Thanks Clear Lake Breadeaux for bringing me back to fond childhood memories of delicious pizza parties. Even more so, thanks for creating a new adult tradition to stop and feast on a scrumptious plate of pepperoni with buttery crust and rich tomato sauce. Yum^3!! (Or yum yum yum!)
If you really want some good pizza that is more like homemade this is the place you really need to try it
Great pizza...and fantastic service. Highly recommend this stop.

It's sometimes hard to find a "good" coffeehouse when you are out on the road. There are all of the chain places (Starbucks, Caribou, Dunn Bros., etc.) out there and, while you typically know what you're getting, they just don't do much than the bare minimum to sate their customers. They take your order, take your money and make you an undersized/overpriced drink and hurry you out the door. Okay, given they have comfortable tables and Wi-Fi in most of their locations, maybe "rush" you out isn't the right term. Let's just say that they are commercialized and are trying to get customers in and out in a timely manner. I passed up a Caribou in Albert Lea on my way back to Central Iowa a couple of weeks ago, remembering that there was a local coffee shop in Clear Lake, just 25 minutes down I-35 from where I was. Worth the wait in my opinion and sometimes travelers just like to stop, sit and relax and sip a nice hot coffee. I neared the exit and saw the "Cabin Coffee Company" sign and knew this was where I was going to stop. Now if you don't want to venture off of I-35, this probably isn't the place for you, though it isn't a long drive (less than 5 minutes), but it is worth the detour to experience this place, located at 303 Main Ave in Downtown Clear Lake, about one block from the lake. The décor was unique, as one would expect from a private coffeehouse. A nice handwritten menu board with your typical coffeehouse menu (lots of varieties and flavors of coffee drinks, both hot and cold, sandwiches, deserts, rolls, soft drinks, etc.). I hesitate to use the term "western" to describe the theme, but that's about as close as I can describe it. The logo is present everywhere (it looks like an old western sheriff's badge) including on the top of the coffee drinks (see photos that other Yelpers have posted here). I ordered a simple caramel latte with an extra shot of espresso and it was made to perfection by a very friendly barista. She was polite, courteous and makes a GOOD coffee drink! I took my drink and sat down by the lake and slowly sipped it while enjoying the beauty of this quint little summer town. This was my first time actually going into the town of Clear Lake after passing by it a billion times on the interstate. It was well worth it just to find this little gem of a coffeehouse. Cabin Coffee Company does it right. Great service, excellent coffee, a nicely sized menu and lots of customers. It signifies that they are doing something right here. Please take the time next time you are in the mood for some REAL coffee and pull of I-35 and venture into Downtown Clear Lake. Look for Cabin Coffee Company and you won't be disappointed!
Always friendly and fast service. Drinks prepared how you ask. My daughter likes to order her a warm cocoa, and sure enough, it always comes out perfect for her. The food offerings do not personally impress me but that is my personal taste, not because anything is wrong with the food. I love Cabin Coffee in Clear Lake and frequent there pretty often.
We come here every year for a family reunion for my husband. I look forward to coming here! This place is so delicious. The staff is super friendly as well. There's quite a selection of coffee and other drinks to choose from. The prices are reasonable too. This is a must go to place if you are in town! I can't wait for next summer!

Great restaurant/bar on on the lake. We're here for the 4th weekend and stopped here for some brunch. Great staff, very friendly and awesome customer service. We all got some grub as well, the wraps are delicious, chicken tenders were great. Prices are low (we're from Chicago), pretty good size selection of beers as well. Cocktails were good. Overall if you can, stop on by and enjoy the view, good food and friendly staff.
Great drinks, good and staff on a beautiful lake side setting. The outdoor bar is fun and the lake breeze is perfection.
Wt went there with a group of about 15 people on the 3rd of July One of us was doing the Tiki Burger Challenge. That person had an hour to eat their 6 patty burger. The waitress took everyone's order but didn't start bringing us our food till the challenge was over. We were starving. It was a good thing we odered their delicious onion rings to tied us over. Great food, slow service, friendly staff.

What a gem! Good food and great service. Enjoyed different and interesting food choices they offer. We will be back and telling our friends.
Three of us ate dinner there last night. Ordered the special, sea bass with asparagus and potatoes. The fish was cooked well but the flavor was very strong and fishy. Could not eat it. Waitress did not offer anything else to replace the bad fish. She did offer tartar sauce to try to mask the taste. Declined the offer. When I got the bill, I was charged $24.00 for a meal I did not eat. I was shocked. This is the first time I have had to pay for meal that was inedible. Won't go back!!!!
Drove by this a lot and always thought it wouldn't be good. Stopped in for lunch and sat on the patio and it was awesome! Clean and remodeled. Fast service and delish food! I got the grilled tenderloin, it could have been trimmed a little more, but very good. Husband got a burger that was awesome too! Def going back!

Tasty meal, friendly staff, great prices. This place was great. When I'm back in the area I will definitely stop by again!
A very unpretentious restaurant on the edge of Clear Lake just off I-35. It is not a dump just a clean plain exterior and interior. Service was quick as I wasn't quite seated when a matronly server was waiting for me to settle in and gave me a menu and went to retrieve some coffee. Coffee is standard restaurant supplied and nothing special but while traveling when I need coffee, then coffee is coffee and that's all I can say. There are nice choices for breakfast, served all day which is a plus and lunch items. All very American style. The omelet was served in what seemed to be less than five minutes with thick slices of hot buttered toasted sourdough bread. The tab was so low I thought there was an error. An excellent bargain. A good spot for reading as with industrial type florescent lights with distortion panels makes it very bright inside. There does not appear to be a website nor was there any Wi-Fi making it appealing for the more luddite.
Service was very fast and friendly. Great for a quick stop off i35. All the food seems like it is from a can or frozen. Not the home town from scratch I place I was expecting. More like a high school cafeteria than a dinner.

Out of baked potatoes, didn't have sirloins, got blue cheese dressing instead of the ranch that I ordered. I love the food at the Half Moon, but have to say I am a little disappointed tonight in the service! The service wasn't bad, but got worse as the dinner progressed. After we were told they were out of sirloins, she did suggest the pork chops that were very flavorful. Had to ask for refills more than once and when we were the only customers left, trying to flag her down to pay the bill was next to impossible after she said she would come back to pick the bill up. She was busy eating her own dinner at the bar. I ended up having to take the bill up to the bar to pay. The meal was a good value at less than $35.00 for a great dinner and drinks. The food was a 5, but the service I'm going to have to give a 3 for an overall rating of 4 stars.
I've been a "Clear Lake Weekender" for about 8 year and this was my first time making a visit to The Half Moon (THM). It can be easily overlooked by Ge Joe's By the Lake, The O.P., and several other locations. Finally made our way to THM on a Saturday night. The parking lot was packed and so was the inside. We didn't have a wait though except for someone to great us. A sign was out that said please wait to be seated but we got ignored a couple of times. Someone greeted us and said a table for 4 was ready and we stood there kind of awkwardly waiting for her to show us where to go. She was then like "oh, do you want me to show you?" Ha, yes we do. The atmosphere is totally dinner club style. It'd be a great place to get the most out of a happy hour. You can get gin and tonics for $2! Crazy. I was amazed to see one of my most favorite beers on their beer list - a Bell's Two Hearted Ale - get this - for only $3.50! Saturday night was a Prime Rib special for $18.99. I ordered that and it came with a salad, potato and loaf of fresh baked bread. The salad dressing was AMAZING. It was definitely homemade because I have never had a ranch dressing that was so thick and creamy. MMM. The blue cheese dressing was just as good. I ordered hash-browns as my potato. Outstanding. They were crispy on the outside and steamy and actually buttery on the inside. The prime rib was cooked wonderfully. I ordered it medium-rare and it came out like that. I would've liked the prime rib to have come out seperately rather than in an au jus. It was too salty for me. Be prepared to wait! Your dinner order will take about 20-30 minutes to come out. It's worth the wait though.
Best steak place in Clear Lake. Love the prime rib on weekends and the hash browns are good too. The service is usually good but lately the service has been a little off. Hopefully that will change. The food is always great!!

Food was awesome. Waitstaff great. My mother and I had picked this place as we had just been riding through on RAGBRAI. Exhausted, hot and thirsty we were seated. My water bottle was on the table. All of a sudden the dark haired bartender gal came up behind me, and aggressively barked, "I'm gonna ask you to put away your water bottle or leave." She then turned away and left. It was very unsettling. I am hypoglycemic and need to have my water with some electrolytes in it, especially after riding 40 miles. Luckily the sweet prompt waitress and great food saved what otherwise would have been a negative review. Get the vegetarian pizza!
Good pie... the best pizza in the area. I had the new Ruben sandwich last night and I was very happy with the quality and the taste. The place seems to be busy but the service was very good. There was a minor mix up with my wife's order but it was corrected quickly and professionally. Lots of Tv's to watch sports on, fun atmosphere.
I heard this restaurant was good so when I was passing through I decided to stop with my 2 kids and sister. Lots of seating and good for families and sports fans. I started with a side salad and it was terrible. Lettuce was about close to turning brown and it was very blah and boring. I had a hair in my salad! Next our group got the nachos appetizer to share and we barely touched it because it was so disgusting. There was chilly on the bottom which tasted like it was from a can and it was not even warm! The cheese was that super over processed cheese and it was really gross. They put iceberg lettuce on top that is close to browning and a small amount of sour cream. There were 4 of us and we couldn't eat it. Even the kids wouldn't eat it. Next we shared a pizza and the pizza was very good. Definitely not the best I've had but still pretty tasty. I was disappointed that they do not have kids sizes for soda unless you order a kids meal so when I got the bill I had been charged $2.25 for each child's drink which they I could never possibly drink the huge cup that they brought them. Would have been nice to have a smaller size at a smaller price for the children. Our waitress was not very attentive. Took forever to get our bill. I hear the sandwiches are good but I am not sure I will be back.

As always an awesome place, busy but tons of seating and the food is fast and fresh!!
There were flies all over (fruit flies and small black ones). The 3 tables we sat at were all sticky. The men's room had feces on the floor in the stalls. Overall a gross experience (and a shame as we typically eat there on our trips to see family).
After waiting for 55 minutes at Perkins and no food, we went across the street to Culver's and had our meal within 5 minutes.

My husband and I stopped by for supposedly a quick lunch on our way back to MPLS. It's Father's Day and I let him pick and since all the Bennigan's in MN are closed he really wanted a Monte Cristo because they make it best. We got sat down right away but took almost 5 minutes before our server came over to get our drink order. No busy so no reason to be slow she claimed she didn't realize we were there..uhhh really because you were cleaning a table not too far from us and you didn't know two people sitting under a bright light??? Bad communication from the host. Oh and the main reason we picked the restaurant was for the Monte Cristo my husband wanted and they were sold out. Knowing this is your most popular dish on Father's Day and you didn't prep enough for it??? I do say the dishes we ended up ordering were decent, my husband got the NY strip special and I got a half order of baby back ribs with fries. I also ordered a cup of their special veggie cheddar soup to come out first, did not come out until right before our entrees and tasted like it came from a can.
Four stars because they deliver room service to the Best Western there. The building was under construction so I don't have any comments there. The people on the phone are very friendly and the prices are good. However, a couple negative things I experiences was once the tray wasn't picked up even the next morning, a second time the sides I ordered were wrong, and the third time they forgot a spoon when i ordered soup. The food is good, standard Bennigan's.
Visited on a Friday evening for dinner. The service was very slow and not friendly. Three hostesses, one in training, started out unfriendly. After 12 minutes our server came by. Brought back drinks, then about 20 minutes later food, surprised to see our glasses empty. Five to ten minutes after we were finished saw the waiter for the fourth and final time ad he dropped off the check. My wife and daughter went to the restroom and the waiter still never came back for the check. So, we left it at the table with no plans of returning.

Problems with cleanliness and will service. Food is OK.
It's as authentic as you can get for Mexican in the Midwest. The decor was rustic reminded me of Mexico. The waiters are very friendly, but a bit hard to understand. I blame myself for not taking a Spanish class in school when I could have had a chance to learn it. O'well, life goes on on. I ordered the veggie fajita platter for 8.99. First dish comes out and it was piled high with guacamole, pi co De Gallo, lettuce, refried beans (without pork lard) and Spanish rice. At first I thought they made a mistake with my order since their were no hot veggies on the plate, but then they came out with a second big dish with sizzling veggies piled high and fresh tortillas on the side. Now this was a meal made for 3 people. It was the best Mexican food I've had in awhile. I would defiantly go back again, but take 3 Friends with me to help eat it all.
Honestly a waist of money, the worst Mexican food I've had in a while. The tacos where awful down to the cold and dried out beans. And the enchiladas were just awful this was the blandest nastiest food EVER.
