A stop at Stillwells is a must, especially if you're visiting the island! I order their cream horns to take back home, along with their pumpkin and blueberry muffins... They're sooooo delish! For lunch, I usually have the Oriental chicken salad or the crab cake sandwich. Both are satisfying, I guarantee you that you won't be disappointed!

This place is so cute and has so many delicious foods to choose from. Located just outside of Kahului on the way to Wailuku, it's got nice views of Iao Valley. The parking lot is a pretty good size so parking shouldn't be much of an issue. There is lots of seating inside and 3 tables outside. I was waiting for a friend so I had a few minutes to browse and narrow down my selection. The French horns tried to take me down-they were on the list. But that strawberry Florantin cup... It sang songs to my soul. There was no turning back now. I ordered and grabbed a table outside--it was really packed inside. I guess everyone else knows where to go for good grub. It was a hot day so we were really thankful to have a spot with shade. So, the florentine looked good, but it tasted even better. It was perfectly sweet with a nice crispy outside shell. The prices are decent and the staff is friendly. One of the employees came by a few times to make sure the garbages were emptied and the tables were clean. Stillwell's has a nice variety of sandwiches and salads too. Many people stopping in, grabbing lunch and heading back to work. If you haven't stopped in yet, head over and indulge.

Had the worst service as I was picking up a cake for my aunts funeral. The girl at the counter couldn't find our cake ... The owner started yelling at the counter girl from the back of the kitchen to the front register area ... Then he looked at me and started yelling at me, the customer ?!? I'm a local, live here all my life, you know it just by looking at me that I'm Hawaiian. My Aunty who passed, as well as, generations before me, are born and raised here on Maui. Word of mouth goes a long way on an island. I do admit, the food is Ono and unique

Stillwell's Bakery & Cafe is a great place for a simple lunch--they have a variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups that are a fresh and healthy alternative to plate lunch. Sandwiches are made with their homemade sandwich bread, thick sliced with a super chewy crust, and come with chips or a salad, plus you can add a soup. You want the salad, and you want to pay to upgrade your side salad to a Chinese Chicken Salad, because you will love the crunchy won ton strips and super tasty, will anyone notice if I start licking my plate, salad dressing. If you're hungry, add the soup, the variety changes, so check the menu board. And you shouldn't leave Stillwell's without a box of goodies from their dessert case. They have beautiful whole and sliced pies, and individual servings of creme brûlée, tarts, cheesecakes, mousse, cakes, and of course, their famous cream horns. If you like cannoli, try the cream horn, it has a firm, flaky crust and a lightly sweet custard filling. Start from the plain end because the chocolate dipped side is the perfect last bite. Stillwell's is perfect for a work day lunch or to pick up sweets to take to your next gathering. Enjoy!

While working on Maui today, my Yelp buddy - Nat N. gave me a wonderful tip the other day to check out this place called - Stillwell's Bakery & Cafe in Wailuku, (as she knows that I am a big fan of custard). After finishing up a few jobs in Kahului, I decided to break off for a quick lunch. I turn on my GPS on my phone, & navigate myself up to Stillwells. Surprisingly, this place was easy to find, I would say as you head up the hill towards Wailuku, just before you get to the old famous bridge, Stillwell's Bakery & Cafe is just to your right before the bridge. Apparently this place is only opened for Breakfast & Lunch......they don't do dinner. The breakfast menu is served from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. And the lunch menu is served between 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Upon walking into the Bakery/Cafe, I could see it was a very small cafe, where there is probably like 8 tables or so. You basically read the wall menu, then you walk up to the counter to order your food, after you place your food order, just look for an open table to sit down. The clerk will bring out your food to your table. I basically came here to try the famous Cream Horn (thanks for da tip - Nat N.!), but since they also served lunch, I decided to have a light lunch over here, and picked up a Chinese Chicken Salad. What can I say about the GRINDZ? The Chinese Chicken Salad. 1st of all, I was pleasantly surprised about the Chinese Chicken Salad! I gotta tell you folks......... it was a BOMB @ss good salad!!!! I would actually come back here to eat this salad again! Really, it was that good! I loved the oriental dressing, the shredded chicken, as well as the little crunch chips that complimented the salad so well! Noms! The 1/2 serving was $6.95.......yeah, a bit on the pricey side for a 1/2 serving, but it tasted so good! When I come back here in the near future........I swear, I will do the full salad and pony up the $11.00 bucks or so for this salad! Now, to the item which I came here for - The Cream Horn. What is a Cream Horn? Well, a cream horn is a flaky rolled up pastry with cream injected in the middle. One end of the horn is dipped in chocolate, and the top of the pastry roll is dusted with powdered sugar. That's the best way I can describe a cream horn my friends! What can I say about the Cream Horn...........well, it was good,............but it still cannot stand next to my all time favorite - "Snow Puffies" from the Paalaa Kai Bakery in Waialua! (See! Lar Lar S. & Lisa S., you folks are da devil! See what cha' folks did to me? I am hooked! Lol!) The Cream Horn pastry was flaky, but a bit hard (my Yelp buddy Ric C. put best as he described it like a "cannoli").......I wanna say it was hard in the sense of a "cracker crunch", as far as the pastry texture goes (When I bit into the cream horn, it was crunchy). It is so different from the light & flaky pastry texture of a Apple Naples from Zippy's, or the light & flaky pastry texture of the Snow Puffie from Paalaa Kai Bakery. I guess that's how the cream horn's pastry is made.......now, about the cream filling of the cream horn. The custard type filling of the cream horn was delicious! It was rich & creamy..........and I must say it complimented the crunchy pastry. To top it off, on one end of the cream horn is dipped in chocolate, and the entire pastry was dusted in powered sugar.......how's that for SUGAR OVERLOAD! Can we say "early onset diabetes?" Lol! Anyways, I noticed this Bakery/Cafe does a lot of soup & sandwiches. The breakfast menu also looked pretty good, but unfortunately I got there way too late today................and I'm talking waaaaaaaaaaay past breakfast time.........and it was pretty late for lunch too (when I got here). There is free parking in the private parking lot, but the parking lot is shared by other businesses (real estate office, tire shop, & a few other businesses) in the small complex. Overall, a nice little bakery/cafe! They do have other types of pastry items too.............I was kinda eyeing out the tiramisu.........but had to control myself, as I'm trying to keep my boyish figa. Buwahahahaha! Check 'em out gang! No can go wrong!

Small but quant and cute, great outdoor patio. Good was very good, pastries looked great but didn't try anything! There was a man behind the counter that appeared to orthodox be the owner, maybe chef......whoever it was found stay away from the fat of the house! He had a negative look about him as well as he was grouchy and seemed aggravated! Even if you are, hide it until guests are gone, identify the problem and fix it.

I hear you cannot visit Maui without making a stop at Stillwell's Bakery. Believe me, I tried. When I was creating the itinerary, we were short on time and so I had crossed out the bakery. Both my coworker and husband looked at me like I was crazy after hearing this. But now that I have sampled the famous Stillwell's cream horns, I know why. The flakey pastry is amazing and the cream is sandwiched between just the right amount of chocolate. It is wonderful. Sad to say, there is nothing quite like it on Oahu. They sell them frozen, but I recommend the fresh ones if you can buy them close to your flight time. Definitely a must when visiting Maui.

STILLWELL'S BAKERY & CAFÉ @1740 KAAHUMANU AVE: I have been a fan of their cookies. Prepacked 12 cookies for $10.00 is a great deal. This makes a great souvenir. Although this might not last for a long time. I recommend you put this in fridge in Hawaii if you are keeping them more than a few days. They serve breakfast too! Next time, I will try crème Brule and tiramisu!

My now-husband and I got married in Maui almost a week ago and Stillwell's created our cake for us. I had never had anything they had made prior to this cake, so naturally I was nervous. We ordered a 2 tiered cake with a passion fruit tier and a chocolate tier. The cake was so tasty that people went back for seconds and thirds. While both tiers were great, the passion fruit was by far my favorite. The team at Stillwell's did a great job fulfilling my vision for what the cake would look like as well. They were prompt with answering my many emails and coordinating getting the cake decoration supplies like ribbon. Overall, I was very, very happy that we went with Stillwell's for our wedding cake. They did a fantastic job!

The bakery products looked fabulous, but we were here for breakfast. Breakfast was ok, not exceptional. Ham was ordinary, bacon was thick but very well done. Eggs were small and fresh. Pancakes were good, but the old batter required a knife to cut through the bottom to get individual bites. No decaf. All plastic utensils. Decent breakfast, but not a destination. We will go back to pick up pastries and/or pie slices. They looked fabulous.

Have never heard of this restaurant before so we definitely used Yelp for references and reviews on where to eat for breakfast. This place popped up and I'm beyond pleased with our choice. The service was excellent and everyone there was very friendly. The food literally came out in 10 minuets and I swear I inhaled my breakfast. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a home style breakfast, with an awesome pastry selection. Haven't tried breakfast or dinner but I can't imagine it being anything short of delicious.

Service superb. Super nice people and seems family owned. Greeted right away when I arrived. Order took about 10 mins to be served. The hapa boy was just what I needed! A little bit of everything. Two eggs, two choices of meat, & pancakes. The hubs had the croissant with egg and spam. YUM! Simple and delicious. Ohh my goodness the pastry!!!! Fruit tart had the right amount of everything...fruits, chocolate, cream, nuts on the tart crust. Yummmy!

Great desserts at great prices! My husband and I went right after breakfast for some sweets! Hey don't judge! We are on vacation! My husband got the small cream horn, which was kind of like a cannoli pastry with chocolate and cream. It was delicious, flakey, and not too sweet. I could have eaten a whole box if I wasn't about to go to the beach later that day. I got the macadamian nut creme pie. It was a bit sweeter than the cream horn, but not killer. It had an even distribution of mac nut and was very fluffy. The crust was so yummy! I also have to add that the lady at the ordering desk was so sweet and chatted with us while we stuffed our face. She didn't even judge us for ordering desserts at 8am! We would definitely go back.

After 3 cake tastings (THREE) on Maui, we were starting to get worried we wouldn't find our perfect wedding cake. When our wedding coordinator told us about Stillwell's, we drove right over and bought a few slices of their cake. Without even trying the specific flavor of our wedding cake (it wasn't available that day), we were sold. Stillwell's makes the highest quality wedding cakes on the island, in my opinion. Don't be fooled by the local-style restaurant and casual ambiance -- they are super professional and make gorgeous looking and delicious wedding cakes. They just also happen to sell plate lunch, k?! ;) The cake itself is light, fluffy, and not dense or "homemade" tasting like some of the other cakes we sampled on Maui. Not that homemade is a bad thing...but it's just hard to explain. We chose the lilikoi mousse filling on white cake with buttercream frosting, and it was phenomenal. The lilikoi mousse was bright with just a touch of tartness, and the frosting was smooth and creamy and light. It was just wonderful. The design was simple, smooth buttercream with cascading mokara orchids. Just beautiful work. Our guests enjoyed the cake (we also had shave ice, for fun!) and told us how delicious they thought it was. I'm so glad we were able to keep the top tier, freeze it and bring it on the plane so we have some to enjoy on the mainland...and on our 1yr anniversary! :)

I just had to try the Lilikoi Cheesecake. Made the drive from Ka'anapali since I had to feed my sweet tooth craving. I was happy when I walked-up to the counter and saw they still had a couple of the Lilikoi Cheesecakes left. It was absolutely amazing. The perfect texture to the cheesecake and it was delicious. I also ordered and devoured an Apple Tart as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will need to go earlier to try some of their other goodies. Their breakfasts and salads looked good too, so you can bet I'll be back.

I stopped I here for breakfast looking for a simple, nutritious, tasty meal.. And was not disappointed. For breakfast they have a variety of staples.. pancakes, eggs, meats. Plus all of the baked goods including the famed cream horns (and mini cream horns.) My food came out in just a few minutes, just as I ordered, and fit bill exactly. Reading so many reviews on the cream horns I had to try one. I'd say it was good but not life changing. The horn itself was unexpectedly hard, so even with the mini size it was harder than expected to eat. You can't really go wrong with pastry, cream, chocolate, and powdered sugar.. But I imagined it better than it was. Still, I will definitely return when searching for a quick & tasty breakfast.

WOW. That's all that comes to mind when I think of the box of mixed goodies I took home after my first visit. I have heard about this spot from various people on island, and finally had a reason to go, when my auntie was in town. I thought this would be a tad bit more personalized than a cake, so I stopped in to grab some sweets. The bakery area was much bigger than I thought, with a lot of pastry chefs in the back hard at work. I picked up a creme brulee, a fruit tart, an apple crisp and one of their acclaimed cream horns. Everyone there was very nice and helpful. My auntie's eyes lit up when she saw the box of goods. All and all, a perfect fit, Stillwell's.

Came to get a lunch. First time visiting. When sandwich arrived I'm confident all the ingredients but the bread are from Costco. Also, they charge you if you want to substitute for a different cheese. Pretty weak. The desserts look good though.

It's all about the legendary cream horn. I heard about them through various people, so when I found myself on the island of Maui, I had to get my grubby hands on one of them. It was totally worth the trip. Everything that I had heard about the horn was true. It was extremely flaky. It was delicious. And it certainly was an item that makes dreams come true. I can only imagine how good the rest of their offerings are. If the horn was just the beginning, the rest of the menu at Stillwell's must have designed by the gods.

I have had to get cakes in a number of locations, including NYC, San Francisco, Pebble Beach area and some European locations. This past week I needed to find a birthday cake for my grandson's first birthday, while staying in Maui, as well as a wedding cake. I thought that my grandson would have to settle for a Costco cake since the bakeries I had been to were not impressive. I decided to check the Stillwell bakery out before resorting to something that was, um, not my first choice. I ordered a Winnie the Pooh form cake for him, and it was amazing. It was three layers, all in the shape of Winnie. I selected banana cake with banana filling, the baby's favorite flavor, and it was perfect! I also ordered a wedding cake for my son's wedding at this bakery, and requested that it be delivered at the wedding site, a rural location down a few miles of a bumpy dirt road through a sugar cane field. The cake arrived on time, and was beautiful as well as an excellent cake. The individual tiers were impressively high, with four layers of cake on each tier. The cake itself was not too sweet, as was the filling. In this case, the newlyweds selected chocolate cake, one tier with banana filling and the other with coconut. It was decorated exactly as requested, with a yummy buttercream frosting, decorated with elegant scrolls on each layer. I worked with Judy, who was very responsive to our various requests in ordering cakes for the two occasions. My only suggestion is that they have better telephone response--I called twice to inquire about the birthday cake, and did not get a call back. I went to the bakery in person so I could place the order. It is not far from the Kahului airport and serves meals, so it was a good decision to go there. The lillikoi cheesecake is incredible, as is everything else I tasted in the name of insuring the right quality for the wedding cake.

Date of Visit: 1/25/14 *Day Trip to Maui! #mkLOVEntures What did we order? After having breakfast at Tasty Crust, my wife was craving something sweet. On our list of places to visit was Stillwell's, so we quickly stopped by to order some cream horns. We ordered their traditional cream horn. The cream horn was covered with more than enough powdered sugar and after the first bite into the flaky pastry, you'll get taste of that famous cream filling. Not too sweet, not too bland...just perfect! Will we be back? Yes, I would take another day trip just to order a couple dozen of these cream horns.

Every time I come to Maui I stop here. It's fresh and simple enough to be considered American fare, but you feel like you're getting a slice of Maui since it's such a landmark with the locals. Chinese chicken salad is my fave and I always share a pastry. So yummy.... Beware it is like $4 for one piece. But it's an indulgence so just enjoy....

If you've got some extra calories and fat to spare, be sure to stop by Stillwell's for their famous cream horns. With two sizes available (mini $1.80, regular $2.95), these vanilla custard cream filled pastries will bring you delight once you bite into the crispy flaky cylindrical crust. A little sprinkle of powdered sugar tops it all off. Unfortunately, I haven't had anything else here but the cream horn is worth the drive from Kahului.

It's my 100th review!! YAY!! This bakery has a special little place in my heart.. found it via yelp, through a new yelp friend of mine! :) (Aloha, Kristen S!!) We visited Maui in February 2015 and were pleasantly surprised with our super short and super sweet visit! Came here literally just for the cream horns. I ordered 2, one for me and one for my future hubby. When the little lady rung me up, I fiddled in my wallet for exact change while she turned around for a quick second. I handed over my cash and coins, and she in turn gave me the sweetest aloha-filled smile, said, "Happy Valentine's Day!" and then handed me a long stem red rose!! I was so surprised, I'm pretty sure I giggled.. then she looked at my man standing next to me and whispered loudly, "Now you don't have to go out and get her any flowers!" LOL!!!!!!!! :D So then we took our cream horns to-go to our rental car.. opened it up, and scarfed it down so fast that the parked cars next to us could watch powdered sugar puffs coming out between each bite!! It was sooo good we were tempted to go in and get more.. but decided it would be best if we left more onolicious desserts for our next trip. Mahalo, Stillwell's Bakery and Cafe, for making our Valentine's day that much sweeter! We will definitely be back for another set of cream horns and will make more time in our travel schedule to sit down for a meal next time we're on island. A hui hou!! :)

I love the bakery at Stillwell, but not there prices. There way too high, $4.95 for a chocolate eclair. .. The lowest price was the mini cream horns for $1.95. your sandwiches are great, but too $$$ also.... Wish your company would rethink about the prices your charging and make them fair. Then I will be back to buy your food and awesome baked goods. Sad customer. ..

Stillwells is a long time favorite for us locals on Maui! I usually gravitate towards the Crabcake sandwich (on focaccia with the Cesar salad) as it always (consistency) comes to me with warm crabcakes that warm the bread! The tomatoes and Lettuce that adorn the sandwich are crisp, fresh, and flavorful!! I love this sandwich! For me, I eat half at lunch along with the salad and eat the rest for a late afternoon snack or early dinner! So the portion sizes are excellent! I've also had the chicken salad sandwich, the Greek salad, the Asian Chicken salad, and the Reuben which is my other fav!! The desserts are amazing! The Banana cream pie is so good and delicious!! The staff are always helpful and friendly! The wait time is not too bad but there Seats and water to drink while you wait! Eat here!! You will love it!

The cake we ordered special for my birthday was inedible. The cake, which was suppose to be chocolate, was extremely dry and tasted old. We had asked for vanilla buttercream frosting, it had zero flavor and the texture was wax-like. We took the uneaten cake back the following morning and were told we should have had custard put in the cake so it wouldn't be dry!!! Why would a fresh baked cake be dry? And we were told they "don't usually make buttercream frosting". If they knew they couldn't prepare the cake we wanted, they should have told us when we ordered it. They eventually refunded our money, but I would never go here again.

I don't know if they have new cooks or what but the quality has gone way down the past 3 times: and last time I eat there. A 10.50 cold turkey sandwich with a piece a turkey on it, dry cold bread, no chesse?!? What am I paying for bread?! You make that!? The warming up the bread, something to show you tried to make a decent sandwich. Overpriced! The sweets are ok, if they are fresh. Oh and why won't you make a egg sandwich with a over easy egg? The runny egg will add some moisture to your dry ass breakfast sandwich! Get a clue.

  • Janet C.

Had lunch here with my husband. My husband got chicken noodle soup with a roll and that was good. I tried a local favorite - dry mien with ham. It was okay... A bit bland. Got 2 mini cream corns to go, and they were tasty!

  • Edward W.

The cream horn is really unique. It tastes kind of flaky and the chocolate dipped end is sweet. I also ordered the hapa boy, which came with a decent amount of food. The portuguese sausage was yummy and everything else was decent. The portion size was perfect to last me through the Road to Hana. I'd highly recommend trying the cream horn here.

Good food.... But service leaves a freaking lot to be desired. They should just stick with being a bakery instead of pretending to be a breakfast place.

Good pastries, but the prices are quite high. I guess they're known for their cream horns, but I wasn't impressed. The cream horns at Costco taste much better, in my opinion. I've had the cookies and other pastries there, and again, not impressed. I'm a junk food junkie and don't feel the urge to return, at least not for desserts. Maybe I'll try their fresh breads and sandwiches. I'll update this review either way if I do..

There are soooooooo many places on Maui that I wish were on Oahu... and Stillwell's Bakery is definitely one of them!!! We had a failed attempt to go to Stillwell's on Sunday (they are closed) so we went back Monday and yay for them being open! Pastries/cakes/pies galore! yelp.com/user_local_phot… yelp.com/user_local_phot… Our friends ordered the chocolate mousse which they enjoyed. yelp.com/user_local_phot… I brought home some dinner rolls because they were so unbelieveably soft! yelp.com/user_local_phot… The eclair was HUGE and very yummy! yelp.com/user_local_phot… The cream horn was not bad. It wasn't that great either... BUT I believe we're comparing it to the cream horn from Kula Bistro which was outstanding! yelp.com/user_local_phot… Saved the best for last... the chocolate cream pie. *AMAZING* THE BEST CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE I'VE EVER HAD!!! Ohhhhh how I wish this place was on Oahu!!! PLEASE TRY THE CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE!!! yelp.com/user_local_phot… Fast and friendly service. An assortment of items where everyone will find something that they like. We didn't try anything for lunch... but the pastries certainly satisfied us!

So I just got back from stillwells and I'm very disappointed! I love going here for their cream horns, but I had ordered 3 mini cream horns and I large cream horn. I had also tipped the guy an extra $2. I was very disappointed to come all the way home and find out that we only had 2 mini cream horns :( it is very inconvenient for me to have to drive all the way back for my missing mini cream horn because I start work at 2. So very disappointed.... :( make sure you guys check your bags before leaving! Never going here again.....

Horrendous service. Tried to order a cake for my dad's birthday and apparently only the chef can make decisions about what can be ordered and delivered when it comes to cakes. And he isn't available on a Monday at 2:40. And they aren't sure when he will be available.

I honestly have no idea why Stilwell's is so highly regarded as the go-to place to get baked goods on Maui. Clearly, most of the people who go here have never tasted great pastries or have no taste buds. My sister and I went there a couple weeks ago and the lady at the front looked extremely irritated. When we were about to place our order, she acted as if she hadn't heard us and walked away. When she finally came back, we ordered a couple of eclairs, some mini cream horns, tiramisu and a chocolate mousse cup. Everything looked really good and the prices were manageable, but nothing really stood taste wise. I've had better tiramisu from Foodland! Maybe I'll give this spot another chance and try some of their actual food the next time I'm in the area to take my dog to the vet, but otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

This was one of the strangest restaurant interactions I've ever had. I so wish I would have had a video camera. I asked for the egg Sando with my egg over medium. To me, that means cooked with a thick, but runny, yolk. No exaggeration here, the short order cook told me in his most exasperated, condescending voice possible, "you are a laymen...I'm a professional. I cook the egg through. Over medium means cooked all the way through". Oh, I says. Ok. Well, I'd like it kinda runny in the old yolkski. Shorter order cook says, "You want it runny?! In a sandwich!?" It's ok. I'll just have some spinach quiche I say. Short order cook says, "well, I'll do it. But, no one else would ever do this". I was cracking up inside. But, since I'm a laymen, I let the maestro work. It came out cooked all the through with a hard yolk. So totally bizarre. I didn't bother talking to this character out of a Seinfeld episode. Front desk lady who rang me up was super nice. Poor lady has to work with grumpy-pants-short-order-egg-professional. Oh, all of their baked goods looked great. I had a drip coffee which was also good. I would return for baked goods. But, I guess I'm the only guy in America that likes his breakfast sandwich with a runny yolk.

DELICIOUS. Breakfast sandwhich was tops. They use real eggs. The Florentine Cup is outstanding. Screw the high density mega hotel buffets. Eat your breakfast at Stillwells the a steady stream of locals.

I love the chocolate ganache cake. Our favorite cake on Maui. We have yet to try the other cakes. The pastries is oh so good!

I recently ordered a cake from Stillwell for my wedding. Whille coordinating from the mainland to have a Maui wedding, it was so smooth working with Stillwell. They were always responsive via email and it was easy communicating with them. The cake was delivered on time, decorated as planned and WOW was it good! We ordered a two tier round cake and also a 1/2 sheet. The cake was super moist, sweet enough and so delicious! we got truffle and white with custard filling. I highly recommend! Absolutely loved it! Also it was very affordable!

  • Scott S.

Went there for breakfast and very tasty. The fried egg sandwiches were like Panera on the mainland only much fresher and better taste. Tons of pastries early in the morning. They all looked great, tried large cream horn and it was fantastic. Like a light and tasty canoli. Would highly recommend getting breakfast here if you're on the Kahului side.

This is probably an unfair review since I've only had the cream horn but it was SO AMAZING, this place deserves the five stars!

  • Ruth T.

It was my first time here. I had the pastrami on rye sandwich which came with a side Caesars salad. The bread was so good, along with the salad greens. Had the creme brûlée for dessert. Probably one of the very best I've ever had! Will definitely have to return to try their other sandwiches and offerings.

Our last day at Maui, we dropped in for breakfast, the lady at the counter is so friendly and welcoming. tried the Hapa Boy and Local Boy between me and my husband, very large portions and we are very hungry, finished both, yum.. take out the coconut cream pie - oh , we should have brought more than 1, it is so yummy the cream horn, I am not so crazy about, it is too sweet. overall, good spot for lunch and snacks.

  • McKenzie B.

So.... Not sure why this place has such good reviews. I will say the chicken salad sandwich on homemade bread was pretty good. That's the two stars. But the mini cream horn and coconut cream pie were very sub par. The lady at the counter was helpful and nice but it was pretty disappointing in general. I don't find myself in Wailuku very often but I probably wouldn't come back.

Stillwell's Bakery & Cafe should be on every single visitor's agenda. Why? Well, because the Cream Horns are finger-lickin' great! There's a reason why I don't live on Maui.. And it's for health reasons. It's definitely not bc my whole family lives on Oahu, or funds, or school, or for any other reason, obviously... If I lived on Maui, I'd be 300lbs and working at Stillwell's to support my hardcore love and addiction to their delectable Cream Horns. Well, you get my point. I love the Cream Horns. I've actually turned my whole family on to these sinful pastries. Who needs Krispy Kreme?! Krispy what???! Now when we visit, my family will be bringing back the load of Cream Horns instead of lame doughnuts, which we could easily buy from Sam's Club on Oahu. Anyway, the Cream Horns aren't the only worthwhile desserts. I've also had the pleasure of trying the Pecan Butter Balls, which are fantabulous BTW. And the creme brulee. Yum. Lunch at Stillwell's is next on my hit list. ;)

This is a must stop if you happen to be in this area of the island. I make it a point to stop by and get some goodies as well as have a tasty lunch after hiking in the Iao Valley or other areas on this side of the island. The service is friendly and helpful, which is always welcomed whenever I am on the island. I have had everything from sandwiches, to salads, sweets, and even ordered a birthday cake at one point. Nothing disappointed, and it never does.

My husband is a funny guy. We'd planned to be on Maui this past August for a much needed R&R and also so that his Mom can spend time with her only grandson! Prior to our trip, my husband had asked me not once but a couple times if I have heard or know of this place..."Stillwell's"? I tell him "No" every time he asks and he's the one who's lived on Maui (shakes my head) So we're finally on Maui, he remembers he needs to either call or stop by the bakery to put in his order of cream horns to bring back as omiyage (Japanese word for gift/souvenir) for his co-workers. It was them whom had told him about the bakery in the first place and the cream horns are a must. We both ordered a dozen regular and mini cream horns each as omiyage and another half dozen to try on our own. They were finger-lickin' delicious ^__^ So now we know this place is famous for its cream horns and is well deserved! 9 of 31 Yelp 31 Day Challenge

The pies are super fantastic we also had chinese salad and chickwn sandwich. The salad was not tossed with dressing and when I asked if they would toss it they said no. So I asked for a bigger plate so I could toss myself they wanted to charge me extra.. ( Go have pie and maybe a quick sandwich but dont expect real lunch at a bakery, as I should have known!

Very tasty breakfast, and very friendly staff. This isn't a "restaurant" as much as a cafe. Outdoor seating was great for breakfast, pancakes were awesome, and the spam sandwich was spamtastic!

  • Mika M.

Saw great reviews on Yelp for Stillwell's. Great casual place for a sandwich and a dessert. I don't usually eat desserts (grew up as a bakers daughter) but tried the creamed horn with chocolate. OMG delicious! The staff was nice! I had the chicken salad sandwich on wheat. The bread itself is a meal, so fresh! Loved the sandwich!

Food is yummy but overpriced. And I have to agree with comment below, I have observed and personally experienced the rudeness of the owner. It's enough to make me not want to eat there.

Since 1999 when I was a Maui resident, Stillwell's has been my favorite go-to eatery. Every menu item I've tried so far has been a winner- from their scrumptious and flaky banana cream pie to their onolicious crabcake sandwich. We always buy their homemade dressings as gifts for our mainland family and guests. Today I was treated by my husband when he brought back to Oahu- freshly baked macoco rolls and mini cream horns. As Pharrell sang it "Because I'm happy"....

  • Eric M.

Great bacon here! Thick sliced and nicely browned. Portuguese sausage similarly great. Eggs and fried rice nothing special except the rice scoops are giant-sized. Dry noodles were very good but 1/2 as much as Sam Sato's for about the same price. But too much at Sam Sato's anyway (double really does feed two) so would prefer Stillwell's unless I'm starving. Too full to try some pastries - too bad but at the same time, the baked goods are awfully pricey. Would expect this kind of pricing in Lahaina but in Wailuku?

  • Christina W.

Y.U.M. I got a club sandwich here for lunch and loved it. It's big enough to share and comes with chips too! The menu has a lot to offer, too - local style breakfast & sandwich lunches! My only complaint is the price of the sandwiches! $9-$11 is a little much! BUT loved it and would return.

    (4)
  • Quinn S.

A $10 sandwich better be a darn good sandwich. It was ok, thus the 3 stars. The bread was fresh (they ran out of focaccia - boo!) and the sandwich with roast beef, lettuce, and tomato was quite light and refreshing. Nothing special and definitely not worth $10. The staff was super nice though. Since I went because of good reviews on the food and baked goods - mainly the cream horn - I had to try it. When I first cut into it, it was hard, and thought it would be another disappointment. BUT, after biting into the cream horn, I found it to be light and flaky and not too sweet! Perfect for me, since I am not in love with anything sweet. I would go back for the baked goodies.

I will book a trip back to Maui just to eat at Stillwell's! We recently got married in Olowalu and our wedding coordinator recommended Stillwell's for our wedding cake. We had a tasting and fell in love with so many of their cake options but ended up choosing their 50/50. After our tasting, we decided to trust our coordinator with all other recommendations she made - this one was so amazing. All of our guests raved about our cake- how light and moist it tasted, not to mention how absolutely elegant and romantic it looked! I had a general idea of how I wanted it to be presented - minimal with cascading flowers, but the team at Stillwell's blew us away with their combination of artistic design and commitment to flavor! I only wish they delivered to the mainland!

aaa-ok... we only had the cream horn. it's def something i never had before... kinda like a long jon with crispier outside coating. Def worth trying, but prob not going back.

I've only been here twice. I usually order the tuna melt. So far, I've had no problems with this place. But their desserts are so expensive! I paid $5 for a really small piece of cheesecake. It wasn't that great all either. Wish their prices weren't so high, then I'd eat here more often.

They're known for their chocolate horns with custard inside. It's good, but not to die for.

I fell in love with Maui's chill and country like vibe but this place made me fall in love all over again...... with my sweet tooth. I think this island made me spread my wing and venture to sweet tooth island once again. My boyfriend and I was staying at the Maui Beach hotel for our weekend vacation and since I yelped places to visit and found this place to have the best sweets, why not?! It was only a few minutes away from the hotel, right on the road, it cannot not be missed (just pay attention to the sign on your right side coming from the hotel). Went here just to get their large chocolate cream horns and WAHHHHH SO DELICIOUS! We wanted to grab a dozen the day we were leaving for home but they were closed on a SUNDAY! The rest of my day was a pissy mood (and I am not joking here). There is nothing much to say but oh the delicious smell when you walk in early in the morning, grabbing horns, and eating it at the beach or on your way there on a sunny Maui day.

My favorite place for a salad and the BEST place for a cream horn. It's just solo pricey. I could eat their Chinese chicken salad everyday. Their soups are flavorful, portions are huge. No complaints about the bakery desserts.

  • Regina N.

Pastries are to die for! Sticky bun is my absolute fave! Also love the bread pudding with chunks of custard within.. nom nom nom! Their shrimp and crab salad is really tasty as well as their crab cake sandwich! Still have yet to try the other selections on their menu!

We had the Hapa Boy and Local Boy our first morning on Maui during our honeymoon. As mainlanders we wanted to find something authentic, not touristy. On the last day, before going to the airport, we returned and the wonderful lady behind the counter remembered us from a week earlier. This has a relaxed unpretentious hometown vibe that makes you feel welcomed. I hope they never change anything about the place. We will make a point of stopping here again whenever we return to Maui.

AMAZING! I had the best sandwich for breakfast, only $7 and it's huge, with fried egg, bacon and cheese. I also got to take home 2 half dozen mini cream horns for family and friends. Everyone loved it for thanksgiving dessert! Only regret, I should've bought more!!!

My hunt for the best Macadamia Nut Creme pie took me to Stillwells. I would have to say it's the best I had on Maui. What was a hidden find was their Japanese Vinegar & Oil Dressing. As Grandpa Stillwell used too say "It's not too sweet, not too sour, but just right". I made a Seared Ahi salad with this dressing, it's Da Bomb!

This extraordinary bakery has become a destination stop for me whenever I visit Maui. The food menu has been expanded to include breakfast served from 7am. Lunch is now available from 10am-5pm. The sandwiches, noodles, etc. are OK, but if you don't come here for the wonderful cookies and pastries, you are really missing something. This is what they do best. Mr. Stillwell told me that he could make his pastries 3X better if customers would only support the higher cost, but I assured him that they are great just the way they are. Try the Chocolate Decadence torte, eclairs, napoleons, bread pudding, cream horns, fruit tarts, and the amazing cream pies. Buy a bag of coconut-macadamia cookies for later, and, if you are preparing breakfast or lunch at your condo, you'll want a big bag of macoco rolls, too.

This place is a hidden gem. Best breakfast I had in Maui, which is saying a lot for a sandwich. Bacon egg and tomato w/ a side of sausage. I cant speak for anything else as that is what I had both time we went, but everyone else enjoyed their eggs, pancakes, coffee, bacon, etc etc. The super nice ladies at the front made the place even better, especially considering we were there right at opening. We'll definitely be back here whenever in Maui.

Super friendly owner lady took our order. I got the pumpkin muffin (moist and tasty) and tea and hubby got the breakfast plate (great hash browns). We shared a banana cream pie (ok). Good place to stop by after you watch the sunrise near the volcano.

While Wailuku is not known as a culinary hotspot on Maui, it does boast some of the best bakeries on island: Maui Bake Shop, 4 Sisters, Patticakes, Home Maid, and my favorite of them all: Stillwell's. Stillwell's is a local institution, and one of my go-to places for lunch (I eat there at least once a week). You can't really go wrong with anything on their menu: their sandwiches are all made with the freshest ingredients, served on their fresh-baked bread, and come with a choice of chips or caesar salad. They also have a soup/salad combo, which is awesome for those rainy days. My favorites are the reuben, served on the fluffiest rye bread you've ever eaten, and the French dip (Thursdays only), which is so mouthwateringly good I dream about it all night on Wednesdays. :) The Chinese chicken salad is also winnahs. And let's not forget the desserts - I hardly even need to mention them based on the reviews already written, but I'll throw my hat in the ring. The cream horns are as good and decadent as advertised - buy a couple extra because you'll want to eat one later. They sell them frozen as well so if you're flying to Oahu you can take a box to your aunties and uncles. The cream pies - coconut, mac nut, banana, are unbelievably good as well. They line the inside of the pie crust with chocolate, which I think is the secret to why you can't stop eating them! All in all, I can't say enough good things about this place, just go and see for yourself!

  • Ciara R.

This place is where I go for a nice light lunch AND then dessert directly afterward. I love the fresh bread: 9 grain and foccasia is my favorite, but my mom loves the croissants. Their macadamia nut rolls that come with the soup is also great. Talking about soup...I love their corn chowder. If I want a "light" lunch I get that and then my dessert on the side. My favorite pastries are the chocolate decadence (like a flourless torte - sooo moist and delicious). I also love the mousse cup (Such a big size). I also cheer for the caramel slice ( though it's hard to eat), the cream horns (what they are famous for), and their pies and cakes. I'm a dessert person and I love the select of goodies they have. It a go to for whenever I'm home on Maui.

Second time here for lunch on my business trip to Maui. I was here on Thursday - fortunate that they had the French Dip! Excellert! The roast beef was very tender and the bread was fresh. And of course, there is the cream horns that I HAVE to bring back to Oahu for my family... That was the mistake I made at first - I brought back some for the family, now everytime they expect it.

Delicious, fresh and friendly. We've known about Stillwell's for years, but never been until yesterday. Shame on us! We wanted lunch and were in Wailuku. We popped in and immediately decided on the veggie dry mein and chow fun. Then we started looking at the beautiful case of baked goods. Oh my! As our eyes traveled from one delicacy to the next we quietly oo'ed and ah'ed. We decided to share one tiramisu for morning coffee this morning. We took our lunch and parked oceanside to watch the stormy waves and distant wind surfers. First bite was No Ka Oi! Noodles were cooked to perfection, sauce was light and tasty and veggies were very fresh. We ate the whole dish. Yum! Both agree Stillwell's deserves all its high praises and no wonder it's a local favorite. It is now on our radar and we can't wait to go back.

Good sandwiches! My husband got a crab cake sandwich on a torpedo roll and I got a roasted turkey on a torpedo roll and they were both delicious. I would have like more meat on my turkey but all and all good food. Didnt try the pastries (don't really like sweets) but they looked amazing!

Stillwells is a MUST while in Maui. I LOVE the mini creme horns. The older women that work there are not warm n fuzzy and they dont ever smile but K sera sera. The young local girl is very friendly and helpful. The last time I was there I tried the Florentine Cup which ia s Strawberry Tart, OMG! It was the BOMB! We'll be back soon.

I heard something about their shortcake from a cousin and decided to check it out on yelp. BEST CHOICE EVER!!! Anything with a crust is amazing here. They do crunchy tasty crusts on anything from pies to cheesecakes. My current addiction is their mini cream horns. The larger cream horns are still delicious but the mini has the right balance of chocolate dipped ends that is just perfection. When I'm not trying one of their desserts their sandwhiches on homemade bread, fluffy pancakes and their chinese chicken salad haunt my dreams. Seriously this place is addicting. In one week and a few days I have the pleasure of tasting their chocolate cake at my wedding. What's better the wedding or the wedding cake?? I'll let you know!

  • Dorian T.

Deserts are to die for. You know you want to try ALL of them lol. Sandwiches are sooo good. The focaccia bread is great (recommend with chicken salad sandwich), but I get the "torpedo" roll for texture. Skip the chips and get the caesar salad. Fresh brewed iced tea has a tropical flavor to it. Don't even need sugar. Best on island! As for the complaint below about the rude Chef, that's Roy...the owner. He's just a straight to the point guy. I personally think he is very nice and doesn't mess around. I mean heck, he runs the best bakery in Maui! If you want a wedding cake....YUP! Stillwell's makes THE BEST lilikoi mousse cake. He should be charging at least double what he does. Between the caterer I knew, and the weddings I put together...never once had a complaint. It's delectable!

Love this place. Easily the best bakery on Maui. The creme horns are amazing. They also have a great lunch menu too. Small dining area inside as well as nice lanai seating area outside as well.

Stillwells has great service, nice people, and great food! Totally a local vibe not touristy at all. Staff greeted customers by name and were so warm and inviting. I had the grilled egg sandwich with spam and my husband had the local boy, both were amazing. Best kept secret in Maui!

I have mixed feelings about this place, so it is with some hesitation that I give them a four. We purchased some sandwiches to take on the plane, and I hate to say it, but they weren't great. Although, the muffins were fantastic! I was also a little annoyed that I wasn't allowed to swap the chips that came with the sandwich. The ones that come with it are regular Lay's potato chips, something I have no desire to eat. I wanted to get the baked Lay's instead, but the woman told me she would charge me another two bucks for it. Ridiculous! My husband and I both threw away the the entire bags of chips that came alongside our sandwiches. Kind of annoying, and a waste of food and money. I would return for their baked goods, but I think I'd skip their sandwiches next time.

Location: plenty of parking Atmosphere: well-lit, clean and air-conditioned. Service: very pleasant Food: Veggie sandwich was pretty good, and the caesar salad was of standard taste. Cream horns were really good, powdered sugar makes it pretty messy. Price was medium...

Lunch, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah. Soups, salads and sandwiches, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah. Dessert! Okay, now we're talking! Famous for their cream horns which are layers of flaky dough made with a "tunnel" in the middle to fill with cool, rich pastry cream. Dip one end in chocolate and it's a winner! I also tried this caramel chocolate square (it intrigued me because it was over $4 a piece). It is like almond roca on steroids. The bottom is like a softer almond roca candy with chcolate cream, whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top. Definitely decadent and huge, so I was willing to share. Also tried the apple tart, which was very good and pretty (see pic), and what made it special is an almond paste between the pastry shell and the sliced and carmelized apples. Awesome. Forget Krispy Kremes (well, maybe I shouldn't be so hasty), when you go to Maui, bring me back Stillwell Bakery delicacies!

    (4)
  • Chad Y.

Holy sweet mother of goodness...Family friends brought back some of their famous cream horns and the only words that come to mind to describe them are "delicious," "delectable" "mouth-watering" "tongue-salivating" "ONO!" Wow...I have to fly to Maui just to get them...Skip the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, they are played out...Bring Stillwell's bakery items back for me any day!

After seeing the review about the Chinese Chicken salad being "the stuff of legends", I drove right up to Stillwell's to get me one. The lettuce is just the kind you get out of a bag (you know, the kind with shredded carrots, purple cabbage, etc)...the chicken was awful and i could not eat it. I do have to give them credit for the dressing though. I can't deny that the dressing was delicious....overall for the price though, not worth it. This place has REALLY good desserts and that's why they get 4 stars!

    (4)
  • Stephanie W.

I had lunch here once and it was the best Chinese Chicken Salad I had ever had. And to my pleasure they sell their dressing by the bottle - woohoo! I stock up whenever I'm in town and use it to recreate the salad deliciousness at home. I think what Stillwell's is really known for are their pastries. And as well they should be - their creamed horns, canolis and lemon tarts are amazing! I haven't tried anything that hasn't knocked my socks off. There's not a lot of seating and this place gets packed at lunchtime. Be prepared for a short wait to place your order and get your grub. There's a private lot and parking is a snap.

3 times in one day! Yes, I went to Stillwell's 3 times in one day! First to get a mini creme horn, just as a snack, it was amazing! Then my friend and I went back to pre-pay for a Mac Nut pie to take back to Oahu, and lastly when we picked up the pie I got a dozen rolls! Everything was delish! Excited to go back and try the sandwiches. They do nickel and dime you for a lot of things...butter, take out containers, etc. But I dont think it's a big deal, a lot of places do that, and they have to watch costs. Plus it was like a quarter or five cents for the extras we asked for.

The chinese chicken salad was great and the coconut macadamia cookie I had literally made me a cookie fiend. I will endlessly be on a quest to find another cookie as good here in Seattle. The women working here are what truly made my experience at Stillwell's amazing. They were so sweet in helping me to locate a beach nearby where I could eat my wonderful lunch while enjoying the Maui water and sun. Very kind people and lovely food.

I was in the mood for a fresh salad. Lucky we came here. Eating on location guarantees you a lovely larger salad than the take out container affords. It's huge! I ordered a half garden salad with a half tofu salad on top. My sister had the half Chinese chicken salad. Delish!

CREAM HORNS!!! Thats all I would bring back to Oahu from Maui. And you know what? I'm not the only one. The mayor of Maui, Alan Arakawa, was on our same flight, and yes, he is a real person as he sat in the coach section. And the thing he was bringing to Oahu was CREAM HORNS!!!

    (5)
  • Cory M.

Their sandwiches are okay though so I had to knock them down a star for that. But if you've got to try their cream horns. It's a puff pastry filled with cream and dipped in chocolate. They are winnahs! When on Maui, gotta do 2 things, get Guri Guri & Stillwell's cream horns!

Thank you Yelpers, I had asked where in Maui to buy our Birthday cakes for our 40th b-days when we visited Maui this December. Wow what a great place, a great old school bakery with excellent recipes well prepared. We went with the passion fruit mouse cake for my wife's birthday cake.....oh god so good, light mouse inside a white cake with passionfruit jelly on top and crushed mac nuts on the outside. I picked out the coconut cream pie for my birthday "cake"..... if I ever eat another pie that tastes that good I will be amazed. It was heaven on earth. We were all so astounded how so very good it was. The cake was very good too but that pie.......WOW! Since it was Christmas time and I was in a delicious bakery we got some tasty christmas cookies and a couple mini eclairs for the boys who took the drive up to the bakery with me. This bakery is now a must for every visit to Maui for us! Thank you YELP!

Omg this has to be one of the best kept secret bakeries on Maui. The food that they make here is out of this world and the portions are generous. If you go for desert try the creme horns, neopolitans, creme brûlée or even the fudge brownie.

Found this place on Yelp & stopped in for lunch with the kids. Husband had the mein w/ham. I had a turkey & swiss on a torpedo roll with a side salad. Kids split a turkey sandwich. Turkey was fresh roasted and both white & dark meat. Bread was delicious & fresh. Went back in for dessert, split a large cream horn with the husband, it was good but not really my thing. Two things that bugged me #1 the man who took our order (owner?) was a little off putting, could have been nicer. Also, they should ditch the styrofoam.

watch out, they want a dime extra for the butter to go with the roll they just sold you. Avoid this place. I should have seen the sign telling you that refills on sodas are 52 cents, not 50 cents. Anyone watching the pennies that much is cheap.

everything is made fresh from stillwell's. you can taste the freshness in everything from the bread to the veggies in the sandwiches. don't know what you want? no problem, the staff here is patient and will recommend things that are hot sellers. they will go out of the way to get the things you want for you too. the freshness will cost you though, average price for just a sandwich is about $10. one last thing, if you want anything hot from there, go early! they shut their grill off a couple hours before they close.

This is a fabulous place for lunch, lots of sandwiches and salads. The very popular chinese chicken salad is a must and my fav. bread pudding oh so yummy. And I'm not easy to please when it comes to bread pudding so two thumbs up. Not a whole lot of parking spaces but you may also call in your order for pick up.

The all time love of my life. A staple when I go back to the islands, I think I ate here for 3 days straight once. Their deli food is amazing. The Chinese Chicken Salad is the stuff of legends and I always make my mom send me bottles of the dressing. Other delicious items are their crab cakes and somen salad. The deserts are some of the best on the island, and even school a lot of the stuff I've tried in LA. I can't get enough of the bread pudding or carmel chocolate tart thing. Don't even get me started on their banana cream pie. Great, now I'm hungry :)

Mainly, we ordered sandwiches. I had a completely classic Cobb Salad -- where does that name come from anyway? It was just what I wanted. Other people's choices: Crabcake sandwich -- good. Quiche -- good (it was listed in the dessert menu). Creme brulee -- really really good. Mac nut pie -- super. Bread pudding -- well, I just don't understand why anyone likes bread pudding, so don't ask me. Mac nut cookies -- good and crunchy. Prices and service -- all good. Freshness -- terrific. Overall: worth eating there.

Had to stop in as part of our island bakery tour. I had been hearing on the radio about this amazing "cream corn" dessert and thought "That's stupid. Who the heck wants to eat cream corn for dessert?!" Turns out my hearing is bad. It was cream horn and omigosh these little gems are delicious. Got the one dipped on one end with chocolate. Decided to split one but ended up buying half a dozen more for the trip back to Makena. Also had the Napoleon. I know, I know, you can get Napoleons everywhere but this one just seemed extra delicious.

A friend recommended the cream horn, ended up eating lunch. Sandwich, salad and soup. Nice cozy place, tuna melt was super good. I went there on the recommendation of a Maui friend to have the creamed horn. Let me tell you, the creamed horn is no ka oi! Gotta get some to take home to Honolulu.

Always love looking for a good bakery on vacation, and think I found the best one on Maui. 7 of us stopped in before heading up to Iao National Park. We sampled a little bit of everything. The muffins were so outstandingly fresh we bought more to take with. The pancakes were generous and very good. But the best thing I ate there was the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It was delicious! The eggs were prepared perfectly and had melty cheese, but the bread was still the best part. Everything baked fresh that morning. The ladies working behind the counter were very friendly and helpful.

This bakery was recommended to us by some friends. Cream horns were recommend, and they were good. We just came back from hiking in the Waihee Plantation, and wanted lunch. Along with the baked items, they have sandwiches, salads, chow fun, dry mein, and soup. We saw a lot lunch crowd from nearby county offices and hospital. Sign of consistent and good food. Had a club sandwich made with their wheat bread. Bread was slightly sweet, and the sandwich hit the spot. Wife had a half-sized Chinese chicken salad, and we ordered dry mein for the young one. She did well with the dry mein until she saw the chocolate mousse in the display. She had to have it and Dad was obligated to sample it. Very chocolate-ty, yet not too sweet. Another good place to pick up some baked goods when you land in Kahului.

I come here everytime after a workout, i don't know why but it's something I crave for, i guess. I usually order a salad or a sandwich just so i don't feel like a fatty after the gym. BUT i do order a pastry also. Every pastry I tried is AMAZING.. I always feel the need to drive back for another pastry or two but i dont! the place is small so if you want to sit in and eat, good luck. I always do take out and eat at home. I'm never dissapointed when coming to Stillwell's. I read other reviews about the customer service not being that great and I agree. They're nice but not THAT nice.

OK, I admit it. Their cream horn is pretty dam good. As far as their lunch goes, try their chinese chicken salad, chowfun, dry min noodle, crab cake sandwich, and fried rice. Those items are highly recommended. I would give this place 5 stars if cashier ladies were little more friendly. What ever happen to island love???

This place is awesome. The chocolate mousse was delicious. We bought a big box of pastries and everything was absolutely divine (macademia pie, coconut pie, banana pie, chocolate/caramel pastry, creme horns, etc).
