My daughter and I tried H's Pho for the first time this weekend and loved it. It's very cute and very clean. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I ordered the Pho with rare beef and tendon. My daughter ordered Chicken Fried Rice. It was all delicious, with lots of fresh herbs and so many different levels of flavor. What a relief to find such a good restaurant in Waukee. In fact, it was so good that we ordered it for dinner the next day. AND THEY DELIVER.

Mmmm! I had a hankering for something fresh and yummy for dinner so I gave this place a try. I took it to go so I didn't get the whole experience but I will say, the food was great. This place has been open almost 1 year and I hope they are doing well. I enjoy having a Vietnamese option so close to home. I ordered the dumplings and a rice noodle, beef, egg roll dish. It was just right. My total order was around $13. I'm glad I finally gave this place a try. I will putting this into my restaurant rotation AND they deliver within 7 miles.

What a great little place in Waukee! I always crave pho when I'm feeling sick, and we didn't feel like making the trek downtown to another (also good) Vietnamese restaurant, so we tried H's for the first time...and are so glad we did! We ordered potstickers to start, my husband had combination fried rice, and I had the tofu and veggie pho. The potstickers were good, the fried rice was the best we've ever had (flavorful and just perfectly cooked), and my pho hit the spot! The service was a little slow, but it's a family run restaurant, and they were working very hard. Also were very nice and friendly. We didn't mind that we had a slower paced dinner either. The restaurant is clean. The bathroom is extremely clean! We are already talking about when we can go back!

Just had H's Pho for the fist time. Ordered pork spring rolls and the rare beef pho. Spring rolls were better than most places, but not the best I've had. The pho soup was excellent, possibly the best I've had in the DSM area. Service was prompt and friendly, location is clean and quiet. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

We've tried just about all of the other pho soup restaurants and we have proclaimed this one the best. Clean, friendly and quaint. We have found our new favorite pho soup place!

The Best PHO in Central Des Moines with an amazing staff! They treat you like family! And the prices are AMAZING and so are the portions!

My husband and I decided to try this place after reading all the great reviews. We had high expectations because there wasn't a single negative review. We tried the pho and were glad it was as good as we were expecting it to be. There were probably seven or eight different cuts of beef to choose from off the menu that we could add to our pho (plus tofu). And we could have all of them if we wanted, too. I've never heard of any place that would let you do that. Usually you can have one or two choices of meat. That was outstanding. And they had two different kinds of brisket. My only complaint was that I didn't see any chicken pho on the menu. Usually both chicken and beef are offered at pho places. The place looked very nice and clean, unlike most Asian restaurants that serve pho. The tables were clean and had a nice selection of condiments including homemade chili paste. I was impressed. Throughout our meal, several employees asked us how everything was. All of them were friendly and seemed to genuinely care how we were enjoying our meal. The menu was small but looked very tasty. I can't wait to try other things on it like the vermicelli bowl, dumplings and spring rolls. Next time you're in the mood for Asian food, definitely check this place out.

Being Vietnamese, I've been to all the Vietnamese restaurants in Des Moines. H's Pho is a newer restaurant so it isn't as busy when you go in. I've been here multiple times and every single time, the pho was amazing. The broth was flavorful and rich, without the greasiness. The serving sizes are more than enough with a great variety of meat cuts. The banh mi, spring roll and egg rolls are also good. The bubble tea is good but not the best I'v had in Des Moines. I would definitely go back! Being new, they don't have as big of a menu as other Vietnamese restaurants and hopefully it expands as they grow as a business.

This place is great.....grand.....fantastic....my god. I had their pork soups called Hu Thie or something like that and it is a must get. The broth was savory and left an impression on my tounge that I am still slurping right now. 5 star and two thumbs up. Great food!!!

Have been here several times and the pho is to die for! The stir fried bun with chicken is also great. The staff is super friendly and will offer suggestions if you don't know what to order. So happy to have a restaurant like this in Waukee!

The food here is great quality! I LOVE pho and this place really takes the time to do it right. They cook the broth overnight - and this gives it a great flavor. Also, I would recommend the eggrolls! Great!- They add carrots into the sweet and sour sauce- so good!!

Food was fine. Took 1.5 hrs. Had to get our own menus and water refills. Don't bother

I happened to see the advertisement of this place on a local TV station recently and thought it was great to have a Vietnamese restaurant near by our home. We arrived there on a Saturday evening around 6:30 pm and the place was pretty empty; however, shortly after we were seated a dozen or more people walked in. We ordered fried pot stickers, beef pho, and vermicelli with grilled pork, shrimp, and egg rolls. The pot stickers were okay. The pho had good flavor; better with hot sauce. Before ordering the Vermicelli, I asked the server if the pork is actually 'grilled', not fried. He said the pork is grilled as traditional. When the dish came out the pork was not grilled 'fried', as has been my experience with other Vietnamese restaurants in the Des Moines area. I guess I give up looking for real grilled pork unless I go back to San Diego. Service was good. We liked the hot tea. Overall it was okay. I would go back for more pho sometime.

I have never had pho before, so I have nothing to compare it to. But it was a cold winter day, and H's Pho hit the spot. Good service, very accommodating. Will be back.

I stopped in for take out lunch yesterday. I was impressed by the extensive menu. I love Vietnamese Crepes. Lots of vegetarian options, however the Phô only had beef broth which is disappointing. However everything I sampled was delicious and the service was great. The price was good for the huge portion size. I will definitely recommend it to others.

Decent place and definitely one of the better pho places around Waukee. We heard great things about H's Pho and decided to try it out for lunch last Friday. The service was adequate, the restaurant was clean, and the pho was good... but not great. The broth was just a little too sweet for my taste, but you certainly get lots of noodles and veggies for just the regular size.

We just tried this place for the first time. Way better than the Thai place that used to be here. We had the pho and curry chicken and both were great! The service was also great, super friendly and quick! The menu was small but there are several different combinations of each item. We're really happy to have this close to home and will be back soon.

Please head over to this gem! I want them to stay in Waukee forever!!! The Pho is amazing and the lemongrass chicken superb. I also love the BBQ spring rolls. So yummy!

H's Pho just opened in May 2014. It's the best pho soup I've had since living in California. The spring rolls are made with fresh ingredients and were amazing. My wife immediately invited friends to have lunch there later that week and every person invited loved the food.

Don't miss this local gem. Excellent pho (soup), fresh spring rolls and rice dishes. We loved everything we tried. Friendly family place, with some wonderful choices if you are looking for healthier options. We will be back when we are in town.
