Best bloody mary I have ever had! I frequented this little bar a lot when I was in Webster City specifically for the bloody mary's. Jamie (the owner) is really friendly and welcoming and even let me sign my name in the bathroom! (This is a common thing at Carpy's...I promise I am not that weird). Aside from the great service, drinks are cheap and are made well. For the bloody mary that I won't shut up about, Jamie adds the perfect amount of heat and flavor and there is just enough vodka that you can taste is, but it is not overpowering. Add the beef stick and pickled asparagus garnish he puts in and you've got yourself a meal! Friday and Saturday nights get fairly busy (for small town Iowa). The dance floor is small but just big enough that you aren't getting to know the locals too well, if you know what I mean...I will definitely stop by again!
Highly recommend. Good quaint small town restaurant. Good food, good service. Doesn't get much better than this in Webster City.
Overall, a good place to eat. A nice, old fashioned place with historical decoratives on the wall. This is probably the place you'd go for anything from a First Date to a get-together with your family in town. Their only weakness is probably how big the menu is - there are just too many selections. They shouldn't be microwaving their bruschetta's either. Best place in town? Probably.
Great staff, food, service, super personality. Grill steak, tenderloin, exactly how you want it. Beer, wine, soft drinks flow like water. Always there to meet your wishes. All food family had was perfect quality, cooked and served. No better restaurant in 50 mile radius. Fort dodge should try to emulate.
When you think of a small town bar, chances are you will be thinking of a place pretty similar to C&C American Tap (or "The Tap" as locals call it). Drinks are strong and cheap, music is loud, pool tables are always open, and the clientele ranges from college kids to good ole boys who have been coming to the bar since it opened however many years ago. I found myself in this bar on a couple of occasions last week. The bartenders were friendly and the locals tend to chat you up if you are not one of them. Yes, I am from Colorado. No, I am not moving here. No, it does not snow year round...These were some of the answers I found myself giving out. I felt welcomed and look forward to returning.
had the pleasure of eating at this establishment twice this week, once solo and the other time with friends. Both times fast service with a smile. Food was priced right for the portions you receive. Good menu selection and everything tried had great flavor. "Warning" they serve margaritas in the 12 oz., 27oz and 40 something oz variety and they go down really smooth.
