Was pleasently surprised tonight here. Got the mac and cheese burger. It was really really good!! Fries were great and beers cold.. nice job!!! Hitting on all cylinders!!!!

Throttle Down was a place that I promoted heavily when it first opened. I now have to take back all of the good things I said. Please don't go there because of any of my past recommendations. Throttle Down has been on a consistent downhill spiral for some time now. It's one thing to write a bad review after one bad visit but I'm up to three now and there won't be a 4th. In my original review I said that they should concentrate on being a restaurant and not a bar because the food was that good. It is evident that after (I believe was a change of ownership) it's all bar. Perhaps if one would drink enough the poor food and service would not be noticeable. I really pains me when a place that you loved becomes a place you can never go again.

Throttle Down is a great bar for a group of people. The environment was great with a lot of things going on. A ton of very nice Samsung TV's surround the bar for optimal sports viewing. The bar also has fun activities during the week. The food wasn't much more than simple bar food, which is the reasoning for my rating lacking the 5th star. The crowd was full of a lot of young adults vs. teenage and college students which was real nice. Will be back

we live in the area and throttle down is a easy go to place. but the last few times its been a trainwreck. examples: they didn't put in my husbands order making us wait for his order to come up mine had gone cold while waiting, they brought us out apps with no plates and the waitress didn't come back for a good 5 min for us to ask her for plates, the wings had very little sauce on them (usually they are amazing) so i asked for more sauce was charged for it. i would of given it a 5 star rating a year ago now i can hardley give it 1 star because of the last few visits.

Kind of like 'Cheers' of the Midwest. Go in once or twice and everybody knows your name. Staff is friendly, food is good, and the entertainment is, well, entertaining! The wife says the ladies room needs a little work though.
