Banjy’s Paradise Bar & Grill

Reviews:
Our family headed to Banjy's, with some trepidation after reading the other reviews, fresh off an inter-island plane and ready for late lunch. However we were very pleasantly surprised: excellent fish tacos, a very solid chicken club sandwich with sweet potato fries (yum), and two burgers filled e bill and more. Service was pleasant and efficient.
We went here because it was close to the Paniolo Greens and they agreed to put on our football game. Despite earlier reviews the service was great and the $2 tacos were good. Happy hour beers were $3 and wine $4. Probably one of the cheaper meals we had in Hawaii.
Loved the Kalua pulled pork tacos washed down with a cold draft Kona Longboard! Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere.

Enjoyed a lovely late dinner with six friends at Solimene's, and although they were very busy, the wait was exactly as predicted and well worth it. We started with antipasto to pass around (more than enough), moved on to entrees of chicken, pasta, shrimp, generous salads and my goat cheese pizza with figs and carmelized onion - outstanding. Irresistable dessert was enough for everybody to have a bite: warm mac nut pie a la mode. They are only here till spring, so don't miss your opportunity.
We waited a long time before someone seated us at this restaurant. It seemed they were a little understaffed with 2 servers working the inside and outside dining area. The prep and and kitchen staff looked like they were just managing to get by with food service. The service was so-so because of this situation. The food was also mediocre. The mahi-mahi sandwich was more bun than fish; the pizza was fresh but full of cheese and not enouh of the other toppings. They seemed a little underbaked as well. Will I come back? Probably not, despite the servers making as much of an effort as they possibly could that day we visited.
Great place to dine. Had one of the pizzas. The mozzarella was fantastic. Very good house sauce. Very attentive service.
