Yum! It's my pleasure to stop at Wit's end when in downtown Marion. The ambience is at once soothing and lively with lots of art and color. Deeeeelicious coffee drinks (my favorite is the Van Halen) and don't forget the homemade scones! Not sure which is better, the coffee, the treats, the art, or the big smiles from owner, Cathy, and her staff. Get thee to Wit's End!
Passing through from California! I had the almond joy mocha (almond, coconut, dark chocolate). I ate an cinnamon chocolate chip coffee cake made from scratch! The inside is homey, colorful, whimsical and inspiring. I love the separate spaces to sit and sip and talk with friends. Highly recommended. The ladies were extremely kind and sincere. Wish we could have stayed longer but our tour bus was on a schedule!
This is such a colorful and friendly coffee shop. I love how each seating area has its own feel, from the cozy fireplace area to the little sunny porch area. It is the perfect place to meet up with a friend or get some "me" time with a good book.

The Detroit crust mombo combo is THE best. We went here to celebrate a birthday. We didn't mind not having birthday candles but the owner ran outside and down the street and bought birthday candles and would not allow us to pay her back. This is our date night place. Delicious and now loyal customers.

Excellent mexican food no matter to what other similar places you compare it to be it Arizona or California. The qquesadilla was outstanding and the tacos , try the ones with tongue they are delicious, as well. Great value also. Thank you. PS-Went there again today. Well balanced fajita with great quality meat. The fish soup that I ordered for home was simply delicious. Great people offering an excellent food for a good price.
Excellent food and margaritas. Service is a little slow so don't expect to be in and out in a hurry. It's a great place to take some time, sit, talk, and drink a marg, and when your food does come out, you won't be disappointed.
The food is outstanding. Some of the best Mexican food since I moved here from California. I usually end up getting the carnitas tacos and/or the beef chimichanga. The tortas and enchiladas are also very good. Prices are fair. Not cheap, but not expensive, either. My only complaint is that sometimes the service is a bit slow. Not always, just sometimes. I'll give it 5 stars anyway.

Food=awesome; service= horrible but that's ok because gratuity was added in. If we needed something we had to get up and ask for. Surprised when our check eventually made its way to the table, however, our bill was all messed up; apparently 2 calzones at $9 each total to $57.00. and worst of all we were practically the only customers in the restaurant. Would still come back for the pizza, but to go.
Dine in or carry out this is one of my favorite pizza places of all time! If you dine in your in for a treat, the zookie (desert) its a must have! For pizza they have chicago, detriot, and new york style pizza.
This is easily the best pizza place in Eastern Iowa. Dine in or Carry out. There simply is no pizza place like it in this state. Make sure to call ahead though, because it is always PACKED!

This evening was so fun, good was amazing too. I need meatless and dairy free. They had a lentil vegetable soup that was incredible! Fresh mushrooms, celery, carrots and more. And a side salad with avocado spread that they let me add to the side. My friend had a grilled cheese on marble with tomato and creamy tomato soup. There was a band with guitars, tambourines and more. They are having a remodel to extend the space this ml the or next. It will then be Ramsey's Wine Bistro!
Great food, great weekly specials and most important - great people. I dig their sandwiches for lunch, especially the omnivore, the best sandwich in the greater Cedar Rapids area.
One of my most favorite places to eat! All the sandwiches are good. My favorite is the turkey Reuben or the Dilly grilled cheese. Food always takes a little longer than expected but it's worth the wait! Of course, try some wine! Knowledgable staff always :)

Zoey’s Pizzeria

Reviews:
I used to live 5 blocks from Zoey's Pizza in Marion but never went there. Don't ask me why, I'd heard glowing things about them from numerous people. I just never went. That all changed yesterday. I walked in and realized it's MUCH smaller than I realized. It's a little dining room with maybe 20 tables (MAX) in there. But it was very cozy. Great decor too. Random pictures hanging up but it's exactly what I expected. They were pretty busy (which is typical from what I've seen) but there was a table open. It's seat yourself at night (or late afternoon) so I grabbed a table quick while waiting for my friend. It took a few minutes for the waitress to make it over to me, but again, they were pretty busy. The waitress brought over a menu and asked if I wanted to order. I told her I was waiting for someone so she took my drink order and waited for my friend to get there. When he did arrive, we decided on the Chicago style, deep dish sausage and mushroom pizza. When it came out, holy crap, I was in love. It was super thick crust with some sort of tomato sauce on top. And it tasted even better than it looked! The waitress came to refill our drinks regularly enough and didn't hover. After the pizza (I only had one piece because it was so filling!) my friend asked if I wanted dessert, the Zookie. I had no idea what a Zookie was, but I love dessert so of course I said yes. This was just as good as the pizza. It was a personal size pizza pan filled with a chocolate chip cookie. It had three scoops of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and hot fudge on top. It was like heaven on earth, partially because the cookie was still warm. I was impressed. This is a great place for a first date. It's very cozy and informal. I didn't give it five stars only because we just had a generic type of pizza. They have New York style thin crust and a taco pizza that looked fantastic. I'll definitely be going back to try that. Zoey's is definitely one of the best pizza places I've been to.
Still the best pizza in the area!!! Not only do they have the best pizza any where they also have the zookie! That in my opinion is with 5 stars by itself! They only have dine in or carry out and you can only get the zookie when you dine in! When you go here you will most likely have to wait for a table to open up! It's well worth the wait! Both the New York style and Chicago style pizza is very very good!!! The only knock I have about this place is there new york isn't really all that think like real New York style pizza but it makes for a better more filling pizza! oh and the Zookie in case your not sure what it is, it is a chocolate chip cookie baked in a cast iron plate with three scoops of ice cream, chocolate syrup and whip cream YUMMMMMM!
Either a person likes Chicago style deep dish or they don't. If you do, this is great pizza. Yes the service can be slow and yes, it does take a lot longer to make that pizza but it is delicious. The dining area is small and could use a good cleaning. The bathrooms are clean but freezing in the winter. Also in the winter, every time the door opens you will be cold. If you go, stop by and rob a bank first. The pizza is getting crazy expensive. A small Chicago style Zoey's will run you right at $20 (four slices = $5 a slice. Impressive math skills right!) It seems if they are taking into account that they can't turn their tables fast enough and so we are all paying double. I understand that the cost of the food also has to pay for all of those other things, but seriously? Do I have to make the light payment on my own for you? Will I keep coming back? Yes, but only occasionally. With two teenagers I have to make the choice between buying them this pizza or paying for their college.

You know how when you're 250 miles from home attending a 3 day business meeting and on day 2 you are tired of the men you work with so you pretend you are not feeling well and excuse yourself while the group goes off to their "I-know-we-just spent-the-last-11-hours-talking-about-work-but-lets-do-some-more-while-we-eat" dinner and you sneak out to get chinese? Well, China King is the place you go to!! It was fast, fresh, cheap, and very yummy. I had, and don't you dare judge me, a quart of shrimp lo-mein and a pint of chicken friend rice and an egg roll. All of them were really good. China King cured what ailed me. I need this place to be in my neighborhood.
I have been here for lunch many times. I'm not a fan of buffets so I order off the menu. Whatever I order is always fresh and plentiful and delicious. As others have mentioned the ambience is nothing fancy but it's good food so I don't mind.
To be fair, we did not eat here. This is a review of the service. I heard such great reviews from Yelpers, thought I would try the place out. We went at lunch time and the place was full. We waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. We saw one Asian lady busily doing "something". She gave us eye contact but did not show us a table or assist us in any way. Perhaps because we are Asian, she thought we were the "help". I have no idea but I do know terrible service when I experience it. We left after idiotically waiting for 15 minutes by the door. Not returning. So far, the best Chinese food I have had in CR is Hyvee. That says a lot.

The food was pretty good and the staff were somewhat friendly. The dining area was really clean compared to other fast food joints. When I was waiting for my food, I looked behind the counter and saw a bunch of trash on the floor. That could have been swept up. The vanilla shake I ordered was really delicious. I'll probably come back.
