We both got kids penne with marinara sauce on the side. Wesley: the penne was delicious! Catherine: the penne was very good and the bread was also very good. I think kids like it here because they have good activity pages for children.
The atmosphere of Fabianis is great. No live music, but a soft and quiet tone and really nice people. My family and I thought that the location of this restaurant was a different restaurant. We were lazy to drive to the restaurant we actually wanted to go to so we just decided to stick with it. We entered the room and all of the tables and chairs were right there. The place wasn't too crowds but just perfect. Our waiter, Peter was very nice and generous. He seated us to our table with a lovely attitude. Now we had to order. My father ordered the pasta with clam sauce which turned out super dry so he sent it back and ordered the gateway pizza instead which turned out to be absolutely amazing! I also ordered the Hawaiian classical pizza which was also really good. My brother ordered plain meatballs which also turned out really good. My mother ordered the lasagna which turned out okay. The overall dinner was good. Not amazing and not horrible. The dry pasta let it down. So if you want to eat here, just order the pizza or calzone.
Tasty food all around ... Everyone at our table was pleased with their dinner. Servers and host were super friendly and attentive. Tucked away in a mini-mall, but great food and atmosphere. Recommended!

Very good food, excellent service, gorgeous view. Well Done
This is more than just the best restaurant on the island; this is the best restaurant in the state - hands down. After living 32 years on the Mainland (Chicago area, Washington DC area, and East Coast) and 5 years in Hawaii, this is probably one of the best restaurant meals I have ever had. The hubby and I are total foodies and we tell everyone to go there if they're on Maui. They always report back to us that it is as wonderful as we remember. (We dined there at the end of 2007.) Take a cab, accept your server's recommendations, buy the best wine, and shoot the works. You're going to be in for one heck of an awesome experience. Our server and the bus boy were both male. I didn't catch either of their names, but both were superb. Attentive but not intrusive. We sat outside and had reservations in time for sunset. The drinks are fantastic. We weren't sure how much we'd like it, but once we had the appetizer (scallops - perfectly cooked with an amazing sauce and herbs accompanying them), we knew it was something special to savor. I think we were there close to 4 hours. We took our time with every course and after the appetizer, we wouldn't split ANYTHING with each other. LOL We each sampled each other's entree and dessert but everything was so creative and cooked to such utter perfection, we would have been shortchanging ourselves if we didn't try two of each thing. After dessert, I wanted some dessert wine to finish the night. I couldn't decide between two on the list, so our server brought me a complimentary sample of each to help me make up my mind. If you have a special occasion (anniversary, marriage proposal, etc.) or really want to impress someone, this is the place to go. I think the total for the two of us with drinks, one appetizer, two entrees, two desserts, plus apertifs and a full bottle of excellent wine was about $260 including tip. There are places on Oahu that will charge you more than that and not come close in terms of food or service. I hesitated to write a review here because, much as I love the place, I sometimes worry that the secret will get out and next time I go, I won't be able to get a reservation. When my husband and I visit Maui next, our only rule is that we MUST go to Capische. It is simply not to be missed.
Very good meal but Italian in any way? I think not. Super expensive with little view. The garden is lovely in this out of the way location set back near the highway. Service is goodand decor is average. Been there twice, wont be a third time.

This GRAND restuarant with spectacular view of the GRAND WAILEA grounds is a must when in MAUI.Breakfast buffet with the freshest selections of fruits, poultry, bread and meat. SERVICE is excellent.
Champagne brunch here is a must. I think I've discovered a new thing i have to do on Sundays when I'm on the island. Great food, absolutely gorgeous view. Can't go wrong.
Brunch buffet (10am-1pm) review Pretty solid spread overall. Enough choices to get uncomfortably full and still have things you hadn't yet tried. No complaints on service, and price at $50 seemed fair. Decent amount of Bfast items (the usual proteins, toast bagels etc. omelet station) plus some pretty decent lunch items like mushroom penne, potatoes au gratin, some white fish, etc. sushi/sashimi element was weak but as expected. Desserts were well done with a subdae bar, gourmet donuts & malasadas, the requisite tropical fruits, and tiramisu as the highlight for myself. Champagne was good with frequent enough refills, and live Hawaiian music a nice touch. Side note: Did feel a little like an anglo bourgeois dbag noticing that clientele was all old white people, and staff were all old brown people. All in all a worthwhile endeavor and satisfying maui buffet. Have a feeling the extra $ is well worth it if you're looking for a more upscale version of maui beach hotel / Waikapu golf course buffets.

Delicious Mai Tais and friendly service. In fact everything was so wonderful my youngest sister was so jealous and upset we weren't staying in the Wailea. "But WHY do we have to stay in a condo!?" Spoiled brat. $5 Mai Tais happy hour from 5:30 to 6:30!
Expensive. No shit. Nice bartenders, beautiful looking place, good drinks, and saw some Vanilla Ice-lookin' tool make a jackass out of himself trying to hit on one of the waitresses.
We have been here twice, two years ago and this time. Both times the sounds of waves were taken over by the sounds of drills, hammers, and saws. Constant construction, once I get but 2 years in between and still? Not diggin that. Service was great, the ladies helping us were very kind and a bit comedic. Lol. We had a pizza to share and it was really good. Prices are high and the constant construction took away from the justification of the prices.

Reviews:
The only thing cheesy about this place is its atmosphere. Fake island style decorations. The burger..... a step below "OK". Hardly any taste, it was actually kind of weird. The only saving grace is that the (disappointingly a la carte) fries & onion rings were good. Still not good enough to rate this waste of time place more than 1 star. Oh yeah, and the waitress sucked. It's like she knew the burgers weren't going to be any good.
I had breakfast here three or four times last week, one lunch, and one dinner. It is right next to the Marriot where we stayed. The price and proximity were major factors. I didn't really want to go here the first time since it was in a shopping plaza and looked like a 'cheesy' chain. I was pleasently surprised by the quality of the breakfasts. I usually had the Macadamian nut pancakes and two poached eggs with a half of a papaya and some coffee. It was delicious and under half the price of the buffet at the resort where we were staying. I did try the Hawaian cheese burger which was great and the chicken salad sandwich for my meal on the way to the airport and both were great too. They have another restaurant on Maui and one or two on Oahu. They also have one at The Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas and one in Key West FL. I never noticed the one at PH. I will have to try it in a couple weeks and report back. I need to lay off the buffets after all the food I had in Hawaii. Maybe I will just eat Papaya and poached eggs when I am in Vegas next week......... yeah.....
This joint is well below average and pricey for what you get. The food was lackluster at best. Skip this joint, it's just not worth it.
