They are serious when they say they close at 2! We arrived at 1:50pm and they told us we could only order take-out. Hahah it was all good tho cause we got to enjoy our burgers and fries oceanside (very nice ;) ) I ordered the teriyaki beef burger while the hubby ordered the Hukilau burger. Double yum in our tummys Hahah.. A bit hard to find and you should use the navi to get in the area; however turn on the street where the Lai'e sign is and not on the next street (that is if you're coming from North Shore) Much easier to find that way (my navi led me the wrong way initially) have fun!!
i love the supreme omelette, french toast, panacakes and hungry hawaiian! so worth the walk down the street!
This place is so good its cheep and the people there are really nice. The serves is really fast.

I didn't expect the price to be so high, but that's fine now that I know. I am looking forward to bringing my 8 year old here when she's visiting, because there are a LOT of activities that I know she'll love. The only thing I thought was kind of weird was the fact that the tram tour takes you to the temple (which looks beautiful), and you watch a video about Mormonism or something. You don't have to go, though, like I chose not to. It was a fun atmosphere though, and the kids working there are on scholarship for BYU for the most part, so they're happy to be there. The views aren't bad either!
so boring !nothing to eat in the buffet ,What's more?Especially the 1.5hours show only yelling yelling yelling.A small place in north point waste your time and money
Definitely a place to visit if you enjoy culture. First of all, it's an all day thing starting at 1200 so plan and prepare for it. I would recommend sunscreen, comfortable, presentable clothing and shoes, an umbrella, and bottles of water. You can purchase drinks there but it's cheaper to bring your own. The people there are very friendly and will give you awesome directions to whatever you are trying to attend. The center also has maps and schedules so you can stay on top of all the shows they present of all the islands. I recommend the Ohana Lua package which consists of the the tour of the center, the Lua, and the Breath of Life show which is during the evening. The tour consists of a number of islands and their cultures, which includes activities, dances, songs, shows, and food that include interaction with the crowd and children. Awesome games and dances to take part of to truly appreciate the different cultures of the islands. The Ohana Lua is a celebration which consists of more dancing, culture, and a lot of food, like all you can eat. The food is extremely delicious and plenty for all. Great dinner and a show. the breath of life Hula show is amazing. Great combination of lights, music, singing, and dancing that tells a tale of family and tradition. I highly recommend the show. It's a show that is about an hour and a half long, with a combination of all of the islands cultural dances and songs. It has a intermission where they serve ice cream for about five dollars or free if you get the ambassador package. Plenty of beautiful colors, cultures, and family fun. This was my second time attending and I recommend all.

Angel’s Ice Cream

Since this place had an outlet they were willing to let us use, we bought some shaved ice. The consistency was similar to a snow cone rather than shaved ice, but the flavors were good. There wasn't a wait, which was fantastic and hey, still can't go wrong with any kinda iced-based product while in Hawaii, right?
Angel's Halo with macadamia nut ice cream on the bottom and shredded coconut on top. To die for! Awesome.
$3.50 for soft serve that was worse than McDonalds... Very expensive place for low quality product, a $6.00 banana shake doesn't even have bananas in it (it features banana soft serve). They are absolutely obsessed with putting "powder" flavoring in everything instead of the real thing. They even have the gull to charge $10.00 for a banana split. Yikes.

If you know me, you know I might have a slight addiction...scratch that, you know I have a major obssession with Subway. We're talkin a serious relationship here. I've learned that not all Subways are created equal. Not everyone has the same toppings, same sandwiches, and most in Hawaii don't have soups! I am a firm believer in Christ, but if I wasn't this Subway would have made me a believer. I walked in on my lunch hour and was a good 5 people back in line with only two "sandwich artists" at work, I instantly thought, great, there goes my lunch hour, cause let's face it, we all know these "artists" usually aren't the speediest at creating their masterpieces. Wrong! These girls were amazing! I don't know how they did it, but I had my sandwich in hand and was back in my car before I knew what had hit me! Not only is the service at this place better than I've ever experienced, but I didn't expect them to have avocado AND soup(!) all the way out here in Laie!
I like this subway, the people are nice. 'nuff said

Best Chinese food in North Shore! Asian lovers should go. The cold ginger chicken is a must.
I've never been more disgusted dining in a restaurant than I was dining here tonight. We had no intention of eating here but our first choice of restaurants closed early. Laie Chop Suey was on the way home and we were starving, so we pulled in. We ordered spring rolls, oxtail soup and honey walnut shrimp. We also ordered char Sui and shrimp fried rice but apparently the waitress forgot to write it done, so we never got it. When all was said and done we didn't care! About 3/4 of the way through our dinner (thank goodness it wasn't earlier) the kid at the next table was kicking around a dead roach on the floor that was covered in dust. I swear I wanted to vomit! The idiot dad just sat there and smiled (but don't get me started on THAT in this review). We very politely asked for the check, paid our bill and got the heck out of Dodge! Oh, forgot to mention I stopped off at the bathroom on the way out and there was a shrimp shell on the bathroom floor! I told my husband on the way home if I end up with food poisoning, please have the ambulance at least take me to Queens! I might die if I am taken to Kahuku! We will NEVER RETURN! Health Department should be on alert.
So many negative reviews.... I personally had a pretty good experience here. I had been sick and in great need for some soup, however I did not want to drive all the way into Kane'ohe for some oxtail soup or pho. My fiancee on the other hand had wanted to eat chopy suey which was not at all what i wanted, but I agreed to go along for the ride. However, when we got there I discovered that to my pleasant surprise they had oxtail soup! We kind of forgot that portions are a little big for one person so we ended up with plenty of left overs. Prices were very fare. What we ordered: Oxtail soup - yummy, plenty of veggies. not much oxtail and i think i'd prefer zippys oxtail. Mushroom chicken - big fat mushrooms, decent amount of chicken Gon lo mein - as good as any other i've eaten Service was decent and overall i left content and full of soup :)

Taco Bell

Reviews:
Get there with myself and another customer waiting while cashier has her back to us talking to another employee! After less than a minute she takes my order and ask if dine in or to go and I distinctly remember saying to go! Food comes out quickly on a tray to dine in, when I say this was supposed to be to go the girl says I told her dine in so that's what she punched in! Maybe she misunderstood me but point is you don't have to prove you were right and make me wrong and get rid of the additude!
I have had several ups and downs with this Taco Bell, it's been in the community for awhile now and pretty much the only "Mexican" restaurant on our side. Over all it's good, as good as Taco Bell can get. The staff has been relatively pleasent. I only had one extremely bad experience there with a cashier, fortunately that was taken care of by corporate. Oddly enough I've been there a few times this week, and noticed something kind of disturbing. The manager there as he is preparing food wears gloves, which is good. Then I noticed something, he also walks over opens doors and handles cash and other things, then back to preparing the food...all with the SAME GLOVES! I'm a bit of a germ a phob, so needless to say it creeped me out abit. I don't know, I think it could be better
Very small taco bell. Very limited seating and packed to the gills! The only reason I wanted Taco Bell while I was in Hawaii, was because I honestly figured they'd have something with spam or kalua pork in it... and I was right! Fast forward after ordering and sitting outside on the lovely terrace, behold my kalua pork XXL quesadilla. Absolute heaven! And I loved it! It was huge, and packed with all the good stuff. My husband had the kalua pork grilled stuffed burrito and he also loved it. Food was good, and hot. The poor workers of Taco Bell handled the hungry mob like champs. It's also in very close proximity to a shaved ice place! How could you go wrong with this choice???

Alii Luau

Polynesian Cultural Center,55-370 Kamehameha Hwy
Laie, 96762
Reviews:
The Polynesian Cultural Center is a great experience, but this review is for the Luau. Basically, avoid this Luau at all cost. The "entertainment' during the luau is very short, the food is on par with a $10 buffet. The fish is super dry and just bland, no flavor. The chicken teriyaki is gross, its basically plain chicken and they poured the sauce on top, the pork is just mediocre, that was their three main courses, the rest is rice, fruits and salad.
I'm not sure why people are ripping on this so bad. I don't have any other luau experiences to compare to, but for my first one, I left here entertained and with a belly full of great food... I don't think I could have asked for much more. It sounds like a lot of people went here and only focused on the negatives. Of course they had a horrible time. The Polynesian Cultural Center has a lot of grounds and staff to keep up with,so of course they are going to try to make money and charge high prices for simple things such as pictures and smoothies. Just don't buy those items... your experience won't be any worse without a smoothie or a picture taken by the staff (ask another Luau goer to take a picture of you/your group for free). We looked at many different Luaus on both the Big Island and Oahu and decided this one sounded the best. We knew we wanted to check out the Cultural Center, so that entry was already a fixed cost for us. Compare the extra fee of attending the Luau and it's actually cheaper to do a day here than every other Luau we looked at. Our food was excellent. There were a ton of different options to choose from and you eat as much as you want. I tried almost everything, and like almost all of it (not a fan of Poi). Go here, make a day out of it, learn about the cultures, watch their presentations, get stuffed and entertained at the Luau, and cap off the night with Ha. There will be negatives to it, like there are everything, but it's a lot of fun and a great way to spend the entire day/evening.
#cousinT was a great host at the best luau. We love the PCC. The luau was the perfect ending to a great day of food, fun, and culture. The live music was fantastic and CousinT was perfect MC. Such a great voice and personality. The dancers of course we're also amazing. Well worth the drive #bestattraction #bestluau

It's been a while since I've been here and I was pleasantly surprised with the new location. It seemed clean and upgraded. I enjoyed my healthy plate option although I don't consider fried fish healthy it was tasty especially with all the yummy garlic on it.
Although a few of the parts of the meal were very tasty (believe it or not the macaroni salad was great) I can't recommend this. Food was basically mediocre and the place was a dive.
Nah, don't get your food here. It's just not worth it, it's tasteless and expensive, not worth the money. Service isn't good either. If you want authentic local food go somewhere else just not L&L.
