I ordered the beef pho with a side order of spring rolls. The beef pho was AMAZING--full of flavor!!!!!!!!! I ordered a small portion, and it was quite filling with the amount of veggies they gave. The spring rolls were "okay," and I don't think I'll be craving to go back for more...BUT I will definitely be back for their pho. The male waiter was very friendly and efficient (e.g. made sure our water was filled). There's lots of parking on either Long's Drugs or Foodland parking lot. There's and entrance to the restaurant from either parking lots.

This is a favorite spot in Wahiawa. Good food and service, super casual and easy parking. I get the chicken curry pretty much every time, it comes with two scoops of white rice and I absolutely love it. It gets busy at lunch time so it's good to go early. They have deserts available also. The "I love Pho King" shirts are very funny also...

Pho King is pho king good! Ambiance/Feel: Dive in Wahiawa with authentic pho. Simple décor with simple tables. Authentic Asian melamine dishware just like they use in Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, etc.! Casual Asian dining. Shorts, slippahs, ok! Food: I ordered the beef and tendon pho It was much better than other pho I've had on-island. The broth was excellently (is that a word?) flavored - with hints of cilantro and slivers of fresh onion. Their accompanying greens were complete with sprouts, lime, fresh basil, jalapeño, and an Asian bitter leaf (unknown to me) that was great ruffage. Fiber, people! Eat your fiber! Tendon was well-done and not gamey. They could have added a couple more beef slices (e.g. a bit skimpy on the protein). Noodles were perfect in texture and amount. Service was attentive and speedy. Both good things. Tips: A small sized pho was filling enough. Our table of four split the shrimp summer rolls...yum! One of my friends raved about the taro and sweet potato tapioca dessert, which he bought to-go per request of his wife. Good husband. Overall: Come here after a surf lesson at Haleiwa Town or drive back to town feeling healthy and happy! Shaka!

I went in for take out. The guy at the register has no personality to work in the front! I ordered, paid and sat down. He brought my order and plopped it on the table where I was sitting, not a single word, not even a thank you. When I came home & sat down to eat, I noticed he did not give me any sauce! My pho is bland, no taste. I ordered the vegetable pho with tofu and they forgot my tofu. When I called, the same guy (short, dark hair), gave me attitude and said he would write my name down amd credit me for the side tofu. I also told him he didnt give me sauce and he said they don't give it anymore, its in a basket by the register. I told him he needed to offer it to me and he just gave me attitude. I will not go there anymore and I told him I don't want the credit for the tofu. I guess I'll go to Saigon noodle house from now on.

The Service: Only one staff on the floor. Very slow service. They don't serve all orders at the same time. Some of us have to wait more than 5 minutes while others are already eating their food. :( The Food: Ham & pate sandwich - Lots carrots and white radish but not enough ham and pate. Papaya Salad - Lots of shredded papaya, but not flavorful. The shrimp has no taste.... like they were frozen before? The Parking: Plaza parking lot (free)

I come here quite often, mostly because it's the closest Pho restaurant to home (aside from Ba-le but I'd choose anywhere over there.) My usual order is a medium rare steak pho (without beef balls). The broth here is very tasty and not too salty. Price is average. Another great dish my boyfriend likes to get is the chicken lemongrass vermicelli. It's a good choice if you want to try something other than pho at a vietnamese restaurant. The only dish I was disappointed by was the rice & short ribs plate that my grandpa ordered once. The portion was very small for the semi-high price they charge. It was tasty, though. Service is always on point here, which I definitely appreciate because I've been to some pho restaurants with horrible service.

I'm not a huge Pho fan, but my husband can eat it daily. We decided to stop at Pho King for lunch this weekend, which I didn't mind since they have a variety of menu items. Hands down, this was the best Pho of any I have reviewed on Yelp! Three days after eating there, my husband is still talking about his Oxtail Pho. The broth was flavor perfection. The Oxtail was bone-sucking good and melted in my mouth. We even saved some of the meat for our very picky puppy and the little guy was in hog heaven when I fed it to him! This Pho actually turned me into a Pho fan! I had the Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi and it was loaded with Chicken as well as vegetables. The bread was so fresh it was worth eating by itself. I dipped mine in my husband's Pho and I came real close to just ordering more bread so I could sop up every last drop of broth. We ordered the Coconut and Sweet Potato Tapioca pudding to go and both were very good. I think the Sweet Potato edged out the Coconut, which is unusual for me to say considering I'm so addicted to Coconut I could probably go to rehab for it. Nahhh, I would relapse as soon as I checked out! We will definitely become Pho King regulars and it's nice to know we won't have to go far since we live on the North Shore!

Hubs was only intrigued by this place simply because the name had a naughty connotation and nothing more. His go to eatery has always been Dong Yang so it took quite a bit of persuasion to get him here. Upon entering, it was obviously a few degrees warmer inside than it was outside. Greaaaatttt. There were a quite a few ceiling fans on but the AC seems to be broken or useless. We were greeted by a guy who seems to hate his job but nevertheless went through the motions. Not one faint smile or kind word from him. Normally I'd chalk it up to another unfriendly Asian restaurant but I can't really say that in Hawaii. Everyone is freakin nice here! I digress. So our food comes out and it's in gargantuan proportions! Even the bean sprouts, basil dish for the pho was enormous!!! I ordered the oxtail pho which was equally large in size. The flavor of the broth was good but not authentic. Typical oxtail broth has a much more pungent aroma. This was much more mild in flavor but nevertheless good. The oxtail itself was also good, not great. I would've liked it to be more tender. The noodles were awesome! The kids shared the garlic shrimp pho. Again, this was good not great. For the price of this pho, considering the amount and size of shrimp, and abundance of food in the bowl, it's a great deal. The flavor could've used more garlicky flavor. Hubs got the typical beef pho. The proportions were generous indeed. The meat was cut thick, the way hubs likes it. The broth was spot on. For dessert, we ordered the tapioca in banana and sweet potato, only because sad face waiter said the these were the best ones available (however he said coconut is best but not available). I thought it was junk but kids loved it...then again they like anything sweet. When I asked for the bill, sad waiter simply pointed at the register. There was a large sign that said "Pay at the register." Duhhhhh! I thought I'd at least get a bill to take up there. As soon as we walked out of the restaurant I automatically felt so much better. The cooler temperature and slight breeze felt soooo nice! Recap! Good food...Poor temperature control...sad waiter...(however there was one other guy who actually served the food and he was way happier that automatically made me happier)...so happy waiter...gargantuan proportions...all in all a solid 4 stars...make that 3.75 stars. I like to round up. The edges of the table had solidified gunk covering the perimeter of our table. I didn't check the other tables, but my guess is it's there, too. How hard is it to wipe down the sides of the table?! This is what you get when you have boys running the restaurant!

I have been eating at pho king for a long time. The coffee is great and the pho is always good. I have seen that some get mad at the time it takes. I don't see this as a issue. Quality takes time. The place is small but this is Hawaii so who cares we all know the cost of rent. My fiancé is Vietnamese and we have eaten at a few places I like this one the most. As the flavor is on par with more expensive places.

Pho King. Seriously? Yes, it's true they are pretty "Pho King" amazing!! I mean, just uttering out the "Title" of this restaurant cracks me up, yet it made me curious on what the "hype" was about?! ~Do people like this place b/c of the humor that goes with the name? ~Or does they're food, especially they're Pho speaks for themselves? Yes & YES! I mean brilliant yet clever name that draws people near, but curiosity doesn't necessarily kill the cat, because this place had everything I dream a Pho would have! BOOM! - Huge servings - Delicious broth - Friendly service - Awesome restaurant name - Great amount of leafy greens, bean sprouts, and basil - Generous amount of beef & brisket in the pho - Spring Rolls are delicious, always fresh & hot when served! BOO! - Its far...meaning Wahiawa far - Summer Roll is not my favorite here /: Besides the location being far, and not having a foodgasm with they're Summer Rolls, I think I found a new favorite Pho! eeek! I know! they're broth is SUPER delicious, you don't even need to add any sauce to add flavors in your hot bowl of yumminess! I will say its probably the BEST Pho I have yet to eat & enjoy every single sip & bite of, yes, it is that good! My wife enjoy's they're Seafood Pho, as for me I go all carnivore out with the Beef & Brisket! They give you a generous amount of beef & thick cuts of brisket, so you end up leaving full & satisfied! Service is good as well, servers are on top of it, from the time you enter into they're doors asking if you are eating here or to go, to refilling our water when it's on it's way to empty! Definitely a place to come to if you on this side, or if you don't mind a long drive to get some tasty Pho! Because the drive will definitely be worth it! Yes "Pho King", you guys are pretty Pho King Amazing! (; Happy Pho eats Yelpers!!

Sadly, really disappointed with my experience at Pho King. After reading so many rave reviews about the place, I was super excited to finally get my pho fix here. Parking and walking into the place, I was hit with the hole-in-wall feeling that had me believing I would be supping on a delicious bowl of pho. Unfortunately this wasn't the case whatsoever. We ordered a plate of spring rolls to start. Apparently, the "vegetables" accompanying the spring rolls are more expensive than the rolls themselves, so ordering 2 rolls (with veggies) is actually more expensive than ordering 4 spring rolls by themselves. Whatever to that logic. The rolls were pretty good but the wrapping had me tasting "egg rolls" rather than "spring rolls". I ordered a small bowl of chicken pho, which I get every time I eat pho. Pretty much the worst bowl of pho I've ever tasted, I'm sad to say. The noodles had a bottom-of-the-pot burnt taste that ruined my whole meal. I had a sample of the combination pho and the noodles in that bowl was the same as well. The broth was bland and like a fellow Yelper mentioned in a previous review, the chicken they use is definitely not from a good portion of the bird. Our food took forever to come out of the kitchen. I've never waited over 25 minutes for a bowl of pho before. The restaurant wasn't even super packed or anything. Portions were normal and price is expected for Hawaii. One star for the excellent customer service we received. I guess I'll have to continue my quest for finding a decent bowl of pho on the island.

A Pho King good time. I journeyed here for dinner with fellow Yelpers as part of the monthly UYE Pho dining series hosted by Victoria M. I admit I was a bit skeptical traveling/driving so far out of town just for pho, but my skepticism eventually disappeared after enjoying a delicious meal with wonderful people. LOCATION: A strip mall along California Avenue. Ample parking available. The restaurant is a decent size. Our group of 13 basically took over their front area, and I'm thankful Victoria was able to secure enough tables for everyone. Of course, the name of the restaurant hints at a sexual innuendo, and therefore the jokes and play-on-words were prevalent throughout the evening. In fact, it provided a bit of entertainment for all as there was a contest for the best use of the name in a joke or expression. FOOD: The menu boasts a large selection of appetizers/starters, salad, etc. Of course, the main attraction is the pho. And there are many varieties to choose from as well. For me, the brisket pho sounded the most appetizing. And so I put in my order for the large size and waited in ravenous anticipation. *Spring Rolls: To start, Victoria ordered spring rolls for everyone to share. I thought they were quite good, and the sides were plentiful. *Brisket Pho (large size): Served steaming hot with a flavorful broth accompanied by thick pieces of brisket and tender noodles. The leafy greens, bean sprouts, and basil that is served along with the pho is extremely generous. The abundance of brisket swimming in a sea of noodles and sides was very filling, while the broth was absolutely delicious. Sadly, the large size was more than I had anticipated and I wish I could have finished it all. SERVICE: Terrific! The two young men serving our group (including other tables) were polite and very attentive. The food was brought out in a timely manner, dishes were taken away when needed, and water refills readily given. NOTE: *Restroom available for customers. *Credit cards accepted. *BYOB. *Black shirts with expression "I love Pho King" available for purchase. $15. BOTTOM LINE: A wonderful meal spent with terrific people. Though I don't get out to Wahiawa very much, I would definitely consider Pho King again if I'm in the neighborhood.

Looove this place. Cheap! Delicious! Broth is perfect! Beef and meatballs is my favorite . We eat here once a week! (Sometimes twice) But I would love to see it a lil more clean.

Hardcore Pho King fan! Pho King is on my top three restaurants for ultimate comfort food. The food is fresh, consistent, and most of all- mouthwatering! So so good! I really feel like they offer authentic dining. It feels homemade, just like something your grandma would make. Don't be deceived by the area- the parking is easy, right outside of Foodland. They're lemongrass bánh mi / sandwich is DELICIOUS. Highly recommended!!!! They're bread is perfectly crisp, the chicken melts in your mouth, and is complemented with fresh veggies and sauce. I also enjoy their classic beef pho, and shrimp rolls. Perfect combo.

The regular size pho we order is more kid size with an adult price. The pork chop was badly char.

If you're in the mood for pho (which I was, this morning) - you might want to try Pho King in the cool and rustic town of Wahiawa. Is it worth the drive from town? It depends on what you're into. It's easy to find. There is a LOT of parking - which is really weird, in Hawaii (same lot as Foodland). The restaurant is good sized, and there are a couple of large tables for groups. The menu is clear and concise. We had the spring rolls, summer rolls and two bowls of pho. The spring rolls were awesome. Crunchy, tasty and piping hot! They have a roasted garlic flavor that makes them monumentally delicious. The summer rolls were so fresh - that enticing chewiness that rice dumplings can have, rules the plate here. The plump PROPERLY COOKED shrimp taste clean and everything is visually appealing. Here's where King Pho takes a detour. DETOUR mind you - it still gets you to your Vietnamese destination ... it just takes the backroad doing it. The pho is ... different. Not bad different - different different. It's floral to the point of being perfumy. It's got a weird sweetness to it that produces a wonky citrus-melon flavor. It's not like your standard pho broth (I'm a pho-veteran). Is it good? Depends. If my description makes your mouth water, jump in the car and come halfway to Haleiwa for a bowl. If it makes your brow furrow, I still think it's worth a shot (riding on the strength of the other items). If imagining perfumy, sweet, melony pho broth in your mouth makes your skin crawl, don't come here. Overall a grade of B- ... there is so much going for it. But if a pho restaurant's heart is its broth, Pho King needs a beta-blocker. PS: The tapioca puddings are light and sweet. Tastes like they're made with skim milk and Splenda.

I'm going to try real hard to stay away from the pho puns, especially with the name of the restaurant. It'll be difficult, but I'm sure I can do it. Why would someone go to Wahiawa for pho? Oahu is filled with great pho places, why not stay in town? When I think of pho spots all around the country that has a pho pun in its name, I usually don't think they take their pho seriously. Pho King definitely changed that notion for me. The broth was great. Serving size, excellent. But the gem of their pho is their brisket meat. Words cannot describe how good their brisket is. If you're a lover of brisket, you might even consider getting extra brisket on your order. They also have rainbow jello in the fridge. I couldn't help but to get that before my pho came in. Service a bit slow, restaurant configuration a bit awkward, but who cares. Dat brisket doe.

OUR LAST MEAL IN HAWAII!!!!!!! What a perfect way to end a fabulous vacation......honestly the best Pho place we have ever been to. The service was exceptional.......we even told the waitress, we need you to move to the Mainland, cause you are now our favorite Pho restaurant.

Name is funny :) but it didn't stop me from enjoying my food. I ordered Vegetable Pho, Spring Rolls and Shrimp Rolls to go, so cant tell anything about the dining in experience. My food was ready in 15 min as promised. When we got home, we were really impressed. I love pho and am very picky about it. This one was excellent. Very tasty, not too salty, not too heavy. Very fresh veggies. Rolls had very fresh lettuce and cucumbers and good peanut sauce. My daughter "killed" her shrimp rolls, so I assume it was good (6 year olds are very picky and wont eat something that is not tasty). We paid around $28 for pho, 2 orders of spring rolls and order or shrimp rolls, which is not bad price. Had plenty to feed 5 people. I will definitely be back!

Ended up here as part of a UYE. I must say that I enjoy having a nice good bowl of seafood pho. This place truly delivers on that end. For the seafood pho, I had a choice between steamed or garlic stir fried. I went with the garlic stir fried. I also had an order of the shrimp rolls, which was very good. But back to the pho. I ordered the large even though they have a regular size too. When I got my pho, the bowl was huge. This place was very generous with the vegetables, especially the bean sprouts. The broth has a good flavor, which was enhanced by the lemon slices. They even have desserts like coconut banana, and sweet potato tapioca pudding, as well as chocolate chip cookies and M&M cookies. Overall a pretty good dining experience. The floorspace is of adequate size and had music playing. The service was also great with the servers being very attentive to our needs. The place even have t-shirts and bumper stickers for sale. The only small downside is the restroom, which is only able to take 1 person at a time. Nur other than that a very great experience and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great bowl of pho.

I ordered the large combination pho. It was delicious and nicely sized with tons of meat and add ons like basil and bean sprouts. The broth is slightly sweet, but light and tasted wholesome. These flanks are thickly sliced, nicely layered with the fats and tendons, and cooked so tenderly and still juicy with its own flavor; I've tried many pho, this is by far the one of the best I've tried, flank from others often have the woodsy texture and so are normally sliced thin. I will definitely be coming back.

My mom has been ranting about this place for months now so I finally tried it. Located in the wahiawa shopping center a few doors down from foodland. We walked in through the back door and just sat our selfs. The server came quick with the menus and our waters. I ordered the large combination pho. It included brisket, beef meat balls, tripe, tendon and beef. Good came out in about 5 mins. The plate of vegetables had culantro, bean sprouts, thai basil, jalapeño and lemon. The broth was tasty and the noodles were cooked perfect. All an all this place is great and I can't wait to go back.

At first I thought it was a joke. Ever since I first heard of the delicious soupy goodness that is pho, I always imagined a Vietnamese restaurant opening up on King St. somewhere with a little Burger King-esque crown on their logo, and they would be named Pho King. I guess someone in Wahiawa beat them to the punch! OH YEAH!! + Clever name! + Logo merch (I bought a t-shirt!) + Friendly service + Delicious pho + Huge servings + Pokey leaf!! OH NO!! - It's all the way out in Wahiawa OH MY?! * I think the name says it all! I first heard of this place when my friend who works out in Wahiawa told me about it. I knew that I would have to check it out! Even if it wasn't very good, it would be worth it because of the name. On a recent trip back from the North Shore we stopped here for dinner, and it was great! I had ordered a combination pho which consisted of all of the beef products on their menu in one hot steaming bowl of well balanced broth and tender noodles. The beef items included were rare beef, tendon, brisket, tripe, and beef balls. And there was a lot of beef product in that giant bowl! The amount of veggies that accompany the bowl of pho matches the bowl size. Ridonkulous!! A small mountain of bean sprouts, thai basil, half a fresh jalapeno, and pokey leaf!!! I have no idea what the real name for pokey leaf is, but it's pretty good stuff! And yes, the leaves are pokes on the sides. You know the business owners here are on it because not only do they serve some delicious pho, but they also take advantage of their catchy name, and sell logo merch! I just couldn't resist buying a t-shirt with the I (heart) Pho King logo on it! Because I do!! They also sell bumper stickers and other logo merch. :D My only gripe... They're in Wahiawa. That's just way too far for this townie! But I guess that will make the sporadic trips out there that much more special. So who's down for a road trip?? Hooky day, anyone?? :D

I came here during my lunch break. There's a lot of parking in that complex, so parking shouldn't be a problem, but if it is then you can find parking on the other side. It's a small pho restaurant, but they serve the best pho I've ever had besides pho to Chau in Chinatown. The food here is great! Their pho soup is so delicious that I drank all my soup after. I paid 7 dollars for a small combination. It came with a lot of meat and the meat is a different cut compared to other pho places in town. I love their different style of meat; it has a soft texture to it. The service was okay. The guy just walked us to our table, it looked like he hated his job. After I order he asked me if I wanted the vegetables, I personally thought it was silly to ask because who doesn't eat mint with their pho. Even though the service wasn't the best service, the food made up for it. I would definitely come back here during my lunch break or if I'm in this side of town. For dessert you should try their taro tapioca. The consistency of the taro tapioca was amazing. It wasn't watery like most places. The taro actually taste like taro. It's a good place guys, come check them out

Hands down the best pho I have had on the island. Granted it does not look like much on the outside but once you go in and sit down you will not be disappointed. The service is very good, the food even better, and the bubble tea is great. I am proud to say I will keep coming back here.

Funny name, crappy food. Their soup has no flavor and they give skimpy portions. Tapioca tastes like water. Quality definitely lacks here.

Out of all the pho restaurants this is by far my favorite. Always served in a timely manner and the quality of broth in their pho is second to none. If you're in the area I highly recommend eating pho here whether it's a rainy day and feel a little down to just grabbing a bite to soothe the soul.

Oh Pho King...you have to laugh and just smile at the name of this place :) This is my go-to in Wahiawa or central Oahu at least for pho. My all time favorite pho place closed down (I miss Saigon Deli and Mai :( ) so when I'm craving pho, I'll come here. The broth has been pretty consistent and their portion sizes are a large bowl that I can never come close to finishing despite only asking for half the amount of noodles. The menu here is typical and I haven't tried anything I haven't liked. T It's just consistent for me...and in the world of pho, I'm okay with that. They have the normal condiments to add to your pho or use to dip on the side. Whenever I come for dinner, it's a good sized crowd. Parking never seems to be a problem. I know they take card, but I think it's like a $5 minimum which isn't too hard to reach.

Three years after my 1st review & I'm happy to say that Pho King has grown on me. I had a nice combination pho this past week & it was so good. The broth was rich & flavorful, and there was a nice large serving of meat (brisket & rare steak... plus tendon & tripe). I asked for extra round onion too which was gladly obliged. My take out order was also nicely packed with lots of lemon & bean sprouts. (I don't eat the other stuff so I told them not to give me any.) One thing I'd like to point out though is that the portion size does seem smaller than at other restaurants. This isn't really a negative for me because it's still more than enough to fill my tummy. Also, I almost always get take out & haven't eaten in the restaurant recently so the smaller portion size may only apply to take out orders of pho. Bottom line is that the food is delicious & I will continue to be a repeat customer!

Awesome place to grab some pho. The portion sizes are great, affordable, along with a great selection of pho. The chicken pho is great, as well as the garlic shrimp pho. I will definitely cone back here. It's great for groups, children friendly, as well as awesome customer service.

Horrible place my husband has a milk allergy they didn't even notified us that there boba drinks had milk in it. Waitresses were rude and showed no personality. This wasn't even a busy day it was hardly anyone here. Everything was crappy. It's not even rate able. Over all the cook was great, vibrant and the food was great ! Maybe they need to hire new waiters

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant on this side of the island. The soup base is very tasty and their BBQ chicken/garlic shrimp rice plate is soo good! The family that runs this restaurant is always very friendly with good service.

My husband and I eat here often. He LOVES the Oxtail Pho and he knows his Oxtail! I've tried the BBQ chicken Pho and Garlic Shrimp Pho and both were awesome! Will try the meatball pho on ourr next visit. The sweet potato and banana tapioca fir desert is the icing! Good to find healthier eats in wahiawa!

I tried Pho King based on a lot if good reviews. However for me the taste if their combination Pho just wasn't right. I haven't tried their other dishes so maybe they're better. The atmosphere is a bit dingy but it's in a Wahiawa strip mall from the 1970s so you can't expect much.

Man...I am seriously depressed about this place. I LOVE PHO. Anyone who knows me, knows I love pho. I could eat it every day and never get sick of it. So I always want to try new places, in search of the ultimate yumminess! After reading the reviews I was pretty stoked to try this place. This is one of those times that yelp has really failed me =( Went with a couple friends and we split an order of spring rolls. They were ok, a little too oily, and the dipping sauce was unremarkable. I ordered the chicken pho, and my friends ordered the bbq chicken pho, and the rare steak pho. *sigh* The chicken pho was disgusting. I don't even want to guess which parts of the chicken they used. The menu said dark meat, but this was unlike any chicken meat I have ever seen. They looked and tasted like boiled globs of fat. I had to spit it out into my napkin. The broth didn't even taste like pho broth, it was bland and had zero flavor. I tried to spice it up with sriracha and oyster sauce but too be honest the whole thing was inedible. My friends bbq chicken pho had no chicken in it. I'm sorry, correction, it had one piece of chicken in it. Lingering at the bottom of the bowl, under the noodles. The broth was like, only dark brown.. I'm not sure what was bbq about it... The rare steak pho was actually decent. My friend liked it and finished his bowl. He also said their boba drinks were pretty legit. I however will never come back here. Ever.

One of the best pho places here in Oahu. Pho king definitely deserves a 5 star in my opinion. Food is always delicious and you get it in less than 15 minutes. I have never waited any longer and it is always hot and fresh. I usually order the spring rolls which has all the yummy vegetable sides and the stinky but amazing fish sauce. Sometimes my appetizer comes with my meal which is one thing I don't like. But because they do such a food job with it, I can't complain too much. With my bowl of pho, I usually get the beef. Always served hot and the bowl is a good size. They don't have different bowl sizes but it is large enough to get you into a food coma. I also love that they have a large variety of boba teas. Many pho places don't have this so I'm glad that pho king serves it. The inside is fairly decent. Nothing spectacular about it but it does provide a nice and friendly atmosphere. The outside is your typical hole in the wall look. It is located in the Wahiawa shopping center next to a laundry mat, basking Robbins and I believe a times supermarket. There are more stores around it however I don't shop there often. All in all if you are in this part of the island I recommend you to try this place. I promise you it is worth your drive. GP

Wow, they changed up the menus with pictures PLUS there's 2 sizes for pho - small and large! These upgrades will have me coming back for more especially now I'll be able to get a smaller size bowl. Service is always friendly and prompt with our order. Our go to place in Wahiawa!

I absolutely love love love the beef pho and all of the different pho's they have! Their hot sauce that they have goes perfectly with the pho! I literally crave it all the time, and now the weather is perfect for pho && the workers are very friendly. I will be back for another pho very soon!

Pho-King delicious! Yes, their name is borderline profane but their pho hits the spot when you need a fix. And yes, there are way better pho places on the island but given the location and other pho choices in Central Oahu, Pho King is your best bet within a 10 mile radius. The servers here are pleasant and on it with fast and friendly service. 1-star off for the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. It's borderline divey which can easily be remedied with frequent mopping and dusting. All in all, good flavored pho broth with fresh ingredients and perfect meats-to-noodle ratio goes well with the wet Wahiawa weather. Keep the volume down when you mention the restaurant's name.

My boyfriend and I come here almost every week to get our pho fix, it's super convenient because of it's location near us. Their broth is pretty good, has almost a sweet, lingering taste in there which is nice. I usually get the tendon pho, and my boyfriend gets the beef and meatball. They offer one size of pho, but it's an excellent amount. They give a sufficient amount of meat, noodles and soup. They cook their tendon until it's tender unlike some others that I've tried, bonus. I also recommend their spring rolls! The customer service was always great, each time we came. They immediately serve us when we get in, and the wait time isn't so long. The longest time we waited for our food was about 10 minutes. Overall, I recommend it!

One of the few Pho places on this island that has a great menu and Pho. Reminds me of the Pho places I eat at back home in Cali. Prices are reasonable unlike a few other joints. Broth is always good. Great noodles to meat proportions.

Just ordered BBQ chicken/lemon grass chicken plate. It's been about 15 mins so far and yet no food. While the guests with me got all of theirs. Update: just got my BBQ chicken/ lemon grass chicken plate. Took about 34 mins. Food was great. Service was mediocre. Tip: order pho and don't come during normal busy hours.

I'm giving it a 4 star rating because I love Pho and of all the places I've visited so far, this place is the best. They serve a LOT of veggies. The basil is always so fresh, so when you throw it in your huge bowl, let me repeat, HUGE bowl of broth, and let it sit for a few minutes, you'll start to smell the aroma of the basil and it is just sooooooooo nice. The broth is also so very flavorful. I haven't tried anything else on the menu other than my usual order of the BBQ Chicken Pho, Spring Rolls, and the tapioca pudding for dessert. So let me talk about those. The BBQ chicken is tasty, however, to the naked eye, it may look a little unappetizing. Just don't look at them when you pop one in your mouth! Lol. No, but for real, it is... I don't know, maybe it's just me. They are good, though, so that's what counts, right? I love their spring rolls. They service two very large rolls, each cut in half, and served with a homemade sauce. I'm not sure what's in it but it's really good. It's not the red thai sauce that other restaurants serve their rolls with (though they do have a bottle of that on each table). Sometimes I get full off of the spring rolls, and can't eat all of my pho. Okay, I lied, I always get full from eating my spring rolls. I don't eat much so it's almost a waste for me because I order too much for my tummy. To end, I love to top it off with their sweet potato tapioca pudding. You know, like the kind they serve at Bale? Yes, the same kind. Even served in the same type of container. Somehow I like this one over Bale. It's not as sweet and they have more sweet potato chunks in theirs. It's the perfect end to the perfect lunch. Especially on a cold weather day, or on a day when I'm feeling under the weather and you just need some good soup. They also make their own Thai Iced tea that is pretty ono, too. The workers are always so friendly and we always receive service quickly. No wait time here. Definitely a hidden gem for sure.

I love this place! The associates are super friendly and no standoffish like most other pho places. You can tell they really care about their customers as they make an effort to build relationships. We come here frequently for take away when anyone in our family has the cold. Love the pho and the sandwiches.

I always order takeout and they always pack it well which is so appreciated especially when it is pho. This is very important when driving home with pho. Thank you for packing the pho carefully every time. Your staff is very nice too.

If you're going for quality... ahh, i've had better. If you're going for quantity... this places gives A LOT!! I had the lemongrass chicken bun. It was a huge bowl full. I thought the chicken could have been a little tastier but it made up for it in quatity. I think maybe I'll try the pho next time because isn't that how you "really" measure a Vietnamese place?

Let me start by quoting a previous reviewer... PHO-KING Delicious! Best Pho on Oahu! I had the meatball Pho added tripe- delicious !! The broth was rich and flavorful, and clean- no particulates floating around in it, just pure yummy deliciousness! Also had the fried spring rolls which were tasty as well.... Was pleased to see the fresh ingredients (daikon, carrots, shallots) be peeled & prepared by a women in the back room off of the kitchen ..and the fresh taste of the Pho exemplifies this...PHO REAL!

Delicious beef and meatball pho, spring rolls , sandwiches and more!! My kiddos like that they have seasoned fries as an option. My favorite is that they have tapioca pudding/jello and Vietnamese manapua to go

I have to agree with M and M's recent update. I also feel sad when I have to take back stars from a place that was once my favorite. Our last visit for pho was not good at all. The broth didn't have the same robust flavor as before, and the portion was really small! And what happened to the friendly service? One would think that after 50+ visits the owners would at least say "hi" or acknowledge us. They didn't even crack a smile, which annoyed me even further. Oh well, I think we gave them enough chances, but no more. There are many other pho establishments that we love, but we are crossing this one off that list. We'd rather feel appreciated as customers, not nuisances to them.

Pho King is a source of bad jokes and guffaws among our social circle for the odd name. I've heard of some weird restaurant names, but this one takes the cake. It's also located in a pretty Ghetto part of town (sorrrry if you live there, this is just my opinion). Not so odd is the pho...its just....there. It's not terrific-blow-your-socks-off pho, but it isn't bad, either. In a pinch, it will do. Vegetable pho is about $6.50 and one size. The broth is A-OK, nothing special. I've been here three times and each time it's just alright. The vegetarian summer rolls are also just OK for $4.75. I was a bit surprised to find hard tofu slices in the summer rolls, but it was a nice surprise since I like tofu. Not such a nice surprise was my last bill at Pho King. I ordered the Vegetable pho and asked if they had a Veggie Tofu Pho like the one at Bale. I was told they could do that for me. What they neglected to tell me was they tacked on $2.00 for it. Still, for $8.75 it was a decent meal but nothing to write home about. Wish they told me it would cost extra. If I had to go for Pho again in West Oahu, I'd more than likely hit Cuu Long in Aiea first and then Bale if further West. Pho King is just a one-day quickie for desperate times. Wham Bam Thank You Pho King; thank you for an average romp in noodle land. YAWN. Can I go to sleep now?

Hmmm...Wahiawa has a lot of good eats, and relatively cheap as well. There's so much to choose from (at least in a town this size) that it's important to figure out what mood you are in. I'm going to be completely honest and tell you that I chose this place to eat based on the name alone....I mean C'MON!!! PHO KING? It lends itself to so many jokes, like...I love Pho King, I love Pho King all day long as long as I'm on top or behind! :) I bet they make 50%+ of their income alone based on people who just want to say they ate at a place called Pho King But getting back to the food. To be honest I feel like I've had better in town, Pho Bistro on Kalakaua and another I forgot the name of near Waialae and 12th Street come to mind. Their broth isn't super amazing, and their meat (at least the pho with the regular rare steak, I didn't try flank/tendon/tripe/meatballs/etc) was only okay. They do have a ton of fresh vegetables/sprouts/basil/etc, but a lot of places have that. And their lumpia/spring rolls were okay, but nothing to scream about either. Add that to the fact that you can only choose one size bowl of Pho, and I have to knock it down to 3 stars. Definitely okay to get that Pho fix if you happen to be in the Wahiawa area. I'm not sure I'll go back any time soon, but if I'm feeling the Viet Pho bug I may check it out and give them another chance. Or Saigon Express instead, that place is supposed to be good.

Pho What!! Pho King is a great little place for Pho when your in the Mililani area and don't want to drive alll the way to Waipahu for town. There veggies always seem fresh and we come here a handful of times. Broth is light and flavorful =) They make their own Thai Tea!!! Yes!! One you have this you will never drink one from a bottle ever again!!

Despite a really cool phonetically intriguing name, this place didn't live up to the hype of a 4 star pho restaurant. First off, it took them over 15 minutes to get our food to us...that's usually the same amount of time it takes at the normal pho restaurant for me to get my food, eat it, pay for it, and to leave. Second, their use of dark meat instead of white meat in their chicken pho actually detracted from the dish because i thought it disturbed the flavor of the broth. Also, visually, it just wasn't as appetizing. Two things that make pho restaurants great: Fast service, good broth. For me, it was a veto on both. Happy Eating!

Huge servings of pho, plenty of fresh bean sprouts and thai basil to go in your soup. They have tasty bubble drinks. The employees are ridiculously nice. The prices are very inexpensive, even for mainland prices. We used to come here all the time but now we have moved away. There will never be another pho place like you, Pho King!

Service was terrible. Glass stayed bone dry for far too long. Food took too long to get to my table. I waited and watched the servers just talk to each other after looking me in the eye for at least 3 or 4 minutes when trying to pay for my meal. It was extremely irritating. The food, though, wasn't bad. I've had better broth, but it was decent. I will probably go back because of convenience but I will only get to go from now on.

I went here today to get a bubble drink, I was looking for milk tea but they only had powdered flavors so i just stuck with Taro. When i pulled into the parking lot i was actually scared for my safety, its super ghetto and it crossed my mind to leave before i even got out of my truck!! But i really wanted to see if this place had something going for them, so I got out and went in. The place is small, its deff family owned and as a white girl i was very out of place and i don't think treated very well because of it. I walked up, waited for someone to finally walk to the register and ordered. It took about 5 slow minutes of awkward silence before i got my drink, of course i watched them make it and its powder with some milk in it, so these are not natural flavors, then again most good sweet taro flavor comes from a powder so i don't judge! I quickly left and jumped in my truck and took a sip, it was nothing exceptional, it was average to say the least and the boba was mostly frozen which was awful. I suggest going somewhere like Hula Boba in Kepolei or even Lindliz which has a store in the next shopping center over from Pho King as well as a truck on schofield usually at the PX. I will not be returning.

So if you've read my review on Saigon Noodle House 3.. you would know that I was desperately craving pho and the BF convinced me to try that place out. That was on a Friday. It's now Saturday. I'm STILL craving pho. I want to go to Chinatown, but other circumstances require that the BF and I stay at the house... so I'm stuck (again!). I want to drive to Chinatown to get pho but we need to be close to the house... so he convinces me to go to Pho King (his brother loves this place!)... and for my weakness and love of pho, I agree. Located in one of the shopping centers in Wahiawa, near Foodland with ample parking. The restaurant has about 15 tables and is kinda cramped. It was a little warm inside (to me). I vaguely recall the last time I was here... and all I remember is that it wasn't memorable. The menu is the same as most other Vietnamese noodle shops. We ordered our regular: meatball pho with extra meatballs. We also ordered spring rolls (with vermicelli and veggies... you only get TWO spring rolls by the way for almost $7 I think)... so we added 2 more spring rolls. Service: The young guy at the register was super friendly! He answered all my questions and was very patient with us. When he brought out our food (we took it to go) everything was neatly packaged and he explained which container was what. 1 star for great customer service! It was easy to order and the wait wasn't very long. So another star for that! And again, onto the food. This really reminds me of my review for Saigon Noodle House 3. The spring roll wrapper was THICK. I mean chewy thick! The spring rolls were kinda overcooked and there wasn't much flavor to them. They provided a small amount of vermicelli to wrap it in. Definitely not worth the price! (plus we added an extra 2 rolls remember?!) The pho was... okay. The broth was a little darker than Saigon Noodle House 3. There is only one size of take out pho, and the noodles are SMALL in quantity! I swear other noodle places give DOUBLE the amount for a regular order! I was like whaaaaa aren't the noodles the cheapest item?! So, again, I ate a few bites of noodles and all my meatballs, and that was about it. I did have SOME broth. Sadly, two nights in a row of mediocre pho. Oh, and we spent almost $30 at this place! (which for the amount of food we got... value is waaaay better in Chinatown!) BUT, give it a try, because you may like it! Needless to say... Sunday night we made sure we had time to have pho in Chinatown at my fave place... and my BF knows better than to ask me to eat pho anywhere else from now on! Humph...

It's pretty good pho considering it is in Wahiawa. I rarely venture there, only pass through. My friend suggested we try it all because the name caught his attention. I wasn't expecting much because first of all it is in Wahiawa. Second, the place isn't clean. I almost lost my slipper because it was stuck to the floor. We got our Pho King menus fast, but we already knew what we wanted, and we both ordered the Pho King chicken pho. We didn't have to wait long and our food arrived. The portions are good and the chicken wasn't small shreds, but nice chucks. I ain't gonna lie, but size matters. Prices are reasonable. I'll probably be back again. Oh, and they do have shirts for sale... "I *heart* PhoKing" - gotta love their sense of humor!

Absolutely amazing place! Will be back very soon! Was my first time trying pho and I fell in love. Think I found my new obsession. Service was great. The waitress must know their food is spicy since she kept refilling our waters at least 5 times without asking. I ordered the beef pho and also a side order of spring rolls. All the ingredients were so fresh. Great food and service. I will be back!

We were introduced to this place by some friends - otherwise, we may have never tried it! I'm so glad we did - the pho is delicious and the lumpia is outstanding! These are huge helpings, so my husband always has leftovers to take to work. I recommend the beef pho!

This is a great place for Pho. We have been eating here for several months and have come to appreciate their consistency and friendliness. We have tried nearly every type, from seafood, to tripe, to tendon. The brisket is very tender. Overall outstanding experiences.

Pho king... another great rainy day to test out another pho place.. how i only now ate here and i have lived within 2 miles of this place all my life... is beyond me... but.... their spring rolls are great along with their thai tea which is made there apparently and very delicious. fresh veggies.. broth was a little heavier(darker/heavier in flavor) than i am used to. not sure if i liked it or not.. but it was ok. servings were pretty normal sized and the price was a little more than if you were to get some pho in town or something. our waitress was very good, she seemed on top of everything. but overall i guess this was just an "ok" place in my book.. i will come again.

I'm always sad when I have to downgrade my reviews...but I think I owe it to be honest and share my feedback. I always come here and I normally really love this place but the last 2 times that i have dined here, I have been rather disappointed with the end result. The flavors of the broth were just fine. Maybe that's the beginning of the problem? They are just fine...not great, not yummy, not delicious. I dont know what happened? Is it that I have found other places that have better tasting broth? I really dont know! Then, it's the quality of the food. I always order the chicken pho since I dont eat red meat anymore. Im not a super crazy dietary restricted person, I go for meat broths, etc...I just work around the whole red meat/pork issue.Anyhoo...They are using chicken thigh meat, which normally isnt a big deal. I like thigh meat! It has more flavor and tends to be more juicy and tender than breast meat. I just dont appreciate half cooked major chunks of thigh meat. The end result is chicken that is chewy, fatty and not very texture pleasing. I wish they would more thinly slice the chicken to make it easier to cook and to help improve its' presentation in the dish (or bowl, as the case may be). Lastly, I used to come here and enjoy grabbing a tapioca dessert. now, they seem to be so dry and just not fresh. What happened? Are they not selling as many as they used to? I order these on my last 2 visits and they seemed really dry and just not good. :( I still love the family owned establishment. They are great people and work so hard at what they do...mucho mahalos for that...Just wish that they would fine tune the small details.

Curiousity killed the cat.... well at least not today. Out of curiousity of a sign posted outside this tiny restaurant led me here. What did that sign say? "I love Pho King" I did a double take. Hmmm. How can this humble abode claim to be the KING of Pho? People have told me that my curiousity will get me in trouble one of these days. But, that day has not come yet....or will it today? A little pricier than pho places in town or Chinatown ($8.95 for rare steak & tendon), they only offer one size. I was expecting a size fit for a King, but its more in line between a medium and large in town. Rare steak was gristle free and tendon was without any excessive fatty edges - good. The broth was darker than what I am used to and had a strong beefy flavor, almost reminded me of ox tail soup - it was ok. Veggies: Basil, saw leafs, bean sprouts, and peppers were all fresh. The young lady running the front counter, taking orders, and serving food did a great job. Glasses of water never ran dry she and checked on us as well as the four other groups there all by herself. While service here was great, I cannot crown this place as King of Pho purely based on food alone. There are many other great offerings, unfortunately those are 20 miles away in town. So did curiosity kill the cat? Not today. The cat lives on.

The best Pho this side of the island. Ask for an updated take out menu as the one posted on the internet is outdated. Orders can usually be ready in 15-20 minutes. We love the: Lemongrass chicken/garlic shrimp plate, & spring rolls, any pho soup. Love the heaping servings of veggies on the plates & soup.

Hungry family and we were craving pho- and we were definitely not from the area which looked pretty shady. Food was decent. Ordered the BBQ chicken& lemon chicken- generous serving for the price and compared to other similar restaurants. Pho was okay. Steaming hot with a ton of noodles and beef, I'm satisfied. Broth was decently fLavored.

If it was a little cleaner, I'd give it 5 stars.. But whaddya expect, it's in Wahiawa. Portions are great. Food is great. Broth is up to par. The waitress is readily available. I'd have to say it's my #2 spot. and thats big. A whole lot better than pho bistro, pho waipahu, and certainly better than cuu long.

Had lunch here today- all was okay. Good service, okay food and atmosphere. I had a green papaya salad (one of my favorites), but it was served dry with the sauce on the side and it was very light on garnish (almost ALL papaya and carrot- barely any herbs, peanuts, or shrimp). The bf had shrimp bun, which was fine, nothing special. The Thai tea was legit, but I'm not rushing back anytime soon...

I actually stopped here as a last minute resort to quench my cravings for Vietnamese food. Because of the fact the restaurant is in Wahiawa, I didn't expect anything too fancy. As I walked into this family owned restaurant, I first noticed that the waitress was not as jovial as I would have liked yet, she was prompt and professional. The waitresses' mother is actually the main cook at the restaurant. I ordered my normal which is Combination Pho without the tripe and double tendon. I was quite surprised how good the pho was actually. They give VERY generous cuts of meat which are boiled very tender and the soup was very good (AND the veggies were very fresh). My favorite pho restaurant is actually Mylan in Downtown Chinatown. But they can't beat the amount of beef these guys put in their soup...Awesome... ONLY drawback of eating here... The containers that hold the hoisin sauce I find to be quite sticky with dust and residue that has settled on them over time. They should clean these items a little better :-/ other than that, pretty good Pho but NOT the cleanest place to eat...

I was feeling under the weather, and nothing makes me feel better than some steaming hot pho. I turned to Yelp to find the nearest pho joint to Mililani, and it came up with Pho King. The name alone made me want to check it out. The place is in a Wahiawa strip mall, next door to a laundromat, and is pretty non-descript, outside and in. It rivals any hole-in-the-wall in Chinatown for... "character." But, on a weekday, it was packed (lots of military folks in uniform), and we still had to wait for an available table. A good sign? Absolutely. As usual we had the combination beef pho, meat outside, and it was perfect and delicious. Everything seemed fresh, the colors vibrant, and while I'm no pho connoisseur, the broth was just right. Not oily, not cloudy, not overly salty or heavily seasoned. I crave pho quite often, especially on cool, rainy, winter days, and I think I've found another of my favorite pho joints on Oahu.

Im so happy i finally got to try this place. We rarely get to visit Wahiawa, traffic is a real buzzkill. Husband was sick and what better place to kill germs than with Pho broth?! We normally go to Pho Bistro in Waipahu, but in a attemp to find a reason to not visit my inlaws after we ate ( they live 5mins away) i dragged him to Pho King. The bowl size is huge and the broth was pretty on point. It does have a diffrent taste the lingers, cant describe it but i was impressed. The meat to noodle to soup ratio was perfect but some of the meat was alittle tough. The spring rolls were $6? there was 2 rolls cut in half but they seemed a tad bit larger than the places that serve 3 rolls cut in half for $5. i may skip that next visit, but the Iced coffee was strong and not too sweet which is how i like it. I can believe that the restaurant can get crowded at lunch time or peak dinner. theres maybe 6 4-tops and 1 6-top. Price wise was average. 2 pho (only 1size), 1 spring roll, 1 iced coffee,1pepsi,1 bumpersticker (if your saying pho correctly and you have a dirty mind the sticker is like gold), and tip..total was $38.

Okay, I already have a favorite pho place, but this place is a close second I have to say. And for being a pho place in Wahiawa, I was pleasantly surprised on how good their pho is. They have a nice broth and their portions are very generous. Especially with the amount of meat they put in the bowl!! I like the generous portion of meat :) Whenever we are in Wahiawa and craving pho, this is the place to go!!

I go here at least twice a month. The further up h2 you go you start to run out of options on where to eat. This is definitely the place to go for Pho when you're evading towards the north shore. It is never too busy, the waitstaff are extremely friendly and you can get takeout if you're ever in a rush.

You can't help but snicker when you say Pho King, and being a very "pun"ny guy, I always try to find ways to bring up Pho King in everyday conversation. So, comedic appeal aside, let's discuss what they serve up, which is a damn good bowl of pho. To those unfamiliar with pho, it is a rice noodle soup with a beef and onion based broth and originates from Vietnam. I first tried my first bowl of pho a few years ago and have been hooked on the stuff ever since. Price may seem steep, at $7.75 a bowl, but it's standard for most pho joints and is well worth it here. Usually comes served with a fresh helping of bean sprouts, basil, lemon/lime, jalapenos and a bunch of assorted sauces on the side. My favorite combination of sauces are hoisin sauce and Sriracha for a spicy kick. Meat choices are beef slices, beef balls, brisket, or chicken. I've seen a seafood option at some places, but this is not meant to be eaten with anything from the ocean, in my opinion. My choice of meat is usually the beef balls, or a combination of beef slices and balls. They are really consistent with the quickness and quality of the food. There are also rice dishes like lemongrass chicken and they also serve summer rolls and spring rolls. I definitely recommend the spring rolls. It's a really nice compliment to the pho. The food comes out pretty quick and the water service is usually top notch. I recommend the visit at least once, especially if you're in the area or passing it.

Terrific food and outstanding customer service. Every single person I have dealt with in this place is friendly and helpful! I LOVE going here and have been here at least 5 times in the past 6 weeks. The plain pho is my favorite along with any of their sandwiches. My kids love it, too - the servings are generous and they go out of their way to make sure you are happy.

I go past here ALL the time on the way to the Goodwill (yay, bargains!) and finally tried it. Actually, the main reason for going was to buy my husband one of their rad t-shirts (I love Pho King! Hello! Of course he does!) after I'd seen someone in town wearing one. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, though I'd read some decent reviews here. Trying to maintain my "low carb lifestyle," I got a salad with chicken on top and it was yummy--especially once I doctored it up with some of the available sauces. There were no sketchy, gag-inducing pieces of chicken, which is always a good test. We also shared some shrimp summer rolls, which were decent--peanut sauce was pretty good--and some veggie/tofu summer rolls--also alright. My mom got the papaya salad, which she said was really tasty, and my dad said his bowl of fatty flank pho was one of the better he's had. The prices were fair, service really friendly, and the vibe was cool--sort of dive-ish, in a good way, family-oriented. I think we were the only haoles in there for lunch; it was more local and military--basically like the whole shopping center. We'll be back for sure, and will represent with the I LOVE PHO KING! tee. :) Finish off your meal with the iced cafe (get it to go!). OMG. So smooth and strong, it's like chocolate. EDIT: Two words: Shrimp Curry. Yum. I've had to start calling this "The King of Pho" with my kids. It was just too weird hearing them say "Let's go to Pho King!" and I feel strange being like "Mmmm! Pho King! Pho King! Yay!" to them. So Pho King difficult. ;)

Thee best PHO I have ever had....everything I ate there so far has been great. My favorite is the Brisket Pho. Good sized portions and tastes amazing! The broth they have is delicious. I had pho from 3 other places and Pho King is exceptionally better. Service is friendly and prices are fair. I recommend a pho lover to definitely test this place out!

I was in the area during lunch time and my wife suggested I try this place based on the other reviews below. Not a bad place at all! It was an overcast, drizzly kind of day in Wahiawa so I went with the Beef Pho for $7.25. Although they didn't provide a lot of beef, the portions were good overall. The large bowl was filled to the brim with soup, green onion, and noodles with a hint of cilantro. The side plate of sprouts, basil, jalapeno, and lime was fresh and refreshing. The broth was light and receptive to condiment use, and once I got the hoisin sauce and other flavors together, it was both tasty and fulfilling. In addition to pho, they offer basic rice dishes like lemongrass chicken and garlic shrimp starting at $6.50. I'll definitely return the next time I have a craving for pho and to sample the other menu items.

Excuse me what did you say....PHO KING! Oh ok, its a restaurant. Located in Wahiawa on California Avenue in the shopping center with Foodland. The name just makes you want to go and check it out. I was expecting alot since many of my friends said it was good. I judge a Pho place based on the soup. I would have say that I was pleasantly surprised with the soup. It wasnt salty and it was full of flavor. I ordered the Chicken Pho, which had large pieces of chicken. WOW! This is not typical for many Pho places. The veggies were fresh....from the basil to the lemons. The establishment is typical for Wahiawa. They have a new sign on the outside to add to its appeal but I do have to caution about the floors. Im not sure if they just removed some type of flooring, but it was sticky concrete. I did notice that this place was crowed and many people didnt notice it as much as I did. One thing that I really loved was the hot sauce. I liked it so much, I had to ask them if they would sell me some. After consulting with her boss, the waitress allowed me to buy some to take home. Im guessing not many people make sure a strange request, but then again its me so not a surprise. One size bowl....and its priced for $7.75 which is reasonable considering earlier in the week, I spent $8.50 for a small bowl at another place. So if your in the Wahiawa area, go check this place out.

My wife and I rarely eat out, but when we do it's usually at Pho King. It's a family run business with great tasting food (vietnamese), good size portions and very reasonably priced. Service is always fast, friendly and there puddings and bubble drinks are also good. The only thing it lacks is atmosphere, but it is very clean. As my friend says, it's Pho King good!

one thing is for certain, i'll never forget the name of this place. they're bloody marketing geniuses. it's the closest place for me to cure my pho craving. if you're like me, you can eat it for breakfast, dessert or any meal in between. i always get the chicken pho for takeout and they do a killer job of packing it for the car ride. the broth is tasty like it's been brewing for a while and they give you a lot of fixins, although not enough peppers for my taste. wish the chicken was slightly higher quality, but hey, it's only like $7 for a huge bowl o' pho, so no complaints. service is good and quick. the ambiance leaves something to be desired, so i'll continue with my takeout. oh, and they do sell shirts with their namesake printed on them.

My coworkers and i make it a tradition to eat here weekly. Its very affordable for what you get. I started off getting the chicken pho but they also offer a bbq chicken flavor and that is my favorite now. The chicken portion is very generous as are the side veggies of sprouts, fresh basil, cilantro and broth. I love adding both the siracha and fresh chili pepper condiment that they offer on the table. Another really tasty item from this restaurant is their thai tea with pearls or without. Its very flavorful and sweet and always hits the spot. Yes, the restaurants appearance inside is very low budget and can benefit from a makeover but that never stops us from eating the food here and loving the pho!

Second time eating at this place. Technically, its my third time here (met some friends to drop off xmas gifts last week). But anywho, here's my review. Man, this place is Pho King great! I've been living in Wahiawa for over 6 years and I remember coming here for the first (and last) time when I first moved here. The place was at best, questionable. It was dark, ghetto-ey, the service sucked, and the food wasnt too great. I think I ordered some summer rolls and I dont think I finished them. So that was then. A friend calls me up and says she wants to drops some gifts off and they were going to eat lunch at Pho King... she always eats there. I was like, what?! Are you kidding me?! That place is dirty! Well, knowing her as a pretty picky and clean person made me wonder. So we met them at the restaurant, I walk in and was astonished on how nice it is in there. The food on everyone's table looked awesome. I was like, dang, is there a new owner to this place? ...and there is. Actually the new owners have been there for about 3 years now. Where the hell was I? Probably still pissed off about the raunchy summer rolls I had a couple years back... yes, I hold a grudge. So, there I was going to Longs last night with my family and thought, what the hell, lets go to Pho King. Walked in, sat us down, and got a high chair for my little monster (who BTW, kept on yelling at her to get her attention and whenever she looked he waved to her - he's such a mack, I swear). Anyway, we ordered 2 orders of summer rolls, 1 order spring rolls, and the lemon grass/bbq chicken combo. Man, they were great. The peanut sauce that comes with the summer rolls are the bomb. Both chickens were very flavorful, not dry, or over/under cooked. I was so full, even when my wife and I shared everything, oh, and my monster was grinding too. I even ordered a coconut-tapioca pudding to go... good call on that one chief! Service was great and the restaurant is pretty clean and well taken cared of. When I was walking out I thought I heard my stomach say, "good choice Pho-ker, good choice... we're coming back right?" ...most definitely... "hell yeah Pho-ker, hell yeah..."

Why 5 stars? Because this place has the best Pho King name! Additionally, it also has the most Pho King phenomenal lemongrass chicken sandwich. Yes it's pretty Pho King awesome. What? I'm beating a dead horse? If you don't like it you can get yourself some other Pho King reviews. Or just get the Pho shrimp, just one of the many excellent menu choices available. The Pho of course is pretty decent and they have canned Thai tea! Yay Cha Yen. Haven't had a bad meal yet, and it's only steps away from Good Will! You won't know how much you might like it till you give Pho King a try.

Came here twice now and I say this is one of the few places places I would go to in Wahiawa. One of the things that drew me in was because of the name and second I saw another viet restaurant with the same name located in San Diego. Its a small restaurant located on California and next to Foodland. I've ordered twice to go and the wait time was around 7mins. The last thing I ordered when I was here was a Lemongrass chicken. I took it to work opened it, poured the sauce all over the food and I devoured the whole thing after taking the first bite. This is a good place to go to if your in Wahiawa and feeling like getting some viet food. I give this place 4stars.

Came here for lunch cause the rain was coming down HARD and it was chilly outside. Food: We ordered the Summer rolls, Papaya Salad, and the Garlic Shrimp Pho. The summer rolls were good but nothing that I would rave about. The papaya salad was kind of bland. But the Pho, was pretty good. Im not much into brothy meals but I would definately come back for the Pho. The side of vegetables were generous and looked very clean (really important factor for me). The cashier served as our server and she seemed very busy, especially since it was lunch time. Every table was full, plus a couple of people waiting for tables. I saw some tables sit unbussed for a long time before they were clean. The two women in the back were cooking their butts off trying to get everyone served. Would I come back? YES I would. Food was awesome and for a Pho restaurant, they did very well!

Tight space and everything was in english. But the pho was on point! The soup was tasty all on it's own. They give you lots of veggies. It would of got 5 stars but the seating was too close to each other.

After eating here more frequently, I've grown very fond of the food and service. Everything comes quick and it's consistently delicious. The spring rolls and beef Pho are so yummy and great for hangovers. It's the best Pho I've eaten on this side of the island. In my previous review, I mentioned the tofu Pho and vegetarian roll. I haven't ordered those things since. Although the tofu is cooked in a special spice, it isn't something I'd prefer over plain tofu. Maybe you can request it plain, I haven't tried.

I've been here a few times and today I was disappointed. They only have one size Pho so you would think that the one size would be a fair portion. But of course they have to be cheap about it. They put the same amount of noodles as in a packet of Top Ramen. Very disappointed. I asked the employee and her answer was "that's the way we always do it". As I've eaten here before I knew that was a lie. This may be my last time here. Soup wasn't that strong today either. I don't know why they would cut there portions. Bad for business.

Still like Pho Bistro 2 better...but when in Wahiawa, check out this "Vietnamese restaurant next to Foodland". Sounds vulgar if you try saying the restaurant's name, yeah? Frequented by locals and Army soldiers alike, we snagged a table before the lunch rush. Good thing, the place started to fill up as noon approached. Tasty beef noodle soup with a clear, slightly salty broth that could be hotter (temperature wise) and decent green papaya salad and veggie bahn mi. Lots of fresh bean sprouts and Thai basil, too. Price hike effective 1 April 2011, but what isn't pricey in Hawai'i anymore? Will be back.

This happens to be one of only two Pho Restaraunts on the island that I visit regularly...bonus, it's near my home in Wahiawa. The staff is always friendly and since I'm there quite often they remember what I like to order, but still ask to be sure that's what I want. Lunch time is always busy, but even then they are very attentive and food is always outstanding.

I REAAAAALLLY wanted pho for some reason. So we drove past Foodland and there is was a big red sign that said Pho King. We walked in and got take out. The lady who took my order was really nice and unlike some places, she spoke perfect English! I ordered Spring Rolls & Beef Noodle Pho. She asked if I wanted just the thin meat or if I wanted the small meat balls too. I really liked the spring rolls, but there was only 2, it complimented the pho nicely. The pho was okay, somedays it's tastier than other times. On the bright side the bowl they gave me was huge that when I was full it didn't even look like I touched the bowl. I think for all that I ordered it came out to be $19. I LOVE THE STRAWBERRY BUBBLE DRINKS!!! Ooooooh so yummy! :]

Not that great. It's alright for a whole in the wall joint. OMG .. Do NOT use their bathroom. I was so scared using their bathroom. Its tucked in the back of their storage room. I had to ask my bf to come with, lol. Go to chinatown for good pho.

This place is super affordable, but it doesn't mean the quality of the food is bad. The workers are very friendly and the food comes out fast. The menu is huge, the items are numbered and I believe there are like 80-something selections. Their pho is really good. I always get the combo which has tripe, meat balls, meat, and tendons. They definitely don't skimp on the meat or the noodles. The broth is on the lighter side, but it helps to not make the meal feel so heavy. I have also tried the seafood pho. It has garlic fried shrimp in it. YUMMY! When I'm not in the mood for pho, there are a lot of other choices as well. Their chicken curry is amazing. I could just eat a huge bowl of the curry "gravy" and rice! I've also tried their pork chops. They are tender and flavored perfectly.

If you're horny for some Vietnamese food, come here. Pho King awesome! Had beef pho for lunch today and it hit the spot. Flavorful broth and ample portions. Veggies were crisp, fresh & abundant. Waitress was friendly enough. A wonderful happy ending to an otherwise so-so day.

Pho is really good but the service is sooooo sloooow. The restaurant is a hole in the wall and has about 8 tables and 4 were seated including mine. 2 tables were already eating (pho) before I ordered and were ordered pho (of course) And spring rolls. First of all, it took 15 minutes for them to bring out the vegetable plate....wth? Were they picking it from their garden? Then after 20 minutes we got our Spring rolls. We're they rolling them from scratch? Then at 25 minutes we finally got our pho. How hard is it to put noodles in a bowl and pour broth on it? Especially when it's the main thing you serve and what people order most! Hell your name is Pho King! paying at the register i ordered a manapua which regrettably I asked them to microwave and it took another five minutes to get that! 2 minutes to nuke it and another three to remember to give it to me. Bottom line food was good but I know from the literally hundreds of times I eat pho that the broth stays heated in the pot and all they gotta do is put the noodles in the bowl and pour the broth on. Slow service.

Wow! Really? Another great place in Wahiawa to eat. Mililani really needs to step up their game, because they may have a nicer neighborhood, but they're food selection is horrible. Ok, let's start off with the name.... pho-king! Who doesn't love pho-king? I can tell you now, I love pho-king. Well, I loved pho-king before I've even been to this establishment. So, its located in in the same shopping complex as Foodland or longs... its right in the middle. I ordered the beef and tendon pho ($8.95) which only comes in one size (disappointment). This is really expensive for pho, it really shouldn't be this expensive. Flavor of the broth was good, it was not oily, and the vegetables were really fresh. I like my pho with lime, but they gave us lemons... no big deal. When we first walked in it was ridiculously crowded, but luckily one table open for us. I'm not sure if they take reservations, but maybe it would be a good idea to make one if you're coming during busy hours. I will most definitely come back, since Mililani does not have a pho restaurant, even if the price is "not" right.

What the pho? Maybe I came on a bad day, but the pho was very forgettable. Broth was kinda weak, and the meat was overcooked and not the best quality. I would love a good pho place in Central Oahu, but this does not meet the standard. Maybe I should give it a second try...

Discovered this place in 2007 when I was a few months pregnant and craving pho. It was so delicious that I went back almost every day (maybe it was due to pregnancy cravings). The waitress there was very nice and she remembered what my husband and I wanted all the time. Sadly I now live too far from there :-(

This Pho place is LEGIT. I ordered beef combo and shrimp rolls and it came out within 5 minutes. The amount was more than fair and it was delicious. I think It's going to be hard for me to find better pho place like this Oahu. By the way, you can go grab ice cream afterwards from Baskin Robbins 31 next door.

This is one of my favorite places to eat pho! The broth is super tasty and the staff (usually just the one girl at the front) is always really friendly. Veggies are always fresh and food is always ready when I call ahead. Decor could def use a makeover but the pho makes up for it!!

The neighborhood Pho place. The broth is perfect and they give lots of fixings. The rest of the food is great too, but I always go straight to the pho. Please don't leave Wahiawa Pho King!

  • Robert K.

I rated this a 5 star because I really like the broth, we live in Wahiawa and eat there frequently. The broth is so flavorful that it made me want to go to some other Pho restaurants to see how they made theirs. Sadly I was disappointed to find out that out of the 2 other restaurants I have tried the broth just didn't compare. Another thing is the amount of veggies, Pho King gives you plenty while some others gave very little. Other places had some pro such as larger bowls with more noodles but it still doesn't compete to me. I would have to agree with Niki K in that you don't really have to add much if anything at all to the Pho because it really is that yummy.
