If you're looking for a easy, quick, and inexpensive breakfast, this is the place! Tried their egg sandwiches this morning and they were perfect: two fried eggs, bacon, your choice of cheese & your choice of bread. No frills, just good, fresh ingredients and fast service. They have two tables outside in front of the restaurant if you want to eat there (we did). Totally dig it and would go back for sure.

Boars head meats Staff was very friendly My wife ordered a turkey n Swiss on wheat and she really liked it.

Friendly service and good prices. The bread is so good. Soft inside and a nice toast crunch outside. The bread really makes the sandwich here. Plenty of options and specialty sandwiches are on the menu. Didn't try the salads but the sandwich was so big it wasn't needed.

Such a hidden gem. Super small, un-assuming little spot in old Koloa Town. Expectations were tempered, but they blew it out of the water. Not kidding, one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time - had the Godfather. Family was equally happy with their choices. Bravo!

Quaint deli with delicious sandwiches. I recommend the tuna melt and Godfather. Staff is super friendly and the place is very clean. There's plenty of meat and bread to choose from! Heard breakfast is good here. Will come again to try it out!

Quiet little deli tucked in a strip mall a stones throw from Old Koloa town. All sandwiched are made to order with Boar's Head meats and cheese, in addition to in-house made specialties. We opted for the daily special, a Hot Chick - Buffalo chicken panini with pepperjack, tomato, onions and pepperoncini peppers; it was absolutely fantastic! We wish we had discovered this place a little sooner during our stay.

Great little deli we stumbled upon driving through town. Service was very friendly and sandwiches were delicious. We ordered the TAP (turkey avocado provolone) and hoagie, both exceeded our expectations. Would definitely come back and try breakfast.

Delicious veggie sammie loaded with red onion, avocado, pepperoncini, tomato, black olives, lettuce, artichoke hearts, cheese, and oil and vinegar. Bread is freshly-baked, veggies are fresh and tasty. One of our fave Koloa spots!

  • Deborah K.

Loved our breakfast sandwiches and friendly service!

  • Mark W.

Stopped in here with my wife after a hike. Ordered the tuna melt and a custom turkey sandwich on their deli roll. Both were fantastic and fresh. Also got a side of the macaroni and Italian bean salad - best bean salad I've ever had. Overall, I recommend you stop in if you're craving that perfect deli experience. Aloha.

Love this place. Fresh Boars Head (best brand) deli meat, great breads (the koloa roll stays well for packed lunches) and fair prices for the quality you get. I also cannot forget the friendly service! Easy in and out and great to pack for a beach picnic sandwich lunch. They have chips, salads and yummy desserts in the fridge too! I recommend this place for lunch!

  • Marco P.

Their veggie sandwich is just incredible, packed with a lot of fresh vegetables and pickled artichokes and bell peppers. This is a must go place for vegeterians and vegans in Koloa. Super nice customer service!!

  • Mona L.

Great sandwiches, nice service...very helpful to order something to go...we were going to the beach and they helped us pack what we needed and how we needed it. Love that they serve quality boars head deli meat too...bread was great and they have yummy pies in the fridge to go. Price is fair enough for the quality you get and we will be back again.

Yum! Delicious breakfast sandies for a price that wont break the bank. Limited seating outside, but good for grab and go.

    (5)
  • Mike P.

Delicious! The veggie sandwich is amazing! The pancakes are fantastic! Good coffee, cold soda cans. Very limited seating (two patio tables). Next to a cool "jewelry" store and across the street from the Post Office. Will return!

    (5)
  • Shannon N.

Friendly service. Fair prices. Great selection. Can't ask for too much more! Get sandwiches here and head to the beach.

  • Dara H.

We ate at this deli two times during our trip. The ingredients were all high quality and the owner/manager was very friendly. The only downside is limited seating.

    (5)
  • Lindsey S.

Koloa deli is absolutely amazing, I love their deli bread, our family often gets the veggie and the godfather but I personally get a turkey bacon with avocado sandwich! The salads are also good and we just discovered they are open for breakfast!! Count me in! Only downfall is parking... The lot in back is small, an street parking rare, but worth the walk so park in the neighbor lot and come on over!!

Came here after zip lining for lunch and had one of the specials of the day, a turkey reuben. The meat to bread ratio was solid and it had good flavor. This place is a good alternative if you're not in the mood for a plate lunch. On the downside, it was really hot inside. I think they were skimping on the AC and there was practically no outside seating available.

    (4)
  • Emma O.

We had breakfast and lunch here on the day we went zip lining. Overall, a nice, affordable and yummy place to eat. And the staff is very pleasant. For breakfast, I had the bacon, egg and cheddar cheese on a deli roll and my husband had a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. We each got a coffee, and our bill came to $18. We ate our breakfast on the deck of the deli. The sandwiches were good and the coffee was ok... Your run of the mill burnt diner tasting coffee. I really enjoyed having my sandwich on the deli roll. For lunch we split "the hoagie" sandwich, a bag of chips and a can of juice. Our bill for lunch was $12. The sandwich tasted very fresh and was really good. Overall, this place was a great stop for breakfast and lunch and is a nice alternative to the other food offered on the island.

My sister lives up the road from this place, so we stopped in to grab a sandwich before heading to the beach. I'm glad we did. I got the veggie for no good reason, just because. Again, glad I did. The roll was so great. Soft, not crusty so it didn't make a mess. Good flavor. Lots of good veggies, though it was supposed to have pepperoncini which I didn't taste. I got it with oil and vinegar so I didn't need to worry about mayo or meat going bad in the sun if I didn't eat it fast enough. The ladies at the counter were pleasant and quick. The sandwiches are. Bit spendy (8-11$ each) but grab a side of pasta salad and split it with a friend. They are pretty good sized. Nice selection of drinks to go, not just soda. Think I may have to stop back in later this week for another.

My wife and I stopped in for sandwiches today. She got the Vegetarian and I got the Godfather. The quality of the ingredients was OK but it was very dry. They don't seem to like non natives here as she kept our meals behind the counter after they were prepared to serve several others. my wife saw them and she did not hand them to her and she had me wait another 5 min when I came in after she said she would bring them to us. She did come over to the local next to us to ask if they needed mayo and brought their meal to them.

  • michelle d.

I am not sure what is driving the good reviews. I had a veggie sandwich and my husband had the godfather. Both sandwiches were ok, but nothing noteworthy. The service was very poor. I stood next to the cash register, by the person that took my order, looking at my sandwiches on the counter behind her. She ignored me for about 5+ minutes and I finally walked away. My husband went in and was also ignored. During the 15-20 minute wait, all other customers that ordered after us, came out with their sandwich.

I love delis..Such a sucker for delis!!! I loved this place and so did my husband. They use Boar's Head meats which of course are the best and delicious bread. Their flavor combos are delicious. We ended up eating here twice. They have special sandwiches depending on the day of course, kept me full all afternoon and an even better plus, very affordable. The location is easy to get to, seating is of course limited but if you don't mind snuggling up with strangers it is just fine. They package everything up nicely for you if you want to take it to go and another important plus, friendly staff!

  • Troy C.

If you are in the mood for a good sandwich the Koloa Deli has you covered. You get a good sandwich with quality ingredients at a reasonable price.

Great sandwich shop, made to order! A nice place to grab lunch. Call in your order and pick it up to eat on the beach!

    (5)
  • Monica S.

The veggie sandwich and italian bean salad were great! The bread was so soft and fresh. I'm vegan and my boyfriend isn't, so we split the veggie and I just asked for no mayo and cheese on my half, and they were accommodating to my request--- with no funny looks. We stopped at the big save, got a couple beers and we enjoyed them on the little patio they have set up outside... What a perfect way to start our day... Great service-- great food-- and a great brew..

  • Chuck L.

Tried to get here but there are so many good places to eat when you are here but we went the day before we left and got a Godfather to take on the plane. My wife and I split it. Very good sammy, kept well overnight can highly recommend this place. staff very friendly

  • Wendy A.

Awesome sandwiches and deserts! Super friendly owners that want to make sure you are happy! Boar's Head meat and cheese makes the sandwiches extra yummy!

    (5)
  • Sum Dum Gai S.

Super nice staff with an efficient system for cranking out the sandwiches. They store is small with additional parking in the rear if you do not snag one of the spots along the store front street. Engage daily specials which are the way to go IMO.

    (4)
  • Chris L.

This place was just what we were looking for to get us started on a busy beach day. They have some simple breakfast options like eggs and bacon or a breakfast sandwich. Their deli has some great sandwich options and Boar's Head brand meats. There are also some good prepared salads. The prices are just right and they will pack sandwiches to go for you. It's a small little shop just past the main section of historic Koloa. There isn't any space to eat inside but there are a couple of tables on their deck. Absolutely worth a stop in if your plan is to go explore the island for the day.

    (5)
  • Alyse S.

It's okay as long as you don't get skipped over for the locals. Great customer service...

  • Eugene C.

I come to HI often on business and prefer to eat where locals eat. This place offers by far the best breakfast on the island!! Delicious food, spotless clean and tastefully arranged space, friendly and fast service, surprisingly inexpensive. I wish I could give them 6 stars!

    (5)
  • Frankly T.

Excellent sandwiches, especially the french dip roast beef. The hoagie is also good. Prices seem a little high, at basically $10 a sandwich. Everything is expensive in Hawaii.

    (4)
  • S Y.

My cousin got a Panini here, which she ate up and didn't share! I even have a pic of her eating half a sandwich while standing in the ocean... Who does that? haha! Me, I got a slice of the Macadamia Nut Cream Pie I found in the refrigerator section while grabbing some water bottles. I get a bit skeptical with my desserts that sit in a fridge, not knowing how fresh it is or what else it could taste like. But this slice of pie was delicious! Super creamy in a flaky crust with crushed macadamia nuts for crunch. Such a nice find in a deli!

    (4)
  • Megs H.

So deceiving. You wouldn't think it's that impressive but those sandwiches... whoa! Get the pesto club and a side of clam chowder, and you can thank me later.

    (5)
  • Rob D.

Had them make a custom sandwich which they were happy to do. They have individual ingredients listed for such a situation. Turkey, Koloa roll, Swiss, mayo - was great. Only two tables outside though.

    (4)
  • Hattori H.

This place was around the corner from Kauai ATV so we got breakfast sandwiches here. Wife ordered a ham, egg, cheese sandwich and I ordered a bacon, egg, cheese bagel sandwich. Both were good and a simple way to start off the day. They use Boar's Head cold cuts, which is a plus.

    (4)
  • Sub R.

Small sandwich place with limited parking. But great food ! Possibly the best moderately priced option in the area.

    (5)
  • Rob B.

The bread is amazing, they make it everyday and it comes out of the oven at 9:30 am. We got the Godfather, the Hogie and the Veggie and took them on the plane home. They were all great. Ask for napkins on thing missing from our bag.

  • Kellie L.

My sister and I had lunch here yesterday after arriving in Kauai. I picked it out because of the reviews on Yelp, so thank you. I would have given five stars except my sister didn't like her sandwich, I however thought mine was delicious. She had turkey on wheat and said her bread was a little to thick, hard and sweet for her liking. I had a bacon and avocado on the deli roll and it was perfect, exactly what I needed after a long flight. If you are in the mood for friendly service and a sandwich made from quality ingredients check this place out, it won't disappoint.

  • Emerson T.

Yummy sandwich shop hidden away in Koloa. Easy to miss if you're not looking for it. But it's worth looking for. The sandwiches are delicious and big for the price. Delicious bread. Just the right amount of everything on it. The cole slaw and potato salad are kind of pedestrian. But the sandwiches are worth the trip The place is kind of small and very busy. Everybody is working as fast as they can, but you might still have a 10 minute wait. So what? Relax. It's Kauai. Perfect stop for taking something yummy to the beach. I will be back.

  • Amanda A.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Deli and Bread. I've been here twice, every time I visit home and both times I've had different sandwiches and they were both amazing! I like that they slice the meat right there when you order it. I like seeing my food being prepared. The meat also has great flavor. The pastrami actually has that pastrami flavor, not like that fake stuff you find in plastic bags in the grocery store. The clam chowder is also amazing. Sometimes I like to dip my sandwich into the soup. You should try it, it's amazeballs! The deli also seems very clean and the workers are always friendly. I usually always get one of their specials and am always satisfied. If you want a deli experience on Kauai and want a delicious sandwich stop by Koloa Deli. *Deli and Bread buys their meat from Costco. Not worth the price now huh.

  • Kailyn G.

Stopped by to grab sandwiches to bring on our day hike. The Hoagie was pretty tasty to me. A good portion of meat, plus a nice balance of cheese. Bread is brushed with butter or oil it looks like and a little bit of red pepper flakes for a nice spicy kick. If you need a quick bite, this is perfect.

    (3)
  • Yunkyung C.

This place has amazing sandwiches and the portions are large. Big bonus, the place is super clean and the staff is friendly. We ordered a spaghetti plate lunch special too, which pales in comparison to the sandwiches.

  • Razel M.

I'm Filipino --- I don't do sandwiches. Bread, yes, I like bread for breakfast and as a snack, but as an actual meal? I'd be hungry again in an hour or so. If every deli made sandwiches like Koloa Deli though... I dunno dude, I might have to reconsider my position. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was bomb. Warm, tasty, and they weren't skimping on the meat. Bread was great too, the crunchy kind that doesn't hurt the roof of your mouth. Had a bite of somebody's pesto club and I gotta say, even though I hella enjoyed my sandwich and I really don't like avocado too much, I would get that pesto club in a heartbeat, would've done it right then and there if I'd had any room to spare. In general everyone in the group found their food delicious and totally value for money! It's in old Koloa on the road between Poipu and Kapaa. We were actually looking for some other spot but stumbled onto this and I'm glad we did!

    (5)
  • Kelly E.

Pretty expensive place for sandwiches. Although they were very tasty, $9 for a turkey and cheese panini... eeeek. Yes, some of the items are probably hot commodities on the island and I was likely suffereing from never ending food sticker shock, but if I wasn't on vacation, I'd never pay that much. Way to stick it to the tourists. :-p All that being said, the food here was really delicious. Great meats and great sandwiches in general. Good place to check out if you're in the mood for deli.

  • Steve V.

Great little sandwich deli! Sweet owner and just a cute little place!!! Had the Hogie, turkey, and Cobb. Delish!

    (5)
  • Davesy D.

A great little deli shop in Koloa. This place can almost be overlooked. The sandwiches here are amazingly good! Some people think that their prices are a bit high but the sandwiches are worth it. Regardless eating in Kauai can be pretty pricey.

    (5)
  • Rebecca F.

Koloa's Deli is a great little sandwich spot. I love that they have Boarshead products, and their sandwiches were so good, I went back several times over my week-long trip. They did run out of avocado halfway through the week though. Sandwich was still delicious, but I'm vegetarian and need my avocado. Even so, I would definitely recommend this place!

    (4)
  • Susan W.

Better then big saves fresh deli sandwiches. Lots of meat great deli rolls. They r located across from the post office in koloa. Lacked a bit of flavor but good overall. Was able to split a sandwich with my hubby and still had a difficult time eatting it all.

    (4)
  • Saminda W.

The Mafia panini with prosciutto, ham, provolone, mozzarella, and pepperoncini peppers was amazing.

    (4)
  • Sparky T.

Reasonable option for sandwiches. Bread is fresh - I understand they make their own. They use Boarshead meats whcih is touted but did not seem like a selling point to me. I guess it is a quality 'imported' brand but I would prefer something less commercial. ----------------------------- NOTE: This review (and others on HI) were based on a tourist / vacationers perspective. I would expect that may be different from reviews from locals. Keep that in mind. It would be nice if Yelp allowed a visitor/local indicator on the reviews. Also, I think all of my reviews on Kauai could start with "A bit pricey..." or "Very expensive..." just due to the location. Everything is expensive here and locations near touristy areas even more so. Take that as a given. I also noted that I tend to be giving very high star scores. This was a bit of a concern until I realized we were primarily going to places that were well rated by other Yelpers. If you only go to good places then the reviews will naturally be skewed to the higher end. Thanks to all the Yelpers that helped us find so many good places!

Great sandwiches. Homemade bread and flavorful toppings. Godfather sandwich was a great Italian sub with artichoke hearts. BLTA was everything you would expect. Everything felt homemade and carefully selected. Good option for deli in south Kauai.

  • H D.

The sandwich was good but the speculate was awful...stick to the sandwiches to be safe.

    (2)
  • Mel A.

Best deli on the island. Top grade deli meats and fresh rolls. I love the idea of having an Italian influence on the sandwiches. The specials are always great daily and the chowder is homemade and delicious. Service is nice and quick and workers are friendly.

    (4)
  • Sammy L.

Had the $3.00 cup of clam chowder that came with a pre-buttered half sliced white bread. The chowder was pretty typical, potato, clams and creamy. Great little snack if passing by Koloa town. They sell cheese, Boars head meats and cold drinks. The customer service is ok, for what it is. Everything is take out, the seating outside is not packed and available.

  • Brianna G.

Stopped in when we couldn't find a breakfast place open on a Monday. My fiancé got the pancake plate. I was surprised at how good they were!!! I ordered a turkey sandwich loved the fresh sandwich roll!!!!! The only think I didn't like was it looked like the pasta salads in the window were leftover from the day before.

    (3)
  • Kate S.

I'm addicted to this place! Love the godfather sandwich. So yummy. Get a sandwich to take with you to the beach!

    (5)
  • Jon J.

Taste would be a 5 star, 4 for the price. My wife and I both got Reubens and a drink. That was a special that day and it cost us $23 total. Service was also very friendly.

  • Elissa D.

The food situation on the South side of the Island is pretty dire. We took a chance on what seemed to be some pretty great Yelp reviews for a pretty basic looking deli, and weren't disappointed. Bagel and egg sandwich with bacon? Yes. Delicious. Good Coffee We were hiking the swamp trail later in the day, so we took sandwiches to go. I think I got the Hoagie...really good Italian style sub. Good meats, good bread. Great find. Highly recommended for a low-key breakfast, sandwich, coffee or snacks.

    (4)
  • Ann S.

We got the hoagie and the Godfather to take home for dinner later. It was good but it's a deli sandwich and it didn't necessarily skyrocket past what we thought it would be. The girl working there seemed like she was irritated to have to work when we came in. We'd likely go back especially for a picnic but maybe call ahead and have it ready when we get there.

Today's visit on the island was to Koloa. After an hour shopping we got hungry and while there were several places to eat we know that the locals have their favorites and we weren't disappointed! We were guided to Koloa deli where we dined on several sandwiches. I had the HTH pannini and I all I could say was OMG!! This was the best sandwich ever, seriously sooooo good. You have to try one on your visit to Kauai.

    (5)
  • Kara B.

You have to go! People in there are so stinkin nice and food is amazing!!! Whoot! And they serve boars head meat my fav :) love this cute little deli 5 stars

Very good sandwiches, and they follow directions well. I had mine wrapped in lettuce and they did a good job. Pickles were good too!

  • SoCal G.

My husband and I ate at the Koloa deli during our vacation to Kauai and thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches. I got the vegetable sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was soft, the veggies were fresh, the vinegar and oil was just right and the addition of artichoke hearts was perfect! I 100% recommend Koloa deli!!!!

    (5)

Godfather was delicious and so was the bread. Nice to eat outside. 1 star taken off for surly-ish girl that took our order.

I wouldn't go to Hawaii, much less Kauai for their delis but as east coast city dwellers, we decided to have a hoagie one day as an easy lunch. I'm glad we did. Their deli rolls were fresh (think they bake them there). Their portions were good for the price (Kauai is expensive as it is). Solid, fresh, good sandwiches. I actually went in and asked if they were from Philly or New York and they said they are actually from California. I was a bit surprised, but happy to chat with them and enjoy their work all the same. The Big Save mart also makes sandwiches but after stopping here, this was my spot to pick up lunch for a day at the beach or a hike. Just keep in mind they close fairly early, so make it your lunch spot, not dinner. Disclaimer - I lived in California for 15 years and know they have good food, but there are certain items that are just far better back east - delis are one of them.

Nothing special here. Serviceable sandwich with passable hog dogs and pasta salad. Over-priced but seems to be the only gsme in town for a sandwich. Hop over to the Koloa Fish Market instead and get the Lau Lau combo.

  • Nali M.

i was inbetween job number 1 and job number 2 and was in a rush to get something good to eat. i was headed towards the fish market, but i caught the deli sign out of the corner of my eye and decided that i'd try it out instead. they're located next to the wine shop in old koloa town (across from the post office). they have a nice little area on their patio out front for you to sit and enjoy your food. i walked in and their digs were reallllllly nice!! i didn't know they have been there since last july. the girls behind the counter (one of them is actually my classmate) were super nice and friendly. they answered all of my questions and were very great with recommendations. i decided to stick to what i usually get when it comes to a sandwich. this deli has boar head products (they advertise that on a sign outside). i guess it's a good brand. everything was really tasty. best thing about it? they make their own bread. talk about super soft and yummy!! glad i've got a great deli option on the south side instead of subway now.

TWO WORDS; club sandwich :) sooooo delicious! havent tried anything besides that , but its probably just as good as the club sandwich! i love the way shantell makes it for me! you the best!

It was good. The bread was good and the meat fresh. The pasta was not that great but overall I would recommend this place.

  • Ryan W.

As far as sandwiches go on the south short of Kauai, I am pretty certain this is the best thing going. I enjoyed the Classic the best, but the Godfather was also very good (if you like artichokes). The grilled chicken made the little one smile, and everything was made fresh to order. If you want a great lunch for under $10 bucks, this is the spot. The Post Office is just across the street. We needed to send some mail, so we parked there...very convenient.

  • Arnold M.

Sandwich was good. For Kauaii it was good. Try the Godmother.

This place has great breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Great meal for the price in this part of town.

  • LL A.

They use Boars Head meats and the rolls are excellent. Great sandwiches, friendly helpful service. We got a couple of Turkey sandwiches and ate them while hiking Waimea Canyon. Best lunch ever! Not cheap, but compared to hotel food, it's a bargain.

I liked it! Glad to see a vegetarian sandwich that was substantial. Nice to have San Pellegrino drink options, and salads as well. I think everyone was pretty satisfied and the flavor was good. I would recommend this...

Great deli! Sandwiches are delicious and reasonable. Loved the breakfast sandwich, happy I found the place and will come back next time!

Great service and awesome veggie sandwich. Bread is made fresh and tastes so yummy. We have been twice since arriving and will go back again before departing!

  • Jana M.

Great sandwiches. I've only tried their specialty sandwiches: the meatball sub, the godmother, and the pesto club. The meatball was just ok and the godmother and pesto club was awesome. I tried their pasta salad but it was way too salty. Each sandwich costs about $8 but it's well worth it, so fresh and tasty. They use boars head meats and cheeses which are said to be high quality and gluten free. They work fast so no long wait. A few tables to sit outside, but I recommend you grab it and go to the beach to eat.

    (4)
  • David C.

Damn, foo-?! It's like $10 a sang-wich here! But it was delicious! Now, I am a little snooty for saying this, but it looks like they get all the raw ingredients from Costco. But this is freakin' Kauai! Costco is only 20 minutes away, and Italy is like around the world- so getting Italian meats at Costco is probably the fine. Either way, they execute a very delicious homemade sang-wich. When you pay $!0, you think you're getting a very Italian sang-wich. But- it's fine. I had the Godfather and the Classic.

Since yelp helped me find this place, I figured I owed a review! Let me tell you...This was one of the best deli's I have been to in my life. Everything was fresh there. The location is in beautiful Koloa, in the Old Town area. I got a turkey sandwich on there homemade sandwich roll. The bread was amazing. You can actually buy there fresh bread (made daily) there anytime. I have been searching for a "homestyle deli" like this since I have been in Hawaii and have been unable to find one. The turkey they gave me was fresh and peppered...Amazing! My wife got a turkey sandwich as well and she loved it. We both agree, it was some of the best sandwich bread we had ever had. They even had a kids (keiki) menu which my son was able to get a cheap peanut butter and jelly sandiwch. It was awesome! We couldn't wait to go back. We only had one day left on Kauai by the time we discovered this gem, so we decided to go back for breakfast! They do breafast sandwiches there too on there fresh bread. We were absolutely sold on this deli. Anyone in the Koloa Old Town area should def give this place a try. "Best Sandwich in Hawaii hands down!"

Tasty ingredients, fun specials, fast service and a good price for the amount of food you get. These aren't sandwiches that will kill you with their weight, but they're definitely heftier than your standard Subway fare. I have been here twice now and walked away from both experiences full and satisfied. Plus, theirs is the only Italian bean salad my entire family can agree on.

Great sandwiches. Big portions. They make their own bread, try the Koloa Roll. Boar's Head meats and cheeses. Tasty treat.

The Koloa Deli opened in July - what a great addition to the Poipu/Koloa area. My husband and I enjoyed sandwiches and pasta salad tonight for dinnner, while watching a beautiful Kauai sunset. Peppered Turkey & Pepperjack Cheese on a "Koloa roll" for him and a "Godfather" Sandwich for me - both were delicious! We ended the feast with a slice of decadent Belguim Chocolate Pie - Yum!!! Fast, friendly service from a deli with a nice selection of quality goodies. Great for to go food to enjoy the outdoors that Kauai offers. We will definitely try them again on this holiday!

As many know, a decent deli is practically unheard of on Kauai, much less any of the islands. This was a welcome sight. Perfect place to pick up dinner or sandwiches for a hike. Super friendly staff. Boars Head!

Some of the THE BEST SANDWICHES I'VE EVER EATEN. James makes his bread fresh, deli meat sliced to order and uses great ingredients. I had the veggie sandwich on a hoagie roll- just divine. Then had a ham on wheat the next day. Yup we were there like 5 days and we hate 4 meals there. For our days to the north shore, we'd pick up a bagel sandwiches (his bagel are homemade too and SO delicious!) and lunch sandwiches on our drive up. Oh and the owner is nice to boot.

I just moved back to my hometown 6 months ago, 5 minutes up the road from Koloa town. I thought I should start trying out some of the food that people all around the road yelp about. So this week, my teen boys and I decided to do some yelping of our own. We started with the Kauai Food Truck, the Koloa Fish Market and yesterday Koloa Deli. We were not disappointed! My girlfriend had the pesto club, she said it was filling and delicious and well worth the $9. My husband had the roast beef dip sandwich which was so full of meat and the au jus was great! We all took bites out of each other's sandwiches. I had the Capo (special) it was a turkey and mozarella panini with artichoke hearts and pesto. The breads they use are just amazing! My son settled on spaghetti and garlic bread which was extremely reasonable and just $6.50! He said it was REALLY good, except that it had tons of garlic which he could still taste after he had been done eating. Service was professional and quick. It only took 5 minutes to make all of our sandwiches, and in the mean time we went to the Wine Shop next door while we waited. That review is coming up next.

I saw "The Godfather" on the menu and instantly thought of Bay Cities in CA, not as good but really nice. Clam Chowder was excellent. Seating is outside and not very good for stroller parking but worth it for the food.

My wife and I were on the island for 8 days and we had lunch at the Koloa deli 2 times! First I had a pastrami sandwich which was really Good. On my second trip I had a sandwich with turkey salami and pepper jack cheese and it was amazing but I forget the name of it.. It was the special of the day written on the white board. The staff was very nice

Reminds me a bit of Jimmy Johns sandwich without all the throwing around your food. Staff is friendly and sandwiches are reasonably priced
