We both got kids penne with marinara sauce on the side. Wesley: the penne was delicious! Catherine: the penne was very good and the bread was also very good. I think kids like it here because they have good activity pages for children.

The atmosphere of Fabianis is great. No live music, but a soft and quiet tone and really nice people. My family and I thought that the location of this restaurant was a different restaurant. We were lazy to drive to the restaurant we actually wanted to go to so we just decided to stick with it. We entered the room and all of the tables and chairs were right there. The place wasn't too crowds but just perfect. Our waiter, Peter was very nice and generous. He seated us to our table with a lovely attitude. Now we had to order. My father ordered the pasta with clam sauce which turned out super dry so he sent it back and ordered the gateway pizza instead which turned out to be absolutely amazing! I also ordered the Hawaiian classical pizza which was also really good. My brother ordered plain meatballs which also turned out really good. My mother ordered the lasagna which turned out okay. The overall dinner was good. Not amazing and not horrible. The dry pasta let it down. So if you want to eat here, just order the pizza or calzone.

Tasty food all around ... Everyone at our table was pleased with their dinner. Servers and host were super friendly and attentive. Tucked away in a mini-mall, but great food and atmosphere. Recommended!

I don't know if everything just tastes better in Hawaii but tonight's dinner was great! A little under $20 per plate of pasta but the portions are HUGE and the flavors are delicious! My husband got the lasagna and I got Lorenzo's rigatoni and we got the French bread as a side which was the best I have ever had! Super crunchy on the outside but not to much and soft in the inside with amazing flavors! Deff the perfect place to come for a relaxing night. Very casual and less then a mile away from the Marriott in Walilea.

We had dinner here on our last night in Maui. This is a nice casual Italian restaurant in Wailea. I sat outside and watched the sunset. If you looked towards the ocean you forgot you were in a parking lot basically. We had really good service. There was a young boy who was serving as a bus boy, greeter, etc. He was really friendly. Our waiter was friendly too and he and my mom talked about Vegas where they both lived. I had the chicken piccatta. It was very tasty. Lots of capers. The chicken was a bit tough but it was tasty. Mom had the minestrone soup and garlic bread. She liked the soup but loved the garlic bread. It was on a nice bread, good garlic flavor but not overwhelming. Definitely a great spot for Italian in Wailea. Good neighborhood place.

I very rarely order Eggplant Parmesan at a restaurant because it is usually too heavy because of excess cheese, tomato sauce and oil soaked fried eggplant. I took a risk and ordered it anyway and boy am I glad I did. One of the best eggplant dishes I have ever had. Presentation was as good as the taste. Service was also spot on.

I've always bought their macaroons but this is the first time we dined here. We are definitely coming back again - food and service was on point! We started with the garlic bread and bruschetta - yum! Our entrees were the Chicken Alfredo (we added shrimp for an extra charge of $5 - worth it) - so creamy and delicious; the Osso Bucco and Steak Marsala - meat was so tender and delicious; and Lorenzo's Pizza and build your own pizza (pepperoni, mushrooms, bacon and shrimp) - the best thin crusted pizza we ever had! For dessert we had the 1/2 dozen of the salted caramel macaroons (my favorite) and the Red Velvet and Tiramisu Cheesecake - yummy! Everyone in our party went home with happy tummies!

First full day in Maui and took the long road to Hana and back. We were looking for a quick bite in the Wialea area and read the reviews on Skype. Found this place and to be honest I am not sure why only 4 stars. We had bruschetta, pizza and wine. It was awesome! The service was spot on. Our waiter Vince timed our dinner perfectly and was not intrusive. The food was fresh extremely tasty and very reasonable for Maui. We had the bruschetta, 3 Pizzas(12 inch) and the 4 of us were very satisfied and did not leave hungry. Bill was about $60, my son in law treated. We may end up back there to try another meal but there is so much to do and so little time. Give this place a go, you will not be disappointed.

The service was very friendly and prompt. The food was excellent and a great value. The Spaghetti bolognes was tasty and the pizza delicious. The salads were fresh and presented well.

Dang...this started off as a 2* review but all Truth... The food is BOMB!!! Enough said! Had the 4cheese ravioli ( the sauce alone with some bread...mama Mia) we can the caprice salad ( mozzarella was so fresh) and the pizza!!! Wow!!! We built our Own. Pesto, chicken, mushroom, extra EXTRA garlic, prosciutto and sausage...oh my!!! This place hit the spot!

Great local Italian spot in Wailea. Ambience is average, but the food is unpretentious and really tasty, and service is friendly. I highly recommend the pizzas especially the Wailea with Brie and shrimp. The chopped salad is really good, and the lasagne was to die for. Great for kids too. Great casual vacation choice!

  • Kristen L.

Solid 3.5 stars. The food is 4 stars and service, atmosphere is 3 starts. Our favorites have been the lasagna, veal shank, and made fresh daily minestrone soup. All were very flavorful. The lasagna is unique because it has this juicy, tender pork roast in it in addition the the sausage. It's backed to order in a large bowl. If you want to share it, add two-three meatballs to it. They offer free focaccia bread, but we had to ask for it twice before our server brought it out. They had the menu wrong on their beer prices, shown as $6 but actually $8-9. So if it matters to you, best to ask before ordering. This is a more casual place, one room with many tables. It can get fairly loud when crowded. It's not a romantic or intimate setting. This is a solid lunch or dinner option, especially if the other places are full. Try the Kihei location that has great sandwiches on their menu.

First time here and we really enjoyed it. We had the four cheese ravioli, child's penne pasta and the calzone. Quick, attentive service and great food.

I came here with my family on a day that was not busy at all, half the place was empty. We were told that we could not dine unless we made a reservation. So we made one for the next day. We came in to see that nobody was there. We simply asked for a table for 4 without reservation and were seated. The servers were kind, which is the only reason I wouldn't give this place a one star review. I ordered the Four Cheese Ravioli and expected a filling plate for such a high price. I ended up receiving a plate of 5 pieces of pasta, which didn't taste that bad, but not so great. It was also topped with a bunch of dry greens which I left on the side. I left the restaurant hungry after paying a large bill. I would not come here again.

This place has been unbelievably overrated on previous reviews!! Got some food to go after a long day of scuba diving. The chopped salad (for $12) was simply pathetic. As for the pizza, I think I actually said, "Well, it's not the WORST pizza I've ever had." Not great. After paying $30 for a bad 12-inch pizza and a few bites of lettuce, we actually contemplated getting room service in our hotel room. Won't be coming back here any time soon.

  • Jeremy M.

Really good pizza and service here. Started with the Risotto Balls which were really well done. The Hawaiian Pizza was great as was the Makena Meat. My daughter's Margarita Pizza was good - she likes light sauce and they did that perfectly. Overall a good meal.

Definitely worth the walk up the hill from The Marriott Wailea! Had the Ono sandwich and side salad. Finally a place in Hawaii that gives you a hearty piece of fish. The sauce was tasty and the macadamia nuts in the salad were yummy! I'll be back, as I come for work and don't like to spend vacation prices on marginal food like you find down at the Wailea Shops!

We've done pretty well with finding decent Italian food on Maui, but this one is definitely one of the better places we've come across. I had the Fabiani's pizza (all pizza should have brie on it, right?) and my fianceé had the pasta carbonara, both were very delicious and exactly what we were looking for. We'd definitely recommend this place to folks in Wailea.

Just ok. Pizza was middle of the road. Spaghetti and meatballs was just ok. Not bad, but not impressive.

This place was such a great find!! We ate here twice in the week we were there. We stumbled upon it because it was close to our hotel (Marriott) and our first choice had too long of a wait. We were so glad to have found it. The host and waitress were both very friendly and the food was excellent. I wish I could say we tried new things but both times we ended up getting lasagna and chicken parm. We started with garlic bread and the kids got pizza and pasta. Prices are so reasonable for the portions.

Great pizza and coffee! They have a small assortment of pastries also. Great for kids! Went for lunch and afternoon coffee

My wife and I just ate at Fabianis! Just walked in wasn't too crowded. The staff was very attentive and they set up a nice table for us outside so we can see the sunset. We started with a Caesar which was very good. We shared a margarita pizza and the ravioli in vodka sauce both were excellent. The vodka Rosa sauce was sooooo good. We then had their red velvet cake and lilikoi special dessert both we amazing. We never had lilikoi but glad we tried it. The red velvet cake was the best we ever had. All in all the staff was very attentive and friendly and the food was awesome. Would love to go back if we have another chance before we head home!

We have eaten here three times on our recent Maui vacation. We have two kids with us, 6 and 18 months. The food was excellent and a good value. The Hawaiian pizza was best we had in Maui. The salads are great and a great selection of pastas. The service was fantastic and very accommodating with the two kids.

Only challenge being in Maui I found was finding vegetarian choices on the Menus. There has been good & not good choices we made. However, Fabiani's disappointed on none of the four items we ordered. Veggie Lasagna & Caprese Verdure Panini were the best. The view is great and in a nice location. Service was awesome, our server Trevor is one happy, friendly & helpful host. Will visit once again before heading back home.

  • Kevin H.

Ok. We were looking for a place for a quick bite mid day. Brandi and I shared the Caprese salad. It was good not great. The pizza was awesome but our waitress dropped half of it. She made up for it by buying our pizza for us. Service was good but it's always good when the restaurant handles the mishaps well!! Nice job. Good price. And the pizza is very good!

Appetizers, four different entrees, desserts and all of us loved everything we tried. We later went back a second time and the food was still amazing. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. Great place to eat!

It's so nice to find simple, fresh authentic italian cuisine in Wailea. No pretension, just happy people making happy food. Awesome bartender and our server, Magna, helped us pick the perfect choices from the menu. Plus, she knows how to whip up a mean affogato. We couldn't be more pleased with this place.

Very nice Italian style restaurant. beautiful and very friendly waitresses. delicious food (we had soup, pizza and salad) and Italian style espresso as a finish. best food experience we had in Maui so far

  • Jill S.

My mom and aunt liked the linguini and clams. I felt like it needed more garlic and salt. We also had the meat lasagna. The sauce was flavorful but it was too cheesy. For dessert we had coconut haystack which was very tasty.

Pro-the red velvet cake was to die for. Had the perfect sweetness without being too over powerful. Cons- we had ordered to go and only my order was ready yet we were told everything was in the bag. Luckily we checked before we left and in fact found two dishes (crab cakes and ravioli) missing. The chef insisted it was in the bag but it was not. When we reached our hotel I discovered that the vege lasagna I had ordered was in fact a meat lasagna. It would have been fine if I had ordered a meat version and if I liked pork but that was not the case. I had to drive back to the restaurant for my correct order. Bottom line is I would not do take out from here but will definitely recommended their red velvet cake.

Stopped by here yesterday after checking out reviews for places in the area, and we were not disappointed. Great service, excellent food, and very reasonable prices. We ordered three different pasta dishes and a flat crust pizza. The portions were all generous, and we were given complimentary rosemary foccacia bread as to start. I found the pizza exceptionally good, and it was a 12", so there was enough to share. We finished off with a homemade ice cream sandwich - two huge house-made chocolate crinkle cookies with homemade ice cream. It was delicious and worth going back for by itself. Total bill came in at under $100 after tip for four people, with a few sodas and a mai tai as well.

  • Lupe R.

Nice little spot. I ordered the four cheese ravioli which had the best sauce. The only objection I had for the ravioli was that the cheese was completely melted, my preference would be when the cheese is still crumbled in the pasta. For dessert we ordered the red velvet cake and it was amazing! It was covered in chocolate on the outside and filled with cream. Very good!!

  • Emily V.

The food was amazing. I got the house salad and the vanilla bean and lilikoi dressing was terrific. The fresh bread they serve was the favorite at my table. The waiter was very friendly and honest about what food was good and what food wasn't. My friend got the fettuccine Alfredo and loved that too!

Had an overall good experience tonight. We were seated quickly as per our Open Table reservation. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy. Server was pleasant and so apologetic when one of our dishes took much longer than the others after an already pretty long wait. After explaining the issue and taking care of us we decided that based on her attitude alone we will be returning multiple times on our vacation. The food was really good, atmosphere was great.

A little over zealous with their constant coming to see how everything is, but other than that, excellent. We had the kula pizza, which featured eggplant and zucchini. Crust and sauce was excellent. Good beer on draft. My personal favorite though was their signature Lemon Drop. Tuaca lemondrops are one of my favorite cocktails and I thought it was decently priced as well at $9. Sit at the little bar during Happy Hour and get 1/2 off your pizza. Uh. Yes.

  • gary g.

Um well, this place ok at best. Gluten free pizza was bad, I ordered bolognese, which was OK, as were the Alfredo and chopped salad. Service was very poor, they just kind of ignored us as much as possible.

    (3)
  • David H.

This place definitely seems overrated, not sure how it gets 4 stars. We had pretty good service, waited a while for cocktails that were both made poorly but our food came out quickly. Had the crab cakes which were good, not great, and the Osso Bucco (made with lamb, not veal). It was tender but not extremely flavorful, risotto was okay, veggies were excellent. My wife had the spaghetti and wasn't a fan, her cosmo was good after they remade it. The kids dishes were okay but both made with penne and they'd have preferred a different pasta. I don't think I'll come back.

I have NEVER had a bad meal or bad service here! Open for breakfast from 8 a.m., a good choice if you want something different, not to mention DELICIOUS!!! Again, the Italian loco moco is a must try. Not what you're thinking, if you think you'll get rice, hamburger patty(s), eggs and gravy. You'll get eggs, served with a red meat sauce and little pasta bits. They actually remind me of little cottage cheese bits, but more delicious! I had the bacon and eggs with potatoes, and MAN! I know it sounds simple, but you have to try this to believe it! No exaggeration, but this was the best fricking bacon I've ever eaten! It was tasty, like bacon should be, but it was the way it was cooked! Crispy when you bite it and it melted in my mouth! I almost orgasmed because it was so damn good! The pan fried potatoes were also unreal! the chef is an artist, no doubt! And then...let me tell you about the cinnamon roll! Okay, if you read my review about Kihei Caffe's cinnamon rolls, you would see how much I love them. When I tried Fabiani's cinnamon roll, oooohhhhh, aaaahhhhh (toes curling, eyes rolling and butt cheeks clenching) D--A--M--NNNNNNNNNN unh!!! Better (you heard right!) than Kihei Caffe's unreal delicious cinnamon rolls! The bacon and eggs dish is not on the menu, so ask your server. Oh yeah, the other, original, Fabiani's on Lipoa Street will also begin serving breakfast beginning Monday, June 9th. From what I heard, similar menu as Wailea's restaurant, but a little more choices. BACCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOONNNN!

These reviews are over rated. I live in Dallas so we are fat and each out on average 4 times a week. I know what good food is. This place is OK. Not great. Not bad. Sorry excuse for Chicken Picata.

  • Luke G.

Not bad. My wife tried to order yogurt, we were told it was off so no items on the menu w/ yogurt were available. Coffee is watery and bitter. Omelette was ok and wife's pancakes looked tasty. Friendly but inexperienced wait staff.

    (3)
  • Heidi N.

Very cozy sitting outside for the sunset. The cheese ravioli tasted really good and the fettuccine Alfredo was fair, but could use some more flavor. Great mai thai also. We really liked it here as we were getting fed up with way to big portions at other restaurants, so it was nice getting a great meal without feeling way to stuffed afterwards. Very friendly waitresses. All in all, we had a very nice time here.

  • John G.

Good service and friendly atmosphere. BUT: Bruschetta arrived with nothing on top, instead is served with a side very small bowl of a tomato topping that ran out long before the bruschetta bread. One of our 2 Caesar salads had no dressing. Our entrees, linguini and clam sauce and Fruti del Mar had little flavor. My Fruti del Mar had 3 clams 3 mussels and a tiny calamari. I don't understand it's good Yelp rating. Our kids ate there a few days earlier and didn't like it. Trusting Yelp we tried it. A mistake.

We arrived at Fabiani's with no wait to be seated and were met with young, very friendly staff, very attentive and easy to talk to. We started with sangria; very fruity and light. My husband ordered the four cheese Ravioli with a tomato based vodka sauce; it was excellent! Highly recommended. Looks creamy but not rich; very flavorful. Our teenage son ordered the vegetable minestrone soup and Hawaiian pizza; both very fresh and good. The pizza crust was ultra light and crisp. I had the grilled Mahi Mahi over vegetable risotto; also good, but I would take the Ravioli over the Mahi Mahi. Risotto was creamy, but not overly so. Ambiance was simple; not fancy. I would take simple surroundings with great food over fancy surroundings with mediocre food any day. I often give high ratings for the restaurants we visit but rarely 5 stars. Try Fabiani's; you will not be disappointed.

  • Teresa H.

Great service and delicious food! They currently don't have their liquor license so it's BYOB but they're very accommodating. We had the bruschetta as an appetizer and I had the Eggplant Napoleon and they were both really good! For desserts we tried the Tiramisu Cheesecake and the Red Velvet cake - both amazing! Nice casual place with plenty of parking. They don't take reservations but we had no problem with getting seated quickly with our party if 6. Will definitely be back soon!

  • Veronica M.

Great ambiance. Friendly staff. We had a waitress who seemed to have a permanent smile. She was very knowledgeable. My husband had the Maui pizza (chicken, onions, pineapple and BBQ sauce) and thought it was ok. Too much pineapple for his taste. I had the chicken parm with rose sauce instead of marinara ( I couldn't decide between chicken parm and penne rosa so this was my compromise). It was pretty good and flavorful. The only thing I would have changed was that the chicken was not crispy and I usually like it that way. Red wine sangrias were too lemon tasting for my taste. Red velvet cake is a must for dessert. Delicious!

Nice little Italian restaurant with reasonable prices (which is hard to find in Wailea!). My wife and I had dinner there during our last trip to Maui. Service and food where both very good. We did not try the bakery items but they looked delicious. Will definitely go back.

I would normally not have high expectations for an Italian Restaurant on a Hawaiian Island in a strip mall, but the Yelp reviews of this place made me think it would be worth a try. We went in with very realistic expectations and somehow they were just too high. The Good: The staff were friendly and nice, and very efficient. Also, the highlight was that the meal was not terribly expensive. The Bad: The Food was unbelievably bad. We started with the Arancini, which tasted like a fresh golf ball that had been dipped in the fryer. We chewed and chewed, trying to get that down, and while we struggled our server dropped off some of their stale bread. There was Olive Oil and Balsamic to rehydrate the bread, but no plate to mix them for dipping. We did our best, and thankfully there was plenty of water and cocktails to help choke it down. The entrees were EVEN WORSE. We had a Real Hawaiian Pizza and the Bolognese, figuring that there was no way that both would be bad. The Bolognese was passable, but tasted like the sauce came from a jar that was found on the scratch and dent shelf at Safeway. Salt would have been a nice idea. Or, perhaps, wave an ACTUAL tomato over the jar after opening? It was bad, but even worse was the Pizza. The Pizza tasted like Chef Boyardee. Worse, the crust tasted like the box that Chef Boyardee comes in...Maybe even the cardboard box that they use to ship the boxes of Chef Boyardee to the market. There wasn't much sauce (not that I'm complaining) but the cheese was like someone cut up the welcome mat. Someone either threw a few cubes of pineapple on top or they painted some styrofoam and called it a day. Maybe we had a bad night, maybe we picked the wrong location to try this generally well-liked restaurant? We couldn't get out of there fast enough. For good pizza, try Flatbread Pizza Company in Pa'ia. For good Italian, get a plane ticket!

It is often hard to come by customer service excellence in the retail and food and beverage business. As I am in commercial real estate I know how important service is to a successful business. While visiting Maui my family (including 3 young children) visited the Wailea location for lunch on Saturday September 13th. My sister had been to the Kihei location and recommended it. I must say I was blown away by the experience from start to finish. We were quickly approached and seated by the hostess. Our server Trevor greeted us and look care of us in every way. He was pleasant and helpful, but also knew the menu and establishment well. He kept us informed along the way and explained things in detail. He was definitely an excellent server. To add to the service our meals were terrific - we had 2 pizzas, an order of pasta and 2 salads along with drinks. I must reiterate how pleased we were with the experience. So much so that I was moved to write to share the favorable experience here as well as with their management. I will definitely be recommending Fabiani's to my friends, family, and colleagues.

Great service and food! Wonderful staff makes you feel welcome! Ana and Mira thank you! The ravioli and chicken piccata were more than we could eat. Fresh bakery on premise.

Ordered a gluten free margherita pizza: it tasted like cardboard to me. I've had great gluten free pizza before and the bottom line is that if you as the chef don't love it, don't serve it, if you haven't found a good gluten free recipe, just to appease people who want gluten free. The waitress was also sniffling and her nose was red -- I didn't ask but was worried that she might have a cold and was serving my food. I thought the service was pretty robotic. Needs improvement.

We arrived right at what I guess was closing time 9pm, but even so they sat us down (he front door was still open). The waiter was very nice, very fast paced but it seemed like that was just his natural demeanor. My hubby and I ordered the garlic bread (4 pieces very nicely made and good portion). Hubby for the entree got the lasagna (which came in a bowl and was good enough for one person, very flavorful, not too strong on the Italian sausage). I ordered the 5 piece cheese ravioli... ( had 5 decent size pieces, def not good for sharing, sauce was very delicious and the cheese was on point). Overall the meal was pretty good, the decor in the place was very nice, and it was casual. The only thing I didn't like was even though it was past closing time, there were still other people in the restaurant besides ourselves that were eating, the staff was OBVIOUSLY closing shop ( counting the register, taking out trash, leaving the back door to the alley open for all to see, causally talking at the bar). Other than that, it was a pretty nice experience and budget friendly ($50 for an appetizer, two entrees, and a coke).

Best pizza in Maui and I've tried a lot. Thin crust with tasty toppings. It's a little pricey but it's well worth it. You could feed 2-3 people from the large. I have not eaten in the restaurant yet but always call ahead and get it to go. They don't deliver which is the only down side.

    (5)
  • Michelle M.

Seriously the most unbelievable Italian in Maui! Never been able to get authentic Italian here before. They hit it out of the park! Pizza, thin crust winner! Crab cakes, unreal! Carbonara, the most perfect aldente ever. Impressive, and I am hard to impress. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Food: 2.5 Ambiance: 2.5 Dessert: 4 Service: 4 I want to give this place a 4 but I really want the food to have more flavor. The service is amazing and the desserts are delicious however I believe the food just lacked flavor. Just a little bit more salt in their preparation would've bumped this place up. The ambiance is also not that exciting; a bit generic and I don't know what the focus is. Are they a cafe? Are they a pizza place? Are they a restaurant? It's disjointed but some people could care less about WHERE they're eating so long as they like WHAT they're eating. I'm going to give them a second chance and go back to try they're pizza. (They have gluten free options.)

If you are staying at any of the resorts or just visiting Wailea and enjoy Italian cuisine then this place is a must! Food - Spaghetti Bolognese, Caprese Salad, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, garlic bread. All delicious and good bang for your buck. Portions are just right. Service - Katie was our server and did a fine job! During our visit, I found it surprisingly difficult to find good food. Hopefully this review helps someone else solve that same dilemma in the future.

Delicious pizza (The Real Hawaiian) and the house salad (the dressing is fantastic) is excellent. We had great service especially from Trevor. Good addition to the Wailea area. Will be back.

Good standard Italian fare in waliea. The fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, spaghetti marinara were good. I just wish the Alfredo sauce had held together instead of separating into grease and dairy/floor mix. The acclaimed cinnamon roll wasn't soft and gooey but then again we got it in the evening. A good alternative to ferraro's crap.

I am in Maui (Wailea) for a week and I found myself coming to Fabiani's 3 times. Food is really really good and tasty. Prices are ok. I just had the pasta Alfredo and it was spectacular . I also tried the pizza and it's really good. Highly recommend!

Just after we sat down, I picked up my napkin on a plate and sitting beneath was a live cock roach yikes! We had to get up and leave :(

Wonderful service from the front of house, our server, and the bar. The food was a great value , super tasty and high quality. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be making this a regular stop in Wailea for happy hour and/or dinner.

Comfortable, attentive service and just edged out for best Maui restaraunt by its neighbor (see review.) Excellent pasta made with care and the desserts were fabulous!

Great food and our server Dustin was awesome! My son ordered the 4 cheese ravioli and asked them to add shrimp and it was amazing! My husband and I shared the baked mahi mahi with risotto and it was delish! On top of that, Dustin really made our night. He was so friendly and attentive. We can't wait to come back!

I thought the food and drinks were mediocre. Pizza was too greasy, drinks weren't fresh at all. We also had macaroons for desserts, they were good but Nothing exciting.

Food was fantastic! I had pasta with seafood, just the right amount of al dente and seafood was great! My husband had Osso Buco, not my fave but he thought it was great! Kids shared a couple of "McKenna Meaty" pizzas, yum! Inside ambience was very nice, service was extremely attentive. Including appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts AND a bottle of wine, total bill was under $150 for five people. That's a bargain to me, especially in Maui, for delicious food and great service. We'll definitely return!

Evidently there's not much pizza in Maui, but we got lucky with this place in our search for it. The wife got the pesto mushroom pasta special which was perfect. I got the Lorenzo pizza (prosciutto, spinach, truffle oil) which was good as well. Service was decent, felt like we saw the bus girl more than our waitress, but that's OK. Would definitely come back to try one of their meatier pizzas!

One of the worst if not the worst dining experiences I've had in my entire life. The waitress who served us could not have been more rude. I will never go there again and I do not recommend this place to anyone. Suggestion - say something at the end of the meal like thanks for stopping by or how was everything, is there anything else I can get for you. The food was average...the table next to us were not satisfied either. Definitely would recommend going somewhere else.

I really wanted to like this place. Out of four entrees, two had to be sent back. One was ice cold and the other, mahi was not cooked. I also paid $5 to add chicken to my ravioli and the amount they gave was microscopic, maybe a tablespoons worth. They tried to make it up to us with two free desserts, but the meal was truly a disappointment. The pizza was good.

Good service, wait time less than 10 min without reservation! Good beer on draft and average prices

Service was very good, but food was so-so. Soup of the day (Beef soup) was very good. Two of us ordered the Eggplant signature dish, but it was cold. Seemed as though they make this ahead of time and heat it up when people order. The Meatlovers pizza was also so-so; was somewhat dry and very skimpy on the meat; crust was good! Tiarmusu was good, but quite heavy. Restaurant was packed so they set up two additional banquet-type tables which seemed odd. This really took away from the ambiance. Great for kids and casual atmosphere.

how do you say "terrible town" in hawaiian? seriously, roll the dice and give this place a try. if you walk out of there thinking that you just ate good pizza you need to take a good hard look at the choices you've made in your life. now i am not suggesting that you've been doing a stretch in pelican and its been all prison food for the last 20 years but if this place hits your sweet spot i've got a tombstone pizza that's been in my freezer since 2005 that you're going to LOVE. not only is this place dripping with mediocrity(feels like classy Dallas, Texas circa 1996) but the rest of the food is just laughable. my "cobb salad" was so pathetic i thought they brought the wrong food. i kept second guessing myself: "oh, this tiny salad can't be mine. well, there is some bacon here....and tomato....no, no, this can't be my cobb salad...wait, there is half an avocado dropped on top....this can't be right, i better tell the waiter." sure enough, that was all mine and no offer to take it back or replace with something better. no worries, even if the salad didn't do it for me i've got a pizza on the way! oh, that's right. fabiani's. sadtrombone.com JCTSFR: 9.44

Sunday morning 8:30am, I thought I'd have a coffee and some breakfast and read the morning paper. As I walked up to Fabiani's...Michael Jackon's "Beat It" was blaring out the front door. I entered anyway, and picked up a to-go menu...a hostess came to great me. When I asked of they had bagels with lox and cream cheese she answered "what?" (again, the music was incredibly loud- in fact the hostess was no more than 2ft away from me.) Come to find out, she didn't actually know what I was asking for. I clarified "smoked salmon" and she replied "no, we don't have saLmon, This new location needs major work! For bagels, I'll go to Cafe a la plage instead!

Delicious Italian food. Got the Wailea pizza and it was really big and tasty (little bit skimpy on the shrimp though). The carbonara is amazing. The service was slow at first but after we ordered service got better. Had really dry chicken and the item was comped. Definitely recommend

My wife and I enjoyed an early evening meal that unlike many of the restaurants in the Wailea area didn't cost an arm and a leg. The service and food were very good.

Excellent food and our server Magna made sure we had a great time. I am a vegetarian and also do not consume eggs and this place had everything from an appetizer to desert that was eggless. Bruschetta's were awesome! And so was the veggie pizza! Dessert was Cannoli and I am already looking for the receipe!

Wow, a great place to eat for the quality of food, mostly local, service and atmosphere! A winning combo! We first discovered this place got breakfast while visiting the island. The omlets with local ingredients were as good as u would get even at a Four Seasons breakfast. The staff are polite, gracious and accommodating. There are no attitudes here. It is extremely clean n the decor and atmosphere very nice to hang out in. We also ordered dinner there one night n the good vibes of food and people were equally as good. A refreshing place to go if your staying in Wailea. Ps- the prices are good too!

Placed a simple to-go order as I wanted to check out their pizza to see how it was. Ordered a cheese pizza. WELL DONE. Stressed the crispy part 3 times with the staff member taking the order. Get there and the pizza is brought out and the woman who rang me up just handed it to me. I opened it and it's as far from well done as possible. I ask if it's possible to make it well done. She comes back 3 minutes later and hands it to me again without seeing if it's ok. Terrible. Way too much cheese as well. Shouldn't have been a hard task.

This place is the real deal, you will not be disappointed. It is very easy to tell that this is a family owned and run restaurant because everyone in the place was interested in what we might need. The Pasta dishes were fantastic, the Cesar Salad was crisp, and the Garlic Bread is like a trip to heaven.

What a find thanks Yelp for steering us here!! The food here was so good would have given 4 stars but the dessert sent it over the edge it was AMAZING!!!! We had a caesar salad which was descent and then shared a pizza. They let you do half and half on the specialty pizza's which is awesome! The pizza was incredible delicious, crust was perfectly thin and crisp sauces and topping tasted super fresh! I'm a dessert kind of girl and the Lilikoi Meringue Cake blew my socks off it was amazing! We'll be back again before our visit is over!

We went to Fabiani's for dinner on a trip to Maui. Great place: good food, reasonable prices, and great service. Huge added benefit of not being too crowded for Spring Break. The adults had Vegetarian Lasagna and a special fish offer for the night. KIds had Mac-n-Cheese and Cheeseburger from the Kids'menu. All were very tasty. We would come back here again next time in Wailea. One thing to note is that to be careful in finding direction here. Somehow the address seems hard for Yelp on Android to figure out (defaults to center of Wailea) and then the Wailea Ike Dr. wreaks havoc with directions - asking us to go around the block when there was a simple left turn into the shopping complex. We had to call the restaurant to make sure we had the right direction, but the restaurant was worth it.

We tried to get into a different restaurant but it was a 35 minute wait. We came to Fabiani's not knowing what to expect. What we got was great service, fast food delivery, and excellent Mai-Tais. Apparently pretty strong for my wife. We had a couple of pizzas and pasta. The tiramisu cheesecake was most excellent. All in all, a good time was had by all.

I don't know how it gets such good reviews. I had the fish special which was served over tasteless clearly microwaved mashed potatoes (hot and cold spots are hard to achieve otherwise) and nearly inedibly fibrous green beans. My daughter had the pasta carbonara which was shy of al dente and in a leaden gloopy sauce. The bolognese was passable. And the salad my wife has was fine. No view... Order simply if you go.

We were in Wailea Maui for spring break and had just gotten back from a long day driving to Hana. We all decided that we wanted pizza and since we had been to the owners previous restaurant in Wailea we thought that we would give it a try. We ordered a sald which was good and two pizzas. When the pizzas came out they looked different so we inquired with the server as to what type of cheese they use. He did the right thing and said let me check with the chef. He came back and sai dthe chef improvised since he ran out of Mozzerella he used Parmesan and American cheese. Who ever heard of using American cheese on a pizza and if they ran out why didn't they borrow from there other location or maybe even go to the grocery store. When I wrote the owner an email he never resonded to my email. The only reason that I gave them a 2 star was becasue the server was good and to his benefit he did ask us if it was ok. We were to tired and hungry to wait for another dish to be made. We will never go back to this restaurant again.

Seriously fabulous! Probably some of the best pizza I've ever had. Who knew you'd have to come to Hawaii to get it. If you're in Maui, there food is seriously amazing. The pastry case definitely doesn't disappoint either. I'm pretty discerning about these matters as a chef, and I was sort of blown away. The price point isn't bad either.

Had Katie as our server and she was great! Amazing dinner! Had the Caesar 1/2 plate and caprese for starters. The deep fried risotto balls were nice as well as an appetizer. The main course was spaghetti bolognese and fruitti do mare. Both were amazing. My pasta was perfect al dente. This was a welcome "cheaper" meal in the Beverly Hills of Maui. We will be back! Oh btw fresh americano for all you coffee snobs

We frequent the Kihei location of Fabiani's a few times a month. One day we decided to give the Wailea location a try. Their menu is slightly different one of my wife's favorite soups she usually gets in Kihei wasn't available at this location. Ok, kind of strange. The food was just ok as was the service. You can tell there is a big difference in the management of this place from the management of the one in Kihei. The one in Kihei is much better than this one. The owner should send the Kihei manager over to run the Wailea location from the kitchen to the dining room to bring it up to Kihei's higher standard.

A great value in Wailea. The food was amazing. We visited twice during our stay at the Fairmont and wish we could have went more. The pastas were delicious and the pizza was pretty good. The desserts are great so I'd suggest saving some room, or just take one to go and eat it on your lanai.

Excellent pizza! We went to the one in Wailea Gateway Plaza on a Tuesday evening and it was packed out! We waited in line for 10 minutes before being seated by a friendly waitress. The pizza is to die for if you like thin crust. I will be craving this pizza when I get back to San Diego!!!

Loved loved their food so much that we went 2 nights in a row while on our honeymoon. We're New Yorkers and know good authentic Italian cuisine when we taste it. Very nice staff, no reservation necessary, and amazing desserts too! Might go back for breakfast, heard that was even better

My mother and I ate here for lunch, we both ordered the caprese salad, my mom had chicken added. It was delicious!! There could have been a little more lettuce on the plate, for the price. But overall, very good!!!! We also ordered the red velvet cake, super rich but very delicious. Definitely share this dessert- possibly with 3 ppl. Excited to have a new lunch place in Wailea that's reasonably priced and VERY tasty!!

What a little hidden gem in Wailea when you don't want to do the hotel restaurant thing. Delicious food...best chicken picatta that I've ever had... Server Eva was fantastic. Limited but well thought out wine list. Free Parking. Plus the price was reasonable. Will go back again.

I'd probably go 3.5 stars on this if it were available. I got the frutti di mare, which was tasty, although the mussels didn't seem fresh. The kids' spaghetti and meatballs was very solid. My octopus carpaccio appetizer was only OK...little too heavy-handed with the olive oil, yet octopus still stuck to the plate; just didn't totally come together. The service is extremely pleasant, but S-L-O-W. I doubt there's much they can do to improve the speed as this is more cafe than full restaurant (kitchen size probably doesn't permit), but you should at least comp your customers some bread if you're going to have them wait over 30 minutes.

Had a wonderful lunch today. Very comfortable and convenient place, friendly and efficient service, yummy food! Pasta Bolognese is a winner and the salads are light and fresh. The pastries are insanely good, same as the first location. It's BYOB til the liquor license comes through, so grab a bottle on your way in.

I have eaten at the Kihei location since it opened. Was excited to see the new restaurant in Wailea. I have now been there twice. Both times, I ordered a sandwich to-go. Both times, I received my sandwich with ingredients that were not stated on the menu. The last time, I received a burnt sandwich and the cheese was not melted. When I opened the container, the sandwich looked fine. Then I saw the bottom side. It seemed to me the cook knew they had burnt it and served it anyway. The topper was no salad dressing with my salad. Overall, I am not too impressed. I am not sure if they are just trying to figure it out, but I won't be back...for a long time.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
