Third day on the island. Best meal yet. I leave both impressed and satisfied. Teri Beef and shrimp was excellent from the standpoint of both taste and price. The few words I shared with the large Hawaiian cook were genuine and pleasant. Overall thumbs up and great Hawaiian food.

Lum's has always been the go to place for lunch when they were still in Mililani, and I was so sad that they left because I thought they closed down, not knowing they moved to Wahiawa. I am so glad that they are still pumping out good food cause it is very rare for me when I can take a bite into something and it brings back memories of my childhood, all the times we use to cruise at the bicycle shop across from there, riding bikes with all the friends, and asking my mom for money so I can go buy a Teri chicken plate, I just got home after purchasing 2 Teri chicken plates, one for now and the other for an early dinner.

Our first visit here. Excellent food and service! We ordered mix plate, breaded scallops and hamburger steak - all tasted great. We will be back for sure!

Lum's Inn is a hole-in-the-wall joint located on Kilani Avenue, across from the new Golden Coin location, and right next to Kilani Bakery. There's a few stalls along the front of the restaurant. Can be a pain to reverse out when Wahiawa traffic gets busy. The inside of Lum's has a few tables inside and outside, but it gets hot, even with the fans going. Nothing flashy about the place, just straight up local grinds. In my opinion, Lum's Inn has the best shoyu chicken I've tasted on the island. I'm still testing other restaurant's shoyu chicken dishes, but Lum's is the best. It's only on daily specials (as of 10/23/14, it's been Mon, Wed, Sat, I believe), but definitely get on it. The next thing I recommend is the teri beef and teri chicken. If I can't get the Shoyu Chicken, I'm on to those (combo!). The Hawaiian Plate special that they have is good too...maybe one time the lau lau was small kine dry. I just wish they'd serve lomi lomi salmon with it! Oh, the beef curry and beef stew are pretty great too. That comes up on daily specials as well. There are some "eh" dishes. (and this is me personally) This is when I decided to branch out of my Shoyu Chicken addiction. I've had the chicken adobo special and just...no. It was way too salty, couldn't even finish it. Maybe that was just a bad batch. I was sad, b/c I had high hopes. But yeah, maybe bad batch that day. The chicken long rice I got one time was SUPER PEPPAH CHICKEN LONG RICE, but yeah, maybe that was just that one time. Sometimes the fries have a weird film on them. My co-worker got them once and she complained about it. I sampled, and yeah. Was kinda eh. I would've given it 3 stars, but THE SHOYU CHICKEN pushes it up to a four. OH, and the butter mochi they have at the register (FYI - it's a separate cash-only transaction for them, but seriously, so good). I'd do 3 and a half stars, if I could. Lum's Inn is ol' dependable for me. Maybe I'll try out something other than shoyu chicken and teri beef/chicken after reading these other reviews. :)

Good place for a cheap plate lunch! I love that they accept credit cards. No air conditioning though. I had the grilled cheese (delish), fries (awesome), and a lumpia (random but tasty). My husband had their mixed plate with beef stew, shoyu chicken, and roast pork (the barnyard special as I call it). He said it was tasty. I'd come back for the fries alone. They're fresh cut fries and fried on site with the skin on. It costs under $3. Way better than the pre-frozen fries at other plate lunch places! You'd pay triple for these fries downtown.

If you love anything teri, this is the place to come to. They sell local kine plate lunches, bentos, sandwiches, fresh cut homemade fries and desserts ( butter mochi and chocolate chip cookies. For your convenience, they sell uncooked marinated meats and their famous teri sauce. This little inn is located in Wahiawa next to Kilani Bakery. There are limited stalls in front of the inn. I ordered the mini teri chicken plate. The teri chicken came with a scoop of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. The teri chicken was very tender, juicy and drenched in Lum's yummy homemade teri sauce. This teri chicken was the best I've ever tasted. It had the perfect balance of sweet and salty. On the side, we ordered their famous fresh cut french fries. It was a generous portion size. The fries were airy, light and just right. The fries were not greasy and heavy at all. All in all, I enjoyed my dining experience at Lum's Inn. Next time, I will have to buy a bottle of their teri sauce to take home. Go try this place...you'll love it. Eat whatever comes in their teri sauce.

So If your a huge fan of local Hawaiian food then this is a place you have to check out. It's a small hole in a wall place in Wahiawa that never has long lines and are super friendly. For those that are military, they offer 10% military discount. Not a lot of room for parking but they do have some in front of the restaurant. Seating is pretty limited too but it's never too packed so it's never been an issue for me. Friend recommended this place to me and I'm glad I went. You can't go wrong with their specials. It's affordable and delicious. I ordered the Chicken Katsu with the Mac Salad. I am a sucker for Hawaiian Mac Salad. I will definitely come back to this place again.

My mom recommended Lum's chicken katsu, so I knew I would have come and check it out during my visit back home. Lum's is a small eatery on Kilani Ave near the hospital. It has only 4 parking stalls and 4 tables so their business is mostly take out. In addition to plate lunches and sandwiches, they have a set of rotating daily specials. You can get brown rice instead of white. Ordered a mini katsu, the breading and the crunch were pretty much as advertised - ono! Good portions and good price, I'm pretty content. Glad to find another mom and pop place to eat! Someplace to repeat and recommend!

Super nice family run business. Everyone was so nice and accommodating in helping us choose what to order and explaining the plates. My whole party enjoyed the food and we even got free dessert! It's definitely more of a take-out place, as theres isn't much room to sit inside. Highly recommended if you are in the area!

We ordered their regular sized teri beef and fried shrimp (came w/2 little pieces) and fried beef cutlet w/gravy plate lunch. The plate lunches came with 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. You order, and the cook it right in front of you. The lady who took our order was really nice. The fried items were very crispy, but the shrimp and beef were tiny.

Between the food, the staff, & the portions, I'm totally in love with Lum's, and I always try to stop here when I'm in the area (as long as I have cash)! Though everything here has always been good (pork cutlet, teri chicken, etc), their hamburger steak is something really special, especially when slathered with their beautiful, flavorful brown gravy. And I'm not usually a fan of hamburger steak! The thick-cut fries are awesome too--I GOTTA sub fries for rice here!!--and again, it's just that much better when covered or dipped in the gravy. Another great surprise is their mac salad, which has just the right tang, texture, and overall yumminess. Occasionally I put the gravy on that too...heck, might as well live it up!

we went here based on recommendations, It is a definitely a local place we went with 5 of us & really hard to eat in. Better for taking out. The teriyaki beef & chicken were great!

Another great find for island food on the west side of Oahu! There's so many hole-in-the-wall type joints on this island and I loooove that. I went with the yelp tippers and got the hamburger steak with rice and Mac salad. For one, the Mac salad was delicious. Probably the best I've had so far that I've been here. The hamburger steak was pretty perfect. The hamburger patty wasn't tough or chewy, but soft and tender. The gravy was soooo good! The whole meal just felt like a genuine island style plate lunch, which is what I was in the mood for. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. Service was also very polite and quick. Doesn't seem very promising when you step in, but it's sure worth it!

I had a very reasonably priced grilled mahi plate. That plate of mahi would have been at least 15-16 bucks in honolulu. It was 9 bucks and fresh. Nice people and great food. I will eat here again for sure. Teriyaki fries are off the hook good. Amazing.

  • Aaron G.

Stopped here based on Yelp for our final meal before flying back to mainland. Hole I. The wall type place, no wait when we arrived at 12:45 on a Wednesday. I had the Teri Chicken and my SO had the Teri Beef. Generous portion with huge scoops of rice and macaroni salad. The chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful, the macaroni salad was good and the rice was rice. The beef also had good flavor but I actually liked the chicken better, i usually don't order chicken but decided to try it. Nothing fancy here just solid stick to your ribs fare, perfect to brace oneself with before an eight hour flight and airline fare.

I give Lum's inn a 5 star rate because today was my first time trying out there place. My friend that use to work there kept telling me "come to lum's inn, it's bomb" I always told her "okay, okay" but never really did til today. I only got a mini plate and half threw I was getting full. I got a hamburger steak w/ scoop rice and Mac salad. And for additional charge onions. Only $.55 which is a reasonable. My plate was only $6.55 which is a great price, they also have a 10 percent discount so like a $5 plate was so ono. I'm definently coming back. and using that military discount, and make sure your ID is present Staff is great I didn't get the guys name but I did tell him I was a first timer and talked to him a lot. he even explained to me there menu and that they have daily specials so its really good. they also do catering and they're located right by kilani bakery. Parking is only a few stalls but still a great location. love Lum's

  • Leslie S.

I ordered a mini Teri beef plate. It wasn't that great. The meat was tough and the potato salad was on the sour side. What is good here are the prices. It's good on the pocket book. Zippy's Teri beef plate is way better. I won't order Teri beef from here again. What I did enjoy was the employees singing while working. That was refreshing.

Monday, 8-25-14 at about 12 pm I can't comment about the food because the customer service is horrible so I didn't end up placing an order. That trashy female who was sitting at the front counter has to go! She is a detriment to the business. She seems to think that she's a beauty, but she's actually an ogor. To that trashy, unfriendly female: You are lucky to have a job! With looks and personality like yours, you're lucky that Lum's Inn even allows you to be in its place of business!

Choke Ono! My favorite was the fries with gravy. Fries were FAT! Most Definitely going back!

We went front he Dole visit on the road again to search for a place where you can find local food. (the Dole grill was overcrowded, so the choice was made). Of course we searched with Yelp and we decided to go for Lum's Inn. To find that place it was easy, but now: my first advice: do not hesitate .. just go in! Great local food awaits you. We had the mixed platter and it was homemade from its finest. It had beef, pork and chicken with different flavors, some salad and rice .. the serving size is huge and we were not able to finish it, because it was so much food. People there are very nice and friendly. I really recommend that place!

After surf grinds.. I inhaled my fried shrimp, fried scallop mix plate. Was SOOO ONO!!!! Just found this place and it's for sure gonna be my new favorite spot. The Filipino girl upfront was super nice and helpful. Small dining area inside and outside. Right before Kilani bakery. Will be back!!! Prices are pretty good too.

Just ate our first lunch from Lum's and will go back for sure. We had roast pork plate and a teri chicken and shrimp combo both with white rice and mac salad. We were happy. All of it had good taste and quality. Many times when you go to a take out place there rice is low quality, this was not. Teri chicken had a nice char and not too sweet. The pork was tender but still had a chew to it (unlike Zippys.) Mac salad was not too salty but just a bit too much mayonnaise. Wish they were open till 8pm since I work in town.

Love the stuffed cabbage and the teri beef, not a fan of their fries but everything else is delicious. The daily specials are great, lots of variety. Very inexpensive and fast courteous service. Cash only

Anything Teri here is good. Reminds me of the old Pee Wee drive in. Mushroom chicken and katsu were good too. However I ordered brown rice and tossed but got white and Mac. Kinda run down and no AC. Nice folks though.

Gravy lovers rejoice! I picked up lunch for my workers today and ordered 8 plates...hamburger steak, beef cutlet, roast pork and teri chicken. Everything looked super good so I let all my workers pick their plates and I took what was left which was the beef cutlet. It was real ono with crunchy breading and thick brown gravy...I gotta say the gravy is one of the tastier ones I've had so although there are many choices. ...if you like gravy then be sure to order one the gravy plates...can't go wrong.

  • Joan A.

This place is one of the BEST plate lunch places on the island! Their chicken and pork cutlet is to die for and so is their Teri beef plate! They have specials everyday... Monday through Saturday which is a good thing because it makes people come back for more and make people look forwardto going back and trying something different. There's two or three tables outside and two tables inside so most times people just pick up their food and do takeout. They have the option of having tossed salad or mac salad for your side but darn mac salad is sooo good you forget about trying to eat healthy! it can get really busy here so best thing to do is call in your order and just pickup. This is one of two plate lunch places/ joints that I have cravings for! I have no complaints... Everything here is good!

  • Rita O.

Every Friday, I go to Lum's for take out of their roast turkey. The mini plate is perfect . Slow roasted yummy turkey, stuffing, brown rice & green salad. I also tried the salsa ahi & roast pork both were very good. I don't think you can go wrong with this place. Love that they have brown rice & green salad as a more healthy choice. Even if I do have them put yummy gravy on my rice :) I walk over from the post office, so parking is not an issue for me. Oh no, I am retiring what about my turkey dinner/lunch? hmnnn?? Seating & parking is limited. Since it didn't affect me I didn't take away a star.

LUM'S INN serves up a wide range of local favorites - hamburger steak, teriyaki meats, fresh caught island fish, and Hawaiian food. Daily Specials are posted - each based on fresh ingredients delivered from local farmers. Each order, full sized or mini, is prepared by the Chefs when your order is placed. Marinated meats, - chicken, pork, or beef - available for take-out and your home or picnic grill. Your guests will sing the highest praises of your BBQ culinary skills! My favorites, two of many, are the Hawaiian plate - two large lau lau with a healthy serving of meat and taro leaves, two scoops of rice (white or brown), a large serving of macaroni salad (or fresh veggie salad), and teriyaki chicken plate lunch are cooked and served with love. Wahoo! Your taste buds will be wowed! A good, tasty value for the holidays or special occasions is Lum's Inn oven-roasted turkey, dressing, and gravy! Available on special order. A wide range of side dishes to accompany this exceptional, moist, flavorful, fresh from the oven baked turkey are available. Lum's Inn has a wide range of catered foods. One visit and you will return again and again!

Lum's Inn, formerly located in Mililani in the building behind Jack In The Box. I used to frequent there for cheeseburgers until they closed down. A few years ago, they opened up again & relocated in Wahiawa right before Kilani bakery. Upon seeing it, I saw a sign stating it was the same Lum's Inn that was in Mililani. I went in & got cheeseburgers. I can't remember exactly if it was the same as before but it was good. We eat there often & have ordered a lot off of their menu. The food is good. The prices and quantity are average. The service is quick and they are always very friendly! They offer brown rice and always makes sure to ask when you order. There is seating inside and out and very clean inside. The only problem is parking. It's pretty busy on Kilani Avenue and the parking is few. Call in your order!

There are few places on this island that I will make an effort to jump into my gas-guzzling FJ for and visit on a whim, regardless of where I am on said island. It would have to be a pretty good excuse for me not to make such a spontaneous drive. Such as: I am at work. Or, I am off-island. Or, I have been suffering from what seems to be a form of memory loss and forgot about the place. Or, I am off-island. But this place, Lum's Inn, is one of those cherished places. Yes, a place to go for some of the best local plate lunch-style food to be had, but not quite as popular as it should be. I can honestly say that everything on the menu and their daily delicious specials are some of the best I have ever experienced. Tender meats, tasty fish, all coupled with the very best in either mac salad or greens, and your choice of white or brown rice. Nothing fancy, just blue-collar servings of kanak-attack material at a very affordable price. But just, just, delicious. To take it a step further, on Fridays they serve their version of Hawaiian plate. Melt-in-your-mouth kalua pig, perfectly steamed laulau, perfectly made chicken long rice... hoh. It can be served individually according to the day's specials menu, or mixed-plate style. Just know that Fridays here is an event as I consider it some of the best Hawaiian food on the island. There are other reasons to support this deserving place. First: military discount. That alone is worth any drive, as I am grateful. Second: It is near Kilani Bakery. How convenient if you were looking for some pies or pastries to go with your winnah-winnah plate lunch (unless you don't mind going to Pa'ala'a Kai bakery in Wailua on another one of those same whims. Puffies! But that may be another review). Third: It's affordable. Even if it wasn't, spend the money. It's worth it. So, spread the word. This place rocks. Only a few parking spaces directly in front, but there is some street parking. Feel free to be creative with your parking choices, I highly doubt anything is enforced in the immediate area. I wish this place will someday move back to Mililani so it is more accessible. But, like I said earlier, well worth the drive no matter where you're coming from. Enjoy.

Good food for a great price! The girls inside are super friendly. We got huge portions which we were able to eat for dinner, and save the left overs for lunch the next day! I haven't seen better priced food on the island yet. We'll definitely be going back.

Went here based on Yelp reviews after visiting the Dole Plantation on our trip to Oahu. We got chicken teriyaki, grilled cheese, hamburgers, and fries and they were all wonderful! All of the workers were so nice and the locals that came in were very nice as well. One of the workers even helped up back out of the small parking lot by stopping the oncoming traffic so we could get out. We will definitely keep this place on our list of great food places to go on our next trip!

My wife told me about this place and how it was located somewhere else and called "In and Out" and that its the same owners and such. My first time there I ordered a hamburger steak. When I got it, it seemed like they used the patties from the Banquet Salisbury Steak. They tasted like it too. As for me, I don't recommend this place. Food wasn't really that good. However the coke soda that I ordered, now that tasted great.

Lums only if people see what I see that goes on in the back of the inn. Drug deals homeless of wahiawa that go in and out the back door. The workers yelling f this f that from inside. I can hear it so clearly. They need to watch out cause I have photos of the trafficking that's takes place there. That's all I have to say. Sad sad! F U lums how dare you call my phone yelling saying to bring it to you. I cant believe you wanna fight a lady! Your voice mail is crazy. I'll have to post it! Plus you say your the owner wow the OWNER OF LUMS WANTS ME TO COME TO THERE JOB TO FIGHT IT OUT! 1 off I can say what ever I want! It's called freedom of speech. Second of all I know the people you let in there. Shame on you and your chronic ways. Maybe I'll come by so you can beat this lady up. Wow owner wants me to come there so the owner of lums can beat me up. U guys are nasty for saying that. Good thing this review will be here FOREVER! Not much I could say about your business. Watch what you say lums. I have pictures and yes now a voice mail with the owner trying to fight me.

Okay ... I'm giving my first visit a FANTASTIC! My parents ate there a few weeks ago & they both raved about the food. My Dad really like the Hamburger Steak which says ALOT for an establishment. My mom cooks really good so we compare everything we eat to hers so I was rather interested to see what peaked his opu! So, my hubby & I decided to give it a try. I had a mini Hamburger Steak, which comes with choice of rice (wht or brown) and salad (mac or green). My hubby had a bacon cheeseburger & fries. Let me tell you, the patties are homemade .. not the May's crap you get @ some places. Even their fries are homemade, just like how my mom makes 'em. They don't season it so it's up to you to add salt which is how fries should come. Sometimes peeps oversalt which leads to crappy fries! The establishment isn't big. There were (2) two seaters outside, (2) 4 seaters inside, a bench inside to sit & wait and counter space - 3 chairs. Very quaint! It's truly an ohana establishment. They are very welcoming and from what I heard alot of repeat customers came in during our short time there. The staff knew their names by heart & talked story for a bit ... nice to see! Oh yeah ... back to the food! ONO ONO ONO! And how can someone tell I think the food is ono??? Well, I do the ono dance in my seat! My hubby always laughs at me! But if the food makes you feel good then I say do a lil' jig! For me to like someone elses Hamburger Steak says ALOT! It's not only about the patty but it's about the GRAVY and let me tell you, it was just like moms! WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER .... umm, more like beef lunch!!!! (lol) They have weekly specials on top of their menu choices. This is not an L&L so don't expect an extensive menu but it does the trick. We will definitley be frequenting this place to try some of the specials!! There are 2 downsides - PARKING & CASH ONLY! Parking - there are only 4 stalls in front of the restaurant. So if it's taken then you need to find street parking which will mean metered stalls. You go during the day then I hope you have coins with you. Then trying to get out is kinda nuts if its busy on Kilani ... good luck. Cash only - I understand it BUT come on, how many people carry cash? I know I can go weeks without carrying cash. I'm all about my debit card. Guess it sucks to be me in situations like this ... thankfully the hubby usually has some cash on him!

Good local food in Central Oahu! My favorites are the roast pork, bacon cheeseburger, garlic shrimp, and mac salad! Very reasonable prices for lots of food and the staff is always happy to help. Cash only, closed on Sundays.

been here a few times before, everything that I've ordered has been good. hamburger steak, pork cutlet or cheeseburger deluxe are my fav's. they give alot so I order the mini plate now. they cook everything after you order, so plan on 5-10 minute wait. parking can be tight, but the spot across the street in front of the fire hydrant is always open for me. soda comes in a Styrofoam cup that I reuse at home, they are highly alcohol resistant and keep your drinks cold with minimum ice. Lum's is right under the Domino's pizza sign, next to kilani bakery. quality - 3.5 quantity - 4.5 price - $

Old school Mililanians will remember the good ole days when there was only one shopping center in Mililani, that had the skate rink, Foodland, and a take out food place called Inn and Out. Though the old Inn and Out had to change their name to Lum's Inn, presumably because of a trademark problem with the California chain of the same name, the food remained the same since 1979. Old school Mililanians were also bummed to find out that Lum's closed early in 2011, without the prospect of a new location. Driving through Wahiawa, I discovered that Lum's Inn had reopened next to Kilani Bakery! Woo hoo!! But was the food the same as I had remembered growing up with it? I ordered a bento, and to my surprise the cashier asked if I wanted it with brown rice. Sure! I was happy to find out that the bento is EXACTLY as I remembered it to be - a skinny piece of burnt spam, tender, sweet teriyaki beef, a piece of grilled teriyaki chicken, and a wonderfully thickly breaded pork cutlet. Though my tastes have changed to healthier fare, this bento was a throwback to the old days. I really hope Lum's survives here - they're one of the old school mom and pops that does traditional local food well.

I'm not into making outrageous statements. I don't like to generate "hype" when it's undeserved. But Lum's Inn deserves to be recognized as one of the best local-style, plate lunch restaurants on the island of Oahu. Period. Great food, large portion sizes, and fair prices. The epitome of a perfect plate lunch joint. My first experience with Lum's Inn was with their Hawaiian Plate, which my mom brought home while we were moving into our home in Wahiawa last year. It was amazing! Every item was quality - laulau, kalua pig, chicken long rice, etc. I went straight into kanak attack afterwards - which completely ruined my attempts to move. Every one of my visits since then have been great. Lum's hamburger steak is easily within Oahu's top ten (Wahiawa boasts three, in my opinion - Dot's, Shige's, and Lum's). Daily specials keep things fresh. If you're indecisive, then default to one of the bento choices or their mixed plates. You'll be impressed. The staff at Lum's Inn is always friendly. I catch myself talking story with them often. Lum's loses one star because seating is limited, as is parking. Otherwise, this would have been my first five-star review.

Ok, I went back and they've improved on their customer service even though the friendly smiles are lacking sometimes. I ordered a teri pork sandwich today and it has good taste but prepare yourself to use a lot of napkins. I usually now take it home as it's a 3-4 paper towel mess. Rather than just cook the marinated meat, they also douse it in teri sauce after it's cooked resulting in a soggy bun. The last time I made the mistake of eating in my car, my trousers had to be washed when I got home (thank goodness for black pants). Their fries are freshly cooked but they don't season it so one needs to season it yourself. I still think I prefer McD's fries.

Lum's Inn has great plate lunches, I come here whenever I'm in the wahiawa area. My favorite dishes are the hamburger steak, roast pork and roast beef, their brown gravy is one of the best. I also love their roast turkey, and I have yet to find a dish I didn't enjoy. They cook their hamburgers to order, that's also a plus, and their mini plates are awesomely cheap, less than $6! Their Mac salad is amazing as well, great flavor, not overly mushy, and just enough mayo. I hear their burgers and fries are amazing as well.

Used to have breakfast once in a while when they were in Mililani and I started going to them a little more frequently now that they're in Wahiawa. Still good old home cooking! I really like the burgers and it's been hard for me to try other things since I can't not order the burger. Homemade and delicious. It's different from Shige's and Sunnyside, but very good. Shige's & Sunnyside are also great, so it's just a matter of where I'm at or if I've been to one or the other before the next choice. At any rate, Wahiawa has the hometown places to eat Lum's is just another great choice to go to.

Love this place! If you are looking for a tasty plate lunch at a decent price, this is the place to go. I recommend the Beef Teriyaki, or the Ahi Salsa plates, they are both excellent. The portions are also good sized, and they offer tossed or mac salad. The place is clean, and staff is very friendly too! They used to be in Miliani before, but the food is so good it is worth the extra drive to Wahiawa for me. For sure one of the best places in Central Oahu for good local food!

Started going to Lum's Inn when it was Inn & Out in Mililani back in the early 80's. My mom would take me by after leaving Kipapa Elementary, and we'd get the teri chicken plate or teri beef burger. Going on up through high school, it was the place to stop for food before going home or on the weekends. Since moving to the mainland, whenever I get to a chance to go back to O'ahu, I always made it a point to stop in Mililani and get lunch at Lum's. Glad to hear that it is still open in Wahiawa. Gonna have to stop by... What you should understand is that, it's been 30-some odd years later, and I'm still craving their food. There's no place on the mainland that even comes close.

Food quantity is unreal! For the amount given in a regular plate you can feed 2 regular eaters or 1 dinosaur! Definitely way better than L&L but too bad its tucked away on a side street in Wahiawa, the old Domino's Pizza location. Parking is sufficient for the amount of tables they have. Daily specials and they serve brown rice.

I ordered the Hamburger Steak and Terri Beef mix plate. The hamburger steak had a nice char-broil flavor along with a very good beef to panko ratio. The gravy was perfect. I would have wanted some grilled onions or scallions to garnish the gravy. The terry beef was a thick slice of what looked like either top sirloin or chuck steak. The terri beef was tender and full of flavor. The mac salad was a nice compliment to cut through the meal and didn't taste like it had a ton of mayo. The portions were very good and the service was great. One of the best plate lunch places on the Island.

was once called inn and out and was in mililani.... same great crew and great food! daily specials change the menu on a regular basis. one of the best chicken katsus i've ever had (only available certain days)! love their mac salad as well! low prices and lots of food! heaps of cheap eats! if you're in the area, drop by!

Different location, same great food. When I heard they were closing earlier this year, I was devastated as I could not get a flight from California to eat their one last time. :p. My child memories were re-born as they re-opened in Wahiawa. The anticipation grew..."is the Teri chicken and Mac salad still same?"..."does the Wahiawa water effect the taste of the Ono food?". Inn & Out is still the same, jus like how I remembered it was in the early 80's. Visions of riding my Takara bike on those concrete steps came over me as I took my first bite of that familiar teri chicken. Memories of Skate Palace, Foodland, and B&L Bike Shop filled my head as I inhaled the creamy (plenty mayo) mac salad. Ahhhhhh....life is good. For the record...the is the one and only Inn & Out!!!

GOOD - Decent-sized portions. BAD - Since relocating from Mililani Shopping Center to a small building in Wahiawa, parking is now an issue. DISH 1: HAMBURGER STEAK & GRAVY - Two decent-sized steaks. The patties are a nice thickness, and the meat is very tender. Well cooked. But the gravy is very soupy and a bit too salty for my taste. DISH 2: MACARONI SALAD - The macaroni was limp, and it was smothered in mayo.

Wuz bummed when their Mililani location closed but realized how much I missed them when I found them open in Wahiawa several months later. I haven't tried everything on the menu because I have my favorites and rarely deviate. Great local plate lunches and well worth the short drive into Wahiawa town. Parking is limited, but because it is mostly a take out place there is a high turnover. Street parking is sometimes available too. Crystal always knows what I want when I walk into the door - saves me from deciding what to order!

Right in the heart of Wahiawa! Yummy Hawaiian/American food. We shared a Hawaiian plate: laulau, beef stew, kalua pig, and rice for only $8.20! So good, I wanted to take a nap immediately! Only downfall, there is only I think 4 parking stalls or street parking as well....

Amazing.

Parking is only a few stalls but still a great location. love Lum's

Since it didn't affect me I didn't take away a star.

been here a few times before, everything that I've ordered has been good. hamburger steak, pork cutlet or cheeseburger deluxe are my fav's. they give alot so I order the mini plate now. they cook everything after you order, so plan on 5-10 minute wait. parking can be tight, but the spot across the street in front of the fire hydrant is always open for me. soda comes in a Styrofoam cup that I reuse at home, they are highly alcohol resistant and keep your drinks cold with minimum ice. Lum's is right under the Domino's pizza sign, next to kilani bakery. quality - 3.5 quantity - 4.5 price - $

They give a great huge piece of fish! Salad was not too tasty. I recommend taking-out.

I've been a customer of Lum's Inn even before they changed their name from In & Out. Must be about 15-20 years since I first went there. Their relocation to Wahiawa is great for everyone who lives in town. Finally Wahiawa is getting more business like "Walgreens, & Teddy's Bigger Burger" If we get a Starbucks, then the town is back! Back to Lum's, the food is great! Portions are decent and prices are still reasonable. While your there, stop next door at Kilani Bakery and get some of their awesome brownies!

Had the bento. I always seem to order a bento from here, ever since it was in Mililani. And it was just as good as before! If they keep everything as it was before things should be just fine. Had pretty much everything on the Mililani menu and I've never had a bad meal!

Best beef stew on the island IMHO. Been coming here since the bento had shoyu chicken instead of teri chicken, and would get that with a side scoop of mac salad at least twice a week. Wish they'd go back to that. Roast pork, pork & beef cutlet are also good. I've had the hawaiian mix on Fridays and that's kanak attack portions.
