We stopped at Ogo's when we were going through town traveling and we were really impressed! There were so many choices!! Great chicken, ham, a few kinds of fish, ribs, soup, carrots, corn, green beans, salads plus more and TONS of desserts! The price was right and the service was friendly. I loved the oreo dessert. It's decorated cute and my family really enjoyed their time. The only complaint is the size of the bathroom. It was tiny and my mom couldn't use it because the handicap rail was only attached on one end. If you're physically challenged, the bathrooms won't work for you, but the food is great.

Very good for a buffet, they keep it fresh and proper temp.

Ogo's was a definite local culture kind if experience. We didn't love the food just because of our general palate preferences but it was obviously homemade and well stocked. I was most impressed with the service overall. That was the most efficiently run mom and pop restaurant I have ever seen. It was fun to see a local place with a full parking lot and absolutely packed with local people. We greatly appreciated the cultural experience it provided our family.

My daughter and I didn't know what to expect but were satisfied. The buffet is "home cooking" type of food. If you like fried foods (chicken, shrimp, catfish and walleye) this is your place. The menu changes daily though. So be sure to know what's on buffet that night. You can order from menu. They also had salad bar, taco bar and a dessert bar. The side were carrots, lima beans, corn and green beans. My glass never got below half full. It was reasonable priced for the amount of food one could eat, $23 with drinks for two. I would definitely go back!!

While driving around, we stopped by for dinner and we were impressed. First, we were greeted by the owner Kevin and he was very friendly. Since we told him we had never been here before he showed us the buffet and explained the different sections. He then pointed to our table and we were off gathering food. When we got back to the table our drinks were there waiting for us. As for the food it was pretty good and they had a good variety. Some of the better items were the bread, meatloaf, shrimp, walleye, and fried chicken. The Oreo dessert was delish. Not everything was good but like any buffet there will be hits and misses. The service was good too as they were on top of the refills and taking the plates away. The owner stopped by all the tables including ours to check on people. We felt like part of the local family. We asked what "Ogo" stands for if anything and he told us..."O Great One". Kind of made us chuckle. It was pretty cheap too, with drinks it was about $10 per person for dinner.

We ate the buffet here while visiting family in the area. Basically, it is the equivalent of ordering your meal from the grocery store deli counter. I would not willingly return here. There was a "Potato and Taco Bar" that had no shells, meat, or potatoes... just cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, etc. Useless. The dessert bar had several items that obviously came from a Betty Crocker or Jello no-bake cheesecake mix. The pies appeared to be frozen ones from a grocery store. Making the desserts even more appetizing were two signs chastising guests to not waste the food, as it was very expensive for them to offer it. Thanks. The "salad" bar contained no fresh veggies. Instead, it had many things from cans, including red kidney beans, fruit salad, corn, instant pudding, pineapples, cooked carrots, chicken noodle soup. The store-bought potato salad came from a 2-qt tub, as I saw a staff member spooning it in. For the main entrees, I can't say too much about them because I wasn't tempted to try very many. The fried chicken was good, and my kids ate the boiled ham. There was a "pizza bake" that included NOODLES, of all things, and some chicken wings that looked like they were pre-prepared at a grocery store and then squirted with barbecue sauce at the restaurant. There was also fried fish, that a family member said was pretty good. Cheap and clean... but I actually had a better meal at the Flying J in town.

Came from Kansas city with plenty of top dinning options. I give this five stars because of the overall quality, price, and service. The catfish and walleye just as good as the best I've ever had. Fried chicken home cooked. The bread pudding magnificent. Sure the salad bar lacks but not awful and at least it's the good quality lettuce and not the iceberg crud from a bag. Can't say I tried the taco bar. Why would I with all the home cooked goodness. Didn't come for Mexican. Mashed taters. Potato casserole, three kinds of fish, shrimp, fried chicken, good roles, and homemade bread pudding for dessert. All for $8.75? Come on. That's crazy. Voted best in Keokuk for reason. And service was excellent. Paid, they tell u where to sit, u get ur food, and by the time u are at table drinks waiting. Will definitely come again

Not a lot to say really. We wanted to see the 25 feet of food, so this was our dinner destination. Most of the food seemed canned - not fresh. The chicken was fine, the fried fish was fine, and everything else was ok. Nothing special, but the staff was friendly. The folks at a nearby table were talking about eating raccoon, possum, and maybe another animal or 2. They were probably thrilled with this place, but our group was not. Not bad but we don't feel the need to return.

Mediocre at best, been to hundreds of buffets and this one was low end. Salad bar is standard, nothing spectacular, cant remember seeing toppings like croutons and bacon bits, essentials. Only a couple of main dishes available, some beef stroganoff hamburger helper stuff, fish was ok, fried chicken was good. Seems the desserts wouldve been ok, but after the crowd picked through the good stuff, after waiting over15 minutes plus there was no restocking. We heard positive remarks prior to spending our 60 something dollars on 4 of us, but we'll try it again cautiously.

Good food. Cheap cheap price! Not quality food but good. Friendly enough. The chicken is actually pretty dang good. Oh its a buffet. Ummm the ham isnt that good. Sits in ham water too long. Desserts arent cold and really bland and warm which is gross.

Blah! I don't get it. The food was not very good. And cold. It looked like something you would get at a bad potluck. The people who give it a good review must not eat out much, haha! Would never go back.

Staff was very friendly and kept the tables clean. The price and service was excellent. We were a family of six staying at a local hotel in town for three days. The food was not good and it could have been because of the time we came to eat. We arrived at 8 pm on a Monday night. The chicken was very dry and my youngest boy did not like his tacos. We heard of another family that really liked the food so it might be the time of day. We might try this place again at a better time if we are back in the area.

Okay, this is a buffet crowded into a short line that winds around a counter and stuff on the outsides. However, clearly some of the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Went back on a second night just for that chicken. Different fish like walleye and catfish were great for a fish guy like me. Don't remember too much else, but would easily go there instead of a bar-like alternative.

I don't know where the lady that gave the one star review ate but it wasn't at the Ogo's we ate at...

Kevin & Lori Gregory own/manage this gem on the Mississippi. A great family buffet that is inexpensive and clean. The chicken is fantastic! I would highly recommend this spot for lunch or dinner. You will thank me.
