Best Chinese food around. Very nice staff and great lunch special prices. Only wish they were open Mondays. Recently remodeled and a nice family run Chinese joint.

Hit and miss. Depends on what you order. Have eaten here a couple dozen times and feel that I have a feel for the place. I will not do the chow mein or the foil-wrapped chicken ever again. Ugh! The chow mein was unrecognizable as chow mein. I will, however, do the Szechuan Chicken and the Mongolian Beef again. Those are very good, my only quibble is that sometimes the Mongolian Beef should be called Mongolian Onions. They sometimes skimp on the meat. Prices are very reasonable and the service is absolutely fantastic.

Who knew the best Chinese food in Iowa would be found in the humble town of Manchester, Iowa. This place is a town favorite. This is the restaurant that I compare all other Chinese restaurants to and none have met the same standards of deliciousness as Chuong Garden. I usually get the Beef Chow Mein. But honestly, you can't go wrong. Check out this town treasure today!

This is a jewel in Manchester, IA. You'll find it has understated, simple decor. The electronic Asian music, which does play very quietly, is in I my opinion the only element of atmosphere that is a bit off the mark. Service is prompt and friendly. Have a question about something on the menu? Just ask. And the kitchen is quick as well. My order of Moo Goo Gai Pan was tasty. While it may have been a little light on pea pods, there was a generous amount of chicken and water chestnuts! I substituted fried rice for white rice. It was adequate, on a par with fast food--some peas and carrots, no egg fried with the rice. Still the meal was filling, tasty and large enough to take some home for tomorrow's lunch. I passed on dessert this trip, but I highly recommend the "Dessert Egg Rolls." Filled with cheesecake and with chocolate or strawberry (why not have one of each?!) dipping sauce. A nice finish if you make room for it. Chuong Garden does a hearty carry out business as well. That speaks to the quality. If in this small Iowa town, make a point to stop here for lunch or dinner. It's a nice alternative to burgers and bar food.

Pretty good for a small town Chinese joint .. very reliable and great for takeout. The prices are fair and the service is on point with friendly employees working swiftly. Favorites here are Curry Chicken, Hunan Chicken and Beef & Broccoli. My only complaint is that they tend to overcook the vegetables and I can't stand mushy vegetables, especially in Chinese food. I started asking for crispy vegetables when ordering and that seems to have remedied the problem.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
