Great place. We came here after seeing the potato museum and the History museum. Been open since the 1950s and is just a great place to remember the all American experience. Of course we drive up and push the button and get so excited. Ordered the all American no onion, fries, and a chocolate shake for the real American experience and it didn't let me down. Amazing food. Really nice staff that laugh with you on your experience to eat good food.

Delivering boxes to the potato factory, stopped by the museum. then to Ruper's great place good food great staff chillie was good the all American burger was very good ice tea was great, I reminds me of a good all American place to eat brings back good memories of how great this country is. P.s I wish I would have tried the shake they looked so good.

If you're traveling the I-15, passing Blackfoot, STOP! Rupes is All American, great flavors, family owned & worth it! Get a double stuffed pastrami! Get the jalapeno poppers with raspberry sauce! Get a root beer, vanilla swirl cone! The shakes rock, burgers yum, you can't go wrong with classics! Thanks Kevin & gang for keeping it real! -Adam & Sara (Vegas) Update: pastrami wasn't on Rye anymore, and wasn't double stuffed, but the rest was awesome and the same! Oh man, don't miss the poppers!

Well, first off the waitress was cute so that always helps. I have been here two or three times, whenever I am in the Blackfoot area. The steak is always good, very tender. Fish and chips are good also. Friendly staff, very good prices. You can sit inside or drive up to the car-hop service outside. Just a very popular, small town burger joint that fits the town of Blackfoot perfectly. I wish there was a place like this in Idaho Falls.

We love to go to Rupes, the food is good and ice cream choices great. In the winter they serve great soup. They have a great reuben sandwich!

If you think McDonald's is great you will love this place. I went here because it was the highest rated restaurant in Blackfoot but all it was was pre-pressed frozen burgers and grocery store buns with frozen onion rings so nothing special. But it was cheap, clean, service was good and fast so I have no complaints there. Just don't go there expecting anything special.

We stopped here on our way to the Idaho Potato Museum; Rupe's is right across the tracks. What a delightful hamburger place! They have a drive-in, as well as an eat-in dining room. It was chilly out, so we opted to eat in the restaurant. They were willing to make us a half basket of tater tots mixed with onion ring bites-- delicious! We each tried a milkshake; my boyfriend got the peach, and I got the coconut. Our burgers were very tasty. Great place to stop if you're from out of town, a lot of local flavor here!!

Classic burger joint. Burger, fries and shake were all good. Fries could have had a bit more flavor to them but that's not the style of a place like this. Definitely worth a visit.

Moved to Blackfoot in July 2011... Visited Rupe's one afternoon after picking up boyfriend for work and thought it would be something different... He had the famous hamburger and I had the fish. I would never get the fish there again as McDonald's fish is better then Rupe's; however, he stated the hamburger was very delicious. Have not revisited yet even though it is only about 6 blocks or less from our house. It is a very busy location and it seems to be very cool as it still has a car hop or order from a window outside and you may even dine in.

Fun and delicious! Service outstanding even at a busy lunch hour. Glasses always kept full., food hot and tasty. Loved the steak fingers..not tough or chewy. Tried root beer ice cream. Recommend!

The burger was kind of depressing; putting Canadian bacon on a burger seemed like a good idea on paper but their execution could use some work. The fries however were amazing. Having the best potatoes in the nation gave then an edge proving that what you put into the food makes a difference in the end. The tater tots were crispy but not burnt. My girlfriend loved them. The crushed ice in the mugs was also a nice touch. All in all, I'm glad we stopped.

Fast and good! Great food and fast service. Our kids love the root beer ice cream! The burgers are good, the fries and tater tots are exactly as good as you would expect potatoes from the potato capitol of the world to be. (Which is delicious) I really like that they have diet soda options other than cola. (Diet Dr. Pepper and 7up... there may be others)

Things may change or may have changed, but I'm giving this place 5 stars based off our experience there. Good food, great service, and I love the atmosphere. Reminds me of college too. Had a few drinks, a couple of burgers, tater-tots, baked potato, and probably something else -- for a few bucks. The Potato Museum folks gave us a coupon of some sort too. Need to get one of their t-shirts.

Rupe's is a cute little drive-in and sit-in dinner that is a must eat at if travels take you to Blackfoot. The thing that makes this place standout is the large selection of old fashion drinks. I was able to enjoy a Pink Floyd, a refreshing beverage made of 7up, raspberry and whip. It was the best non-alcoholic specialty drink I have had in a very long time. They serve all kinds of beverages including milkshakes, malts root beer floats, and other special drinks that are perfect for those hot summer days. There hamburgers are pretty darn good as well and expect a huge basket of fries. If you plan on being in the area or traveling to the Idaho Potato Museum plan on a food stop.

I grew up in Blackfoot and this is "the place" to go for locals. I've probably been here more than 100 times. I like to get the chicken strips kid's meal (still plenty of food) and either a Butterfinger or Oreo shake. The fries and tater tots are so good. The fry sauce is the best you'll find anywhere. The regular sized drinks come in frosty mugs. Everyone who works there is nice, and you're likely to see Mr. Rupe himself. Whenever I'm in town, I feel like I've cheated myself if I don't take a trip to Rupe's.

Stay away from the fast food chains and come here! The hamburgers were delicious. We had the All American and the Junior burger. The onion rings and fries were piping hot and cooked just right! The milk shakes rock and they have a great variety. The staff was friendly and we loved the atmosphere inside and out. It was clean and well kept inside and out too. Definitely visit if you are in area!
