same. And not to mention the great wide open seating. It has a awesome meeting area in the back, you can reserve it and is really a fairly large area it can seat 25 easy. On Thursdays a Leads group called "The grotto group" meets up at 8am and is always open for more business owners to join. As far as pricing it is what it is. The coffee ranges from $1.25-$5 a cup depending on your drink of choice as well as the size. No matter the coffee you drink or food you eat, this place is a must!

This was our favorite date night hang out place when we lived here. Friday nights were great.Every other Friday night there were movies and free popcorn! The opposite Friday nights were open Mike nights! Before the entertainment there would be awesome snacks for sale and the best coffee in Eagle, a really cool ambiance, and a ton of board games. It was sad to visit last month to see that they aren't even open at night anymore. But they still have a huge selection of coffee as well as a great selection of food.

Rembrandt's atmosphere and niche charm is amazing. The deserts are scratch-baked onsite. Unfortunately, the coffee and service were just OK. I take that back... the coffee was awful. The service was OK. They made a small error in my order, and it took about 15 minutes after my order was placed to receive my lemon bar and latte. It's definitely worth a look.

Loved this quirky coffee shop. The coffee and treats were good and the staff was engaging and personable. My niece and I stopped by and found out it was open mic night, so we stayed. We loved the variety of personalities and musical styles and the interaction from the crowd. If I lived in Eagle, this would be my hangout.

Best quiche I've ever had! Three days in Boise meant three delicious quiches and coffee! Day 1-mushroom and spinach quiche! Creamy, flavorful. This was my boyfriend's favorite. We also got a berry scone but this was a lot less memorable and was left to the wayside as we devoured the quiche. Day 2-Chile quiche-hot and cheesy. This was my favorite. We had a little more time this day and dined in. Wonderful cathedral like space with quirky art and comfy seats. Cozy place to hang out and chat. Day 3-On the run again. Grabbed the classic quiche with a topping of bacony goodness. Still great but didn't steal our hearts. We also spied a tasty cinnamon roll we later regretted not trying. Nice selection of great tasting coffee, fabulous quiche. The service was quicker than quick. The products were a little on the pricey side, but overall a great way to start the day.

What a turn around! :) They had a recent change of management and menu changes. What a difference! The coffee is great, the service is awesome, and the food is the best!! I love, love this place a lot. I'm from San Diego, ca and everytime I come to Boise I have to make sure to stop here at least once. The eggs benedict and white mocha are to die for. Ray was so helpful and funny. We loved her. She even gave us free cinnamon rolls because our order got screwed up. Thanks Ray for making our visit to Rembrandts sooo great!

  • Christian M.

Alright, so I will say rembrandts has a very comftorable atmosphere and has nice art hanging, but as someone who truly loves coffee, it's not very good. The baristas are not trained properly, but there are occasions that someone that worked at another shop, where they were trained, works there and can pull a good shot. I asked for ristretto shots and they had no idea what I was talking about. It's been about three months since I've been there, but for the most part the coffee was burnt, and their iced coffee was more like dirty water. Don't go out of your way to triple brew it or anything...... Their boba (bubble tea) is okay until you get to the boba itself, which is generally hard in the middle. This place has a really cool vibe, but i think it gets 5 stars because its a bit "ritsy" compared to most coffee shops, and folks in eagle are definitely fans of the fancy. All in all, if you're in eagle and want a place to sit, browse the web/socialize its a great place, but if youre jonesin for a good cup of the dark stuff i would say go elsewhere.

  • Mary A.

The coffee is the best thing about this place--in fact you can sit and watch the beans being roasted--kind of interesting. I don't think the food is exceptional and sometimes when I've ordered eggs they arrive lukewarm. It can get pretty noisy in there and I wish the music could be toned down, after all people are there to drink coffee and chat with their friends. It's hard to do that with loud, rock-type music blaring! Still it's become kind of an institution in Eagle and a place to meet your friends. I will say that all the specialty coffee drinks as well as the fresh brewed coffees are good and they are served in ceramic mugs, unless, of course you are ordering coffee to go.

My favorite local breakfast restaurant in Eagle. This remodeled church has become a gathering place for an ecclectic mix of families, professionals, artists...a true sense of community, great service and delicious food is what I love about Rembrandts. Weekday mornings Lynn and Chelsea provide great service - greeting everyone who walks through the door by name. Amazing...great way to start any busy or kick-back day.

Awful is the best way to explain my experience. They got our order completely wrong. We had ordered bubble teas. Tapioca not cooked enough and they use powdered flavoring, like nestle strawberry chocolate milk powder, so disgusting. It took two attempts to even get the right flavoring that we ordered. We ordered eggs benedict and it was pretty gross. Quiche was dry... And everything overpriced! Will not return! Not like I remember when they first opened.

Over the past several years, we have really enjoyed Rembrant's. Over the last few months however, service has declined significantly. Wait times are long, tables are not cleaned, and coffee is empty many times. We tried one last time today, after leaving the last two times, hoping for an improvement. Wishful thinking! After waiting in line for over 20 minutes (I was 3rd in line), I found they had run out of red potatoes (8:30am Sunday morning), no cups were available and we needed to use paper cups, and the coffee/creamer was mostly empty. The poor cashier was taking orders, serving customers their orders, answering phones, and fixing orders. None of the staff seemed to notice there was a problem. This has been my experience the past several times when I left for another establishment. I noticed others leaving this morning also. I hope things change soon before too many other customers find alternatives as Rembrant's really used to be cool place to visit. Right now, however, it's not worth my time.

This is my favorite favorite place to go and hang out, gab and drink coffee when I venture to Boise. Who ever thought I would be drinking coffee in what was once a church? The atmosphere is great and I feel like I am in one of my favorite coffee shops back in San Diego. The coffee is great and when you buy their beans they donate around four bucks a charity that supports folks both locally and globally. I think it is cool. I also picked up a handmade mug to take back to San Diego. Love it!! Will be back soon!!

Rembrandt's Coffee House in downtown Eagle offers so much more than just coffee! The crowded parking lot is a great indication of a bustling café inside this converted church at 93s Eagle Road close to the intersection of Eagle Rd and old State. Do patrons visit for the coffee, the pastry, the artwork, the atmosphere or all of the above? Boldly painted walls, unusual light fixtures and interesting art for sale all add to the ambiance. If you like Gothic, eclectic, and funky then this is your kind of place! Several large menu boards hang overhead while a large glass display case tempts the taste buds with a variety of quiches, cheesecakes, lemon bars, tiramisu, and brownies. One menu board is devoted to fair trade coffee, Chai, Italian sodas, worldly teas and bubble tea. Another menu board offers breakfast and lunch options. We went to Rembrandt's hoping to order breakfast and lunch entrees but our arrival at 11:07 left us with only the option of lunch as breakfast, sadly, had ended exactly at 11 a.m. Breakfast items include several choices of quiche, omelets, and bagels; egg burritos and eggs Benedict. Cinnamon buns and enticing muffins were also available. Lunch offerings included several varieties of salads (such as Caesar, Marketplace, Stonebridge) in the $6.95 - $7.95 price range; and sandwiches/wraps for $7.95 - $8.95. Sandwiches (including chicken and aioli; Philly steak; grilled tuna or make-your-own) are served with a choice of potato salad, chips or coleslaw. There is also a child's menu with rather bland items such as the standard grilled cheese and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. Orders are placed and paid for at the register. Wait staff delivers the food to your table with the choice being indoor dining or patio seating. Since we were intent on having a quiet lunch we opted for the patio. An artsy fountain in the courtyard is surrounded by numerous tables and chairs with large umbrellas and tastefully potted plants. Some attention to the patio is needed as many of the tables were warped and some of the umbrellas wouldn't open but otherwise it was a pleasant place to dine. Our meals were made to order and promptly delivered to our table. The Caesar salad had an ample amount of shaved cheese and croutons. It was accompanied with a delicious wedge of fresh bread. A turkey, avocado, and bacon sandwich on thick grilled bread included ample large chunks of roasted meat and crisp bacon. The raspberry Italian soda was cool and refreshing in a large glass filled with ice, however, on a hot day the 'fill your own water in a tiny plastic cup from a self-serve container' option as well as no ice left a lot to be desired! The web site lists hours for breakfast, lunch and evening appetizers/snacks. Several events occur weekly at the coffee house including family movie night and jazz night. There is no menu offered online. Consult the web site for serving times prior to visiting: rembrandtscoffeehouse.ne…
