I recently ate here with a friend for lunch and was very happy with the experience. This place is refreshing and unique for the area. We had the cheese curds based on reading the prior reviews praising them and they did not disappoint. They were wonderful and the sauce was so good we kept it for the crust of our pizza. I had the calzone, which was very tasty, and my partner was very happy with the pizza. Depending on your appetite, the calzone and pizza can easily be split between 2 people, especially if you have an appetizer. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. I will definitely go back.

Crust is so much more than a pizza establishment. We live close by and this is now our go-to restaurant. The pizza is unique, thin crust made from some fancy flour they can explain and the crust is a little soft so eating it may require a fork but it is delicious. The pizzas they created for their menu remind me of gourmet food from a chef's kitchen. They have specialty pizza down to a science, the chorizo-potato pizza is a must try (sounds weird, but trust me). Every dish I have tried has been a hit. Get yourself the fried cheese curds for a great appetizer. They also have a great bartending staff. There are only a couple places in town where you can get an ice ball with your cocktail. Jamey (the bar manager) always makes it a point to come talk to us whenever we are in. The wait staff has been excellent and I highly recommend you try them out. Outdoor seating is pretty comfortable.

Great place. Many beers available. Probably 10 different stouts/porters. Staff has always been exceedingly pleasant and capable. Food has been excellent. Interesting dishes that are prepared with passion. Two thumbs up! Just go.

WHY didn't I come here sooner?!! This place is fantastic. I can't tell you how amazing it is to come to a restaurant and be told that the person making my dinner loves the challenge and is happy to make a vegan pizza for me!! I ate the whole thing and wanted more.

I've visited here since the day they opened, and have yet to be disappointed. An annual birthday tradition. Their style of pizza is traditional Italian: which is very thin. Your best bet here is to each order a pizza of choice, and share. One person could easily eat their own pizza, but their menu is so delicious and original that sharing is your best bet. All ingredients are fresh, never frozen. Best appetizer ever: 312 beer battered cheese curds with jalapeno raspberry dipping sauce. So. Delicious. Since open ing, they ha e renovated and nearly doubled their space, which is great to see for being open such a short time. Added space has no effect on service. Great patio, beer and wine selection, and late night food service.

I love pizza. I've been called a pizza snob. And Crust Stone has good pizza. We've been there twice and both times were great and the service was wonderful.

Had deep dish take out. Delicious. The CRUST is amazing. Toppings were quite fresh. We will return

The cheese curds are awesome and the thin crust pizzas reminded us of Italy...with some crazy, fun, American-style toppings . The bacon onion jam one with arugula was awesome! We'll be back to try their deep dish. Great local place to bring out-of-towners!

Finally! A pizza place in the Quad Cities that I actually want to go to and take people with me. The selection of pizza was fairly extensive with a number of interesting pizzas (Pancetta and Manchego with Arugula, etc.) The pizzas are quite good with a medium to low amount of char you expect with wood or coal fired pizza. The edge crust was crispy with a soft inside and the part underneath the toppings was firm and NOT soggy (tried both white and red pizzas, same result). The wait was worth it for the pizza and we will definitely be going back to try the house-made sausage, Pizza Bianca, and others. It had been noted the prices are a bit on the higher side, but for four people, our check came to $42 and no one left hungry. The service was good, even with a full house on hand and we did not feel ignored one bit. The selection of craft beer on tap is the best I have found to date in Davenport with beers from local breweries like Great River and Bent River in addition to larger regional breweries like Goose Island and Bell's. I am definitely looking forward to going back.

Finally some pizza I actually enjoy in the Quad Cities. The crust is well crafted. The topping balance is very good to give a nice flavor without being overbearing. Crisp edge with a good toasty flavor. If you like stone oven pizza, you will not be disappointed. Good beer selection, too. This one is entering the rotation. They do need some sharper knives, though.

Open for less than a week, this new restaurant is running like a well-oiled machine. Staff was friendly and attentive, menu choices are varied but not overwhelming, and the bar was well-stocked with a nice selection of wine, beer and spirits. We split an appetizer of Stone Oven Garlic Shrimp, Pancetta & Manchego White Pie (pizza), a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio, and topped it off with a Caramelized Marshmallow Pie. All were tasty, and the Pancetta pie and the marshmallow dessert were complete stand-outs and truly delicious! We thought we were eating a s'more for grown-ups. Seating inside is in a variety of large booths, high tables, regular tables, and bar seating. Outdoor seating is on a small patio in front. We will definitely be back and will tell our friends (who haven't been there yet) about this new place in town!

Came here when it first opened. Did not experience a wait but it is kind of small. The alcohol selection is ok, but overpriced. The pizza selection is decent and the options all sound good. I enjoy this style pizza and so we got a carnitas style pizza and pepperoni. Both were good but really overpriced. I remember the service being good. I think it is the best pizza in the QC.

We were on our way to Iowa City for a Hawks game and stopped at Crust based on positive reviews on Yelp. It lived up to the hype and we had a great time. The service and atmosphere were great and they have a really interesting beer selection. There were four of us and we split four pizzas. Fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. We had the Chicken Artichoke and Mushroom Sausage. Pizzas are Napoli style so smaller twelve inch thin crust with softer crust. We are from Chicago so we know pizza and were very impressed. They also have a wide beer selection with some interesting, more obscure beers on special. Great job!

Seriously, get in my foodie belly! This is really good stuff. Here's the deal...it isn't your traditional Quad City style pizza, so if you want a slice of that yummy stuff get your butt to Harris. However, if your wanting something different, this is the spot. It's Napoli style pizza and it is cooked to perfection. I devoured a couple slices of the Chicken Artichoke and snagged a bite of my daughter's pepperoni...both, Yum! The Chicken Artichoke was the perfect savory bite each time, without being overly rich or salty. I also indulged in a Cosmo that was made just right, however next time I'm pretty sure I'm going to ditch it for the Root Beer float that my little one ordered...I was having some serious diner's envy. My girlfriend had the classic Margherita pizza and it looked lip smackin' delicous, to which she agreed that it was. She also had a Strawberry Basil martini that was just lovely. The service was wonderful, and the glimpses of dessert that I caught made me wanna go back just for some sugar action...like the roasted marshmallow concoction...Yep, it's on the list ;) P.S. One pizza is a lotta food, so you could totally share and I will next time :)

Love their pizzas! I had this style of pizza in San Francisco and was dying to try it here. It is definitely different but extremely tasteful. It's a plus because we go to the new yogurt next door after dinner, Yourtopia yogurt, which is extremely good! Crust is the Best place to go for good food and the grab some good dessert next door.

Love the chorizo and potato pizza, cheese curds, and beer selection. Great outdoor seating for the warmer months. If you're looking for something other than the standard quad city style pizza this is it.

Clean, great atmosphere, friendly bartender, a beer menu put together by someone who knows whats up, and ridiculously good pizza. I'll be back.

  • Andrew L.

Did not like the pizza. Menu was very limited. Service was outstanding, but food was just OK for me. For the amount of money being charged, there are a lot better choices in Bettendorf, let alone the entire quad cities.

  • Ryan H.

Overrated. Pizza crust was thin & soggy because they drown it in olive oil. The only part of the crust that had substance was in the edges, which were burnt. Didn't have a lot of flavor. Waiter was condescending instead of informative and he was also lazy because he was using an iPad. Patio furniture was extremely comfortable and tap beer selection was good.

Ate here about a month ago and was pretty pleased. It's different (in a good way) from the normal QC area pizza. We went on a Saturday night and although there wasn't a terribly long wait, the place was packed and there wasn't really a good place to wait without dodging waitresses trying to bring people food or pick up drinks from the bar. My husband and I had the Margarita pizza which was simple and FRESH. We had the cheese bites for an appetizer and they were different and tasty, they were so rich that I could only eat a few. It would be a great app for a group of people, but for the two of us it was a little much. They have a fantastic beer selection! We'll back when we need a reprieve from the QC norm.

My friend wanted to go to this pizza place because he hasn't found a decent pizza place (to his standards) around. He used to be a chef and love stone oven pizza, so we gave it a try. I got the special which was a shrimp fettuccine pizza and my friend just got a pepperoni. As you probably read already, the style is a thin crust style pizza. The taste of my pizza was good. it was a white pizza with some shrimp on it and what I think might have been either Parma ham or prosciutto... there was one shrimp on each slice. actually it was cut in half lengthwise so i was not thrilled that my pizza cost 17 dollars... all in all though it was a pretty decent pizza. my friend let me try a slice of pepperoni pizza and it was pretty good. There is also a bar there, and I think they brew some of their own drinks (don't quote me on this). It is also nice that all their information is on their facebook page (including their menu). So here is my review: Food: 8/10 kinda upsetting to only get a half a slice of shrimp on each piece of pizza, but all in all pretty tasty. pepperoni slice was riddled with pepperoni... Atmosphere 9/10 kinda dark but has a nice atmosphere. There are T.V.s there and the place look really clean. Not a bad place to bring a date... Service 9/10 We got there late so the bartender was our server. I didn't think the pizza took too long to come out and she did a very good job checking on us to make sure we knew when the pizzas would come and also if we needed drinks. Price 7/10 it is on the higher end but I do think (somewhat) that it is worth what you pay... The pizzas were very good and other then the lack of some ingredients on my pizza. Overall I would recommend this place to friends. The service was nice and the food is good. I am also curious of the other types of food there.

Good selection without being over bearing. Service was slow but it was very busy. Tried three different pizzas and the Mac and cheese. All were we'll received and tasty. Place is VERY NOISEY! Will try again.

We drove an hour to try this, because the reviews were so good. They were right on target. We were offered bar seating, high-top tables or patio seating in 112 heat index lol. I preferred booth seating so waited 15 minute. Alexis, the hostess was a hard worker and aimed to please. It was worth the wait to get seated in Ryan's section, he was informative, recommending some of his favorites. We tried the 321 beer battered cheese curds with raspberry jalapeno sauce, which was unique and very tasty. My wine was great, but could have been a bit more chilled. We tried, "Three Pigs Pie" and the "Wild Mushroom & Sausage White Pie". I liked both, but if you don't like salty foods the Three Pigs Pie might be too salty for you. We were told new menus are in the works and Ryan showed my husband a more detailed beer list on his mobile device that he placed the order from and later swiped the credit card, for a quick pay method. I loved the decor, clean restroom/dining area and large parking lot. We will make reservations next time in case of a longer wait time. Every seat was full and yet everyone seemed content. Will definitely go again!

If you've ever been to Naples this is the real deal pizza, here in Bettendorf. Loved it. Will go back with my son, who lived in Naples for 2 years. Going to try the gelato root beer float. Looking forward to their carry out service. Service & decor gets 4 stars.

Very, very good pizza! If you like authentic Italian/Sicilian style pizza, this is as close as it gets for the QCA. After living in Europe for almost 10 years, I was extremely impressed! Fast, friendly service as well!

Really enjoyed it. Fun atmosphere. Great appetizers and pizza.

  • Christine W.

Definitely top notch for this community where good pizza choices are non-existent if you want premium ingredients and chef style combinations. Tried the grilled asparagus with truffle oil and their shrimp and sautéd chili's. Good on both accounts. Nice interior pub with an outdoor patio. No gluten free pizza options hence the ding on one star for us.

Had deep dish meat lovers. Best sauce I've ever had! Had cheese curds and garlic bread. The beer list is the best and classiest in the QCA. Service was perfect!

We had the cheese curds to start out with and they were super delicious! My parents got a caprese salad and it looked and tasted great! Pizza was good too! And we had an awesome server that was always checking up on us. Will definitely be back!

We went to Crust tonight for our one year old daughter's birthday dinner. Most people wouldn't bring their baby/toddler to an artisan pizza place, but my husband and I are foodies, and want her to experience high quality food from a young age. Anyway, our experience at Crust was wonderful. Our server, Ryan, was completely on top of things, along with being friendly and gracious. When I accidentally ordered a salad before noticing there was pancetta on it (I don't eat meat), Ryan apologized and not only brought us a new salad immediately, but gave my husband the salad with pancetta, free of charge. We ordered the Kimchi and Margherita pizzas, and they were both brought out quickly. The food was delicious as usual, and Ryan made sure to check in on us often, always asking how things tasted or offering drinks, dessert, etc. His suggestion to order the cheesecake was on point. My husband, our daughter and myself devoured it. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful first birthday for our daughter. We will definitely be back to Crust.

Tonight I enjoyed the Pizza Margherita in the traditional Italiano style even with slices of mozzarella fresco. This was authentic including the light salt in the dour. For dessert the chocolate caramel turtle cheesecake which had excellent presentation and molto delioso :) Great atmosphere and a pizza could be split easily if you don't want to leave stuffed.

By far one of the best pizza places I have ever been too in the country! And I've been all over! Great pizza options and amazing appetizers!! I would go here every single day if I could !!! They also have a great craft beer selection!!! And awesome cocktails!

Crust is within walking distance of our house, so you'd think we'd go there all the time. Problem is, if we went a lot, we'd HAVE to walk because we couldn't afford gas for our car after eating there. We love being able to eat outside, so this is one of the main reasons we go to Crust (also the cheese curds). Last night was perfect for eating outside and we enjoyed our group of 7. As others have said, the cheese curds are to die for. In fact, it's the only thing I ever get there (I admit that I have the palate of a two year old). I routinely get this appetizer as my meal. OK, not routinely - ALWAYS. Others in our group got pizzas and shared them. I like simple meat lovers type pizza, so I'm kind of out of luck at Crust. Their pizzas are the "fancy-schmancy" kind with "odd" ingredients. Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anything wrong with odd/different ingredients, I just don't like them, personally. Another thing that sets Crust apart is the beer list. When we first started going there, the beer list was fairly short and didn't have many choices for "beer-that-tastes-like-beer" (I.e. Micro-brewery beers). We hadn't been there in quite awhile, so I don't know how long they've had so many choices. I was in heaven: awesome curds AND awesome beer. My only REAL complaint about Crust is the prices. Our first beer was $10.00, then we found a few less pricey (but still kind of high-priced) brews. The pizza was expensive too. Like I said, if we frequented the place we'd HAVE to walk because we couldn't afford the gas. Our bill, for 2 people, was almost $80.00! In summary, if you like "foo-foo" pizza, an extensive beer list, and are on an expense account (or well-to-do), Crust could be a very good choice. UPDATE: Jeez, I reread this post and it sounded all negative. Then I turned around and gave it 4 stars. You need to keep my droll sense of humor in mind while reading this review. Crust is a fine restaurant, maybe even a great one. It just isn't a Happy Joes or a Frank's, or a Sports Fans. So if simple but not expensive is what you're looking for, go there instead. That's the REAL bottom line.

First time having fried cheese curds and they were AMAZING!!! and they come with a raspberry jalapeño dipping sauce. Pizza is great too, my wife and I shared the Steak & Chorizo pizza. It was plenty of food for the two of us. When we pulled up to the restaurant it looked busy and surprisingly we didn't have to wait even for our party of four adults and two kids. Kids menu is ok though don't get the fries for your little ones if you don't want your leftovers/fridge smelling like garlic.

  • Amanda L.

I was beginning to think the quad cities didn't have any great pizza until we came here. It is pricey ($15-18 for a 14") but well worth it. Original creations that taste fantastic! Nice upscale dining area feels more like a restaurant than a place primarily about pizza.

  • James P.

This has become my new 'go to' restaurant in the QC when friends come to visit. Great tasting food and an even better bar menu. For starters, you have to go with the fried cheese curds with raspberry jalapeño dipping sauce. The batter is not heavily greased and is reminiscent of funnel cake. The pizzas are different than your traditional pie. They are flash cooked at an insane temp for 90secs. This makes for a thin very runny cheese topping. I would recommend the chorizo and potato. It is their best pizza on the menu. If you still have room in your stomach for more, then try the marshmallow dessert pizza. It's sticky but worth it. There are many beer choices as well. Large bottles available of sour ales and more. Special items are always changing in order to change it up from the norm. What are you waiting for, go get a pizza now.

This was some seriously good, high quality pizza. It's very fresh too so you don't feel sick after eating it like every other pizza.

  • Kat P.

The wait time for a table was about an hour despite the hostess's estimate of 25-30. That said, both the hostess and the server were delightful if, at times, distracted. The pizza is ordinary, California-style pizza..nothing to either complain or write home about. The lighting in the restraint was dim, even before several lights had burned out. I really liked the music chosen, but it was overwhelmingly loud in the bar area and non existent in the seating area. I'll probably eat the food again, but most likely will take it to go.

  • Calista C.

Wonderful pizza and the best fried cheese curds I have ever had! Way better than Culver's. It is expensive, on the down side. It was a wonderful, quite place to have a business meeting, yet they still have tv's for football. Their beer selection was quite long, as well as their wine selection.

Thank you Crust for the holiday celebration!! Crust threw a New Years celebration for their customers. We came to drink and watch the ball drop and Crust threw in a very friendly staff, free table of appetizers, and a free champagne toast at midnight. We'll definitely be here again to bring in 2015.

Ok, so my family and I lived in Naples, Italy for 3+ years. This pizza is a great Neopolitan style, and you will like it IF you like Neopolitan-style pizza. This is to say, it has a thin crust, it is fired briefly in an wood-burning oven. It is floppy in the middle. We were not disappointed, because we headed in with a full knowledge of what Neopolitan pizza should look like. The Pizza Margarita was very close to the real deal, and really the only difference was that the cheese types in the U.S. are different than the cheese types in Naples, Italy. The only striking difference is the price... This is not a Neopolitan price... but then, the dough is imported from Italy, and the card on the table said that the tomatoes are from the Mt. Vesuvios region. If you're looking for an American pizza, you will not like this place. If you're looking for a true Italian pizza, you might find yourself sold to a new style of pizza! Then again, the toppings are fairly eclectic and beyond the norm, and you might want to check it out before heading out if you're not into combining toppings that surpass pepperoni or sausage or mushrooms. There's a kids' menu too, although it's pretty sparse. Just cheeseburger, nuggets, or a basic pizza. The place seemed a little confused to me... tablecloths, an essence of elegance, yet big screen tv's everywhere. However, I had a great time and I will gladly come back and nom on some more pizzas in the future. The cheese curds were amazing, and the martinis were yummy. And of course, the beers... what a huge selection of beers!! So... try it if you want a gourmet pizza inspired by Southern Italy itself. Bring an appetite, and bring a fair amount of cash.

Stopped here with a group of friends while we were in town on business. The cheese curds with raspberry jalapeno dipping sauce are amazing! I tried a couple different kinds of pizza and they were great. Decent selection of beers on tap although they are a bit pricey. I would certainly stop back if I'm in town again.

  • Lori D.

I am amazed at this place. The food is exquisite! Very nice ambiance and service. The wine selection is top notch with even a "Jordan" cab! I am blown away for this restaurant to be in the quad cities this is more the speed of a huge city.

  • Nina K.

Really good pizza and my husband loves the beer selection. I also love the unique pizzas they offer. Loved the wild mushroom and sausage pizza, but my all time favorite is the pancetta and manchego. I was skeptical at first (it has baby arugula on it) but it was so good. The flavors go so well together. They also have nice outdoor seating.

    (4)
  • Nick P.

They definitely know proper neapolitan pizza...the dough is amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place in the quad cities and I will return if I'm ever in town again. If you know good pizza and respect it, definitely patronize this restaurant. If you order Pizza Hut/Dominoes frequently and have never made dough or bread from scratch, keep driving. Service was good along with a great beer/wine list... Only complaint...I wish they would have opted for a real authentic wood fire oven. I personally have a wood fire oven in my backyard and the wood smoke really intensely flavors the dough. But, nevertheless, they still make an amazing pizza. great damn place

  • Danyel G.

Love their pizza!! Awesome crust and the toppings are wonderful!! You must try the cheese balls with the raspberry jalapeño sauce!! It rocks. They also have one of the best burgers around. Never disappointed.

Great place with awesome specials that change weekly! This place is helping the QCA by providing some great culinary variation. The name doesn't priced this place justice as they are much more than just pizza but utilize their oven to make other great stuff too. Also, Jamie the bartender is great and ensures you find a great beer to go with your food.

    (5)
  • Emily N.

If you're looking for a new and different pizza in the QCA-you need to try Crust. Delicious thin crust stone oven pizza! We have been here a couple times and haven't been let down with any if our choices. Do yourself a favor and order their cheese curds-and enjoy their extensive revolving beer selections! This place gets crazy busy on weekends-so if possible get there early. We arrived at 5:30pm and by time we left at 7 we over heard there was an hour and half wait. It's definitely worth it though- happy to see a place like this in the area.

  • Tom D.

Ive never had fried curds, these were really different! Pizza utilized an ample amount of cornmeal underneath the pie, which I appreciate! Sauce and cheese ratio was perfect.

  • Jimmy C.

The Cheese bites are awesome and taste just like funnel cake. The pizza was good. Not the best I have ever had, but it was good. Extensive beer menu, ranging from $4 to $27 a bottle. Friendly staff that was very knowledgeable about the beer selection.

    (4)
  • Cat K.

Still delicious and often crowded. The wait is worth it for yummy pizza and an awesome beer selection. I've learned that Crust does rotate their menu seasonally; they also feature different appetizers and special pizzas until they run out. Yum!

Good service, fair prices, great good. Had grilled asparagus (amazing), house salad (slightly overdressed but good flavor) and the sausage and mushroom pizza (milder than anticipated but thoroughly enjoyable). Splurged on a special dessert pizza with Nutella, toasted marshmallow and raspberries. SO good.

  • Robert M.

I understand the concept of Neopolitan pizza, so I know what they're trying to do here. The pizza is inconsistent, sometimes just the right amount of char on the crust, sometimes it's very overdone. It's expensive, and the alcohol is ridiculously priced. The staff seems to be friendly, so I'll give it 1 star for the occasionally decent food, and 1 for the friendly staff.

    (2)
  • Greg R.

I've only have been there to drink . They have some beers that you will not find anywhere in the QC. They are on the pricey side though. It isn't a rip off they just have some great beers that happen to be expensive. The bartender gave me a taster of a barrel aged rye beer that they had on draft. I didn't ask for it but he knew I would like it and in turn I ended up ordering it for my next beer. The bar staff is very knowledgeable about the beverages they serve. I have overheard them talking about the beers, wine and craft cocktails they have or make. One of these days I will eat there, it's just that I end up there after I get off work at my restaurant, another near by pizza place, so it is hard for me to order pizza when I already smell like pizza before I enter the building. Never have that problem with beer though.

  • Kirk H.

I love this new restaurant. The pizza is so different but with the use of quality ingredients, it is very good. The friend mozzarella is awesome. It is a mix of fried cheese and a funnel cake batter. The jalapeño raspberry dip is what makes it shine. I have tried 5 different pizzas but the best is braised meatball! Close second was their special pizza, chicken enchilada. I will definitely return.

Best Italian style thin crust pizza I've had in the USA. Not a true wood fired oven, but even the Italians wouldn't complain too much (I lived there 13 years). The Pepperoni and the Margarita pizzas are simple but delicious. Must confess we attend almost weekly. If you like wine to complement your pizza, Wednesday bottles are 1/2 price.

A couple months ago I saw in the paper that this place was opening, and I made a mental note to try it out. I finally made it out the other night, and I absolutely loved it! I was greeted by the hostess as we entered, and she seated us near their open kitchen. I always take it as a good sign when you can see into a restaurant's kitchen as they make your meal. The atmosphere was contemporary with nice woodwork and a beautiful bar. I ordered the 312 Beer Battered Cheese Curds and the Pancetta and Manchego pizza. First, the cheese curds: they were incredible! These are far and away the best fried cheese curds I've ever had. The batter was light and crispy, and the cheese was a very tasty white cheddar that had melted into a wonderful creamy texture during the cooking process. They were served with a homemade (as the server told us) raspberry jalapeno dipping sauce, which was sweet and a little spicy. Normally fried cheese curds are served with marinara or ranch dressing, so I was intrigued to try them with this new sauce. It was a perfect pairing, and I would recommend this dish to anyone and everyone. My pizza came out shortly thereafter, and it was delicious. As an explanation on our table outlined, it is cooked in the traditional Sicilian style with flour from Italy and in a wood-fired 900 degree over which cooks it in 90 seconds. The pizza had an almost paper-thin crust and was covered with fresh ingredients that were exceptional. The combination of salty, savory, and crisp flavors that were included in each bite was truly a delight. The edge of the crust was crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. My companion had the house salad from the appetizer menu for her main dish, and it was too large to finish, which is great for something consider an "appetizer". She had many good things to say about her meal. Our server was very helpful and informative, and she made excellent recommendations to us. While we ate inside, it looked like they had a nice patio area outside with many diners enjoying their meals out there. It's great to have a place like this in Quad Cities. I really love their unique takes on traditional dishes and their exceptionally well-defined brand. I hope Crust continues to thrive and that more restaurants with unique and inspired menus take hold in this area. I recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will be back for a second experience soon.

Summary: Good (close to great) food. Service and customer management needs substantial improvement. Despite this, I highly recommend Crust. All in all, the Quad Cities need more quality, reasonably priced, non-chain establishments like this. Unfortunately, my experience of very good food at Crust was severely overshadowed by very poor service. This review focuses primarily on the service incident. Our party of 3 arrived to a relatively crowded restaurant at 6:30pm on a Friday evening. The issue with service and customer management occurred while waiting to be seated. We waited a reasonable 15 minutes at the bar before our name was called. At that point, we took the option for an additional 15-30 minute quoted wait for an outside table. From this point we waited 45 minutes with no table. I inquired with the hostess, who told me our party had been seated. Apparently when they called our name, another party claimed the name and was seated (while also increasing the party size from our 3 to their 5). This was frustrating, but accidents happen (hopefully the seated party misheard the name, rather than intentionally claiming the wrong table). However, I was even more displeased with how the restaurant handled it. Once brought to the hostess's attention, she promised we'd be seated shortly. Long story short, we were not seated for an additional 45 minutes. The manager never addressed the issue with the party who took our table (although I realize that's a difficult situation - not sure if I'd expect her to?). We were initially offered a free appetizer (which we declined) to compensate for our wait. We did receive a round of drinks on the house, which was a nice gesture. Finally, after waiting around 1 hour 45 minutes, we were seated to enjoy our meal. Before addressing the food, a few take aways for management: (1) It's great that the restaurant is crowded, but this makes seating parties efficiently even more important. Perhaps consider a more rigorous system for tracking your wait list, which would also allow you to provide more accurate estimated wait times. (2) When mistakes happen, customer communication becomes even more important. I had to constantly approach the hostess for updates. Even the manager, while seemingly working hard behind the scenes to help us, only spoke with us once. She assured us they were working on it. Don't assure me. Tell me what you are doing. And give me realistic estimates, even if they are bad. I'm much happier with you setting a negative expectation and then exceeding it than the reciprocal. (3) Mistakes happen, but they need to be fixed more quickly. This is most difficult because I don't know what you could have done, but it needed to be something. Once seated we enjoyed out meal very much. Our waiter, who had been our bar tender all night, provided excellent service both at the bar and at the table. Among the 3 of us, we split the margherita, panchetta & manchego, and the housemade sausage & pepperoni pizzas. All were classic style Neapolitan pizzas, well prepared with fresh ingredients. Panchetta & manchego was my favorite, while at the same time drawing my largest criticism. I'm partial to the ingredients, so I loved the high quality ingredients on this pizza. However, the resulting saltiness was (nearly?) overpowering. Given the nature of panchetta and manchego, this shouldn't really be surprising. This mainly serves as a warming to future customers - be sure you enjoy these ingredients and intense saltiness before ordering. It's quite powerful. This would have been a 4-star review had it not been for the seating fiasco. Most likely this was a 1-off event, but I hope management works to keep it that way. I will gladly return and am happy to see a locally owned place serving premium food without an uppity atmosphere succeed in the Quad Cities.
