Ate dinner here last night and it was great! No less than four people tried to seat us while we waited for table for 8. Service was attentive and our pizzas were excellent. I had the Rooster and loved it. The kids shared a small, which worked perfectly for an 8 and 2 x 12 year olds. Parking was difficult because it was so dark (after 7:30 pm). It was warm inside but not unbearable. May eat there again before we leave Princeville.

The pizza is really good. Especially if you are gluten free (best gluten free dough on the north shore). My only concern was with the bug issue. When we sat down, we were immediately covered in mosquitos. The staff didn't seem that concerned. We got up and asked for our pizzas to go. After our experience, I would only recommend that people get food to go and save yourself the annoying mosquitos bites that will remind you of your dinner for the remainder of your vacation.

What an experience. Pizza was ok, service was mediocre at best. We had a group of 7 and sat in the corner booth. We were immediately greeted by dozens of gnats and/or mosquitos flying over our table. When we told the server he said "yea we leave the windows open so they are pretty much everywhere because it's so humid and hot". We decided to each get a beer and order our pizza to go after getting bit 4 or 5 times. After all was said and done we felt like we got ripped off. We each had 1 beer and ordered 2 large pizzas to go. Our bill was $123 with a nice 15% tip came out to $147 total. So $21 a person. When we got home it turns out each person got 2 slices of pizza. $21 for 2 slices of pizza and a beer?! That's insane. On the mainland I could get a whole large pizza and a beer to myself for that. Overall the food was ok, the prices were too high and the bug problem was the worst. Disappointed after reading other reviews.

Very close walking distance from the St. Regis so we thought we'd go check out the pizza as I was craving some after our flight from Seattle. My food exception were still set at the Seattle level so maybe I was expecting too much. The ambience is of a new place that's not completely occupied and they're missing all the decorations that make a place warm and inviting. We got here early before the normal dinner rush and got seated immediately and the service level was just right and the staff was attentive to our needs. The menu is quite large and must have had 50 or more entrees with everything from starters, salads, pizza, pasta, etc.. We came for the pizza and ordered a caesar salad to start it off with a couple of beers. Also they served some complementary bread with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar . The bread was freshly baked and thought this was a good starter for the dinner. The caesar was another story, it came in a large bowl filled with some salad that I would have thrown out as it was starting to brown and was wilted. We were surprised that the kitchen made it and the server presented it to us. The pizza after the salad was actually pretty good for the first few slices, but the crust was overly salty and after a few slices the salt was too much. This could be a good place to just hang and have a beer, but the food was on the border of making me worry about it being safe to eat after getting the salad served to us. I'd like to see this place be successful, but seems they are just holding on by serving food that shouldn't be served.

Walked in last night and the inside temp had to be 90 degrees. Too hot. Walked out and ate in town. Maybe we'll try again another time.

If you're staying in Princeville, you have to check out Hideaways! We stayed at a condo across the street and decided to head over for a bite and a drink and found a seat at the bar. Our plan for a drink and an appetizer quickly changed after we had the wings, which were fantastic! They had a great selection of microbrews and wonderful mixed drinks made with their house rum. We ended up ordering the Hawaiian pizza (what else), which was also fantastic and were won over by the friendly & attentive staff. I would definitely check it out again the next time I'm in Princeville, which is hopefully very soon!

It is unfortunate to start a review with.... "I got our money back at least after I demanded it back!" I have never wrote a bad review to date, so here I go. I am in the service industry and depend on my clients and their reviews. Our experience with this place was unbelievable. Sad is more like it. My wife and daughter were treated like CRAP at the very beginning. My wife asked for a high chair and was immediately questioned if she really needed one for my toddler, insinuating that she is too large for one.... She is not even 2 years old yet and nowhere near overweight. I could not believe that the service took 1.5 hours for two dishes. the restaurant was not that busy. The kids meal was a piece of bread with melted cheese and some ragu. Also when I commented that I would put a Yelp review in, a LOUD MOUTH waiter (with highlight in his hair and slightly overweight ) says to me as he passes YELP means nothing. He wasn't in my conversation and he was extremely rude! The manager agreed with me and said she would speak with him. Then he walks back and said something else.... I proceeded to put him in his place rather rudely myself. I hated to do it but he had no business jumping into to my conversation a second time. I feel that this team needed to be trained better. I'm sure they have gotten better and I hope to return one day for a second chance. I know all businesses have a bad day but how do you recover is the question. Good luck (sincerely) with your business. Mark E.

Coming from New York, I find this review a little hard to write. I am used to some of the best pizza in the world so me giving this place 3 stars really translated to 5 for the area. I was very pleased with the crust and taste of the pizza. the other reason i only gave 3 stars is that the night i was in, the place was very hot and with i'm sure normally it doesn't need a/c but for that night, during the heat wave, it sure would have been nice. It also seemed like the staff although very friendly and nice, were working too many tables to focus on everyones needs. We decided to try something different and went with the rooster which had pulled chicken, bbq sauce, caramelized onions and a few more. I must say the crust was crisp and the pizza was balanced very well. It was actually pretty good! I would totally order this again if I came but but my favorite was the garden which had pesto, artichokes, peppers, onions, olives and a few more things. This was my favorite of what we had and very refreshing. If you come here def try the garden pizza. For the area and being in walking distance this is a great place. We came rather early and was seated right away but there was quite a wait when we walked out so be mindful of that.

In short I would NOT reorder or recommend this place for pizza. This review comes from myself and 3 other family members while vacationing here in Kauai. We paid $60 for two large pizzas with 1 topping. First this price exceeds two pizzas in my hometown of San Francisco. Next the pizza crust tasted like something out of a microwave and the was super greasy and honestly the worst pizza we have ever eaten. I do not like leaving negative reviews but feel it's my duty to warn people from eating here. Service - was fine and normal.

hideaways is really hidden away in princeville -- off of ka haku road on pali ke kua. the parking situation isn't that great. when we got there, the only parking was in a condominium complex that was full of residents. we had to wait a while before an opening became available. when we finally got inside, we were greeted by a lovely fish tank. the fish were neat to look at while the host waited for a table to clear. it was super busy for a monday night. i'm not sure if this is typical or not. there were a lot of tourists here, mainly because it's in princeville and there are a lot of resorts/condos in the area. the host sat us at a table near the window that overlooked a pool and jacuzzi outside. there was a nice breeze that came through the window. our server was prompt in bringing us water. we ordered and our server also offered bread with oil and basalmic vinegar. the bread was soooo delicious! the husband wanted the cheesy garlic bread. it was really yummy, but didn't come with any sauce to dip it in. we had to ask for that. i'm not sure if they charged additionally. i ordered the 10 inch bianco which is a white pizza. i didn't get the fresh basil topping, though. the husband got the 10 inch spinach & pears. both pizzas were super delicious. i like white pizzas and it lived up to my expectation. the crust wasn't too thick or too thin, it was just right. the spinach & pears pizza had a delicious sweetness to it that was complimented with the goat cheese it came with. it's a little spendy for pizza, but well worth it if you're in the princeville area! the establishment was also clean, and spacious with a good vibe. you could tell that all the employees enjoyed working there. i will definitely be back!

We went on two different nights. The first with the wife and I that was a very good experience. The food was above par, fresh and full of flavor. Then we went with grand kids and their great grandmother, it couldn't have been worse. After bragging about how good it would be the service was very slow, the food only just ok and wasn't up the the same level and because of the service came out cold and in one case didn't come at all and had to be made then. This was hard on a 5 year old who was watching everyone else eat. We watched as the head chef had to deliver out the meals to the customers in many cases. I know we were not the only diners to have this situation. And the odd thing was is that the waitress acted and chatted like every thing was of the highest caliber and just as it should be. I can not believe this was the same restaurant that we went to on the first night.

Reasonable and good pizza. Staff is very friendly. Nice to have a good easy take-home food option in Princeville.

This would have been 5 stars for food. I deducted a star due to the fact we gad issues with our bill...twice. That being said the pizza was VERY good. We also gad drinks (Hibiscus Margarita and 1944 Mai Thai ). I recommend this place I'd you are staying in Princeville for sure, it's not a hole in the wall, it's a nice restaurant.

Some of the worst service I have ever had. It took twenty minutes to get a soda and another 45 minutes to get an appetizer and that was only because I complained. The food was mediocre at best. Will not be going back nor will I ever recommend this place.

There aren't that many pizza options on Kauai, but this one isn't a bad spot - and it's right down the road from my parents house in Princeville. We came here for a private dinner party and the service was fast and the food was good. It's a great place for large groups, and during sunset they have great views of Princeville around the restaurant property. For appetizers we had focaccia, spinach artichoke dip, and a veggie platter. All were tasty, especially the fresh focaccia bread. For dinner, my husband and I split the 14' Bianco pizza, which was plenty of food for two people. The crust was thin and the pizza was good, although I have definitely had better white pizzas! They do have a lot of other fun pizza creations though (pear, goat cheese, and spinach for example) that I look forward to trying next time we go. Other people at our table ordered a variety of pasta dishes that got okay reviews - portions are big, so go hungry! Overall, not the greatest pizza/italian joint, but it's a good place to fill your belly after a long day of surfing!

We had a great dinner here! They have an appetizer called sicilian cigar that was amazing! It had great flavor, texture, dipping sauce.... We tried the spinach and pear pizza and added sausage to it. The kids portion spaghetti was just right and priced decently. Friendly staff and convenient location in Princeville! :)

It was good but not better than Kileaua Pizza. The pasta, not so good, especially the whole wheat pasta. The Salads are very good, with the entree size big.

  • Joseph H.

Truly ambrosial pizza! The food was great, including the Sicilian cigars as an appetizer and the cheese/Hawaiian/BBQ chicken pizzas. The restaurant was very nice, with a huge fish tank in the front area. Would definitely return.

First off the Bianco Pizza was outstanding!!!!!! Delicious!! Super cheesy! Great name for the place that is hidden away at the Pali Ke Kua condo complex in Princeville. The actual place was much nicer inside than I expected. Yes, the pizza is more expensive than most places but the medium size is plenty large- enough for 2 people with a little left over! My only complaint was the SLOW service!!!!! I know it is Kauai and everything moves at a slower pace, but it was 8:30pm and we were starving!! Our server was nice, but she moved in slow motion. She cared more about telling the table across from us her whole life story and how she is studying to be a massage therapist. She went on and on for 10 minutes as we waited for some bread and drinks. She could only focus on one table at a time while the rest of us just waited for her to finish her story. Very strange, she never asked if we wanted another Mia Tai or more drinks. Had to ask for refills. She was just kind of out of it. I'm sure if we weren't starving, she wouldn't have been such a buzz kill, but the service just didn't match the great food we ate. Service 1 star Food 5 star Vibe 5 star Price 3 star

Casual spot in a condo/timeshare development. Pizza is ok and the add ons are plentiful. Salad was fine too. Servers are very friendly and accommodating.

Don't bother. The pizza was slightly worse than average. Better than frozen, but just barely. And LONG waits once you're seated. Won't be back.

We ordered a large cheese pizza at 9 pm, really the only place that was open near the Westin, it was good pizza!!

Overall, a nice decent place, especially considering there's not much else around. We stayed at the St Regis for 8 days and ate at Hideaways for three nights. The salads are good and the lasagna was good. Pasta Neapolitana was not great. The pizzas are average. Somewhere between thick and thin crust. Overall, I would eat here again, especially if I stay at the St Regis or hotels close (Wyndham/Westin).

    (3)

Very convenient to the Westin and St Regis. Kids enjoyed their pasta (they are experts in this field). Our white pizza was good and my salad was outstanding - with great mix and consistency of ingredients.

Uh oh...my previous reviews were great but now six months later, they are down to two stars. Very greasy pizza combined with slow service on a not too busy night. Management not too friendly. Never mind!

Thanks to hideaways pizza for getting our big group in last minute. The service was great and the food was exactly what we wanted. The Caesar salad was delicious and the portions were generous. A short walk from our condo in Puu Poa made this an even better option. This place is a great option for a casual family dinner.

Pros: Arugula and Quinoa salad was very good and filling Waitress (Marissa?) was excellent and very allergy aware- made a perfect gluten free pizza with goat cheese and toppings to accommodate my allergies Great staff, great food, reasonably priced, clean quiet atmosphere Cons: It was extremely hot in the restaurant- pushing the limits on open windows without AC No dedicated restrooms, public restrooms two flights down but they were fine Parking is a little tricky to understand. We parked across in a lot labelled "no public beach parking" and that seemed to work out A very nice find that we would return to.

We based our decision to eat here tonight based upon a combination of Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews. The restaurant is small with a full bar. We found our server, Kelsey to be very attentive and we had our drinks and appatizer bread very quickly. She was also assisted by other support staff that kept our water glasses filled and as well as our bread tray. They provided a platter with bread and a dish of oil and vinegar as a starter. My wife and I decided to follow a Greek theme. We shared a Greek Salad and a small Greek pizza. Both were well presented and tasty. We finished off with the Bali Hai Sunday for desert. It was a huge portion of ice cream, gelato, whipped cream white and dark chocolate chips with brownie bites. Over all we found the staff friendly and the food abundant and tasty.

On par with gas station pizza. I ordered pepperoni and was not impressed. The pepperoni tasted low quality along with the dough. The salad looked great and tasted good.

I don't eat a restaurant without looking at yelp first. I base most of my food decisions on reviews.. I feel I owe it in return. I'm giving this a 3 star rating purely on the pizza. Keep in mind this is a pizza joint on an small island in a "ritzy" golf community.. Decipher that as you please.. Pizza is not the speciality of Hawaii and being there isn't much competition in Princeville, you get what you can take.. I didn't expect much and got just about what I expected. The pizza didn't have much flavor yet the flavor it did have, wasn't bad at all. That being said, it was just fine. Service, ambiance, staff all get a 5 star! Drinks were nicely priced, with a great beer selection. It's a very friendly place where it seems a lot of the people know one another... The owner was VERY attentive and extremely nice (as was our young wait staff). Don't come into this expecting the pizza to live up to the high price, but know you won't be sad when you leave and you can make up for it on beer. I'd say, improve on the pizza, but I'm a well traveled snot from LA. I didn't see many of the polo-tee wearing golf community complaining. Everyone seemed happy!!

My husband and I were craving pizza on our honeymoon and couldn't find much. We settled on this place despite the fact that it only has 3 1/2 stars on yelp because it was only a quick 8 minute drive from our resort. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, the service was quick, and our expectations were exceeded. The salads were a bit pricy, but the small would have been enough for 2 to share. The salad, bread, and pizza were all tasty. No complaints here. We got the bbq chicken pizza and loved it. My only complaint would be the prices, but what do you expect in an extremely nice area in the small island of Kauai?

There's no outside seating. The lagsana was pretty good the pizza wasn't the best I've had we went during dinner time delivery of food was a little slow overall I wouldn't go back.

My three complaints about this restaurant, which I will never return to: First, pub? Um, no. A poor selection of beers and uptight atmosphere are not what I would consider a pub. Second, the Baked Cheese appetizer looked like it would be a nice cheese dip with normal, crispy bread rounds. The menu's self-proclaimed "crostini" was in fact extremely greasy garlic bread. A better, less misleading name for this dish would be Garlic Bread and Marinara With a Glob of Cheese in the Middle. Third, my pizza was both burnt and undercooked! I don't know how this was accomplished, but I LOVE pizza and I couldn't eat this pizza. The crust was black, yet the cheese was hardly melted. There were also puddles of water from the veggies on the pizza which made the whole pizza soggy. I'm happy my island has better pizza options than this "pub". I wouldn't be able to handle living in Hawaii if I had to go without pizza!

The long awaited opening of Hideaway's Pizza Pub is near! We visited the restaurant last night because we were told by a close friend and family member that a soft opening was to happen. We were greeted by the busy staff, who were assembling the menus in the dining room while the kitchen staff were working on a giant ball of dough. We were welcomed by Keesha and were given a quick tour of the front and back of the house. The décor is very nice with large Koa wood tables in seating booths that crafted by hand with care and attention to detail. The bar is already fully stocked and beers are on tap (I noticed Kona Brewing Company's tap handle :) The restaurant has been remodeled from floor to ceiling and offers a comfortable cooling breeze by way of a multitude of ceiling fans, a marked improvement over the previous operators' lay-outs! The owner shared with us that the opening day is uncertain, but did say it will possibly be on Monday or Thursday (I think he wants to make sure everything is just perfect before actually opening to the public).

Big mistake coming here. We were excited to try a new place, but were greatly disappointed. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo and it was a salmon pink color. Not sure if it was the lighting or the actual color of the food. Very unappetizing. My mom ordered the alfredo lasagne with veggies, but it was heavy red sauce with lots of mushrooms (and barely any pasta). We sat by the windows and then realized there were louvres under the table, which blew around our napkins. The only good thing is that the service was quick and friendly. It's not the server's fault the food sucks. Oh, and the highchair was clean.

I once heard this quote: "sex is like pizza, when it's good, it's good, and when it's bad, it's still pretty good." This quote does NOT apply to Hideaways Pizza. It takes a lot to f up a pizza, but they figured that out. I ordered a margarita pizza, thin crust, well done (I like the cheese to be a tad golden- not asking for much, right? Wrong...) So my thick crusted, undercooked pizza, to-go, was gross. To top it off (literally) they added provolone. Okay, not sure where they got that bad idea- maybe they ran out of good old traditional mozzarella? The bartender was nice when he took our order. We gave him a fat tip. But had I tried this pizza before getting back to our place, I would have sent it back. Guess they need to stay hidden away at hideaways. Sorry guys, the place was slow, the order was easy. No excuses. : (

We had driven by earlier in the day to check this place out and learned they opened at 5 pm. Dropped in on a Thursday about 7:30 pm. They were busy, but we got seated quickly even without a RSVP. About 815 it began to really fill up, with people waiting for tables. Many people walked here on foot (and on bikes) and a lot of people were waiting for take out food to go, so it is very popular with the folks of Princeville. I had the Greek salad which was great with lots of romaine, olives, red onions, feta, tomatos and cuc's. The cheesy bread is worth ordering and so are the extra calories - it was an awesome! Good wine and beer selection too. Waiter was great, one minor issue with our order and he immediately corrected this and it was a non-issue. Very good and enjoyable meal, will come back.

Our favorite restaurant on the island, five visits in two weeks! The pizza is fantastic and though they have a great selection, we had an "Italian Job" each time. It was so good, we just never tried the others. They offer 10", 12", and "14" pizzas. The 10" was perfect for the two of us. Many of their salads use kale, vice lettuce, and are very tasty. They offer both appetizer and entree portions of salads. Very generous portions! We enjoyed sitting at the bar, eating, drinking, and chatting with Brianna, the bartender. Speaking of the bar, good selection of local brews and a big screen tv make it a nice place to chill out. Nice, clean facility, uber-friendly staff, VERY reasonable prices, and SUPER pizza!

I've been here twice now. I know it's new but they do need to work on their service a little... Our waitress was friendly but slightly aloof. She forgot a couple things. But the pizza was good, drinks were good. I haven't tried anything but the pizza. The location is great, walking distance from my house. Princeville doesn't have a whole lot of options so I'm stoked they are there.

We were staying close by so we thought we'd give this place a try and we were very happy we did! The almond date wraps are insanely good and while usually when I get a salad, they aren't normally a feast and the kale-quinoa salad was giant! My husband loved his 'Rooster' pizza and our waitress was very nice and quick with everything. Wish we had tried the place earlier!

  • Darren H.

Ordered two pizzas for take out one regular and one gluten free. Considering the location I would give the pizza a 4 star but normally a three star. Very limited parking as I had to park on the grass out front as there are only about three spaces non- handicap. They do not take AmEx.

  • Shila S.

This place was one of the highlights of our Kauai visit--great service, reasonable prices, and amazing vegetarian selection. We had local beers, garlic bread (meh), kale salad (amazing!!!), and garden island pizza (very good!). I would def get the kale salad and garden island again. Pizza was crisp, medium thick crust, and PACKED with tasty toppings. Our server was very sweet and while the place was very busy, she was attentive and had great recommendations. Someone from the restaurant even ran out to give me my purse that I left at the table! Bottom line: tasty pizza, low key yet nice place for locals + tourists, reasonable prices!

Parking is kind of weird but walking to it is easy. The places front door is by the pool sort of, we found that entrance first. The pizza was good, rooster, my dad said he would get again. The Tuscan kale salad was phenomenal but the fettucini Alfredo was a tad boring.

  • Jeff B.

I thought the place was fantastic. I had the first and only gluten free pizza of my life that was actually really good boarding on excellent. The quinoa salad was fresh and better than anything else green I've had on this rock. As for the service, our waitress was wonderful and no complaints about the rest of the staff either. As far as the prices go, they were like everything else in Kauai, out of control. But no more out of line than anywhere else. It was great, just go.

  • Ryan C.

I giving two stars because my waitress was good and the pizza was also good, but it took a hour and five minutes to get said pizza the waitress apologized several times for the delay but still 1:05 for one medium pizza maybe they should visit pizza hut to learn how to make it faster I could have order pizza from any where and had it delivered faster than this place they could least offer bread or something to munch on. Great location and great if you renting a condo but come on guys you got to be able to make pizza faster the was only five other parties sitting inside Not busy at all it not fair for the serves doing there job right! So long story short order head and the open the box at a table if you like, problem solved ? Lol

If you're patient, you can get a fantastic pizza with abundant toppings for a fair price. And it's ALOT of pizza! Ham and pineapple or pepperoni - you can't go wrong. Everyone in our party of 6 only ate half - and we enjoyed the other half the next evening. Comfortable and casual atmosphere and not super crowded like so many other spots on the North Shore since it's off the beaten path. Would definitely return or recommend.

AT LONG LAST: GREAT, DELICIOUS CASUAL FOOD ON THE NORTH SHORE! Awesome pizzas and pastas (gluten free options available too!) AND delicious healthy other options like a kale & quinoa salad w/seared tofu. There is something for everyone. I'm gluten-free and have to say the gluten-free pizza might be the best I've had. Even my NY-er pizza snob boyfriend loves it. We eat there every time we on island. Also great for take out! Family friendly, date friendly....can't recommend this place enough!

Well, I have never met a pasta that I didn't like, but I have after being at this place! I do not recommend! Besides initially ordering a champagne drink, watched the waitress make, smelling two of the bottles before she poured them in to mix the drinks. She then tried and brought it out to me. I almost died! When I asked her if the alcohol was good and why she tried she said she was learning to be a bartender. For most that would be a clue that I was watching her do it. Yuck. Food and drinks were awful. Find somewhere else.

Loved this spacious restaurant with views of Kauai's stunning mountains. We showed up on a Sunday night & were seated right away. (Parking wasn't marked yet, so we were told to park anywhere). Our waitress, Rebecca, was the bomb - made great recommendations & laughed with us at pictures from the day. We had the spinach artichoke dip as an app, and each got a 10" pizza: the Veggie and the Spinach & Glazed Pear. Everything was delicious- we especially enjoyed the pizza crust....a little crunchy but not too thin! There were more than half a dozen other tables of customers, but all our food came out quickly & was They are really doing themselves a disservice by calling this place a "pizza pub" - although it does keep expectations low so they can be blown out of the water- prices are not pub prices, and the food & atmosphere are anything but pub like. Would recommend!

This little pizza pub is tucked back into a complex, but is nothing short of delicious. We went to this place 3 times on our vacation to princeville. The first night was for dessert-- the gelato with homemade brownies was fabulous. The 2nd time we went there was just for take out since it was late when we made it back to our resort and this was one of the only places open near us. My husband and I each ordered a 10 in pizza (pepperoni pizza, bianco pizza) and they were perfect sized for us and so tasty. The last night we were in Princeville, we went and sat at the bar to watch football. The bartender was very friendly and was very helpful in making suggestions for our meal. We ordered the spinach dip app which was so good and much more food than we expected. We each ordered the 10 in pizza again (Hawaiian, garden) and we were so full we could barely eat any pizza! We did not have anything bad here and look forward to going back on our next trip to princeville. It does get a little crowded on Saturday nights!

Awesome pizza! We had the Hawaiian with pineapple, onions, ham, and macadamia nuts. Other folks in our party had the plain two-cheese pizza, also yummy. We actually got our pizzas to go so I can't comment on in-restaurant service. But we ordered our pizzas and got them in about 20 mins. Brother and I had a beer at bar while we waited. The crowd was a mix of locals, snowbirds and kids. Not sure why so many people said it's difficult to find. True there is no sign, but it's obvious from the street as you can look up and see people eating in the windows. When you enter the cul-du-sac, It's the first building in the right, which also happens to be the community swimming pool and community center.

So glad to see Hideaway back up and operational. We stay at Pali Ka Kui condos and just love being able to walk across the parking lot to this wonderful pub. Very friendly atmosphere, clean, family like and more than just pizza. We enjoyed their salads, pasta and mai tais (3 different types). Place was jumping proving a lot of others have made this their go to place too.

Salads are good! Pizza is good! Cleanliness Lacking! Their version of shrimp scampi dry, With red sauce served barely hot $34 don't go there. Waitress was nice! Kitchen can't keep up. Restroom is far from bar .I could not see how they accommodate handicap.

Been to Princeville several times, this place was new so decided to check it out and I'm glad we did. If you staying right in Princeville, this is a great place to go right off the bat because it's so close. I think they are actually underselling themselves a bit to call it a Pizza Pub. They have a much better food selection than what I expected from the name. There is something for everyone. Given what you pay at the St Regis down the road, the prices are totally reasonable as well. Came here with 4 adults and 4 little kids, so the staff definitely had their work cut out for them. We had a reservation and were seated immediately and service was spot on. Waitress was there quickly and attentive the entire meal, bus boys and overall staff were really on the ball with bringing more food, filling waters, taking plates, etc. The complimentary bread was brought to the table and immediately devoured by the kids, it was pretty good, no complaints. Kids meals were reasonable priced and decent. We got the pizza bites, spaghetti and cheesy pasta. First 2 were just ok, cheesy pasta was pretty good. Adults got the chicken wings, which I thought were great, and the baked cheese, which was just ok. It wasn't bad, I just had envisioned more baked cheese and less sauce surrounding it. I got the mongchong cooked the house way and my buddy had the ahi house way. Mine was really good as was the polenta cake it came with (definitely opt for that over the pasta). My friend liked his Ahi as well. Girls got a massive salad which was ok, but it seemed like a lot of lettuce relative to the other stuff. My wife got pasta which was good, but not great. Overall, this was a good restaurant. Will definitely go back and order the fish again. It will go into the rotation with bar acuda, postcards and the dolphin without the drive to Hanalei. A main selling point is the location as there are a lack of good dining options directly in Princeville unless you want to pay for way overpriced St. Regis food.

Well we tried to eat here the day before and it was so hot in the restaurant we opted to eat else where...so the next day we did take out....,not my favorite pizza.., very average! Beet salad was a smorgasbord of canned beets and mandarins.. Meh People were very nice! But if you've gotta have pizza don't expect anything supreme!

Huge Disappointment! Second time to eat here. First time pizzas were ok. Pasta dishes were heavy and red sauce tasted canned, heavy and not italian. Chicken tasted like leather and dishes all were huge disappointment. Came back last night just for pizza as we figured regular foods aren't their thing. So we ordered pizzas. Gluten free pizza was great first time and not edible last night. Regular crust pizza first time was good, however last night: Regular crust pizza tasted like they mixed it with rice flour or the gluten free dough! It was heavy gritty and and hard to chew through. Gluten free pizza was Not crisp like my first dining experience. It was soggy, heavy, and gooey. Gross and they forgot 2 of my toppings. Couldn't really eat too much and still got sick. They were out of 4 different wines we tried to order. Pizzas came out with wrong or missing ingredients. Focaccia served was not focaccia and tasted like a packaged dinner roll. The olive oil they serve with it is not 100% olive oil tastes like 1% olive oil and very cheap vegetable oil. Even the color looks like vegetable oil not real olive oil! Come on people!!! Kitchen window is available to look through upon entering or exiting restaurant. When I looked in the kitchen and workers all looked dirty and not tidy. Totally not appetizing looking at people preparing your foods should look neat and tidy as well as kitchen should be clean and have some order going on. The owner chef was not in house and should be, as the food was not really too edible. The 4 of us all had stomach aches a few hours after eating. Really really sad as consistency is the key to success. Maybe the owner/chef should work every night till he gets it right. Also its ok to pay a sous chef enough money to keep them and want to make the restaurant succeed. Get rid of the beach bums in your kitchen. Right now its shaky business.

Absolutely amazing!! Farm to table fresh salads and the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo was the best I have ever had. Gluten free options also very good! Wine list good and several mai tai options. Can't wait to go back!!!

Walked here from the St. Regis and had a great meal. We had the Kale Caesar salad and made up our own pesto, arugula, caramelized onions and parmigiano pizza. Washed it down with a local Longboard Lagar and was very happy. We were not in the mood for rich, overpriced food from the resort and this was a great alternative. Friendly staff and a comfortable table.

Great pizza place; excellent service. Generous portions with perfect crust and creative toppings (cilantro on BBQ chicken?). Funny, friendly professional repartee with server Alicia who, bonus, is a former Portlander. This upscale restaurant with authentic native artifacts is a must-visit. Spread the good word on his hidden away and unassuming hideaway.

We had a Bianco Pizza-delicious! Mai Tai's-pretty good. Chocolate Sundae-that is where it went awry. Chocolate ice cream? I think NOT! It was more like ice milk. We weren't even aware that ice milk was still manufactured. Or maybe...if that was chocolate ice cream-it was severely freezer burnt. We sat in the bar and should have questioned the great bartender Chris. But we choose to save our comments to post on Yelp, to help others. Go and have the pizza. But do NOT waist $10.00 on a freezer burnt or ice milk Chocolate Sundae.

We stopped into this restaurant because it was close to our resort and very much enjoyed our experience. We were hesitant at first because of the lack of signage/publicity, but we were pleasantly surprised by the kind and helpful service and were impressed when we found out that it had opened only a month ago. Great appetizers, decent piazza and desserts and although all the servers were very busy, the food only took 20 mins to come out.

I echo some of the negative comments from the reviewers below. Considering that this is one of very few places to get a meal in Princeville, you'd think they'd do a better job with the food and service especially considering that this place is definitely not cheap. It shouldn't take an hour to make a Caesar salad and then an additional 30 mins for a vegetarian pizza. And to top it all, the pizza was pretty tasteless. Definitely not worth the price you pay. Drive a few miles down the road and find better places in Hanalei. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

Lots of good options. Yummy salads. Pasta was good, but I ordered gluten free.. The alternative noodle is just a brown rice spaghetti... I wish they could have had more options on a nicer noodle. I think we will go back and try the pizza. Bigger portions than most. Typical overpriced island food, but good. Service wasn't great... Lots of waiting in between waitress citings.

The Hideaway has great pizza and drinks. We were a group of 6 and waited less than 5 minutes for a table. The baked cheese was less than desirable, the sauce was bland and he cheese was rich. The meat lovers pizza did not disappoint. Overall, a little pricy, but it is in a vacation area.

This place was our favorite restaurant that we went to while we were on the island of Kauai! Service was top notch from the moment we walked in. We have a toddler and they were very friendly and talkative with him, brought over a high chair immediately (this alone was refreshing as every where else we went on the island wasn't as accommodating, although we only went to family type restaurants). Rebecca was our server (I hope I have her name right!) and she was great with making suggestions on the menu, very attentive without being over bearing, and she was just an awesome server all around. The pizza was delish, fresh and full of delicious toppings. We will def visit again the next time we're on the island!

Pizza was decent. Not a bad choice for staying local. It is a bit overpriced but then again so is everything else in the area. They are usually busy. Their customer service needs help.

I am reading all the reviews and I am amazed. The pizza served here is some of the worst I have ever had. The crust is a doughy medium crust, not crispy at all. We had to send one pizza back because the crust was not cooked through, and it still came back mushy. They also took quite awhile to arrive after ordering. The server was stretched thin, appeared to have an oversized station. She did the best she could. It was just a very disappointing visit. Most chain pizza is of a higher quality. Salads were OK. At the end of the day, this place just does not measure up on its core menu item, pizza.

Great salad, delicious pizza. We went at 7pm on a Wed. and got a seat within a few minutes. Service was fairly quick and our server was very polite. It was a little pricey ($25+ for med. pizza), but the food was very good. If you're in the Princeville area I'd recommend it. If, however, you're on the other side of the island I don't know that I'd recommend making the drive.

Cute place. Decent food. Got eaten Alive by Mosquitos, they were all over the place in here. I killed one on the wall behind me and it left a Bloody streak down the wall. Yuck. Invest in some more fans please!

The worst customer service and attitude. It took 1:15 hours to receive our pizzas and it was marginal at best. I took 5 kids and they were starving... At the end, I asked the waiter to request a 20% discount for the long wait. It took another 10 minutes for the bill. Without explanation, the gave me 9% off. I ask to speak with the owner. Another 10 minutes drifted by...finally I got up and approached the owner. I recapped the request and experience, we had a difference of only $9. He went off and explained that I should have known it would take that long because the restaurant was full. Really, shouldn't they tell you that up front?? $23/ pizza and it takes an extra hour? Avoid at all cost!

Sterile environment, terrible, pre-made food products served for too much money. The staff is the best part as they are friendly but the ownership needs to give them the tools they need like good products to work with. Bar options very limited.

Everything here was great. Had an arugula and quinoa salad, pepperoni pizza, and a Sierra Nevada Torpedo. I was really surprised on how great the pizza was! They have a great beer selection, and the wait staff is really nice. There isn't really any signage pointing out where the building is though.

Service at Hideaways was fine, our waitress was very amiable, but the two large pizzas for which we paid over $60 were a big disappointment. We ordered a Supreme (combination) and Hawaiian, which perhaps had decent flavor, but the texture of both was odd. Not sure what kind of cheese they're using at Hideaways, but it doesn't seem to be Mozzarella (if it is, it's poor quality). The Hawaiian includes pine nuts, which in itself isn't bad, but combined with the odd cheese and texture caused our older teenage son to state he "lost his appetite" after eating a slice. Those of you with teenagers will realize this NEVER happens - they eat everything. It's possible that one order might have turned out badly or gotten overcooked, but it's extrememly unlikely that BOTH pizzas suffered the same fate. I have to conclude that what we received was the typical Hideaways style, and all four in our party left disappointed. While the Ceasar salad I ordered was good, I'm sorry to say, I would not recommend Hideaways for pizza.

I love that this placed opened! We come to Kauai every year. They have a great menu with some interesting starters. We had the Pacific Pancakes, which were delicious with the ginger remoulade. The Kale Salad was fantastic! I am originally from New Jersey, so I am pretty difficult to please in the pizza department. This is the best pizza I have had on Kauai. They have a full bar, and several beers on tap, which is really nice. Just what Princeville needed!

We visited this restaurant so we can have dinner at a casual place, with a bit of noise, so my 1 year old son could feel free to talk, and scream, if needed. During our stay in Princeville, he learned the new skill of screaming in restaurants. This was a good place for it, since music is playing in the background, and it's quite a lively scene in there. Although, the food is OK. I probably wouldn't visit again but I left with no regrets. There is a full bar. I had the mai tai, which was also just OK. It's worth a try, maybe it wasn't my thing. The servers are great and were so nice to my screaming son. They came by to visit on several occasions, which was nice. Great staff!!!

The food is amazing! Went here on our last night in Kauai. Right when you walk in the pub it is a little hot but don't give up! Sit next to a window and you will forget all about the heat. We ordered two pizzas. Our waiter, Chris, was awesome however there was a little mix up in the kitchen. We got one pizza but after an hour our second pizza didn't come. We asked to cancel it, and they came about 20 mins later with the second pizza in a to-go box. They were very apologetic about the second pizza and on our check they took off the cost of both pizzas, and only charged us for the drinks. They went above and beyond to accommodate for their mistake. They did an excellent job and the food we did get was AMAZING! Eat here! The pizza will not let you down..

Tried this restaurant based on the good "Yelp" reviews and we were not disappointed! Nice atmosphere, very good pizza and service was excellent. They have a good size menu and from what I could tell all the people around us liked their meals as well. Prices are reasonable considering they are in the heart of Princeville. We could also just walk a few hundred yards to see the summer sunset.

Much more than just pizza and a pub! As of this writing Hideaway's has only been open 4 days, but they are doing a great job. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 young children and everyone was very friendly and took good care of us. There is a kids' menu with mac and cheese and plenty of vegetarian options including a pan seared tofu salad in addition to a variety of pasta and both traditional and "New School" pizzas. My very picky eaters enjoyed the macaroni and cheese even though it was home made and had a hint of nutmeg in the cheese sauce. I was worried they wouldn't eat it but even they thought it was delicious. The pizzas had very fresh ingredients on them, including the pineapple on the one we got for the kids and the spinach and pear on the grown-up one (different but delicious if you like spinach!). The crust is on the thin and crispy side but still had enough bread to be satisfying. The only disappointment was the beet and mandarin orange salad. The oranges tasted like canned mandarine wedges. It was ok, but I was surprised they would use canned fruit when there is so much fresh fruit available locally. It was $17 for the "Entree" sized salad which was plenty for four people to share, but I think the regular sized one ($10ish) would have been enough for an appetizer. The cocktails were delicious. My Sis and I had Pina Coladas and the guys had fancy bourbon drinks. Definitely top shelf prices but worthwhile. The service was very friendly. The only problem was the long wait for the main course. Luckily they brought delicious focaccia to eat while we waited (again my kids surprised me by eating it even though there were some green herbs and spices on it). Hopefully they will be able to get food out more quickly once they have been open a little longer. Either that or they should just warn you up front that home baked pizza takes a while :) The parking is on the right after you turn off the main road. At this point it is not clear that it is ok to park there for the restaurant. Hopefully they will add more signage soon. There is no handicapped access in front, just stairs. I asked the waitress and she said there is a ramp in the back to the kitchen, but it wasn't clear if that would work for someone in a wheel chair - maybe call first if you need help with access. Also a word of warning for parents of young children - there is a big window behind the corner booth that was open when we sat there. I know I am kinda paranoid about this, but the back of the booth was low enough that it would be really easy for a kid to fall right out the window. Not that this is a reason not to eat at Hideaways, just something to be aware of and maybe seat the kids away from the tempting edge. Hopefully they can figure out a way to make it safe, since the breeze was very nice with it open!

Just had the pear and cranberry salad, wonderful! Meat lover pizza was very good. Lots of meats, cheese, perfectly baked and wasn't greasy at all. Hubby and I split a small and have a few pieces left over for lunch. Wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. Thank you

My husband and I went here for dinner last night and enjoyed the experience. This place has good beer and pretty good pizza- a nice non-resort option. It's a new place so there are a few kinks to work out- but the staff was super friendly!

Booth was uncomfortable, waitress had attitude, waited an hour for our pizza, bill was $250 for three pizzas and two bottles of house Chardonnay. The cheese seemed rancid, the sauce was bad, and the texture of the crust was off. Wouldn't recommend.

It's good to see a new restaurant taking over the old Beamreach Restaurant location. Our pizza was excellent and so were the drinks. Chris, our server, provided free garlic toast when our pizza took longer than normal due to a busy Friday night crowd. Try the different mai-tai mixes or the hibiscus and pepper corn margarita.

The food is alright but overpriced. The Hawaiian pizza I had the first time I came here was surprisingly bland and the other pizzas I had were equally bland. The fettuccine pasta I had the second time was better but was over $30 with shrimp and was not a big portion at all. Overall I feel like this place is not worth the cash but if its the only thing you can walk to from your condo then it will have to do.

good pizza. lively atmosphere. Had to wait about 10 minutes for a table but waitress was great and food came quick (even though they were really busy). Was there at 730pm on a Friday and it was probably 85 degrees in there. The lighting was also spotlight(ish) Would have been 5 stars with some AC and some less intense lighting. All in all a good option on the N Shore. Wish they were open for lunch!

I enjoyed this place. Its not the greatest, pizza on earth, but exceed my expectations, so I gave it 5 stars. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place, but if I was in the area and looking for pizza, this is where I'd go.

We sat at our table at approximately 6:30 but didn't see our waitress until 6:45. By then we were ready to order food and drinks which we did. She arrived 15 minutes later with our salad and no drinks. My wife asked for our drinks. Another 10 minutes passed and she showed up with my wife's drink. I asked for my beer. With a puzzled face she said, "Oh" and named the wrong drink (she wrote down everything when originally ordered). After another 12-15 minutes she showed up with my beer and apologized for the delay. After another 10-15 minutes no food yet. By then we were tired of waiting and I asked our waitress to box our pizza to go. Yet another chance to wait. Our pizza arrived 10 minutes or so later. She put the check on the table and disappeared again. In reviewing the check we noticed she charged us for two beers instead of one. I took our boxes and the check to the front to pay and asked the bartender to see the manager. At this time we saw our waitress and told her about the error. We paid and left. The manager never showed up. The story does not end here. We got back home and noticed the pizza was almost burnt. On the positive side, we were seated promptly and the salad was excellent. I'd like to think these guys just had a bad night.

Do yourself a favor and do not eat at Hideaway's. I must acknowledge that my dining experience here was on Hideaways 4th night after opening, so hopefully in time they will work out the kinks. Also, the booths were really comfortable, and the atmosphere was casual- just what we were looking for- and not too loud. But- It was over a TWO HOUR ordeal, just for 3 people to get a salad and two pizzas. There was no wait for a table either, and the restaurant was only moderately busy, so it really was absurd. Everything was insanely slow. We ordered one Cranberry and Pear salad, which took forever to get, but was actually really good. I would ask for the dressing on the side though next time, it was a little much. Once the pizza finally came, we had to laugh at how wrong the order was. Keep in mind that at this point, the place had really died down and there really is no excuse for poor service. We had 2 "make your own" pizzas, and there were things missing from both pizzas, and things added that we hadn't ordered. Each topping costs an additional $1.75 or $2.15. When we asked our server about it, she said that she "hadn't heard us order those things" and proceeded to tell us what she "had heard," naming everything that was on the pizza in front of her. She wasn't very apologetic or nice about it. Granted, she did offer to throw the pizza back in the oven with pepperoni on it, but we hastily declined her offer for fear of having to wait any longer (we were already at well over 1.5 hours by now) for our food. Even worse, the pizza wasn't good. It had entirely too much cheese and a thick crust that was nothing to speak of. The quality of the pizza wasn't much better than Papa John's or Domino's. Our meal was ridiculously overpriced for the quality, and we all agreed that our money would have been much better spent elsewhere. This location has been the site for a number of failed restaurants over the years, and I expect that Hideaway's will follow suit.

Hideaway's Pizza Pub is brand new and so people with a lot of expectations might want to stay away until the restaurant has been open awhile. Actually I wish people with a lot of expectations would stop yelping about all their 'disappointments' in life. I was raised to identify those people as complainers and to avoid them. But they seem to flock to yelp and trip advisor as if what they have to offer is attractive. Complaining is not attractive... Ever. Hmmm. My husband and I had a great meal at the bar at Hideaway's Pizza Pub. The wine and liquor prices were exceptionally reasonable for the North Shore of Kauai. The place was full with lots of families and couples and at 8 pm we were glad to have a seat. The beet and orange arugula salad was excellent as was the beautiful'new school' white pizza. Delicious! We wanted to have the big New York striploin as well but we went for desert instead. No disappointments in dessertland! YumYum! The restaurant serves food until 10 pm and that is big help in an area where the restaurants close about 9pm.

Well after reading all the posts to date regarding Hideaways my wife and I were reluctant to try it, but I am glad we did. Most of the other reviews said nice things about the food, the most consistent complaint was the length of time it took to get the food...We did not experience that issue. The place was busy and we had our drinks and salad in approx 10 min and we got our wonderful Greek pizza in approx 20-25 min...The server a young lady with short dark hair was excellent she checked with our after each item was brought to the table but she didn't over do it..My wife and I know the restaurant business as we have both spent a number of years in the service, she ran the kitchen (Los gatos Brewing Co ) and my dad started & owned Zackary's ..We thought they did such a great job compared to the reviews, we talked with the manager to let her know what a great job everyone did, left a good tip too.

Can't say enough great things about this awesome new addition to the Princeville area! Annette and Joshua are the best, providing great customer service in addi to on to all the other team members who seem to work wonderfully together! Love the menu selections and array of good beers on tap. Nice, family friendly atmosphere with super yummy eats. We had the spinach fondue and sinatra cigar appetizers, sooooo good and literally large enough to be meals themselves. The Hawaiian pizza and lasagna were good as well as we're the Caesar and Greek salads. All too good left us no room for what we're probably delightful desserts. Already looking forward do our third meal here in a few days! Earlier this week we had the kauai garden pizza and blanco, the garden pizza was one of the best I've ever had!

Solid place to grab an easy dinner if you're not wanting to go to the bay. We walked in (2 people) and were seated promptly. Friendly staff and attentive service, clean place with good ambiance - lots of couples and families with little kids but spacious enough. Had a few salads that were great, and shared a pizza. Being from New York, we know that comparing most places to our favorites at home is a mistake, but the pizza wasn't bad at all! Not a super thin crust but crisp so I was happy. Sauce was solid - not too sweet, and used generously so the pizza wasn't dry. I'd stay away from dessert though -- in retrospect it was a mistake to order the cannoli- it clearly wasn't fresh, but rather defrosted and the cream was icy and separated. Oh and the chocolate chips were served on top and not mixed into the cream (I know, I'm being a totally ridiculous New York Italian right now!) Bill for two with a beer and a glass of wine came to about $85. Not bad at all. We'd def come back here!

I was very excited to see Hideaways open! The restaurant is located in the Pali Ke Kua condos and does overlook the Complexes pool and spa area. Hideaways itself is not part of the Hoa or used by the Hoa. We went during the opening week so I am being a little generous with giving them 4 stars as they do have some kinks to work out but I went in expecting that so it did not bother me or the friends I was with. The service was good from start to finish. They have a nice Full bar along with a good selection of tap and bottled bears. The drinks are reasonably priced. The food prices range from Mid to high but most restaurants in Kauai fall into that range. We ordered the Ginger Crusted Seared Ahi, New York Steak, and pasta. The steak was good. My wife and son enjoyed their pasta. The Ginger crusted seared ahi lacked the ginger flavor to me but the Ahi itself was fresh and cooked correctly. The pizza they were cooking which we did not order smelled great and by looking around the restaurant it was a popular choice. The inside is nice and open, I agree with some of the reviews that the ahh factor on the inside is a little dull but I was enjoying the view of the mountains and island on the outside. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor so you have a good view. Hideaways does have some kinks to work out but once they do I think they will be a solid choice. It is nice to have a restaurant around the area outside of the ones inside the westin etc.

We arrived on a Sun. night and were seated promptly. I've read all the reviews and there was almost no wait for any of our order even though the restaurant was full. We were served water, and always refilled timely. Our wine was good and also came quickly. Bread was served with the wine order. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, got everything right. It looked to me like all the servers worked at a fast pace if not almost a run. I had the Napolitano Pasta and it was chock full of vegetables. My husband had the Caesar Salad which was not quite authentic but fresh, and the spaghetti and meat balls. He is a big eater but almost couldn't finish the four huge meat balls. I couldn't finish all of my serving but love take home for lunch the next day which was still very appetizing. He ordered the brownie sundae and said it was also very good. I'd like to see that with some toasted coconut or optional banana for a more tropical offering. All in all it was an enjoyable meal with great service.

Decent service and pizza. No ambiance at all. Big room, lots of noise. Think the place is actually in the condo association's community room.

Food is fine but the service and organization is horrendous. Waitress seemed high and the kitchen couldn't get orders right and certainly not together for a table of four.

Living very close to this place (close enough to walk to it) I was curious about the quality of the pizza even though the two people I talked to gave me two different view. One thought it was not very good and the other thought it wasn't bad. My background is that I am a home pizza maker and for the last 4 years have had a wood fired oven. I have been to some of the best Pizza places in the USA (although not enough) including Frank Pepe's in New Haven and Apizza Scholls in Portland and several other 5 star places. I was prepared to find this place wanting. I was surprised when we ate the Pizza at the care and quality of the product. Good crust, good toppings and an oven that got a good browning on the outside. We got the Bianco which was the only one that truly called out to me and it was well balanced and well made. For the Hawaii, this was fairly priced. It is better than Brick Oven Pizza in Kalaheo and Wailua (good but over rated in my opinion) and pretty close to Pau Hana in Kilauea, probably Kauai's best. I have not tasted the other products and do not make any recommendation of those---but the pizza is pretty darn good. If you don't like there combinations, you can make your own which I may do in the future.

The pizza is decent, and again you only have a couple of options in the Princeville/Hanalei area. The service is pretty slow there, even when the place is empty. I will say, the gal who fills the water is on top of things. I'm not sure I'd eat there again. I like Pizza Man at the nui and I'd be interested to try the pizza at the Kilauea bakery.

Lasagna was good but we got it twice and the portion was smaller on day 2. Kale salad could have been more citric/acidic to break down the kale (or dressed earlier). Slightly overpriced as well, even for hawaii, and I rarely complain since I'm from wine country. The service was pleasant and we were seated quickly. The tiramisu was a little wet but my husband had no trouble devouring it. I would give this a Midwest 5 and a California 3.5. Sorry I can't give you a5, I'm just spoiled and I hope my Californian readers understand the standards.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
