Had the pleasure of eating here last night with two of my sons. The first thing I saw on the menu was a Pork Tenderloin Sammie. I hadn't eaten one of those since I was in college at U. Of I. I love those sammies and will drive a long way to get one. In this case 286 miles for a sandwich. lol This is a typical small town eatery, nothing fancy, but not a dump. It was clean comfortable and the service was friendly and fast. Will be back again before I leave. 3 thumbs up on this place

As a waukon resident I can assure you the pizza is the best in this tiny town. It's a bit of a dive, but the pizza crust tastes very homemade. And the burgers are great too.

I'm not a five star guy but this place is. Love the house sPecial pizza with the thick crust. Order the salad when you order a pizza. It costs less than three bucks and you add five toppings just like a pizza. The breaded mushrooms are pretty good too. They tend Rio be sold out but closing. This is a cozy original. The atmosphere could be pulled out of a seventies diner. Partitions separate isles. All you hear are your neighbors.

OMG! It has been so long since I've found a place with Taco Pizza. And this place has it. Crispy crust and Evan has taco sauce. AMAZING!

First off, let's get it right. It's Dave's Gus and Tony's. As in, it was Gus and Tony's but then Dave bought it. Dave seems like a cool guy but everyone should really go for Sue. She's a witty and very helpful waitress. The food was excellent. I had the ham and cheese sandwich on one occasion and it was delightful, just like Mom used to make. On another day, I tried the royal cheeseburger and it was scrumptious. I didn't get to try any of their steak or other meaty items but I hear only great things. Definitely the best restaurant food I had in Waukon.

One of the few places you can get dinner in Waukon that isn't a national chain, and undoubtedly the best. Come for the pizza and stay for the pizza. That's really the best thing they've got on the menu. The other stuff is solid fare for a town of this size, mainly American food. Definitely a comforting place to come to, especially if you've spent most of the day driving in wintery conditions on the state highways. They also have rooms in the back that you can reserve for parties.
