This place is wonderful. Food is fresh and authentic. Amazing flavor. Tortillas are house made and incredibly soft. For this alone I prefer them to Chipotles. Excellent service. Been here three days and ate there twice. I fully expect to go again before the long drive home. Live long and prosper, Pancheros! And expand to New York! Please!

Fast, fresh and efficient.....you can't beat that. I've eaten here dozens of times at various times of the day and have never been disappointed. From the Sunday after Church rush, to the lunch and dinner mobs, my orders are perfect! Plenty of "bang for your buck" when it comes to the burritos. Add to it from a vast array of veggies, cheese and hot sauces, to your meal.

I was always a Chipotle guy and never had Pancheros before until a group of coworkers wanted to eat there for lunch. I actually did not know what Pancheros had to offer until I walked in and realized "Oh this is like a Chipotle" Writing this review I have already been to this Pancheros multiple times because I enjoy it. The best way I know how to describe it is that it has a more "Cooked" taste than Chipotle burritos. The Guac from Chipotle is far superior than any burrito place I've eaten at, including Pancheros. However, the Queso sauce from Pancheros is amazing. I get Queso in my burrito here instead of Guac. Now the Guac is not bad, I just dont find it as flavorful as Chipotle. The tortilla used here is freshly made as gives it that soft texture. This location is usually pretty busy during peak hours and parking could a challenge due to the large parking lot being shared with multiple shops and restaurants. Price is pretty standard for build your burrito shops. Staff at this location has always been friendly, no issues. Until Ankeny gets a Chipotle, this is my go to burrito place.

The blue corn chips were great. Black beans were a little under cooked. Liked being able to see them press the fresh tortillas. This is a nice alternative to Qdoba, but we still like Qdoba better.

Ordered online from hotel nearby, drove 2 miles to pick it up. The order was ready when we got there. Chicken tacos were very good as well as the chicken burrito, very filling!!

We really like this particular Pancheros (we like all 3 of them we've tried, but especially this one). The evening crew is as friendly as can be. They're clearly hard workers and they have presented us with great attitudes multiple times. Like many other places, it's obvious that the evening crew likes to get out the door as close to quiting time as possible; but who can fault them. They don't let that interfere with serving customers right up until closing time. The food is reasonably priced and great quality. The food taste great too. And the veggies are as fresh as they can be.

I travel a bit for work, and if I'm alone for the night - I always check Yelp for some good takeout in the area. We don't have this chain in my area and this place was down the street from the hotel so I decided to check it out. They didn't believe that my internet order was real because of the MA address but the the service was very friendly and they made recommendations to me that didn't disappoint. In New England, we pretty just have Taco Bell for taco chains so I was really impressed by the freshly cooked vegetables, pressed tortillas, and quality toppings. I could see this place being great for a late night snack if you've had a few drinks.

Best burrito in the area. A variety of fresh meats and accompaniments. The salsa and chips are completely addictive. Bottles of beer available. Quick and competent (if generally indifferent) staff.

If you like those huge burritos that you can barely finish, but force yourself to eat anyway, then you'll like Panchero's. This place had a lot to choose from to stuff into a burrito. They have handmade tortillas too. I don't know if they have this chain outside Iowa. It's worth stopping if your in the area. Soo goood!

Sorry to say, this restaurant is slipping. They discontinued one of the most flavorful selections, barbacoa. The "steak" that we chose as replacement was not flavorful. I have eaten here many times, it is one of my favorites, so when things decline I notice it. Condiments were not fresh, and lately they wanted to charge extra for everything. Chips and queso still tasty, but they reduced the amount of chips! Also, wouldn't hurt to smile and be friendly. Management, better listen up, because business will reflect the decline in food quality and service. Not coming back until I see barbacoa on the menu again.

This is Iowa's answer to Chipotle. Pretty good burritos and healthy Mexican food choice. Home-made tortillas are great.

Food was ok...staff was grumpy & rude. Definatly no smiles or thank yous! A woman that seemed to be a manager barked orders as I was being helped at the only girl who was actually trying. Too bad! One person's bad mood can be so infectious!

This was our first Panchero's experience! We stopped by because a lot of our friends were telling us that it is far better than Qdoba's. While we still prefer Qdoba's, the burrito here was very good! We loved how they grilled the tortilla and then mixed all the ingredients up before wrapping it. The flavor was very unique. The Flavolcano hot sauce they provide has a great smoky flavor. Additionally, the place was clean, the price was right and the people were friendly, taking time to explain flavors to us. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely return again!

Chipotle/Q'doba type fast food restaurant. Wish they had a whole wheat or veggie burrito.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
