A must-try place to eat in Fairfield IA! based on the excellent, savory, fresh, clean taste of their food, the prices are cheap! soooo worth every penny of it. The lady at the cashier was extremely sweet and friendly. It is an absolute laid-back, inviting, casual atmosphere! two thumbs up!

I have tried their buffalo burger many times. It is hands down the best burger I've ever had. Amazing burgers in a laidback environment. The price also seems fair for what you get. I highly recommend Doc's....by far, best burger in Fairfield and the surrounding area!

Really a great meal for under $8. They have izzy drinks here, thats nice. The burger was done well, I got the Pattymelt. Came with terra chips and a couple slices of fruit. Unique. Pineapple and watermelon? Deal. I really like the piped in relaxing piano music in the dining area. This basically IS a living room with seating for about 20. Set nice, kept nice. Food came out in less than 10 mins. Well worth checking out, and they have more than just burgers.

This place is the only place in the small town of Fairfield to grab a descent meal for lunch! Not greasy, very healthy, and filling! The only down fall is they are not open year round or during the evening.

It wasn't good. It wasn't bad. It was right in the middle of the road. Too expensive for what you're actually eating and the sides are uninspired pieces of fruit. It's not a 5 star restaurant and there are several other places to eat in Fairfield that blow this place out of the water. (And for some reason, are rated lower).

Originally I'm from Southern California and then I came to Iowa to attend MUM. Now I went 2 weeks with straight vegan and vegetarian food, and Im kinda getting sick of it and miss eating a little meat. So a group of my friends from the dorms decided to go to Docs Inn suggested by one of our friends. We later arrive to find a cozy home with a restaurant on the side of the house which we thought was strange because we had never seen anything like it. Head inside and you'll see a simple set up of a counter and menu. We all order different types of buffalo burgers since it was their specialty. We all sit down and wait for our feast. Minutes pass by and our food arrives, we all proceed to take a bite to the satisfaction we've all been waiting for...The best buffalo burger EVER! The price is a bit expensive being 8.75 but you get what you paid for an organic buffalo burger. The first bite is a mouthgasm since we have not had meat for weeks and for some other years. It comes with a side of chips and fruit which I like because it is a healthy alternative to french fries. I have not tried anything else there but if you want a delicious buffalo burger come through to Docs Inn Cafe. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is the annoying amount of flies trying to land on your food because they're jealous of how delicious it is lol

These buffalo burgers are amazing. I don't know how they do it, but they are doing it well. You may think it's odd to walk up to somebody's house across the street from the library and order food on their deck. You also may be right. But if you don't do it at least once you will be missing out. I can't wait for the warmer weather and their hours to extend back out more than just being open for lunch time.
