This is L&L. It is decent food. It always take way too long. Prices are cheap. There are way better L&L locations. This just takes way too long for mediocre food.

Worst location ever. 2 year old tasting freezer meat and garlic shrimp salad that tasted like pure garlic on a bed of cabbage. Ended up walking out; throwing my entire mostly uneaten order in the trash can and eating at the black rock. This location is very bad for L&L's reputation and their franchise license should be yanked. This place has always been empty and I should've resisted my wife's desire to go and order there; dirty always empty place; and I love going to L&L normally.

We frequent this L&L often on the weekends because it's cheap and easy when you are on the go. However, we have now experienced the worst customer service on the island at this L&L!!! Drove 7 miles to pick up our food and when we got it home, order was wrong. Called to explain and they said that we were not telling the truth, that what we got was what we ordered. After they refused to make the order right, I asked to speak with the owner, and I clearly heard the owner in the background refuse to speak with me (in plain English), and when the employee came back on the phone, she said "You really wanna drive 7 miles over 50 cents? ." I asked to speak to the owner again, and the employee said the owner doesn't speak good enough English and wouldn't talk to me (the owner was the one that took our order in the first place). After several attempts to get the right order, the employee hung up on me. Besides all of that, the food is usually just ok, and this time, it was down right nasty. Cold, stale fries, overcooked rubbery meat on the burger, and slopped together very hastily. You've lost a customer L&L. I would hope that maybe corporate cares more than the inadequate and rude owner of the L&L in Pahoa.

The Chinese buffet wasn't badly priced, but it was institutional. The real killer, in a nearly literal sense, was the awful hamburger made of who knows what. Coqui frogs perhaps? Friendly Chinese woman at the counter but don't waste your money here. I hope the other L&L place in and around Hilo are different.
